For a long time now, the quiz threads have been causing quite a few problems for a variety of different reasons - they get started and then abandoned, people running them don't update quickly enough, people aren't happy with their results and try applying again... We've tried changing the rules to make them mod-approved only, but we're still getting problems with them and so I'm afraid a few changes to this forum have to be made.
  1. ALL new quiz threads MUST be approved by a moderator first. If you do not apply for permission, your thread WILL be locked. We will only consider new quiz proposals from members who have been here for at least a month, who have posted consistently, and who have blemish-free records. Make sure that you include a copy of your quiz and how you intend to sort people when you contact the moderators (Wizengamot)

  2. You MUST update your quiz AT LEAST once a week. If you can't get here any more frequently than that, then you should not be running a quiz thread.

  3. All sortings, regardless of the quiz are FINAL. If you don't like the results, then make sure you answer the questions properly and truthfully the first time around. DO NOT send owls to the co-ordinators asking to be resorted.

  4. If you need a break from a thread for WHATEVER reason, be it school, holidays, etc, YOU MUST inform a moderator. If you do not, your thread will be locked and deleted with no further notification. If you can't take the time to let the staff know what's happening, then I'm afraid that it is unfair of you to expect us to notify you of what we are doing.

  5. All threads that are abandoned (i.e no results received after a week) will be locked and deleted. All existing locked threads will be deleted. We will no longer accept applications for new co-ordinators for existing threads.
I'm really very sorry that these rather harsh conditions have become necessary, but we're receiving so many complaints about threads not being updated or results not being liked that something had to be done.

The results of the quiz threads are nice, but they're not of life or death importance - please be patient - everyone who runs this forum also has lives to live and thus can't be here twenty four hours a day, every day. Once a week should be the least a co-ordinator should be updating; ideally it should be more frequent than that. If you don't get results within seven days, then please let me know - but PLEASE make sure that you've checked the thread properly first.
