Well, let me start off by saying that I got the book early. Yes I was one of those "horrible fans" that got the book before it came out (although I did buy two copies) so I knew on Tuesday that our beloved Remus died. (and it killed me fellow SPELL members that I was the only one, that I know of, in SPELL who knew.) I was very upset, actually started crying and my explanation of "Remus dies!" did not seem to satisfy my mother as a reasonable explanation as to why someone should break into tears in the middle of doing laundry. When I actually got the book and read it I was prepared for his death and while it still outraged me, I didn't cry. What actually made me cry was when Tonks came and asked where Remus was, cause I knew...Anyways onto the questions:

1) So first things first. What did you think?
I loved the book, I thought it was very good. Although I'll need to read it a few more times before I can decide if it becomes my new favortie or not.

2) Did you think Remus had a big enough part?
I thought he had an acceptable part. Of course there can never really be enough but I thought he had a good sized part.

3)Favorite Lupin Bit?
Hmm...I liked them all for different reasons but if I must choose then probably the scene at Grimmauld Place. Which is ironic cause I hated that scene when I first read it (mostly cause of Harry I think, not Remus) but now...I love it! I love Angry!Remus.

4)Did you feel his backstory was answered/explained?
Nope. Not even a little bit, thanks JKR. (Wow, bitterness? I guess so!)

5)What did you think of the Tonks/Lupin relationship?
Um...it felt a little rushed? Forced? I don't know. I think his reaction of "I was wrong to marry Tonks" was very Lupin like and to me, really fit in with is character.

6)Did any of your Lupin theorys come true?
I'd say he lost his temper, eh? I've always maintained that there's a darker side to Remus.

7)Favorite Lupin quote?
"It's a boy!" Omg I squeed so loud! And I was at work! I ran up to my friend and shouted "Lupin and Tonks had a baby!" Customer's stared, everyone thought I was weird.

8)How much do you think Lupin loved Sirius?
Um..unconditionally? God I'm such a puppyshipper. I agree with Helen's theory about the bikini-clad muggles. It was a rouse. The world of puppushipper fanfic is safe.

9)How much do you think Lupin helped Harry on his journey?
I don't think he was a huge part of it. But I think Harry kept him in mind throughout his journey.

10)If 'The Bad Thing' happened do you thik it was done tactfully and justified?
I can't use the words I want to to say what I think of 'The Bad Thing', as this is a kid friendly forum and I don't want to get yelled at. Let's just say I was/am less than pleased. A list of the dead? Really? the only positive thing I can say is that at least it leaves whatever possibilty open to fanfic writers.

11)What interaction between Remus and another character did you enjoy most?
Remus and the giant squid....no wait, that was in my head. Remus and Harry and also I'd have to say Remus and himself, because I'm sure he was expeirencing a lot of inner turmoil, even if we didn't really see too much of it.

12)Did you find any flaws in his character, if so what were they?
I thought his character was spot on, you know apart from dying. I consider that a major character flaw.

Okay, like everyone said, in the beginning with Voldemort and how they threw in that Remus and Tonks got married I almost yelled, but I didn't since my friend slept over and she was still asleep... But I was mad that they started making fun of Remus and Tonks marrage, but can you expect anything less than that from Voldemort?

I loved it! Since there was no Hogwarts (well, no classes) it made it much more like they were all on there own, I don't know, something about that is just great!

2) Did you think Remus had a big enough part?
Yes, of course it could be bigger, but he was definately mentioned and there more in this book than any other.

3)Favorite Lupin Bit?
On Potterwatch when they are talking about Harry, very nice!! I also loved (like everyone ales) when Remus runs into the room saying 'It's a boy!' And of course, who could forget the legendary 'slam Harry into the wall' bit by Remus, haha.

4)Did you feel his backstory was answered/explained?
No, they had nothing of it in the book. Well, we did learn that he was muggle-born. So his parents could have been a witch and wizard but muggle-born. Or just his father was a wizard (muggle-born or half-blood) to make Remus muggle-born (since we know his dad ticked off Greyback.

5)What did you think of the Tonks/Lupin relationship?
Great!!! But again, sort of odd how they were just married, then just having a baby. It was awesomely writen, just not enough Remus/Tonks.

6)Did any of your Lupin theorys come true?
Well, he lost his temper. Only once though, and that's because Harry agrivated him... but that still counts right?

7)Favorite Lupin quote?
"'Harry is the best hope we have. Trust him.'" I dunno, That was more what Dumbledore said though... Okay, Most definiately "You'll be godfather?" I dunno, seemed to hit me, very touching.

8)How much do you think Lupin loved Sirius?
Like a brother.

9)How much do you think Lupin helped Harry on his journey?
Well, Remus wanted to come and protect Harry, then Harry told him to be with his wife and child. And it worked!!!

10)If 'The Bad Thing' happened do you thik it was done tactfully and justified?
No, Remus and Tonks were fighting one minute, dead on the ground the next. But people do die in a battle, just that everyone elses' death was explained except theirs. Probably since Harry wasn't around and he was walking to his death he didn't have the chance to find out.

11)What interaction between Remus and another character did you enjoy most?
Umm... Tonks and Harry!! Tonks his wife, a start. And then Harry, the last thing he had left of James and Lily.

12)Did you find any flaws in his character, if so what were they?
Flaws? What flaws? I don't find anything that had flaws. Well, you know, minus the part where he DIED!!!! Only flaw I found...

I suppose their deaths were written realistically, however dissappointingly for fans.

Oh, God, that sounded horrible.

Dear me.

Ahem. What I mean is that, I agree, it seems that it was almost an afterthought. But after reading some of the comments around the web: the fact that it is so sudden (alive and then just...dead) makes it even more tragic. And yes, that blasted Harry Filter messing around with our perception! (At least there's always the movie...maybe they'll show what JK thought happened...I mean, she had to picture it, even if it didn't make the final cut. Maybe she even had their Death Scene in it in the first place, but found it would mangle up Harry's Things-To-Do-Before-He-Met-Voldie plotline.)

I suppose JK's initial purpose at that bit wasn't for everyone to go 'awww how sweet'. But still...I want some kind of...last words or...last action...like Lupin knocking off a few DEs in a blast of incredible magic and then someone coming up behind his back and...well, you know how it plays out.

I think I'm OK now...I'm not staring at the wall in misery anymore. Their deaths are almost just canon to me now. I prefer to think of Daddy Remus! (But Mad-Like-A-Wolf Lupin still makes me squee. It's just so cool to see such a different side to him. I don't agree when people say it's out of character...everyone has weird moments that are unlike themselves. Lupin would have to be weird and strangely inhuman to not have at least one "$%#!" moment.

And yes, waving Teddy's picture around just before he's going off to fight! SQUEE! Another favourite!

Cannot WAIT for the next two movies!

Those are all the "phases" I went through when I saw those dreaded words. I could NOT believe it. I was shocked beyond belief. And when I realized it was true, I cried so hard you would've thought my best friend died. And after I cried, I refused to believe it again. I thought, (like baz) hes just sleeping, just sleeping...
I also cried my heart out when Fred, Dobby, and T-T-Tonks....you know. But thats all I can say right now without breaking into tears again.

Plus I'm in total pain because I just got my bottom braces on.
