Well Ianto..

Good Points - He seems a fairly down to earth guy apart from his secrets. His love for Lisa is genuine and he shares a stong bond for her. He is also very resourceful and you can reley on him. I think without him the team wouldn't be the same and without their cup of teas! He becomes more open in Countrycide which i think helps him and the teams better understanding of him. He also seems very clever useing the water tower as a relay when they are locked in. In episode 8, which shows he has many intresting attributes. He is also is very good to his boss Jack! Alot of bosses need an employee like him. Thosse are his good attributes i hope more of them will be unraveled in series 2.

Bad Points - He is like a walking shadow with a door that can't be opened. He has many secrets from the team like Lisa prehaps. Bottling up secrets can be very bad. This also shows his trust in the team can waver. He seems a bit like Tosh in a sense where he can't talk freely to the team. Like Owen, Gwen and Jack! Even though he opens up more after Cyberwoman. It seems not enough. He is a dark character in a sense, that he is to wallowed up in sorrow. I fear for Ianto because i think this may his downfall.

There is my verion of Ianto in a nutshell.

Right Ianto good ad bad points :

Good : I think Ianto is a really nice guy who would do anything for the ones he loved. He looks out for his friends like in Countrycide when he headbutts the cannibal guy so that Tosh can escape but he risked his life doing that. He tries his best to put a brave face on things, like in Cyberwoman after Lisa had died he just carried on with his work trying to keep his pain hidden.

Bad : He is very secretive and can get a little out of line when he is upset, like in Cyberwoman when he starts shouting at Jack. He doesn't really talk much, i suppose thats probably why he's so good at keeping secrets since he isn't very talkative.

Okay my answer will be a mature adult like answer and here it is:
Did Owen love Gwen? No, I don’t believe Owen ever really loved Gwen. To be honest I think Owen was just in it for, well, sex basically. Now if we think back to the sixth episode (‘Countrycide’) when the team are setting up camp:
“What am I supposed to do with this?” *Owen*
“Need a hand getting it up Owen?” *Tosh*
“If I did, I wouldn’t ask you.” *Tosh*
Tosh’s smile drops and she walks away.
This moment between the two strongly suggest that perhaps Tosh cares/fancies/loves Owen. This in itself is hard to explain what I mean however if you watch that moment yourself you will understand what I am saying also in that same episode seconds later when Gwen is asking everyone who was the last person they kissed:
“Tosh your go.” *Gwen*
“It’s easy for you.” *Tosh*
“Oh come on spill the beans.” *Gwen*
“Owen.” *Tosh*
Now obviously from this moment in the episode we know that Tosh has kissed Owen meaning she has perhaps been involved with him. Now in the eighth episode, (‘They Keep Killing Suzie’) when Suzie and Gwen are talking:
“Have you slept with Owen?” *Suzie*
Gwen just stares at Suzie and doesn’t answer.
*Huffs* “There you go replace me completely.” *Suzie*
Suzie’s second line (“There you go replace me completely.”) strongly suggests that Suzie had a sexual relationship with Owen at one point. Therefore we can come to the conclusion that Owen has clearly been involved with each Torchwood female member which then would imply that he is without question a lady’s man. Another factor to consider when considering whether or not Owen loved Gwen would have to be the scene in the woods after Owen tells everyone else that the last person he kissed was in fact Gwen:
“And the things I could tell from that kiss.” *Owen*
“Oh like?” *Gwen*
“Like your sex life isn’t up to much.” *Owen*
“What!?” *Gwen*
The conversion after that I can not repeat because I feel it would not be a appropriate but in short Owen takes the mick out of Gwen and her sex life and then says that they would be amazing together.
So to sum it all up, I overall think that Owen never loved Gwen. With his charms, looks and is way of manipulate people’s way of thinking he simply worms his way into their life.

I do understand you to the fullest. And i agree Owen is a ladys man, but i untill recently basically yesterday i would regretablly agreed with you.

But i will gve you a chance to watch Torchwood Dvd special features which there you will understand what Russel T Davies says when they are talking about the climatic bit of They Keep Killing Suzie. Russel said something like this..

" Owen could have gone with Jack and joined in the shooting but his place was to check Gwen and care for her." I can't be completley correct i am sure you understand but i believe the care he showed there made me think he did love her. And t be honest i think it hurt him to dump Gwen in episode 11.. He did fall in love with Diane. And he couldn't help it.
As Diane quotes in Out of Time.

" Love you are always at it's mercy." aWhich is true for Owen.

But he seemed a little hurt to dump Gwen.

Well that is what i believe.

Right i know this is quick but i have explained my reasons to Ainsley why it is so quick. But here is my fan fiction. I think if i had gone on any longer i might have ruined the story.

Set sometime during Greeks Bearing Gifts.

Reflecting moods.


Toshiko Sato sat in front of the glass that separated her from the Weevil. Torchwoods new inhabitant. She looked into the eyes of the Weevil she knew she shouldn’t Jack had told her not to look into the eyes of an Alien that you can’t predict. But she saw the sadness in the Weevil’s eyes and it felt like a mirror image of her. She was deflated. The team pitied her.
She saw the same sadness in the Weevils eyes but mixed with hate and anger. She knew that if the glass between them vanished the Weevil would want to tear her limb from limb. She wasn’t scared of the Weevils anymore she felt there sadness.
She made to leave but she paused half way out of her seat why should she? There wasn’t as if the rest of the team would be waiting her.
She bit back the tears as she recalled the conversation she had heard between Owen and Gwen. Just a mere few hours ago.
She felt anger well up in her just like the Weevil she was ready to strike out. But then the doors to the vaults opened.
Jack stood in the doorway watching her. Toshiko’s eyes slide away from the Weevil.
“ You sure you don’t want to come” Jack asked.
“ I’m fine I’ll stay here for a while” Toshiko answered. And then without another word Jack left and Toshiko Sato was on her own again.


Hope you like it as i say short but i think effective on Toshikos character.

Right Ainsley here is my second Fan Fiction entry It is the 1st Chapter but you know i will continue it later but that 1st Chapter is my 2nd Entry.

A day of steel.


Ianto was bored. Bored as hell but nothing change at least the wage was good. What was he kidding he has seen things no one else had seen, it was a good job but cleaning up after wasn’t great.
So when Ianto Jones was driving home from the hub when he saw a familiar steel shape, he nearly flung himself of the road.
There was no mistaken the familiar outer shell of the dreaded Cybermen.
Ianto without thinking what he was doing pummelled the car into gear and drove the car straight at the Cybermen. Then without waiting to see what had happened he drove back to the hub.
Jack would still be there he knew that. So without waiting another second he jammed himself in side.
Jack was at his desk when Ianto came in. Writing a report to a president of a far distant country. As Ianto burst through the door jack asked without looking up from his work.
“ What is it with people charging there way through into this place?”
Ianto cut across Jack before he could say anymore.
“ Jack a Cyberman out there.”
“ What!”
Jack was out of his seat before Ianto registered it.
“ Call the rest of the team, then get the SUV ready” Jack ordered with a strangled ferocity in his voice.
Immediately Ianto jumped to.

* * *
Owen groaned as the phone rang he had a thumping headache and was just thinking of an early night when his mobile rang with the name Ianto on the display screen.
Owen picked up the receiver.
“ What?” he groaned
“ Owen, come into the hub straight away emergency it’s a Cybermen.”
Owen had the keys in the lock of the door but Ianto can say another word.

Gwen was awake anyway and she knew how serious was leaving Rhys in bed she put on her coat and was out the door into the night.

Tosh was at the computer the computer had gone a bit wary before Ianto rang. So she was ready ringing at this time meant there was trouble.

So the Torchwood team where ready in the hub wafting for that horrible sound of metallic stomping and it came, it went on for a whole minute. Then there was a dreaded silence. And after that the door to the entrance of the hub exploded.

A cliffhanger…
