Yeah, they are soooooooooooo perfect for eachother, if they dont go out, well.............then.....................it's just insane wub.gif

It will be nice. Those who say that Luna is to spacey, i think there is more to her then that, I think she needs more friends and maybe she will return to normal or something if she does get into a relationship. I dunno..........

Harry and Luna can happen. No one can predict the outcome of the coming war except Jo Rowling. Ginny and Hermione and Cho may lose their lives against the evil power. Harry may be left alone. His task may be over, Voldemort and his evil subjects have been eliminated forever. The wizard world is in peace. However, Harry cannot just sit down idly. He wants adventures. Luna is the one with full of unexpected adventures. Together they may search the unknowns. Things that are unseen by others. Meanwhile they will find solace from each other, whenever the pain of the loss of the loved ones comes back. sad.gif

Well... I don´t really know..
everything is possible...
harry understand luna so good, and luna understand harry better than ron and hermione actully...

I guess if we stretched Jo's dogma about everybody fell in love with the wrong person before the right one. Luna' crush to Ron should be a good lead, that the next boy will be her true one. Once Luna gets over Ron, she can be with someone who appreciates her weirdness without being cynical. At this moment, the only boy doing that is Harry Potter.

Oh, I think that Harry and Luna definetly have a chance. I mean, I don't get it when two main charecters get together, but Luna isn't a main spot charecter - she isn't even a character until the 5th book! I think that they will get together.

I'm not usually in the habit of posting online, but I just re-read the last three books and had a few notions that needed to be aired, particularly about Luna, whom I believe is the most interesting new character in the series.

Someone on another site asked the question, why did Rowling wait so long to introduce her? After all, if she's intended to be such an important character, why wait until 5/7 of the way through the series to bring her in? The answer is simple - because Harry wouldn't have noticed her until then. Until then, he's always gone to school in the same car as all his "mates" (yes, I include Hermione in that category). In his fifth year, he's placed in an awkward situation of forced separation from his comfort zone. As a result, he gets to know some old characters better and meets a new person at the same time.

I think Luna will figure very heavily in the remaining two books, and is very likely to become a serious love-interest for him. Harry is maturing very quickly as a result of his exploits, and is going to need someone like her to keep him centered, calm and sane. I shall explain in three points:

Point 1 - She's the first person he's met who isn't either afraid (Ginny), intimidated (Neville), impressed (Ron), or threatened (Malfoy) by him at first sight. She greets him by saying "you're Harry Potter", as though stating a fact. Luna treats him as a person and not an idol or celebrity. Harry needs this in his life. He's got entirely too many people fawning over him, propping him up, trying to bring him down, or just plain making his life miserable.

Point 2 - Luna is an outcast, like him. Neither of them fits in anyhere; the difference between the two is that Luna either doesn't care or isn't aware of her difference. Harry needs to know that it's ok to be different, and Luna can teach him this simply by being herself. She is an individual, utterly without pretense or shame, and that's refreshing.

Point 3 - She is able to give him the one thing he needs most at the end of OOP - comfort. Her simple, unquestioning acceptance and belief in the afterlife provides Harry an introduction to the kind of faith he'll need to survive and prevail in the war to come. Also, she believes in HIM, a factor that's always essential in any relationship. Throughout OOP she's the one person who never judges him harshly or questions his veracity or sanity.

And if you think there isn't enough time left in school for Harry and Luna to hit it off, consider that the Harry/Cho thing ran its course over about 2 and a half books - it began in his third year as a crush, continued in 4th year, and went from first date to breakup in the fifth year. He's got plenty of time left, and Rowling is a good enough writer to pull it off. Besides, he needs her.

I think it'll take more time, and we may not see any serious 'action' until Book 7, but it'll happen. It's inevitable.

Anyway, enough editorializing. Bottom Line - Harry/Luna. It's gonna happen.

Sorry! I'm not a shipper of anyone so I guess I'll avoid the shipping threads from now on...

Deleted this post and moved it to the suggested thread. Hope that's okay?

Westerly, all ships threads, unless clearly stated otherwise are for supporters only. Please check the Ships rules here.

I can see that you're someone who fancies a little bit of a debate. I'd therefore recommend you to head on over to this thread here then. It's a Harry/Ginny vs Harry/Other girl debate thread...the post you've just submitted would be more appropriate there.
Baboon's_Backside
Yes, there is is a very interesting thread going on over there. Check it out!

MOD EDIT : Please do not post if you've nothing to say that is related to the topic. Thanks.

I'm a big H/L shipper. I'd rather see Harry alone than with anyone else.

Luna is very accepting and understanding, and I think Harry needs someone like that in his life. Even if he doesn't form a romantic relationship with her, I think that they're going to become good friends.

Well, while I'm definitely a H/L supporter, I wouldn't go that far. I've already given my reasons for desiring a Harry/Luna pairing, so no need to go into that again. My ideal 'ships, in order, would be Harry/Luna, Harry/Ginny, and Harry/Hermione. Oddly enough, if I were to rank them in order of when we're likely to see them in the series, all you need to do is reverse them.

Spoiler ahead of you didn't read OtP (is that possible? =))

Oh guys, I'm horrible but I'm too lazy to read the tenth pages posted before I got there... Nevertheless, I'd like to state my opinion as the Harry/Luna ship is, to me, one of the most obvious couple. Then again, maybe I'm wrong.

A lot of people say that Luna is weird, and for that matter, they push her aside. Luna is not weird, she's different. As Harry is different too. Why do I see them happen? Only because I think Luna is the only one that can -truely- understand harry.

Who else could Harry be with?
Cho? Nah, I think Cho was only a crush, here to introduce Harry's beginning of a love life. Cho can't be a serious option, I think OtP proved it, but then again, I may be wrong. But I really don't believe in this.
Hermione? They could be. I would think it is a serious reference but to me Hermione belongs to Ron and then again, I think JK proved it enough herself.
Ginny? I don't simply see them together. Ginny grew up, and in the process became unfitted for Harry.
Harry needs someone to understand him. We saw in GoF and OtP that Harry's credibility was hurt too many times. A lot of people do doubt him afterall. (in case I made a mistake : GoF and OtP , via the Daily Prophet articles tried to put down Harry so much, deguising him as an imposter). Then, look at Luna's presence in OtP :
We first meet her on the Hogwarts Express. During the whole summer, the Daily Prophet has been spreading aweful rumors about Harry. But Luna comes, her dad runs the Quibbler, another newpapers, therefore rival to the DP (Daly Prophet), Symbol? She believes Harry. Luna is so opened minded, she would "give a chance to anyone".
But the most important moment, to me, is after Sirius' death. Luna is still a minor character by then but she is the only one to understand Harry and to manage to confort him, even if only just a bit. I think this is VERY important. Maybe I'm a hell of wrong but I do believe those two belong together...

Well, we'll see eventually, right? =)
S_Boardman
There's another reason Harry is likely to end up with Luna, one that hasn't been mentioned yet.

Harry has a habit of befriending, or at least showing courtesy to, social outcasts. Having grown up being treated like a freak who doesn't deserve to live, having had no friends all his life, Harry is particularly sensitive to the needs of people like him.

This has resounding effects on everyone involved, and, of course, the plot of the story.

His kindness (or at least, lack of rudeness) toward Neville causes the latter to work and practice in Harry's DADA lessons, and he becomes a better wizard as a result. Neville goes from a rather pathetic magician at best to having the ability and the courage to fight fairly well at Battle of the MoM.

Harry's politeness toward Moaning Myrtle in CoS leads to her giving him assistance during the second challenge of the Triwizard Tournament (GoF). And, of course, she offers to share her toilet if he dies (CoS). Harry, characteristcally, thanks her and goes on his way.

Harry is even polite to Colin Greevy, one of the more annoying characters he meets.

Of course, none of these offer any chance of a romantic encounter. A Harry/Neville hookup is not happening - neither has shown any inclination in "that" direction. Harry isn't going to die anytime soon, so Myrtle is right out, and Colin is unlikely for the same reasons as Neville.

That brings us to Luna, the first social outcast Harry meets that has real romantic potential. Of course, he has to get past his own teenage hangups about her appearance and mannerisms, but by the end of OoP I think he's beginning to reach the stage of maturity that he'll need to do it.

Someone (I don't remember who) on another forum said that Jo's description of Luna isn't of what you'd call a beautiful woman. That's true. Luna's appearance is certainly unusual - wide, staring eyes, unkempt hair, and jewelry made from items not normally used for such purposes. This isn't a girl that most guys would consider for a prom date. But neither is she described as wholly unattractive. This is a girl that grows on you. Throughout OoP, Harry and Luna keep bumping into each other at odd but convenient moments. She's not seeking him out, she just happens to be where and when she's needed.

As Harry spends more time with her (and I believe he will), he'll come to realize that she's always been a beautiful girl, he just didn't notice it before.

I've thought that they would end up together ever since Luna came into the books. There alot a like, but different in some ways to, so I think they make a good couple.
flitwick_rocks
In the 5th book we all know that Harry and Luna made a "conection". This consisted of Harry actually having strong fellings of sorryness for Luna when her stuff was stolen. We also all probally agree that they have many things in common such as the thresals, being left out, and they share many anti-ministry fellings. Of course, this IS just like J.K. to mislead us like this. Luna is very unsignificant chartcher in the story, but J.K. talks about her a lot still. This will probally come to a conclusion that Luna will play a very imporant part in the books to come but I'm sure that we all agree that this will just be as a friend to Harry. Considering all the positive fellings she has for ron, and all the negitive fellings Harry had for her.

Well, I know that this post was edited, but...

I don't know about you, but frankly I'm getting pretty tired of people saying things like "This is just like Jo to mislead us..." I don't think (or at least I hope) that misleading us is Jo's general goal when it comes to things like this. I also don't think that Luna is a, as flitwick_rocks said, an unsignificant character. In fact, I think that Luna is as close to Harry as Ron, Hermione, Ginny and Neville are. All six of them went to the DoM. They all share the same experiences (with the acception of Harry, of course) from that night. I am glad to hear, Flitwick_rocks, that you think that she will eventually become an asset in Harry's life, however, I think that this has already happened by the end of OotP.
Oh, and we dont know for sure whether or not she has positive feelings for Ron... though my guess is she does. "Positive" feelings as in... she enjoys his company... not as in lovey-dovey feelings. And I don't think that Harry had any negative feelings towards her, at least by the end of OotP. In fact, he felt better after talking to her about Sirius.... I think that Luna is really a great person inside. Unfortunately, some people underestimate her and belittle her for her personality. I guess that some people detect some sort of dotty aura from her.
But that's a little off topic, so. rolleyes.gif

P.S. Got my braces off a week ago. Five woots for me!

I like Luna it´s my favourite character of the fifth book, she´s like me hehehe !!

Oh, i think harry and Luna should be together. biggrin.gif They think kind of in the sane way. So... i think Harry and Luna should hook up in the 6th book. biggrin.gif

I actually really like this ship. Luna is understanding, misunderstood, and kind, just like Harry. They have a lot in common, and would be able to talk to each other! wub.gif

dry.gif Luna and Harry....hummm.... well i say no because Harry liked Cho Chang in the 5th book and Cho and Luna are totally two different people if you ask me. Also I think that Harry thinks that Luna is a little weird...i do...but she does bring humor to the series. But its possible that they could get together....its all up to JK Rowling. dry.gif

I definitely think it could work even though there are more hints that Luna likes Ron but Ron doesn't like Luna and I support Ron and Hermione but Luna and Harry are alike in some ways and he opened up to her.
hippogriffrider21
when i first started book 5, i already knew that someone was going to die, and i honestly thought that it was luna (then i recieved the unfortunate shcok at the end which made my cry) but i'm really glad she didn't, because she's so cool! and in the 6th book, harry thinks that it was worth bringing her to Slugworth's party because she made him laugh. he needs someone to make him laugh!! although i suppose ginny did make him laugh somethimes... but forget her, harry and luna all the way!!
Allie
HBP spoilers up ahead.... proceed at your peril....

I'm really liking the Harry/Luna ship at the moment, I have to say. Is it just me, or in the scene at Slughorn's party, did Luna seem a little bit more 'normal,' so to speak, than throughout OotP? tongue.gif Not that it really matters of course... what I really like about Luna is that she is brutally honest (an 'uncomfortable' honesty that is referenced a lot throughout HBP), and I really think that Harry needs that quality in a potential girlfriend. The trouble is, he seems to be surrounded by 'scarlet women,' or slightly abusive girls, at any rate. We find out at the end of HBP that Ginny basically went out with Michael and Dean because she thought her 'real' personality might attract Harry's attention, and so far Hermione has asked out both Krum and McLaggen in hopes of making Ron jealous. Luna seems a bit more willing to do things with Harry as 'friends' -- there's no romantic tension coming into play in their relationship. Now I'm no expert in dating or anything, but as I see it, this platonic friendship could be a strong foundation for a future romance. People always overlook Luna's role in Harry's life because she is so 'quirky,' but I think she can actually be a fairly comforting friend when she is called upon -- we see her looking after Hermione after one of her little tiffs with Ron, we see her helping an injured Neville at Dumbledore's funeral, and we know that she is one of only two members of the D.A. who responded to Harry's summons at the end of HBP, demonstrating her loyalty, anoter quality that Harry greatly values. Granted, my support for this ship might be very closely related to my great liking of Luna as a character, but I do seriously think that this is a relationship in the making. Ginny was ultimately a bit too strong-willed for Harry, in my opinion... he needs someone who will settle down and do a little less kissing, a little more talking.
Baboon's_Backside
I really do agree with you, Anthony. Ginny is a bit too much for Harry. I think that Ginny is a serial dater, and Harry really needs someone that he can talk to about his "feelings." Did you guys notice how much less annoying Harry seemed in HBP? I believe that was because he talked to Ron and Hermione about more things, like what he saw in the pensieve with Dumbledore. But now Harry doesn't want to go back to Hogwarts. Yes, the school might close down, but if it doesn't, I really doubt whether Mrs. or Mr. Weasley would let Ginny leave early. I mean, if Harry left, there wont be much of a threat of Voldemort walking into Hogwarts, is there? Why should he (or his Death Eaters) if Harry is gone? So if Ginny stays at Howarts, Harry wont be spending much time with her. But the problem is Harry needs love. Love to defeat Voldemort. If he doesn't spend a lot of time with Ginny, I wonder whether Harry will continue to be interested in Ginny anymore. But now what about Luna. In the last chapter, she is seen with Neville. "With a great rush of afection for both of them, Harry saw Neville being helped into a seat by Luna." This would make it seem as though they really care for each other and might even be somewhat of a couple. I'm not so sure about this because Luna has always seemed affectionate to anyone when it comes to helping them out. Luna seems to me to be a nurturer. She is motherly in a way.

Anyway, I know that Harry and Ginny really hit it off in HBP. But I don't think that it will last. Jo never really said that Harry's relationship would be everlasting, did she?
Dominique
Harry and Luna... possible?

It certainly is, I for one would be quite happy if it did ever happen. When my prefered ship H/Hr was closed, I searched and searched for another possible anwser to Harry's romantic life. I looked over the many options, and the many possible people. I still couldn't figure out who would be better for Harry then Hermione! But no, i had to find a solution. And then, I can across this thread. I stoped, I viewed and I read. And I decided, this could actually work out.

I don't have my whole heart and soul into my choice, but Luna is a really awsome character! I love her little remarks, jokes and comments. She is not afraid to speak her mind, she is brave. She even looks like me, which is an added bonus for myself wink.gif If Harry does not end up with my first choice, I certainly hope he will end up with the rocking Luna biggrin.gif
idk
harry and luna will never happen because harry doesnt like her in that way harry likes ginny to much to ever be with luna thats what i think

I'd just like to remind you, idk, that ALL of the ships threads are for SUPPORTERS ONLY. I like the Harry/Luna ship, I don't want to see us getting bashed in our own thread, and I'm really not gonna be a happy camper if I see it happening twice, so please review the ships forum rules before you post around here again. If you would like to debate about Harry's future love life, check out the H/G vs. H/Other Girl Debate Thread, where H/G vs. H/L is the main argument at the moment. But please, please, please, if you don't want to debate, stick to the threads for supporters of your own ships. Thanks. smile.gif

I can easily understand this ship. It's definitely possible, though I was a little disheartened that Luna only popped in a few times during HBP. Oh well, perhaps JKR is backing off of her for now for plot purposes... She'll be back, (along with Neville, hopefully! I missed that boy).

I was surprised how much I liked her after reading OotP. She just kinda naturally jumped ahead of the other secondary characters and stole the show.

Luna_Lovegood120507
ph34r.gif huh.gif Okay I think There is a good chance they might end up together...Harry/Luna Relate to each other She can see thestrals because her mum died and harry can see them too because of cedric and now Sirius.

A Few things catch my eye in book 5 and 6 In book 5 Ginny Nevile and Luna all wanted to come to the ministry to help.....now for Luna was that to be publisized or did she really want to help? I think she wanted to help maybe she wanted to become a better friend to Harry Okay my 2nd theory When Harry Was trying to tell Ron about the Thestrals in the beging when he was about to get into the carrage Ron wasn't getting it and thought Harry was going Bonkers Well Luna says she can see them too relating to how they both can see thestrals that makes their friendship better...Harry Wonders after Luna says she can see them too if she is joking and over-heard harry but He thought that Luna Believes in outragous things so she might be telling the truth and Is. At the end of Book 5 Harry sees Luna posting a buliton for her possesions. They talk Harry Wants to help but she truns him down. Now JKR says he felt a pitty for her.

When Luna Mensions sirius' name Harry Doesn't fell bad but feels he can talk about it with her After their little chat JKR explains how Harrys Chest felt a lot lighter than before. So he felt confortable around Luna She Believes in all these outragous things and the relate. Then in book 6 She says(Luna) THat she liked the DA becuase she said it felt like she actually had friends well there again Harry Feels Pitty for her.
that's the end of my positive now my not so sure theory When Harry Asks Luna to go to Slughorns party with him she looks puzzled then Harry Noticing her face changes his words and says "Just as friends of course" So she changes her look and agrees just as friends...You can take this 2 ways.Maybe she doesn't like Harry and was puzzled cause she didn't think he liked her"that" way or maybe she likes him and was puzzled that he was showing a different liking not just"friends" or maybe She always thought Harry Wasn';t "that" type of person... From reading the books and currently reading HP6 for the 2nd time I have made these theories might be true or JK could be leading us in the wrong dirrection maybe harrys heart really lies with Ginny or Alone. He has been troubled for so long maybe this story won't end Happily ever after.......

Hm...have I replied? I dont think so...

Anyway, as a partial HarryxLuna shipper (though I have to say it dominates my opinions about H/G by a lot), I think this couple is strangely cute. I was just like: What if Harry and Luna got together? That would be so cute! Its also very possible, seeing that both have loved ones that have died, and they all know what it's like to be a little lonely.
Devine_Lily
I really hope Harry ends up with either Hermione or Luna. I can't see him with Ginny, or any other girl at Hogwarts. Hermione and Luna both just seem like his equal. I also agree that Luna would be able to talk to Harry about Sirius' death, and his parents' death, because Luna has lost someone unlike Hermione.

But, I just cross my fingers that they end up together.

I would rather see Harry with either Hermione or Luna because the author has a chance to show young adults what a real soul-opening relationship can look like. Luna could be the one to shake the remainder Harry's desire to be normal out of him and encourage him to think outside of the box.

i dont thin harry and luna will be suited for each other because lune is so weird and so funny and harry is so serious rolleyes.gif

I believe they're gonna be together cuz if you guys haven't notice, Luna is probably what Harry needs to defeat LV. Luna's last name is Lovegood and she does show that! Throughout the last 2 bks, I never read any part where she was being mean, angry, nor jealous. She's always was kind and patient to others, even if they were mean to her. Luna is a good example of showing love and stuff and Harry needs to notice that in the 7th book definitely.

I don't care what others say cuz they are gonna be together. Luna is also going to be a very important person. I mean, she's not there for no reason so that's gotta be her reason. Harry needs LOVE to defeat LV.
Midnight
I think Harry really likes Luna, and simply doesn't know it yet. He does find her odd. But she gives him comfort in a way that others can't. Even though Luna does have some extraordinarily odd beliefs. They mustn't bother Harry that much. He actually even found it amusing listen to what she said at Slughorn's Christmas party.

Also, Luna likes Harry for who he is. Not his fame! Her interest in him isn't on superficial level. Nor is Harry's interest in her. Plus, I don't think Luna will ever doubt him. The rest of the wizarding world always seems to be against Harry. But Luna will trust him without him having to prove it. Even his closest friends aren't always willing to believe him no matter how obvious the truth is.
HoofsTails Gal
I originally believed that Harry and Luna would be the perfect match after OOtP. But now I'm glad that J.K. Rowling didn't do that ship. I though that Luna and Harry shared a special bond and I really wanted their personal relationship to blossom into something romantic where they both could share the same passions and speak to eachother.

After the touching scene in OOtP where Harry and Luna talk about losing someone they love I wanted J.K. Rowling to delve deeper into that. Instead she avoided it in book six. Maybe book seven will hold some type of conversation between those two... though I now hope it won't be romantic.

ithink it would be a harry/ginny or harry/ luna coz the possblty of cho is impossible if she suddenly change.................... herm s for ron i think so coz if she happens to end up with harry their friendship will be gone and a woman like that is of no worth.................... parvati i dont think so........harry/ginny is like james/ lily thng ginny truly loves harry .......luna is the only person harry can talk to seriously and emotonally and they are the same...............
*hermione*
personally, i'm a harry/ginny shipper, but i've always thought that if harry and ginny didn't work out, harry should be with luna. they do understand each other, and harry did ask her to slughorn's party in HBP, even though it was just as friends...

i think they would be good, but harry/ginny is better.

harry/luna is agood pair luna can understand harry on a more emotional preference besides cho is a out coz she is a [MOD EDITED] and j.k.r. said it wont be her (but at first i taught it would be her.............. ginny is out coz harry thinks she's his sister.............. hermione is for ron so i therefore conclude a harry/luna thing but it still depends on jkr if harry will have a girl or alone but the worst to think is that he will die nononononono................... wink.gif

Hi!! I think Harry and Luna are a good matchup because they really can relate to each other and Harry desreves someone who understands him. and he really felt sorry for her at the end of book 5 and asked her to the party, so that means he wants her to be happy too!! she's really the only person I wouldnt be mad about if she ended up with Harry so ... yeah!! that's it! bye all

ROFL -- you know, that's my line of reasoning, too! laugh.gif I've always thought it would be Harry and Luna, though pre-HBP I didn't think I would mind Ginny so much. Post-HBP, I feel like Ginny's way too high-strung and flirtatious for Harry, and wouldn't have the stabilizing influence on his life that he needs as he works to find and kill Voldemort. As for Hermione, again, I think she may be a little too intense to support Harry properly -- she always seems so nervous about things, and I don't know whether she's reckless enough to be the person who will help Harry through these difficult times -- and Cho... well, that one's pretty obvious! tongue.gif

Not only do I actively dislike Harry's other "girlfriend candidates" based on Book Six, but I happen to like Luna's character a lot, and she's really the only girl who I "approve" of for the protagonist. She represents so many positive ideals -- individuality, self-respect, courage of conviction -- that I certainly think Harry respects even if he does not feel romantically attracted to her at the moment. Many long and happy relationships are founded on simple friendship, so despite the fact that Harry does not spend the bulk of HBP talking about how his "monster is growling" for Luna... there's definite hope for their future together. smile.gif

Do I believe Harry is going to fall for Luna in Book Seven? Absolutely not. I'm not stupid, and most fans who aren't either totally dense or particularly militant in their shipping recognize that between the ending of her book and her subsequent interviews JKR has already practically spelled out the romances in Book Seven. It's Harry/Ginny and Ron/Hermione, but hey, we can save Luna for fanfic. cool.gif She's probably my favorite HP character, and she and Harry deserve each other.

Side note... if you don't like Harry/Luna, get out of our thread. Yes, that means you, bio yogurt and dementors_kizz. dry.gif

I have to disagree with you. It seems as though JKR makes her twists bigger with each book. So myself, I don't see anything as being spelled out yet.

I think were being sidetracked in many different regards to the books. So as far as Harry's love life goes. That's just one more possibility.

I think a lot people are just reasoning that there won't be a chance ofr Harry and Luna to hook up they Harry won't go back to Hogwarts. I think he'll go, but he won't be there the whole year like he has been before.

I think Harry and Luna are destined to have some very important interaction, although not necessarily romantic. Luna knows lots of odd things, and I think she's therefore likely to help Harry learn about others can't.

I most definitely believe she'll have some kind of role in helping Harry unravel the mystery of the Veil. I actually wouldn't be surprised if she knew of some odd clue to helping Harry discover one of the unknown Horcruxes, and that could potentially be some kind of Ravenclaw artifact. So they still have some possible opportunities they could greatly strengthen the bond between them.

In my opinion Luna definitely admires Ron.It is clear in the books. As for Harry he is deeply in love with Ginny. So that is impossible. But who knows what happens next?

The more I hear about this ship, the more I like it.

I would rather see Harry with Luna than in other relationships because she SEES him. In the most minimal of communication, I think Luna saw a side of him in OOTP that probably close on none of the other friends had seen before.

I know it's probably not going to happen. But I do love their interaction and I think Harry accepts her 'oddness' just beautifully.

Even tough some people says no, it's very possible...

They fit into each other. They are veyr similar in some fields that would be weird that they don't be together (couple or not)...

Luna has a huge imagination and she's very humble...

Tough she's sometime eccentric in her outfits, she knows when to be good-suited, as in Professor Slughorn's party, when she goes with Harry...

Also, even when she believes "inusual" things (for not to call them impossibles or weirds), she's still standed on the same ground as Harry is...

We can mention they can see the Thestrals too. They're very similar indeed...

I think that Harry should be with Luna, even more than he should be with Ginny. And my best friend, "Laura Potter" (as she calls herself), thinks it too. They're a good couple...

But also Neville / Luna seems possible...

What will be JKR preparing us in next book?...

Ever~

I don't think this is a very likely ship because really in all honesty Harry just pittys Luna. He likes her as a friend I guess but when he asked her to Slughorn's party he seemed very keen to make it clear they were going as friends. Besides Luna unnerves Harry and he can't very well go out with someone who makes him uncomfortable.
