Although I like all movies Independent films are just so good cause they always have a plot or a moral, ya know? Instead of how some movies are just pointless. (Like "You Got Served")

It is a very good movie. I really like it. I like Sean Penn. After i saw him in "I am Sam" I have loved his acting. And this movie was fantastic to me...great acting went on. What do you think of the younger actresses these days..like Hillary Duff, or Raven...to me i like Dakota Fanning. She had already been in many great films and i just saw this preview for this new film she is in. It is with Robert Deniro(Who i love) and Dakota's hair is long and black. It didn't show much in the preview but by what i saw it looks like a horror and it seems as though Dakota's character knows something...like a future seeir or something and Robert's Character needs her help...it looks pretty good..by they way..have you seen Man on Fire yet?

I'm just wondering but err why are LOTR and Pirates of the Caribbean in their own categories? lol.
Has anyone watched the whole movie of Monster (with Charlize Theron and Christina Ricci).
mmm haven't seen Man on Fire, didn't appeal to me.

Oh, yeah...I agree with you on that one...I like Dakota too...she's just fantastic in 'I am Sam'! (lol, that's a great movie too, I cried the first time I watched it..) and she's pretty young too (I seems to have overuse the word 'too'! LOL, oh, whatever...)...I'm sure she'll make it big when she's grows up...Man On Fire? Not yet here on theatre but I heard it's good...
and oh, I got a bootleg of 'Mystic River'. Haven't got the time to watch it though...I'm sure I'll find the time next weekend since you guys said it's worth to watch...

Monster is a good movie, really well done. Haven't seen Mystic River, and I loved Man on Fire... just got the dvd the other day, haven't had a chance to watch it again yet though.
Dakota Fanning is one of my favorite actresses, and her new movie (the one halfbloodprincess mentioned) Hide and Seek will almost definetely be awesome. Its a thriller I believe, and lol, dakota looks really creepy with dark hair. Very mature, and very weird :-P
I read the descrip on IMDB and well, yeah the movie sounds like it'll be awesome. Sean Penn is great too, I loved him (and Dakota) in I am Sam and Sean in 21 Grams.

So I started this topic to discuss our favorite movies. Of course one of mine is the Harry Potter series, but I also LOVE Miracle. Dunno why, I'm not attached to hockey in any way, the movie was just too real and inspiring I s'pose. Plus it has a good soundtrack lol.

My favorite movies, as you may guess, are Lord of the Rings and Star Wars. They are the most awesome movies and stories ever on this Earth. I have to say that I frankly like them a whole lot better than Harry Potter. Harry Potter is my 6th favorite movie, if even that.
Pirates of the Caribbean also rocks. Some movies that are slightly funny as comedy movies (though I like action/adventure a whole lot better than comedy) are Father of the Bride and Legally Blonde. Though I think that Legally Blonde is really very almost incredibly stupid. It doesn't require any concentration. Movies have to include some complexity to make them cool and Intense.
Anyways, that's basically it. LOTR and Star Wars Rocks!

I love Ewan McGregor movies ::blushes:: Moulin Rouge is my all time favorite, Baz Lurhmann is a genius. But I like Trainspotting too.

I must say that directors of movies don't really matter to me now, since I haven't seen enough movies by certain directors to really know how good they are and how they create their movies etc etc. I look for genre: mostly I like comedies and action/ adventure.

Hmm, I don't really watch Sports movies but..:
Miracle seemed good from the little I saw (it was playing while I was on an airplane)
Drumline was good (that doesn't count does it? have to watch it again sometime)
I have never seen Remember The Titans before, although parts of it were filmed at my old school...
Oo Pirates of the Carribean was really good (I know thats not a sports movie

)
Another good, non-sports, movie is Ladder 49, it (literailly) just came out though. Its about firemen, basically its the 1 fireman looking back on his life. Its rated PG-13 for language and such though. Its not the best but it is a tear-jeaker.

I am not into sports.
However... I like...
Lord of the Rings
Harry Potter (hmm... surprise!)
The Princess Bride
What's Up, Doc? (Streisand movie. completely hilarious)
Waking Ned Devine (great Irish comedy)
The Emperor's New Groove
Disney's Robin Hood (primarily for Prince John)
So I guess that makes it mostly epics and comedies. Heh. A bit of a gap there.

Was it really that good? All of the cheerleaders at my school (Note: I'm not a cheerleader, I haven't seen it yet) went to see it to celebrate the end of the end of football season (for us, we lost too many games to make it to the play-offs). They said it was really good.

Lol you get into your movies kalondo don't you? Heehee.
I liked POTC (that confused me for a second but then I read on and said, "Oh! I get it!) from the little I saw- we watched it the last few days of Algebra classes (best lesson plan ever!).
I love comedies too, they crack me up, and I like especially going with a big group of friends 'cause then we're never able to stop laughing it's so fun.
Ooohh there's good movies coming out this holiday season! Too bad there's no Harry Potter stuff

, I could annoy my friends by recalling parts of it constantly

. I want to see Christmas with the Kranks and Series of Unfortunate Events....oh yeah that'll rock

I really like the old song they're playing during the first fighting sequence in the movie...I think it's called 'Close To You' by Carpenters.
