I live in San Jose! So I'm one of the lucky ones yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay! I never thought that they would even think of coming to my city but yet again there are a million people here.
I'm so excited I live 10 minuetes away from both libraries. tongue.gif

Are any of you going to go? can you go?

This news was posted on VTM's main news page the day before yesterday. I have to say I am dead jealous that Bloomsbury Press is not doing something similar in the UK. In fact I think I might e-mail their marketing department and ask them why not!! wink.gif

Bloomsberry is not doing anything?! nothing at all?
One would think that the UK would be having more specials and more events just because that is where it all started. But I guess I was wrong.

But I'm really excited to be going. when I saw the headline on VTM. The first thought that came into my head was they are most definitly not coming to San Jose But when I scrolled down and saw all the cities I saw San Jose I was All happy andd jumping around and other crazy things. tongue.gif

I wish everyone could come sad.gif

I am really pleased for you. It is so exiting when something like this happens in your own town.

Well I was good to my word. I have just sent an e-mail to Bloomsbury Press's publicity department asking whether or not they had any plans for an event similar to this one, or in fact any pre book release events planned at all.

I'll let you know if and when I get a reply.

In the meantime, everyone who is lucky enough to be able to get to any pre launch events...have a great time.

I wish that it would go by my library... Or somewhere close to it at least...

I live in the middle of no where!! I'm going insane here! wacko.gif

Well, congrats to everyone who gets to see the Knight bus, while I'm here in the middle of no where in line at Barnes and Noble... Woohooo!! biggrin.gif

Yeah I consider myself really lucky because nothing speciial ever happened where I live till Now. YAAAAAAY.
I wish you could all come and be here when it comes sad.gif .
But I'm still not sure what is going to happen when it does come.

I hope bloomsbury do something..I mean, harry potter is made by an english author and that, you'd think they'd be doing something big in the uk as well.
Boo hoo =[

I am totally bummed for two reasons.

1. I live on an island so unless the knight bus has fins and or a sail...I'm out of luck.

2. I will be in California...San Diego to be exact until the 24th of June and the knight bus isn't scheduled to arrive there until July 5...I just can't catch a break sad.gif
workaholic_1231
Oh wow nevillesgirl! sad.gif You sure don't seem to be able to catch a break at all! That's usually my situation, becase why would anyone want to come in the middle of the US? everything happens everywhere else.
For Once... *jumps up and down about a million times* Wow! I would never of thought that it would come to St. Louis but it is! And actually one of the libraries listed isn't that too bad of a drive... or at least the drive would be well worth it. wink.gif

Dant da duuuun! The knightbus left today from the Today show in New York. *grrr* I am a little bit cynical and found myself actually hoping that things don't go as planned...you know like a flat tire. sad.gif I know I know I'm just unhappy and I should be excited for all of those lucky fans who will have the opportunity to experience it first hand. I would hope that the next time Scholastic has a massive sucess with one of its titles they will consider the fans that are in the middle of the ocean on islands...Australia must suffer as much as I do?
knockturn alley
im soooo gonna be there on july 5th when it comes to beautiful san diego!! im not sure what ot expect.... i mean, what exactly happens when the knight bus comes rolling into town? it should be interesting. im sorry for all of you who will unfortunately miss it sad.gif

its odd that bloomsbury isn't doing something similar... what with all the hype of it being the last book and all...

June 27th
10 am - 1 pm Chicago Public Library
Woodson Regional Library

I saw it on the news this morning ~ with a very bored reporter. There were floods yesterday & more storms on their way today. However I just can't resist being there! I'll be there later this warm Wednesday and will tell you about it later.

~~Hi, I'm back! With helpful hints for veritaserum~~

If you plan upon visiting the Knight Bus call the library ahead to see if they’re taking reservations. I had to wait and wait and wait---but it wasn’t too bad ‘cos I got to listen to loads of crazy kid-talk.

The bus is designed for getting video/sound bites from fans. Since they’re collecting a piece of you there is a wavier to sign. So when you are asked ‘Are you videotaping?” You say yes! Keep the waiver in your hand & put on the purple wristband. Don’t let the librarian keep it. The guy in the recording booth will want it.

There really isn’t much to see on board. There’s a waiting bench covered in purple cloth. A bookcase with the novels. Two computers (didn’t use them) and the friendly staff. Behind the closed door is where they will tape you.

While waiting I chatted the girls up. They got their jobs because they work for a promotions company. They don’t sleep onboard! One winced and whispered, “You really don’t want to see what’s up there!” They say that all ages of people have visited with many in costume. So don’t be shy about it. The cameraman said he’s heard some very interesting theories…but didn’t want to say what they were! I of course had to drop my startling Severus Snape anagram bomb. yeaah baby! cool.gif

The bus itself is very nicely decorated, so if you can’t get onboard there are plenty of great pics to be had standing next to it.

Hope you get to see it like I did!
