I know it is sooooo amazing imagine being the third richest woman in entertainment!!! And all you are doing is using your imagination to make a set of books!! She is even ahead of a lot of famous actresses aswell!!!

she said she was visiting america once and this lady yelled to her "I'M SO GLAD YOU'RE RICH" when she was comparing america with..britain/london. Was it in New York? Anyways, she thought that was really neat or something

I think that's great! Rather than over-paid film stars or footballers, someone who is known for her amazing intellect and imagination...it's brilliant! She 100% deserves it and the great thing is that she has come from being really poor and has earnt every penny herself!

Rowling 2nd Richest Woman In Entertainment According To Forbes??
this doesn't surprise me! she deserves it too! she went from earning pratically nothing to earning big bucks! it was her idea, her little plan and her imagnation... nobody else's. she has done a great job in creating something that everyone can enjoy! the wizarding world can be appriciated by all of us and it's something that is cleverly written.
also... i agree with Muggle_Born_Girl...

I know that this is completly off topic, but K.Lupin_werewolf..I LOVE YOUR CHOCOHOLIC LUPIN ICON. Really. Alot. It's so cute I think I'm going to cry. haha..aw..

aah...everyone seems obsessed with Lupin and his chocolate. hahaha..I want to see JKR's response to this. Besides..Chocolate is comfort food.

That's amazing for her! She deserves way more than any other person like, oh say i dunno, Paris Hilton who is famous for god knows what! She, unlike many other people who are famous, actually does work and is proud of herself for it.
JKR is a respectful woman who deserves this a lot. I am so happy for her!

awww LadyCakeage i'm so sorry

i have changed it now. aww sorry but thanks anyway. he he who wouldn't be obsessed with chocolate.... i am

on-topic.
i think we can all agree that J.K deserves it! and i know what you mean Krissy15. people like Pairs Hilton etc don't deserve it. J.K came from the "gutters" by working for it. and now she was lots of money because she worked for it. good on her!! and well done. she has done really well.

Good on J.K

She is earning money from a amazing talent of writing that she posses! And on the mentioning of Paris Hilton, she is only 'famous' because her dad (or is it family) own the Hilton hotles! Seriusoly thats why! She onlt famous becasue of what her father owns I simply can not understand how that classes as 'fame' if you like. Well we all certainly agree that J.K desevers the money, as long as she isn't greedy with it of course

And just think... She used to be below poverty line!! Wow, way to make your dreams come true Joanne!!
I also read somewhere that she never ever dreamed that she would make this much money on these books... haha... She thought wrong!!

Well done J.K! She defiently deservers it. She has sparked a new intrest in a younger audience. If Harry Potter wasn't about i couldn't imagine it. So i think she deserves all the money available for doing that!

I also she was richer than the Queen of England. Well the U.K! Anyone know if this is true??

well dan yeterday in our paper or the t.v or something i read that J.K has 70 million in the bank and that she is the richest woman (i don't know if it said person) in the U.K. so she obviously has more money than the Queen!

I'm really happy that she's rich! I saw in a documentary or something like that about how she got to write the first HP books. I remember her saying that there was a time when she was worried about how she was going to feed her daughter and herself because her income was practically nonexistant. I'm really glad that she's overcome all that trouble, and that she's become so appreciated all around the world. She's very talented, and the fact that she can provide for her children (which as I can remember was her biggest concern) now all on her own makes me feel really happy for her!

I completely agree with you Kaitlyn. She has become an inspiration to all. Its really easy to give up when life throws you a curve ball, so the fact that she kept fighting and kept putting herself out there even when she kept getting rejected i think was extremely brave. She now has something to show for all her years of struggle. I say way to go JK, you deserve it hun.

Good for her, I am glad she is successful. I know through her books she has brought reading to so many children, and that is a wonderful thing. I know she is very charitable, and helps many schools get books and other items that they need. I know Oprah is very charitable, and it prooves that those who give back will be very blessed. She has done an outstanding job with her career, and I hope she continues to have lots of success.

I saw that TV program it is good to see someone getting on the list through intellectual means, instead of being an actress or an heiress. I watched it on a plane ride back from New Zealand but I already knew Opera would be first, and J.K. Rowling would be second. I wonder if Stephanie Meyer is on the list somewhere because I don't remember.

I agree, I'm glad someone made that list through intellects, rather than being an actress or musician. & of course I'm not suprised that Oprah is first

I can't remember the last time she was even second! lol hard woman to bring down.
