Researching on some books I've discovered that there are other ways to kill a basilisk. The first and the most known is the "chicken male's" singing" . The other way is the WHEASEL... believe or not readers but This is my palpitate... Voldemort will be killed by someone from Hufflepuff...
And I have some basement to say that:
(extracted from the book THE AGE OF FABLE)
"There are an old dictation second which "everything has your enemy" and the basilisk always get intimidated in front of the weasel. For more frightening that was the serpent aspect, the weasel did not worry and entered the fight audaciously. When bite, it left for some time to ingest Arruda, who was the only plant that the basilisk did not do wither, and it came back to attack with redoubled vigor and courage, not letting the enemy while not the extended dead in the ground."
(Page 365).
Once Voldemort is a direct descendant of Slytherin (whose symbol is the snake) nothing more sure that he be killed for someone descendant of Hufflepuff or of its house (whose symbol is the weasel).

Hmmm... That is a good theory but I don't know if this will apply to the book. This would mean one of two things, Harry is a desindent of Hufflepuff, or Harry is not the chosen one. Since the Sorting Hat didn't even consider Harry for Hufflepuff, ,I don't think that Harry is a desindent of Hufflepuff. Although it would be ironic if someone from Hufflepuff did defeat Voldemort.

I thaught hufflepuffs symbol was a badger... As for weasel - it could mean that a weasley could destroy him (i dont think voldemort will die harrys too much of a coward.) but i think it will actually be harry who destroys his powers.

Oops, your right, don't know what I was thinking, if at all. But, I agree, I don't think Ron will be the one to win the war.

Yeah that would be good plus Ron has always been wanting that attention. He would be famous then. Even then, wouldn't you think that if it was a weasel that can kill a basalisk, my idea would be that weasel and weasley is just a coincidence. Weasels and badgers are very alike anyway.

I doubt that Weasley will win the war but you never know. Highly unlikely though. Maybe the weasel and the Weasley's is a coincidence, or maybe it will soon begin to show it's significance.

I have seen recently a documentary about this animal, and I was so surprised when the weasel could win the snake that I wasn't able to notice about the relation it has with the harry potter books.
I think this is only a coincidence, though I don't say that this option cannot be certain, because Rowling sometimes makes relations with mythology or history in her books.
I expect that Ron Weasley is going to help Harry to kill Voldemort, because he's one of the most important characters of the saga, but he won't be the only one who fight with the Dark Lord,Harry is destined to make this work.

The sign of Hufflepuff is a badger. This means that it does not have to be a Hufflepuff to kill Him. Maybe Ron will pack up the courage to kill Voldemort. Or better yet, Ginny will kill Voldemort. Maybe Voldemort kills Harry and Ginny is with Harry at the time it happened. She was just under the cloak so Voldemort did not see her. Ginny was still in love with Harry so she took out revenge with Voldemort when he was least expecting it. Or something along the lines. (Go girl power!)

The Badger is the sign of hufflepuff not the Weasel.
still a theory,
but voldemort only used a Basalisk once, and I doubt he will again, due to the time and also thae mortality of it.
