I have a whole collection of Disney videotapes at home! Any of the old ones that is. The only sequel worth watcing would probably be Aladdin: Jafar's revenge and Lion King II: Simba's Pride.
(Ohh, Lion King the Broadway production!)
I have the Mulan soundtrack in Cantonese, Mandarin and English. I have no idea why.
Wow, I haven't watched one of those videotapes from my collection in a long time. . .They're gathering dust.

Is 'The Incredibles' a Disney Movie? I don't know if Pixar and Disney are related or anything. . . I wanted to watch 'The Incredibles' on Veteran's Day, but it was all sold out! Literally everyone has either watched it or wants to watch it. It's crazy!
zyra123
Nov 22 2004, 08:32 AM
Veteran's Day? Is that some kind of a public holiday at your place Joe?
Well, I'm not sure whether Pixar and Disney are related or anything but what I know everytime they join forces together to make a film, the result would be a blast!! Like Monster Inc. , Finding Nemo, and the recently The Incredibles of course... (yap, it's a Disney movie...)
But I've seen on a poster of The Incredibles and it says on top of it...
'Disney present a Pixar film...The Incredibles'. What do you reckon it means eh? That Pixar makes the film and Disney act as the producer? I dunno, I'm not much of a movie buzz... heh, some help I give you eh?
Naz
Nov 23 2004, 12:48 AM
that is what it means. disney is the producer of the movie.

Nov 23 2004, 02:38 AM
Yeah, Disney and Pixar coincide with a lot of movies such as Toy Story, Toy Story 2, and even Monsters Inc.. I think they both worked on Lilo and Stitch too, but I could be mistaken.
zyra123
Nov 23 2004, 03:56 AM
Oh, yeah!! Lilo and Stitch too!! I really like that Stitch guy, y'know...
Thanks for clarifying that for me, dansgurl!
Anyway, I've seen on other site that Vin Diesel (just love his voice!!

heh heh!!) will be acting in the next Disney film. 'The Pacifier' I think, it's call...it'll be out in March 2005. I really hope it's good (if it is, I can see it as my birthday present!!). From the look of it, it seems like an interesting one to watch. I dunno....I hope it didn't turn out like Arnold in 'Kindergarten Cop' though...
Anyway, Vin Diesel hasn't been on movies lately...miss that big guy...

High School Musical..Umm I thought it was okay, but not the best. They put it to a bunch of just bareable songs and everyone things it's the best thing since sliced bread. It's not..
I didn't like that in the commercials they said "It's not like any other Disney Channel movie you've ever seen."
While it is.
The main plot: A guy likes basketball, he's the school star, yada, yada. He gets involved in singing and he's really good at it, but his friends thinks its lame. He eventually realizes he shouldn't listen to his friends because they're idiots. He ends up getting the best of both worlds.
Double Teamed: 2 twins like volleyball, and they're awesome at it, school star, yada,. yada. They end up getting involved in basketball, but they think it's lame. They realize that they're wrong. They end up getting the best of both worlds.
Eddie's Million Dollar Cook-off: A guy is great at baseball, school star, and everything. He ends up getting involved in cooking, but all of his friends think it's lame. He eventually realizes he shouldn't listen to his friends because they're idiots. He ends up getting the best of both worlds.
Go Figure: A girl is great at ice skating, amazing, one of the best, all that jazz..she wins this wonderful scholarship to pursue her skating carrer, but in the process, she has to play hockey. She hates hockey she thinks it's lame. She realizes she's wrong and ends up getting the best of both sports.
Johnny Tsunami: A guy is fabulous at surfing, he ends up moving to wherever and has to learn how to snowboard, or something, He hates it. He realizes she's wrong and ends up getting the best of both sports.
Hmm..I see a resemblance..

One of my favourites since I was little is Snow White. I loved the songs, and still do! I try to watch it whenever I can. I also love 101 Dalmations! I think puppies are the cutest thing ever.

And of course, Pirates of the Carribean. Pirates owns my life. I watched it 4 times a day, almost every day in the summer. I knew all the words and I said things like "Savvy?" and "I'm disinclined to acquiesce to your request." all the time. Disney movies are great. I love them all, but those three are my favourite. And I'm sure Pirates of the Carribean 2 and 3 will be favourites of mine, too.

it wasn't what i expected, definitely not what i expected.
anyways...i saw it 3 times and it still doesn't appeal to me. everyone is always like 'watch high school musical, its the best' and i always say 'what's so great about it?'. what do i get? a glare.
but seriously, what is so great about high school musical so it doesn't even come close to any other disney movie?
other than that, my favortie disney movies will always be:
Peter Pan
Lion King
Lilo and Stitch
and that's it!

Okay, you must understand that I am in high school. Lets just put that there for clarification
So, one day I am walking into my Video Production 3rd period class to hear a group of about 10 kids, both boys and girls mixed, talking about the best movie in the entire world. I caught the name "High School Musical," and thought it sounded a bit...hmmm -- corny. But, after hearing one of my best friends say that he saw this High School Musical show for "
only the second time last weekend," and somebody replied with "ONLY 2 TIMES!?!?" I knew I had to see it....
So, I get home from my girlfriend's house on Friday night, and what do I see on the Disney Channel? None other than High School Musical! Perfect, a time to get a chance to see this amazing thing that I was missing out on! Or not....
Most of the parts were just unbearable to watch to me. Some of the singing was just
okay, and most of the acting was...well, urrrrghhhh! I did, however, not shut it off until the end. The movie just didn't do it for me. I still cannot see why everybody thinks that "Gotta-gotta-gotta-getcha-head-in-tha-game" is so amazing

...
But, despite my opinion, the movie will remain one of the most popular in my school for a while. I know some really hard-core HSM fans, and we have just agreed to disagree. Although I do not see whats so great about the movie, they are more than entitled to their opinions!

High school musical, um never seen it...looks cheesy though! My favorite all time disney movie is, drum roll please, The Little Mermaid! I absolutley love that movie! Me and my mom, are big time disney movie fans hehe, we LOVE disneyland and actually today my brother got back from a trip there haha fancy that.
Anyways. the little mermaid rocks and I love it and my second favorite would be...I really like Sleeping Beauty its classic and I really like that movie but before that one comes Fox and the Hound. Copper is just insanley cute! Love that movie. Then Cinderella, I know that movie by heart! But I love Aristocats too that movie is so cool! haha I love alot of disney movies!
Yep yep disney rocks, and they always have catchy songs. Disney channel is a bit cheesy. I like That's so Raven and the Suite Life of Zack and Cody, some of the humor is laugh out loud, but I really despise most of the other stuff like this new Hannah Montana thing, HORRIBLE I watched it Friday when I was sick. Oh dear it was awful.
Anyways before I start bashing.

I simply love the Disney movies...
One thing of the things for kids it's the same basis of the magic we have in HP: ALL IS POSSIBLE, that is what makes the children histories so marvelous...
For example, I liked a lot Lilo & Stitch, I know the begging's song (He Mele No Lilo)...
Specially, I'm a singer, as I have said on many threads in here. And Disney songs are pretty good...
I know the songs of Mulan, The Lion King, Lilo & Stitch, Narnia...
Oh, I loved Narnia movie!...
Also, the Pacifier, the Pirates of the Carribean and so, are great movies one has to see...

I like Disney films the same way I like all other films; on a one on one basis. As a whole. Disney annoys me to death but I do love a lot of it's individual films. My favorite is the Hunchback of Notredame. It's so good. Next up is the Lion King followed by Cinderella. Those are my favorites and I feel they are by far the best. I haven't seen Pirates of The Carribean (I know I'm probably the only one left) and I probably never will. Anyway, that's just my two bits.

I loved Disney Movies when I was younger. And most of them still stick on to me. Especially the songs. Haha. I remember lots of them since I watched most of the animated movies more than once.. or twice.. or five times.

I use to love the OSTs as well. Especially in Mulan! haha.
My Favorite Disney movies are [even though I'm already old. haha.]:
Marry Poppins !! haha! I watched this a bazillion times when I was a kid!
The Lion King
Beauty and the Beast !! haha. This is my favorite princess story thing ever.
101 Dalmatians hehe! Doggies!!
Toy Story 1,2 [YAY! Toys rule!

]
A Bug's LifeMulan
HerculesPocahontas I hate the sequel.
Goofy MovieJames and the Giant PeachThree Men and a BabyThe Parent Trap
Monster's Inc. hehe.
Finding Nemo [haha! omg! I was already 13 when this came out but I still love it! the same with:]
The Incredibles
Freaky FridayUhh.. I should stop now. Haha.

I'm glad you mentioned Hercules, not just because I love it but because of Hercules's first song. You know "I can go the distance.." Can't you guys picture Harry saying the same thing? The sorrow yet undieing hope both characters feel. I love a lot of Disney films.
"Just a spoonful of a sugar" eh? Don't think there are many people left in existence who don't atleast know that much of the film. Hey what do you all feel was the best/worst disney flick of all time? My pick for best is a tie between the Lion King and Hunchback of Notredame. The songs, the characters and the setting we all just amazing. Going from one scene to the other was almost unbearable. I didn't want any of it to end. The worst Disney Film has to be The Black Couldron. I know it wasn't terrible but trying to mix Tolkeinish evil with four-year old cutesy just isn't my cup of tea.
bernina
Jun 7 2006, 03:21 AM
Now that you mention it.. Yeah, I believe I can see Harry saying the same thing. Hehe. I just hope he doesn't start singing it in OotP. Haha. That would be a bit weird. For me, the best Disney film would have to be Mulan, Beauty and the Beast and the Incredibles. I just love the story to both of them and the things I believe the lessons you can learn from them. The worst.. Hmm.. Probably most of the Disney Channel Original Movie thingies. Oh, and most of the Disney Classics sequels. They should just really leave it where it ended.
thesolitaryone
Jun 13 2006, 12:42 PM
My Favourite DCOM (Disney Channel Original Movie) flick would have to be High School Musical. It is just so uplifting. The songs are catchy and the storyline is classic. I just dont know how they'll do the sequal with the same characters if SHarpay ended up making up with Gabriella in the end....
Anyway...
Then theres the rest....Pirates of the Carribbean, Finding Nemo, The Lion King...etc. etc.
