Ooh cool thread! I have a couple "demons".

One would definately be school. I need to keep my grades up in order to stay in my theatre group. And keeping my grades up with a semester as hard as mine isn't exactly the easiest thing in the world.

Another is in fact snow. Snow causes bus days which means no school which means no play practice. I've missed 8 hours of practice due to snow.

i know exactly who and what my demons are... some which i feel can't be mentioned my dear cousin!

here is just a few...

Homework.. come on who like it anyways!? its the same old same old... does this, do that and get it done by so and so time. lol so really school in general!

i would not have the guts too face my demons and if the demons from my dream were right in front of me, right now...i'd back away. i would be speechless. almost frozen, i'd probably start crying.

Oh demons... When i saw the title, i thought of demons you know, from Charmed. The evil monsters that have to be vanquished. But i like it better this one!
My personal demons...hm...i voted Myself. I was between myself and others. But sometimes, it is easier to get rid off others. But you can never get rid off yourself. You can't change it easily, you have to deal with all of its drawbacks, you have to learn to love it. And this is hard. So, yeah, i am my demon.
As for the way i face it...i just deal with it and never let it go. I don't allow myself to be tormented, especially by others. I want to deal with everything. It's just my way...

-apathy. (Can't much get over it like... at ALL. lol.).
-inner,um,critisism. (thinking I suck at everything).
-self-hating (self-explanatory!! lol).

-homework (as well, but simply cause I'm in high classes, so it's mostly studying. ;;; ).

erm is every night often? there is at least one demon in each nightmare i have. most of the time there is more than one in it.

To be honest i don't remember alot of my nightmares. Only my dreams. I only a few horrible ones.

And i have grew out of thosse Demons. Some of my Demons really when i was young drove me over the edge i was really frightened. I have now grown put of thosse Demons that i can't believe i was afraid of.

I actually had a dream in last night with Daleks, but not sure if they are my demons or not but it was still pretty scary!
Apart from that, i don't usually have dreams with demons in - i've probably jinxed it now!

How often? Well that’s easy. Nightly. . .and daily when I drift away from the lessons in school. Nightmares every night for me not many dreams. . .wait, come to think about it. . .I can’t actually remember the last time a had a dream without anything horrible in it. I’ll let you know if I do.

2. What do you think is the best strategy of destroying your Demons?? Or just stopping them?
To be honest I have no idea. I suppose you just have to find the courage to stand you to them however let me share something with you. . .
If I am having a nightmare where I am being chased by a dinosaur or swimming away form a shark or a twister is following me and I really do not like the feeling of the nightmare, like if it feels to real then I (in the dream) shout:
"Lauren! Lauren! Wake up!"
It may actually take hours for me to wake but it feels to me like minutes. I can hear myself screaming in my head and a wake up suddenly. After I go back to sleep I only have nice dreams for the rest of that night. . .

I woke up screaming once, because i was so scared by something in my dream. ( actually i've done that quite a few times ) My scream actually woke me up ( and probably the rest of the house!)

walking along the path, mists surrounding me. i can not see further than five steps in front of me. i know where i am. i am nowhere.
walking along the path of no where i know where i am going. and i also know where i have been. and now in front of me i can see the darkness, the blackness. but that is all i can see.
as i walk forward the cold sweeps over me and i shiver. i am frozen right down to the bone but i keep on walking. i keep on fighting.
this is the ultimate fight. now there is no more blackness, there is only fear. no more cold, just numbness all over me as a figure takes a few steps forward stepping through the mists and getting closer.
"time to foght." i whisper.

the sun is shinning, unfortunatley.
i know what this means.

the sun is blinding me, i can barely see and the heat is unbearable. i feel dizzy. the heat is really getting to me. i pick up my bottle and try to take a sip but its empty. theres no water left, at all. my head! i can not see at all now... i'm blacking out...

when i wake i find myself lying on a beach in some horribly hot country. there is someone in the sea and they are the only one there. they seem to be getting out, i can't tell who they are but i have a thought.
the sun is shinning and i can not stand the heat so the figure can only be the nightmare.

okay i love my darker one more that was rubbish but i just wanted to express my hate for heat erm yeah...

It might seem strange but think about it.

I would prefer to see someone elses because
a) i'm a wuss
it's be less scary as it was their demon
and c) i'd understand the person more

I good question and my answer is the same as amortentia_lover's. I would too prefer to see someone elses demon then see my own for real that I really hate. My main reason for this is that I would most likely not feel fear towards another person's demon then I would feel facing my own demon but then of course it all depends on what the person's demon is because for all I know, we could share the demon. I think it is fair to say we all have fears, all have a own demons but someone out there may share all or some of a demons so in some cases seeing someone elses demon would don't be a pleasnt thing either. But then again we all should face our demons and in time we could defeat them but that would surly be terribly diffcult.

i would rather see someone else's demon as i wouldn't understand their demon therefore i would not fear it. nothing else needs to be said.

sophie - yes i fear the unkown but i feel in the case of demons i would rather be faced with another person's demons as i would not understand. yes not understanding the demon would scare me but the thing is if i was faced with my demons i would know what woyuld happen and because my demons are my demons and mine alone i know i'd be alone and i hate my demons so i'd rather not face them at all.

Well. To answer my question i err actually would want to face my own Demon.

I don't want to be a wuss and well i just think faceing someone elses Demons is the unexpected. And thats what i think is fear the unexpected. You just don't know what will happen next!


Other peoples Demons are unpredictable.

I know my own Demon well sort of. So i can fight it more than someone eles's Demon!

Draw it on paper take a picture of it on digtal camera and then plugg it into your computer and show it me!
