No, Lily and James got together in there 7th year. And yes both Mr. and Mrs. Weasley were in Gyffindor. But I seen what you mean. I think that with the coming War people will either get closer or farther apart. So among the six of them, someone's bond to pair up soon. I'm hoping for not just Harry and Ginny, but Ron and Hermione, who I think will pair up at the end of the 6th book.

this is very possible. i mean if ron and hermione get together who else would there be for harry(i mean whengo!r/hr!)or maybe luna even though she's weird or maybe someone new though it seems kinda late in the series to introduce harry's solemate.

True, it would be kinda werid to introduct someone new and have him fall in love so fast. I think at this ponit of the story the characters are ready for love. I think it's eitherr going to be Luna or Ginny who ends up with him, but I'm obvilously hoping for Ginny/Harrry.

you guys are right, but i think they're probably be some new girls that will come out in the 6th or 7th books... it would be so much better if he just fell in love with someone he knew already like ginny... but there's always that possibility that JKR might introduce a new character and there could be "love at first sight", many people get married with people they haven't known for a long time.. i just think that ginny seems to understand harry and it's not more than a school girl crush... the only person i could think of is luna but she's more of a friend than a girlfriend

since ginny and harry are both leos, it might cause conflict since they're both leaders, but still might work out in the end! that's really cool.... i hope ginny and harry get together at the end... they're not my favorite ship (ron/hermione are) but they work well together and i support them all the way

Thank you Dana. I'm reading OoP agian, and Ginny has given Harry hope when he's been at his worst, Hermione and Ron was unable to reach him during Christmas when he thought he was the "weapon." Ginny called him out on his feelings, he was acting all misunderstod, and it ended up making him happy instead of a fight.

My opinion is JKR is someone who 'doesn't like something perfect for Harry'. I know, each of us know that Ron/Hermione ship is nearly 100% true. But, from my experience read Harry Potter book, JK never makes Harry's life perfect. Sirius is dead, he must be the killer or the victim, and something like that is the examples. And i think his love story isn't perfect too. Imagine, if Ron/Hermione become a couple, of course they will live together happily. Imagine again, Harry with Ginny. They live happily ever after too. Ron/Hermione and Harry/Ginny are too perfect condition for Harry. And i'm sure JKR won't like that. My thought is JKR will makes someone new for Harry. BUT not a new character. Old character that Harry didn't realize before. I prefer Ginny/Neville than Harry/Ginny. It's too perfect for Harry, if she end up with Ginny. I'm sorry...i don't agree

Well, I it might be the happy ending I'm hoping for, sigh. But I think at this point Luna and Ginny have equal chance of getting with Harry. I think people need to be a tad more open, I'm slowly getting there.

Well i think harry and ginny could work out because in book 5 ginny is the only other person who understands what harry is going through with Voldermort in his head. So maybe they get closer.

i think that alot of people think very highly of harry/ginny as they do ron/hermione or harry/hermione...harry/ginny is usually someone's second ship... but i think it works quite well with R/Hr...

and there's plenty of evidence to support it... during christmas break in OotP... ginny was the one that convinced harry that he wasn't posessed by voldemort because she went through the experience and she was the one who was able to let him talk to sirius... i think that it wasn't a coincidence that ginny was able to go with harry,ron, and hermione to the ministry of magic... it probably means ginny will be a more important character, than in the other books... how about harry's girlfriend? neville and luna will probably be important characters as well

I never thought that Neville liked Ginny as anything beyond a dear friend. I too support Harry and Ginny, have for a very long time, and I look forward to watching their friendship bloom and hopefully become a real romance.

I think that there is a chance that Neville likes Ginny, but I don't think Ginny will return the feelings, she seemed kinda sad being with him at the Yule Ball. As Harry ending up with Luna...notice how he goes for the Ravenclaw girls, but, it seems to unlikely. I'm still Harry/Ginny. And a surpising number of fans are too.

Yeah, I'll be so very happy if they get closer as friends. But Harry my be lonely, and look to someone who's in the group but not quite to talk to about his pain.

IMO, I can't see Harry truly devoting himself to a relationship right now. He has just recieved the news that either he will have to murder Voldemort or that he will die at the hands of Voldemort. That in itself is alot to take in. Then there's the fact that he has lost yet another parent to the likes of Voldemort and his kind. He is well aware of the emotions that are involved in losing someone and I cannot see him subjecting someone else to this possible pain.

However, I can see him developing a tighter friendship with both Ginny and Luna. Ginny because she knows what it is like to be controlled by Voldemort and Harry was certainly the victim of Voldemort's manipulation in the last book. Luna because she has lost a parent and can understand what Harry is going through. These are both sistuations that Ron and Hermione can not understand and will be at a lost to truly help Harry (though being the best friends that they are, they will definately try). He will need someone that can understand him on a first hand account.

Could this friendship that he develops with Ginny lead to something more in the future? I will not totally leave that possibility in the cold. Afterall, the best relationship come out of friendships. Besides, there is an old saying that boys tend to look for woman that are like their mothers. ginny certainly resembles his mum and in OotP she displayed some qualities that I'm sure Lily had herself. However, at this point and time I cannot see Harry in a true relationship with anyone. I see him more devoted to his training(real training now)to complete his destiny.

That is true...i dont know if he would want to put anyone else he cares for at risk but i still do place hope in a h/g relationship. Hopefully, JK is thinking along the same lines....as long as theyre together by book 7, im satisfied!

Well as i said on the R/Herm shipping board. Im not into shipping that much but i think it will happen so i guess im going to have to put up with it . After that image with Harry heart --- its made me think this could happen. But after herm siad to harry she was over him, Its made me so unsure. Hmmm something to think about for sure

Supporter of Harry/Ginny so basically i hope they end up together. (But i also support Harry/Luna). Anyway, some people are saying that Ginny is over Harry, but she's not. She had only given up on him, not over him. Anyway, just because Harry hadn't shown any 'affections' for Ginny, that doesn't mean that nothing will really happen to the both of them.

Not only will they be together, but the duet will be extremely crucial to beat Voldemort, based on their previous near-death experiences with him.
If Jo thinks that the feelings of a 17-year old boy and a 16-year old girl are not mature enough to warrant "live happily ever after", she will surely put an epilogue when they will get married and so fort. Cheers for Harry and Ginny Potter.
