i have the weirdest breaking bones stories...like one time me and my friend were running around in her backyard and i sat down and she sat next to me but she sat on my thumb and it broke...and then last year during gym class we were playing football (american football) and a kid tackled me and i fell and broke my wrist...and passed out...and somehow i always manage to get these injuries right before my dance recitals so my dance teacher hates me

Does getting shot count? I was on holiday in America and i was waiting for a trolley bus thing. And someone fired something at us. While they drove past. It must have been a Bulbarein gun or BB gun. What ever you call it. It hit my arm and it didn't half sting.

It was shcok more than anything...

Well, I've had thousands of bruises from when I fall off the horse jumping, but I've never had anything serious... Once I was
walking the horse and it tripped, and I was sent flying accros the arena!! I bruised in a couple of places but I was covered in dirt from head to toes, so everyone told me it looked as if I was returning from a battlefield or something!
Then there was this other time when I was about to jump, and the horse suddenly decided to refuse the jump, so I was thrown into the obstacle and the whole thing collapsed
on me... but I only got a sprained ankle!
And so many falls I've had on horses where I've been left without breath, hallucinating, seeing double, and badly bruised..but never with a broken bone
Besides that, I once sprained my thumb playing basketball, and I bruise like a peach, really

My parents, my self and my next door neighbor agree that I am accident prone.
I trip over anything, my feet, some one elses feet, ANYTHING.
I jammed my finger playing basketball in P.E two years ago. Still swolllen.
Did something to my knee in May. I don't know what. Still swollen.
Nearly broke my nose doing a flip on a trampoline.
Fell down my stairs and nearly broke my tailbone.
Sister fractured my toe in second grade.
Jammed my wrist when I rode my bike into a ditch that my friend told me was there.
Shut my fingers in my locker at school.
Shut my finger in the bathroom stall door, where the lock is.
Honestly, accident prone.

I am a bit accident prone myself. Somehow I always manage to hit my knee. Whether if its when I sit down from a table , stand up from a table, walk by a table, go by a cabinet, I always hit my knee. I also play soccer, so I get A LOT of injuries from that. During every game I get at least one injury whether it be as minor as a bruise or something more serious. I have gotten hit twice on the nose so hard, that I started bleeding. Another time I got hit in the eye and my eye swelled up as if I had been in a boxing match. Crazy... so yes, I know what it means to get hurt.

I'm very accident prone, but surprisingly, I've never actually broken a bone. I have recieved a great number of other, semi-small injuries, though. The biggest one would be when I was about three. I was twirling around, demonstrating 'ballet' moves, and I crashed into wooden furniture. I cracked my head open and I still have a scar. Its in the same spot as Harry Potter's, though, so I like to joke around and call myself Harriet Pottress.
Aside from that, I have pulled a muscle in my leg several times, I twisted my ankle, my heel had some weird inflammation thing and I couldn't do dance class for a week, my knee gets stiff sometimes, I ran into a fence and had a huge scrape on my leg, and my brother scratched my nose and left a scar. I'm always getting little bruises, too. Right now, I have a huge one on my knee that it finally going away. I also have a fair few scratches and a small bruise on my other knee. Injuries just always seem to find me...

Like Emma I am accident prone. Never broken a bone either though. Which is surprising. My most recent injury is falling in a ditch and tearing up my knee. I've done worse though. On accident and on purpose. I wouldn't recommend going outside when it's raining and playing a guitar. Electric or not. It isn't too fun. Plus electric shocks. I've smashed my finger under hammers, slammed a car door on my wrist really hard, shocked myself on a light switch, and cutting a peel off an orange and sliced my finger. It hurts!!

Let's see, my most recent injury would have to be Monday in P.E. We were doing crossovers as a warm up and I tripped over someone's feet and I bruised both heels of my hands, my hip, and my knee. It's quite sad.

Several weeks back, I had an incident with my motorcycle. I broke my leg which required 22 stitches to close the laceration and I had some very excellent abrasions. All in all, the scars are starting to form, and I have a decent story from them.

Well, today, i got in a car crash. It was really scary! So from that i kinda hurt my neck from whiplash. Its been hurting on and off all day.
I have a recurring ankle injury. In every sport that i do, i have managed to sprain it, or hurt the ligaments in it, or something! It really sucks, its been happening to me, for like, ... 4 years or more or something like that.
Also the only bone that i have every broken was my left thumb. I still can't bend it all the way. When i was in, like, second or first grade (i think it was second) i was getting out of my moms car and i slammed the door, and i usually moved my thumb out of the way wen i closed it, but i was distracted, so i didnt, and it slammed it right on the joint. I did kind of a silent scream. It really sucked. I fractured it.
Also, when i was in second grade, you know that jungle gym things with the fire pole thing on it where you slide on it like a fire man? Well i had just gotten off one of those, and i turned around really fast and hard, and i hit a metal pole and chipped my front tooth. I hit it so hard it left a mark where my tooth made contact. It was pretty crazy.

ahhh i saw the title injuries' and thought thats a forum for me
im not an accident prone but i tend to get injuries in weird ways
may the list commence

i got my head split open when some one threw an empty coke bottle (plastic) towards the bin- apparently- though he ended up excluded when he admitted he was aim for my head
right wrist- broken leaning over the side of bed and i started slipping so my sister pulled my arm to help me up and snap we have broken bone
left wrist- 4 weeks for mum and step dads wedding- climbing tree and jumps across to climbing frame- does not realise that my friend had dicedd to move it further away from the tree- doesnt look mis judges distance
thud on floor snap goes wrist i also happen to have landed in stinging nettles fun
right wrist- again- going to my room mum call me back i turn round trip over my foot fall into wall snap goes the wrist
trying to get of a moving round about - falls holds onto the bar gets dragged along the floor in circles before having the sense to let go had some mega cuts on me

cheek cut open by cousin smacked me round the face with his block of mega lego as i took the last red brick
playing netball jump for ball at same time as some one on other team both collide i fall first and stop my face hitting floor using my hands both sprain
he then landed smack straight on my head face in to floor tooth cracks another one almost through lip
out on browines trip friend runs up behind me to make me jump trips and head butts between my shoulder blades i get whip lash
BEST ONE playing hockey friend on MY team tackles me hits puck like playing golf swings straight into my chin- fat was hanging out could see the bone blood i just say ow i bit my tongue
cant think of any more at the moment that are spectacular
the funny thing is other than accidents when i was younger other people freak out more tha i do
like bottle incident- i have blood pouring over my face and im say ow then congratulate him on a good shot everyone else is scrabling for mobiles to call an ambulance lol

You know, as many times as I've been hurt, I've never broken any bones. I'm so excited! Okay, my list of somewhat minor yet slightly major injuries is quite long.

Lately I've been tripping and smashing into almost everything. I don't know why. I'm not usually so accident prone......
Ok, I ran into a patio door and broke my tooth. A permanent tooth. (Ok, I know what you're thinking, 'she ran into a door?' The door was so clean I thought it was open and ran to go through and slammed into it.) It really hurt.
When we were stacking firewood I tripped and fell into the kindling pile and a stick cut through my knee. It was gross. I still have a scar from that one.
Oh another knee injury, we went to this park, which is now closed, and it was this river and rocks that you walk down and swim in and I fell on a rock and it cut through my knee. I needed stitches. Still have a scar from that one too.
I can't tell you how many times I've smashed my head into something. That's probably why I am like I am.

But, I hurt myself all the time. Never anything really big, fortunately, but enough to get me annoyed.

Ouch! Pretty gruesome stories Nasuada and rach2603. I have been lucky enough where I haven't had any injuries that needed stitching *knocks three times on wood*. Lately, I have had quite a few head injuries.
1. I was in the shower and the soap dropped, so I went to pick it up and when I came back up I hit my head with the soap dish that's attached to the wall. (That one hurt.)
2. Another day I dropped the razor and when I went to bend down to pick it up, I hit my head against the wall on my way down. (I should really start paying attention in the shower)
3. Just yesterday (now mind you I don't know how I could have done this) I was going into my room and I went to close the door behind me. Now I must have misjudged the timing or something because I guess I wasn't completely out of the way yet, so when I closed the door I hit myself on the side of the head, hard. What a goober right?
Also a few years ago, my brother and I were playing with a basketball in the garage. We were bouncing it to each other back and forth. We kept trying to make it bounce higher and higher til the point that we were basically hitting it against the ceiling. Now one of these times, my brother bounced it and it hit the glass case that covered the light bulb on the ceiling. As I looked up, I could see that it was coming down right on my head. You think I moved?....... No. It was like in the movies where the person looks up and you see the shadow of the object getting bigger and bigger as it gets closer to the ground. Ya. So it hit me in the head and can you believe that it didn't break? It bounced off my head and broke when hit the ground! I guess I'm not as hardheaded as I thought I was

Done that too! It really, really hurt. I was two headed for a week almost. Okay, and your little 'accident' with the glass made me laugh... sorry about it, but I did. I can just imagine how it'd take several seconds to realise that the glass was acually going to hit you. haha
Nasuada, I don't question you! I've done it too. Both running into a door of class, but also tried to go through a door which opened the wrong way than I thought. Not fun.
Okay, like some other I've never broken one single bone... Oh, wait, that's actually a lie. I broke the tip of my finger (Playing handball can hurt very much), though I didn't know I had done it, and I walked around for a month, thinking I'd sprained a finger while it was broken. When I finally got to the doctor to ask why my finger still hurt he said I'd had broken it. Now I have a crooked finger like a witch...
But I'm currently suffer from a thing called 'Jumper's knee'. It's a injury a lot of jumpers have, I've been told. It came from overtaxing my knee after another injury. Now I can't really play any sports as it hurt too much. I tell you, never underestimate injuries and places wherre it hurt! You might have to suffer several years later as I do now.

I play lots of sports so I've had a few injuries including a broken toe, broken wrist, sprained ankle, twisted knee, bruised ribs, pulled muscles(I currently have a pulled muscle in my right shoulder), some weird injury to my back and hip (the most painful) and it happened about 8 months ago and I can still feel it sometimes and I dont know if my back will ever be the same. My back and hip throb at times and I can easily hurt my back now and it isn't fun.

Hmm... The only time I've needed stitches was when my neighboor and I were racing (pretty stupidly) on the street; she was on a bike and I ran. I got to the finish line first and I was starting to celebrate when my neighboor "accidentaly" pushes me with her bike and I fall flat on my face. My forehead started bleeding, and the blood ran down to my eyes... I was eight and I still have a scar (which looks like Harry's scar

)
One time I was running down my friend's house porch steps and I tripped on the last step and hit my hip with the fence; I
almost needed stitches on that one.
Then one time I was in our Chemistry Lab and I was slicing a cork and I cut my index finger...it was pretty stupid.
One time I was in a water park and I was helping my nephew get out of the pool. Then many things happened at once: he jumped, I was about to talk, with his head he hit my chin and my tongue ended up bleeding like crazy (I couldn't eat properly for weeks)
And my body is always covered in green and purple bruises. I'm not sick, by the way, it's just that I bruise like a fruit: something can hit me so lightly that I don't even feel it, but the next day I'll find a purple mark on my skin for sure.

I'm a bit accident prone... ok, maybe more than a bit! It's a miracle if I can't find one bumb, cut, or bruise on my person at a time. Right now I've got a nice long cut from a sharp rock I fell on (I'm also a clutz; not a good mix, is it?), a bruise from the same fall, and blisters on my hands from shoveling mulch for a couple hours yesterday.
My most serious injury was when I was three. I ran into my bedroom, tripped over the rug, and fell. The rocking chair my dad would sit in to read me and my sister stories rocked down on my forehead. I had seven stiches... I think. It was a while ago.

i have ranned into screen doors, i have banged my knee in every possible way
i have a scar on my thigh that will never go away but it has an interesting story. it goes back when i was 13 & in the 8th grade. it was afterschool & my bus drops us off by our stop & my use to be BFF & i stayed begind to hang with out friends before we go home. they were playing with a beer bottle that they found & they thought that it would befun to smash it against the floor . so they tried & tried & the bottle [glass bottle mind you] kept bouncing off the ground like rubber. so my friend & i are walking home & we see another beer bottle. she like the smart one that she is wanted to try & see if that bottle would bounce. she through it against the curve of the street , the bottle shatterd every where ! she ended up cutting her finger right down the middle. as for me apparently the distance that i put myself between her wasnt good enough. it so happened that a peice of glass flew it cut out a chunk of skin/meat off my thigh that when i immeadiately looked down i saw all white inside then blood started coming out. we looked like bafoons walking home [well i did clutching my thigh]

then when i was ten in the 5th grade, i was at my cousins house one day & i was in a room & i didnt want him to come in. & he was older & stronger than me. & so i closed the door shut & he pushes it & i push it. he has me against the wall with my hands still pushing. elbows touching the wall hand against the door. i put my left arm free from that , i guess i wasnt fast enough to put the other , so in an instance it was like a split second that i couldnt believe that it was real, my wrist was fractured in 2 places

it hurt SO bad. i was taken to the hospital. to fix that they had to pull my arm from both ends & place the bones back as if connecting, but only you can imagine that pain that i felt
& not too long ago i was practicing to try out for the schools dance team that as i was orking on my right split which i finally had the injury moment. as i go down& touch the floor , i let my hands go & all of a sudden you hear three cracks up the back of my right thigh. my friend was 4 feet away from me & we were outside our school by our flagpoles around a group of people that even she heard it & described it as a gun shot. turns out that i pulled my hamstring. not too bad i didnt tear thank god, but it cost me my tryouts : /
then the few minor inuries that happend before the age of five are like when i as four & i was outside my house in a kiddie pool with my cousins , my uncle is a construction worker & worked alot with cinder blocks. one day im running inside this pool & i slip & when i fall back there was a cinder block behind me & the corner of it hit my in the middle of my head :/ ouch then when i was three i was told that i was at my other uncles house & when i was running around i went & ran into the corner of the table. it hit me in the middle of my forhead but more up my hairline. i have a bald spot there & lastly before i bore you with pain. when i was twelve i was climbing this playground that was too small for me, but as i go up i hit my entire head againt a woood thing that i bleed on my entire left side. i didnt cry but its sure made it harder to do my hair at times

haha.

Oooh, those are all awful! Ouch!
I've never had any bones broken, except....
My little toe
I was just sitting on the floor in my room working at something and the tv was on in the next room, and suddenly I heard something great, got up and ran to see it and kicked the metal foot of our excersise bike in the process. Next I sat 5 minutes on the floor clutching my toe, with tears flowing from the pain and laughing that I was actually whining about my little toe!!!
When it was Xrayed, you could see that it was broken almost to the root (is that what they call it?) of the bone.
The doctors didn't know what to do, because they couldn't plaster it, it was too small.

So they bandaged it to my fourth toe to keep it still. I had to bandage it for the next few weeks. + I could only walk limping so that it wouldn't touch the ground
I think the whole thing was hilarious. Me breaking my little toe... how typical.
Well, that'll say how I'm not a sports person.
Oh, and a few months later, I did exactly the same thing (running, kicking excercise bike, clutching toe), only then it didn't break!

I have had A LOT of injuries!
Broken bones: Broken both my wrists 2 times each, broke my elbow, broke my left ankle a lot of times, broke my right ankle and broke the side of my foot 2 times. I have to many to tell how I broke them all.
Others: Both of my knee's give out and hurts a lot, I might have Lyme Disease, I have a messed up ankle, I have a messed up hip which is very painful, got lots of stitches also and I got my big toe caught in a door when I went on vacation and my whole toe nail fell off.

Besides shaving my shin to the bone from a desk, I've had a lot of weird accidents.
I was chasing a balloon on my knees and landed on the metal prongs of the tape dispenser. I still have the scar.
I was on a booge board on the reef, waiting for a wave. It came and I sliced my angle on the reef. Still have the scar.
I ran down a hill in kindergarden and ran into the girl in front of me. She hit her head on the asphalt and I lost all of the skin on my right knee. The scar is, yet again, still there.
I have a bruise on my leg for two weeks now, where a tiny dog smacked into me.
I got burned trying to get on to a motorcycle, for the first time. That is pretty lame.
I've also got up from getting something on the floor and hit my head on something. It's like it jumps in your way. It wasn't there when you bent down and then it's there when you stand up. LOL!!
Anyways, most of you guys here are pretty accident prone! Good luck trying not to get hurt!!

My most recent injury is a sprained ankle and I did it five days ago at camp. We were playing a game called infiltration which is kinda like capture the flag without flags and there is a attacking and defending team not teams that do both. Basically you have miles and miles of area to run and the point of the game for the attacking team is to get to the base without being tagged and the defending team tries to tag them. We hadn't actually played the game in several camps because once a camper ended up about four miles off of camp grounds.
Anyway I was on the attacking team and the game had started like five minutes ago. I had just gotten out of the woods after blazing my own trail (if you used a trail you're basically tagged) and I was going up and I saw someone on the other team coming for me and I started running on the pavement and the defender was way behind me and I sprained my ankle running away. The only good thing about that was the person chasing me was the heath aid so I didn't have to go look for her and basically I limped back to the health room and she wrapped my ankle. The health aid got really mad at me when I tried to sneak back and play the game again. The swelling is just starting to go down, but it was pretty swollen and now it is still pretty swollen and it is all purple and blue. It still hurts a lot and I had trouble sleeping the night I injured it. The next night at camp I slightly sprained my other ankle and that hurt for a while but it doesn't anymore.

My most recent injuries are turning out to be pretty bad actually. The oldest was last November when I shattered my nose. In December a piece of glass went into my calf. And this June, a sharp piece of rebar stabbed the same calf (I know, yuck)
Shattered Nose- I was at my college on the quad playing frisbee. And I was running to catch a pass when someone from across the quad through a bocce ball. Well, it happened to hit me from about 50yds away right on the bridge of my nose and shattered it completely (bone and all). Some surgery was needed after that, needless to say.
Glass in Calf- I was up in Canada and I was walking along side of a road when a car crashed into a pole right in front of me. I jumped and yelled like a little girl (no offense) and a 4 inch piece of glass pierced my left calf. To be honest with you, it didn't hurt because the edge of the glass was so sharp and smooth. To be honest, a paper cut hurts more

.
Rebar in Calf- I was working with my father in the caribbean building villas. And down there the houses are all concrete and rebar (sharp, normally rusty, metal). Well I was up on the roof and I was climbing down the side to lay rebar and I swung my leg around right onto a piece of rebar sticking up. That one hurt a little bit

Oh ow! That sounds like it would hurt a ton. I've cut my hands on rebar at my house and I know that hurt quite a bit.
I'm pretty accident prone, even though I'm a rather cautious individual. I've broken my left forearm, sprained both of my wrists and I did something weird to my ankle. Not to mention I'm always bruised!
Broken arm: I was in elementary school and some friends and I were playing on the monkey bars. We had a crazy idea to try running and jumping and grabbing hold of the bars to swing back and forth. I did it a couple times, and then one time I went and I didn't have a good hold on the bar so I fell and my arm went backwards. It wasn't a bad break, in fact it was just a "greenstick fracture" as the doctor called it. I was lucky on that count. It really didn't hurt that much, I actually spent the rest of the day at school and when I got home and showed my mom she brought me to the hospital where I learned that it was broken. A sprain hurts worse.
Sprained wrists: I'm a pianist, so sprains and breaks concerning my arms really should be avoided. Unfortunately, that doesn't stop me. I actually sprained my right wrist around the same time that I broke my left arm. The way it happened-I fell in the hallway. Yes, that's right, I FELL and sprained my wrist.
I sprained my left wrist a couple years later while playing volleyball. For that one, I just got some medical tape, taped it up and kept on playing. I paid for that later though, when it was all swollen and such. I always keep tensor bandages in my bag though, it case that ever happens again while I'm in the middle of a game or something. The tape didn't help that much and I used a whole roll of it.
Ankle: Yeah I really don't know what happened. I woke up one morning and I couldn't even move my ankle. I couldn't walk on it for a couple days and I really still don't know what happened.
Bruises: I'm always black and blue and purple and yellow. And most of the time I don't even know where I get them from. I had one that took up most of my calf, and I think it was from stabbing my leg on a cabinet shelf. I always have new injuries to report.

Thankfully I've never needed stitches!

I love talking about my injuries =)
Well, first off, when I was a kid, I dislocated my elbow three times. None of them were my fault though! I was like..two. So I don't remember it. But the first time, my dad did it accidently when he was lifting me up onto the curb from the street...he pulled my hand up to pull my body up and I started screaming. We were taking my sister to the bus stop. So he gets home and he's like "I don't know why she won't stop crying. She just started screaming and won't stop. She's being ridiculous." My mom was like "Why is she holding her arm like that?" And he's like "I don't know!" And yeah. It was dislocated. And then my mom dislocated it because I wanted to play with my baby doll carriage but it was time to eat. I didn't want to eat. She tried to take the doll carriage away, and apparently I really wanted it because then I dislocated my elbow again when I was holding on and she was pulling it away. And then my sister dislocated it when she was swinging me from the top bunk haha.
Other than that, I haven't sprained or broken any bones =) I've burnt myself with my straightener many times. And this one time, I was standing on a skateboard in my kitchen while talking to some people and I was next to the stove. And then I started to laugh at something and fell backwards against the corner of the stove. Let me tell you, not a pretty scar at all on my back lol.
This one time at a carnival, I was on a ride and my seat belt wasn't buckling and we told that to the people but they werent listening...and then the ride started and I ended up falling off and doing something to my hand. I was young. It hurt. Stupid carnivals. Now I don't trust carnivals. I don't like carnivals lol.

since then there's just been the odd cut or sore

I had four friends over at my house today tubing and we had some injury problems. My friend shoulder apparently has been hurting for like a month and tubing made it worse, she could hardly movie it later, and she is really tough and wouldn't complain though. Another friend pulled a muscle earlier at volleyball camp and tubing made it worse, she also got a headache, and one of her toenails ripped off. I couldn't drag my right ankle (the one that I sprained and just a few days ago re-sprained) in the water like I usually do because it hurt.
This wasn't today but I have had another friend break their toe tubing at my house because they were kicking at the water and suddenly she brought up their foot and one of the toes was obviously broken. She was supposed to spend the night later so she missed our (3 other people spent the night) pizza fight and when we toilet papered some houses.

I feel stupendously lucky I've never broken anything even when i got hit by a car the once, that was very scary, night after night i thought about what could have happened, but fortunately i only came away from the accident with torn ligaments in my foot and grazed legs, it was so painful at the time and i was unable to walk properly for two weeks as i needed crutches, however i was strong and i was fine but 3 years down the line I'm fully recovered of course, the shock was immense and my family were extremely upset

but it's all in the past now, since i haven't experienced anymore injuries, i'm very cautious these days...I learned my lesson were accidents are concerned anyway.

I am pretty sure I broke my little toe yesterday. I dropped my book bag (it was completely loaded with homework) on it when I was opening my bedroom door. It is all swollen and it just is kinda hanging there, it felt really funny when I put on my volleyball shoes.
My ankle is still all swollen and my doctor says I need physical therapy, yeah me!

Oh wow, I couldn't count the number of injuries I've had. I have 2 scars on my elbow from burns. One is from a waffle iron, and one from the oven. I'm not too good with hot things in the kitchen.

I also have a big scar on my right hand from when I had pioson ivy in 3rd grade. I have a really weird reaction to it, it doesn't itch, but it gets all blistery and it HURTS! Today I whacked my hand on the piano and tripped on the stone hearth. My thumb is all cut up because I was at the hardware stor yesterday and I was rubing my thumb on the sandpaper to see how rough it was. I am such an idiot, aren't I? A couple years ago, my dad built a wooden balance beam for me, and I triped and scraped my leg. It was bloody. The approx. number of injuries I get each day are 5. Last year I dropped a pencil in the locker room, picked it up, and cut my head on the locker. I hit my hand on something at least once a day. I am very accident-prone.

In a previous post I mentioned a sprained ankle I had just gotten, that was like 6 weeks ago. Well, I re-sprained it last night and this time I did it even worse, the swelling from my last injury hadn't even gone away completely and I wasn't quite 100% yet. This time it keeps tingling and spasming and it is annoying me a lot. I couldn't practice today and I missed almost the entire school day at the orthopedic and I kinda argued with the doctor when he tried to tell me I was out for the week so he says I need to take at least a couple days off so I will. I hurt it going up for a rebound at a basketball camp and I landed on their foot and sprained it coming down even through me ankle brace. I have a nice limp going currently even with it taped and wrapped.

I've had WAY too many injuries in my life.

But thinking back on some of them:
I broke my nose when I was 3. I have no idea how I did that. All I know is my parents never took me to get it fixed, so that my septum was all crooked, and actually made it so that 95% of my nose was blocked, so I couldn't breathe through my nose. Which would be why I had to have a combination septoplasty/tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy when I was 16 to correct that. OUCH!
I've sprained my ankles numerous times. One time that stands out was in, I think, 9th grade (somewhere around 7th-9th grade, I can't remember!) and we went to see the ice caves. I made it almost all the way to the very back, but then on the way back, I turned off my flashlight because I could see the sunlight coming in the entrance. Big mistake. Since I couldn't see exactly where I was going anymore, my foot caught between two rocks and I twisted my ankle kind of bad. Had to have it wrapped up for over a week.
I've also sprained my wrists a bazillion times, usually through fighting with my sister. Which has left my left wrist so weak that I had to have it in a wrist brace for almost a whole year. It's mostly all right now...though I think I'm going to have to put it in the brace again if I have to keep doing so much note-taking!
And there's what happened when I was 7. I was running under the fireman's pole at the playground when this fifth-grade boy leaped off it, and landed on me. *wince* I ended up with both knees scraped, both elbows scraped, my nose scraped, a scrape right above my lip, and a cut right above my hairline that left me practically covered in blood (since head injuries have to bleed so dang much)...and you know what he ended up with? A scraped knee.
Oh, and when I was in 8th grade, I was trying to cut a new hole in my belt with scissors. The scissors rebounded. I thought that the handle had just scratched the side of my hand a little bit, until I turned my hand over and realized there was this spot on my middle finger that was actually
indented and blood was pouring out. *cringes* I went through 3 Band-Aids in like 10 minutes. And I STILL have a scar!
Those are just the injuries I can think of off the top of my head, there are plenty more, lol.

I'm rather accident-prone, too!

Yesterday at work I injured my ankle TWICE in exactly the same place.
I work in Argos, which stocks like verything from DS games and Toys To Bubble wrap and stuff that you can get delivered, like sofas or washing machines... check it out on the net if you still have no idea what I'm on about.
Anyway, some one had returned a microwave that was broken. I picked it up to move it to the 'Damages Cage' and the box split and the corner of the microwave hit my ankle, on the front where there's abit of a gap between the bones. OW it went bruised straight away!
Then like after luch, so about 2 hours later, a big flat-pack shelving unit, that was lent against the wall, slid and the corner hit exactly the same place- its weighs 16KG!!!!
Needless to say my ankle is SSSSO bruised

Oh my goodness, this was so stupid of me, but it happened!

Ok, my friend has a trampoline and I was over at her house a couple weeks ago and we were jumping on it and having a great time. Well, we decided to set up our camera's to take pictures of us while we were in the air, so we had to set them up on various objects in the yard like trees and such. Anyway, I set up the camera this one time and there are only ten seconds before it takes the picture, so I was running over to the trampoline to jump on. I misjumped and smashed my kneecap into the medal frame of the trampoline. It hit in a spot where it made me collapse. It hurt so bad! But all I could do is laugh. I could hear my friend asking if I was alright in between laughs. The camera still took the picture and I'm not in it which means I'm on the ground. My friend is in the picture though and she's laughing uncontrollably.

That evening there was a huge blue and purple and pink bruise covering my kneecap. It hurt.

Well, now I have a story to tell.

My most recent injury happened today in biology class. I was having like a cat fight with my friend for fun and she hit me and my head fell back pretty hard onto the corner of the overhead projector. It made a very loud noise. The entire class saw it and I was bleeding all over until 5th period (I got the cut right before 1st period) and it was like throbbing. Now I have an awesome scab on my head but its covered by my hair. Its like a circle with a line coming out of it.

My most recent injury is patella tendinitis basically the tendon in my knee is overused. So I am having problems with straightening and bending my right knee. I had it about two weeks before I went to the school trainer and he diagnosed it. Now I have a band that goes directly over the overused tendon that I wear for basketball. It is a miracle worker, no more pain. Before, it got to the point where if I tried straightening my knee, my knee would shake from the pressure of straightening it even if it wasn't supporting any weight at the time. Also if I tried to support my weight with bent legs my right leg would start shaking almost give out on me.

Wow I seem to be the most commonly injured. I have been taking over this thread as of late but I have another injury to report. Last night in our jv basketball game I got a very minor concussion. I think I was fighting someone for a lose ball and somehow the back of my head ended up slamming on the floor from that. I so remember just as my head was hitting the thud of it and the croud's ohhh like when someone is slammed into the wall. I couldn't remember who was guarding me so the person who went in for me had no idea. It wasn't too bad though I went back in the game because it was so close within two minutes but I did have a little trouble remembering plays after that. This morning our trainer diagnosed it as a minor concussion and im just taking lots of advil basically. I picked a bad week for this, finals week.

My ankle permanently looks a tad swollen from how many times I've hurt it. I have really weak ankles and knees, oh well.
My two favorite injuries I've had are hurting my knee ice skating and hurting my elbow while trying to do a cartwheel. Both of them got really big, swollen and purple-ish. The elbow injury was the only fracture I've ever had that wasn't a minor one like a finger or toe.
It's kinda cool seeing all of the way other people have injured themselves. lol

I've got about 5o scars total, but I'd say most of them don't count as those are just from pain-limit training/boredom gone wrong (i.e. infected). However I do have a few that are not.
When I was still a little baby crawling around on the floor someone accidentally (I hope) put a chair on my finger and sat on the chair. My finger was squished into a fleshy mess, but somehow the surgeons managed to patch it together again. You don't really notice the scars unless you look closely.
Then when I was somewhat older I dived from a cliff and hit my head on a stone. It wasn't really that bad, just a lot of blood loss really. The scar isn't visible though, there's hair in the way, which is really a good thing.
My dog has bit me a few times, my left hand has gotten markings all over from that. And it's also got a marking from where I accidentally stabbed myself.
More recently I got the worst blister I've ever seen. It was about 5x5 cm and situated on my left heel (why do I always seem to injure my left side?). I couldn't walk properly for a week after that hike, but during the hike (which lasted about an hour and a half) I just kept going. When I got home I had to go to the ER and get it cleaned and wrapped up nicely.
I have never been bothered by injuries, but when I do my pain-limit training (needles in arms mostly) people tend to get really upset. Never quite got that.

once when I was really young, like still in a highchair young, my sister gave me a fork to eat with. Well my mom really freaked

when I tipped my highchair over and the fork went through my lip and out my chin.
I have also cracked my head open while making my bed. I'll let you all wonder about how that happened.

When I was younger, my best friend came over to watch my house being built. We got bored after about 20 seconds, so we found two spare hammers and decided to attack a tree! (Give us a break- I was 5, he was 9!) Anyways, while we were hammering our hammers into the tree, green juice started squirting from the trunk. I wanted to feel it, so I was about to set my thumb onto the tree when Whack! The next thing I remember was screaming bloody murder and seeing that my entire thumbnail was cracked down the middle! My friend felt so bad but there wasn't much he could do except go get help. After I was all bandaged up, my bud couldn' t stop saying how sorry he was. It was all good though because I had a lollipop in my mouth and enough Advil to knock out an elephant! That was a very eventful day in my five year old summer and I will never forget it!

I had sort of an injury today. I was at the bus standing next to the driver, when this old lady threw herself on me so hard that I almost pressed myself against the windshield. She tried standing up but she didn't hold on to anything so she went straight to me.
Ouch! It hurt so much. I think I have some sort of inner bruise, but I don't want to start worrying about it. What annoyed me most is that she kept talking about a bruise she got and she was looking at me as if I was to be blamed for it

and she didn't even apologise. How nice of her.

It all started with small twinges on my right side right under the rib cage. Eventually, the twinges turned in to cramps which then turned into stabbing pains. After two sonograms, the doctor found a kidney stone the size of a quarter in my right kidney. The day after Christmas 08 I was rushed to the hospital for emergency liposcopic surgery, where the doctor but a stint leading from my kidney to the bottom of my bladder. PAINFUL!!! I had to have the stint until February. He did one more surgery to make sure the stone was broken up and then removed my stint (also very painful). So far so good. I've had a lot of kidney infections since then, due to the blockage I had previously.

Let's see, when I was little like 5 or so I was playing hide and go seek in the playroom at my aunts house. I was counting while my cousins were hiding. Our designated place to count was putting our head down on a record player that had a glass lid. Can anyone see where I'm going with this? Anyways, I got to 10 said "ready or not, here I come" I moved my face to the left and the edge of the record lid sliced my chin open just under my lip.
My mom was so upset. All her years working in the hospital and this was the only time she was shaking while she tried to get the bleeding to stop. It took forever but it did stop and now I have a faint scar on my chin.
After Hurricane Andrew hit I was riding in the car with my mom and cousin when the passenger door flew open and I fell out. My mom thought she was going to run me over, but she wasn't even close. The car behind us...well...they were. Luckily I didn't get hit and I even made sure to go and get my mountain dew from the road! I ended up with two knees full of pus. No scars though!
In high school, I twisted my right ankle playing volleyball. (Not the first time, but definitely the worst). My ankle got huge! My mom forbade me to play anymore, which really made me angry. A few weeks later my right knee swelled up about 3 times the size, it was black and blue. It just happened! I got out of bed, couldn't stand and just fell to the ground. I don't know if it was an extension from the volleyball injury or what. I had water and blood in my knee, which drained itself when I used hot compresses or took a hot shower.
That's about it for regular injuries!
