I just realized, I didn't put my review! Duh wacko.gif

Anyway, I won't comment too much but the funniest thing to me in the entire artlcle was this quote from Helena Bonham Carter, who plays Bellatrix in OOTP, speaking of her costume being"entirely black but she's counting on her pushed-up bustline to elp her stand out."-Steve Daly

"It's not a huge part," she says, her elocution remarkably clear despite a mouth full of fake teeth. "So I thought I could have lots of breas, if not lots of lines."

You guys are reading, what do you think???
Annabelle Peyton
Hmmm informative article. I'm a bit bummed that there will be no singing of "Weasley is our King" and the fact that Neville's parents won't be mentioned. It will be interesting to see how they compressed the plot of OOTP into less than two and a half hours.

That's a funny, yet informative article. nerd.gif But I agree with annabelle peyton that it is a shame that they are not going to have the "Weasley Is Our King" song. And the showing of Neville's parents in the Hospital. But I think that they should, so that the people who don't read the books know what happened to Neville's parents.

You know, in the article Dan was quoted as saying we, the fans, were going to be happy with the edits and cuts to the movie OOTP. I am not sure I agree with that. I mean, I know the book is massive and stuffed of information but I think some of the scenes that the movie people cut are important to the flavor of the book. I expected the Dobby thing. They haven't done any of the house elves justice since CoS.
The Quidditch, the St. Mungo's with Neville's Parents, Molly's boggart. I suppose I wouldn't be happy either way because I just love the detail that JKR puts into her writing.

I agree, Neville's girl. The scene at St. Mungo's was the part of OOTP that I found the most intriguing, as it offered us a graphic glimpse into what Neville's life has been like. And I did adore the bit with poor old Lockheart! There is So Much Detail in OOTP that I know I'll be disappointed, yet, I hope that my personal history with the movies hold true: I go into them with a great deal of trepidation, but am entranced by what the movie makers are able to include. As I mentioned in another post, I'd gladly watch a 5-hour HP movie!
I've lost track now, but is Dan up-to-date on his reading? Seems to me he was a bit behind in the last thing I read. I hope he's done with OOTP since he made that comment!

First of all, thanks for posting that article, Nevillesgirl. It was quite informative.

Now, I was pretty disappointed with some of the stuff I read. They're not having Ron play quidditch, there won't be the scene at St. Mungo's where we see Neville's parents (and a deranged Lockhart), but most of all I was disappointed that it will only be 2 and a half hours. I mean, it is the longest book in the whole series, yet they make it be the shortest movie? That doesn't really make sense to me.

I love that they're having Harry talk to Neville privately about his parents instead. It shows Neville and Harry becoming closer friends, without having to build a set and hire more actors. I'm very happy with all the changes I've heard of so far. This is my favorite book and I think it's going to be my favorite film.

Helena is so funny! I'm so glad she's in it.

i can't wait til the movie and this article was really great because now i wont be wondering where parts are because they tell which they left out. i don't really mind that they leave out some big parts like Nevile's parets.
