Hmm? Oh, Remus, no questions asked.
I'm not sure why Remus turns me on, I supposed it's that he loves books (all the guys I know in real life have this strange phobia of books) and chocolate. Also, I'm totally obsessed with werewolves, so.....
And that silky sandy-brown hair with slightly darker brown eyes?
But if I couldn't get Remus, I'd definantly go for Regulus Black!
Ooh! You're a R.A.B.F.C'er as well? Yaaay! I do luff his courageousness! -high fives up over the internets-

Yes, Fifth, I certainly am! *returns high five*
I was just coming back to say that I'd have to date Remus or Regulus while they were in school, I don't want a boyfriend 10 years older than me!
But that's the wonder of books like Harry Potter, isn't it? You can place yourself in any time period, so each object of your affections can be close to/the same age as you!

NEVILLE LONGBOTTOM! If he wasn't dating someone and if he liked me. Otherwise I don't know who I would date. Those other guys are kind of boring...

In order from who I'd want to date to not so much who I'd want to date:
1. Dean Thomas
2. Seamus Finnigan (and oddly enough, when I took the quiz, I got him as my boyfriend!)
3. Ron Weasley
4. Harry Potter
5. Sirius Black (LOVE him!)
6. Lupin (although he's really old)

Definately Lupin!!

Lupin or Sirius. I absolutely LOVE Lupin, I would totally take him. Sirius is a great character too though, so if I could have either of them, I'd be totally happy.

Also, of course, Snape.

I love him!! I have a thing for the Slytherins, so I would take Goyle too. I know it's weird, but I think he's gorgeous!!

Draco Malfoy
He is the bad boy that does have a heart. He's smart and hott so thats good. I think that i like him the most because hes someone who if you really wanted to and were sincere he might open up and let you in. That would be good because i could have a close relationship with him.
Ron Weasley
Hes not the big hero but he is always helping with the important things. He's nice and seems like he would be a good boyfriend. He would be caring and not be clingy.

DRACO MALFOY, hands down!
He's got the brains, he's got the looks, and he DOES have a heart! see, he's the bad boy who's not so bad actually. We're both slytherins and we'd make a hot&steamy pair!

Hmmmm id have to say either Ginny, Luna, or Tonks. Ginny because shes pretty, athletic and easy to get along with. Luna because shes different from everybody else you never know what shes gonna do next and shes good lookin. Tonks is awesome shes entertaining, pretty and just fun to be around.

Personally in the books I would probably have to say I would date a verity of people. First and foremost I would, at risk of sounding like a fanboy, date Luna Lovegood. Her over all queer personality and optimistic attitude appeals to me greatly. I've never seen someone so courageous as to be themselves and not care what others think. I believe I'd learn a lot if I were to ever date Luna.
Secondly I would date Draco Malfoy. Unlike Luna, Draco's personality doesn't appeal to me, this is strictly looks. Draco's appetite for dark deeds would worry me sick about him. His rude and egregious demeanor would make me constantly work damage control.
Those are two of the people I would date if given the chance in the Harry Potter Books...
the only one he'll ever want
Jul 21 2009, 03:13 AM
As if it's not, er, obvious, I would date Draco Malfoy before, well, anybody else.
Although I don't base my answers solely on appearance....not gonna lie, he is mighty fine.
(not even just Tom Felton...like just from reading the books he's drool-worthy haha)
Draco is just extremely appealing in almost every way. He has a very cold, harsh exterior and appears very independent, definite turn-on. He swaggers around like nobody's business, and seems very sure of himself. His cockiness and manipulation skills just add to the bad boy persona. Deep down, though, he's kind of timid and sensitive and alone. He lacks true friendships and relationships (Pansy, Astoria...no comment). And if you try to get close to him truly, he kind of pushes you away.
While Draco never truly moves away from his cowardice or is able to change his way of thinking, this aspect of him is attractive as well...he's just another Malfoy.
All of the challenge and heavy emotions and just the exterior arm candy are basically what make him a good guy for me.

i would want to date:
- 1.harry
- 2.sirius
- 3.lupin
- 4.neville
- 5.draco
i love harry completely. he's intelligent, funny, adventurous, and just reading about him cheers me up. i can relate to him on every level.
if sirius was my age i would totally want to date him, he's a fun-loving guy.
same with lupin, he's got the mystery surrounding him
neville may have been incompetent but he's getting better and he's just so quirky it's cute.
draco, what can i say, i do have a thing for the bad boys, they just have that special quality that draws you to them.

I have a few that I wouldn't mind dating...
I can't help it, I would want to date Snape, and it would pretty much be for the idea of "redeeming" him.

Plus, I think he's amazingly smart and actually kind of cute (*cough* especially in the movies *cough*).
If not him, I suppose it would be kind of fun to go out with Harry once or twice. He'd definitely have some amazing stories to tell.

But I don't think he would hold my attention for very long--fame isn't everything, to quote a certain professor, and I don't think his personality and mine would mesh very well.
It would also be fun to go out with Lupin, and I think that I could handle him being a werewolf. He has a fascinating store of knowledge, too, and I would love to have lots of talks with him!
As far as girls go, it would be awesome to go out with Hermione (would she show any signs of being interested in girls, of course

). She's a fascinating combination of prettiness (or I think so, anyway!), book-smarts, and bravery...a very interesting well-rounded kind of Gryffindor.
And regardless of how people act around her, I would love to date Luna.

She's so wacky and fun and open-minded--each date would be like an amazing head trip lol.

Luna Lovegood for sure.
I reckon she's the hottest in the movies and she's actually quite clever (Ravenclaw). She's also really unique and has an interesting view on things.
Luna for sure (: or maybe Tonks. She's also smart (Auror), unique and funny (:

Gosh, where to start : ) There are so many fantastic guys in the books!
I'd love to date Ron because he's so sweet and would make me laugh. He's been raised well and the Weasleys would be a lovely family to hang out with.
Remus would also be a great choice because as quiet as he is, he can be quite the mischief maker. After all, he was part of the Marauders : ) You could really talk with him about anything.
Sirius would bring that excitement of dating a "bad-boy" but it probably wouldn't last long.

Ok I could go for Ron cause he is kind of sweet and pretty funny. I also could go for Fred or George, I mean I love a sense of humor!! Harry is just sort of heavy on everything you know? I like him fine but to date a guy I think would be a tad better to have someone who isn't number one on the bad guy's hit list.

Yea, yea I know the bad guy is dead and everything but that's not my point, surely one of the Death Eaters would still try to kill him even after Voldie's gone... wait are all the Death Eater's dead now??
I think I could also go for an Irish guy to be honest! I love the Irish accent so I could be considered a good listener right? (I'm talking about Seamus... he's Irish.)

I would date Draco, Fred, or George. I would date Fred or George because they are very funny and I love someone who makes me laugh. Also, they are very cute. I'd date Draco because he is hot, has a bad boy side, and is a little misunderstood. He needs comforting and I'm the one who can comfort him!

No doubt about it I would totally date Luna any day. I have had a crush on her since she was first introduced and now I am totally obsessed with her. She is just so amazing in so many ways and if I went to Hogwarts I would make sure to be her friend, I can't believe that no one would be her friend before Harry met her, that just saddens my heart. She is so free just like her patronous (Rabbit) there are just so many things about Luna that make me love her.

Let's start with the dead ones

1. Sirius Black

This will be forever my first choice - even if he's 15 or 30 <3 I just love his personality and I'll gladly join in duels beside him

2. Fred Weasley - I surely need a good time laughing! And with him I'll definitely laugh <33 Besides, I like his name ^^"
3. Remus Lupin - who wouldn't like to play with a nice werewolf like him? <3 Certainly not me

I like his mature attitude and also his loyalty. He'd be great

And now the alive ones *hihi*
1. Ron Weasley - it was a tough decision between him and Harry

But I guess I like more the jealous part of Ron than Harry's

So Ronnie for me <3
2. Harry Potter - well, who wouldn't want the Boy Who Lived?

I like Harry, beside his loneliness only makes me to want to cuddle him more

3. Viktor Krum - er...I liked his Bulgarian accent and how he was so shy in love, especially near Hermione

He was cute ^^
That's all

Not much, no?

erm...DRACO
Portrayed as the bad guy automatically makes me like him, call me a freak but its true. He's smart, confident, in my books misunderstood, has my sense of humour (don't be afraid by that) and is hawt as hell. XD. His father would a be a bit daunting but then so is mine so ha!

There are a few characters that I'd like to date...Harry Potter being one of them, since he sounds pretty interesting, and he doesn't act like someone who's a "cool" guy, so I won't have to feel intimidated.
Actually, he would be! (Just the way I like it...haha!) And then there's Dean, someone I'd like to know better. Besides, I think he's cute, & from what I've read, I just like him. (I love cardboard characters!) I might consider dating Cedric, since he sounds like a good genuine person (well, obviously because he's in Hufflepuff, where all the good people go. Usually.) But then, I'd like someone with a little badness to them, so maybe he'd be too goody for me...at least he's handsome & a Quidditch player! (Not to mention Triwizard Champion!) & then I have Ron Weasley, a guy who's witty & funny, and reminds me of myself! (If I were a guy, I'd be Ron Weasley for sure.) He's loyal (...) & he's a good friend! What else? I also would consider one of the Weasley twins, because they're real jokesters & I love people that make me laugh! Finally, I might even consider Draco...he's really handsome, and I kind of like the tough-on-the-outside-soft-on-the-inside types, however, if his immaturity keeps up, it wouldn't last long.
Those are my dates! Heehee!

Draco Malfoy. Not only is he cunning and wealthy, he's HOT.
Ron Weasley. The most hilarious/adorable male character of the serise.
Cedric Diggory. Hufflepuff, and a Triwizard Champion.
Oliver Wood. Quiddich player, making him all the more attactive.
James Potter. *sigh* -enough said.

Note that the title of the thread is "who would you date from the books?" and not which actor/actress in the movies turned you on.
Being male, I did a quick mental survey of the women in the books and have come to the conclusion that JKR really didn't care for other women very much.
Hermione, who is JKR's avatar running through the tale, and Ginny, the queen selected for the hero are presented very favorably, but the rest of the women who we get to know are a pretty unimpressive lot whether good guys or villains.
Most of the adult women, JKR really didn't spend much time developing beyond a bare caricature.
Petunia
Mrs Figg
McGonagle (something there, but little development)
Sprout
Hooch
The Librarian
The Nurse
Trelawney
Amelia Bones
Belatrix
Narcissa
Andromeda
The only adult women portrayed in much detail are Lily, Molly, and Tonks and to some degree, Molly and Tonks most often fall into Shakespeare's "comic relief" roles.
Among the teenagers, only Luna gets more than brief mentions and she is more often used for comic relief.
JKR's male characters are often rich in detail, conflict, and chances to show themselves in their best (and worst) lights.
The female characters other than Hermione/Ginny are only window dressing and JKR focuses onn their physical non-attractiveness, lack of charactor, and general silliness.

That would be the one and only Draco Malfoy!
I know he's arrogant, rude and annoying. But I think it's only because he's just being misunderstood, and that is the way he's been raised by his parents..
I believe that deep down in his heart, he's got a nice and warm side...

Actually, my crush on Draco wouldn't affect my choice. It wouldn't be him. For two reasons really. One, he doesn't respect those he doesn't have to, and Two, he's not my type. I'm am, when I choose to become a label, a straight edge. I don't do drugs, I rarely get bad grades, hardly get in fights, and I'm always home by curfew. Draco Malfoy is a bad boy, moody, snotty, cruel boy. He's the bad boy. Stereotypically, all straight edges are supposed to at least crush on the bad boy, and I have. But I'm intelligent enough to realize that he's not for me.
Instead, I would choose Neville or Ernie but probably Terry Boot. Terry is smart. Thats all I know about him which allows my imagination to step forward. He's probably clever, full of witty retorts, funny enough to match my own (I only pretend I'm funny). He'll be kind and make me laugh, but perhaps a little jealous, and maybe even resent some of my closest guy friends. He doesn't want kids, but loves his nieces and nephews and seriously wants to travel with me when we are finished with school.
I know that's probably too well thought out about Terry. But I love to make the undeveloped characters in books blossom. Its a nasty habit of mine often mistaken for a creepy fantasy of some one who's never stuck her nose into real life. I have experienced real life thank you and I rather enjoy.

Who would I date??
I guess my first choice would be Neville!
I mean he's so cute in GoF when he's practicing for the Yule Ball...
And then it really had to be Ron..he'd be a loyal boyfriend! And certainly, his 'emotional range of a teaspoon' wouldn't matter...it makes him much more adorable:)
Harry would probably only be my best friend..
And Oliver Wood would be an option...certainly

I'm thinking Seamus, I don't know why though... If not then definitely Fred or George Weasley. I mean they are laid back and funny, yet they are incredibly intelligent. Even Hermione admits they are very smart. They just sort of needed to focus more on the task at hand during school, so people don't really veiw them as a level of genius. I still find something intriguing about Seamus... silly little Irish man. By the way, in the books, did they say he's Irish? The guy in the movie is, but I was just wondering if he was in the books... I'm still quite fond of him...

It's interesting reading all the one's you guys think.
Personally, i would most like to date Luna, because of her dreamy and laid back personality but she's in ravenclaw meaning she's gotta be smart.
Or maybe Charlie, he seems hot, and i love dragons! they're super cool and he could tell me all about the awesome dragons he deals with all day.
And then there is, of course, Sirius, the total prankster and he sounds hot in his younger days.
I love them all and there are so many to choose from...

OOH, this is easy - Snape! I daydream about him every day of my life lol, and I refuse to write fanfics with any other ship except him/me, which stops a lot of people from reading them lol. I think I'd be tempted by Lucius as well, but I remain faithful to Severus

he is my soulmate, he just hasn't got around to meeting me yet. x

As much as I wish I could say that I'd end up with one of the Weasley twins or Harry, I would probably end up with Neville. He may not be the most attractive or smartest of the characters, but he's probably the best match for me both regarding our interests and our personalities.
However, it would be pretty great if I dated Harry Potter. I mean, who wouldn't want to date the most famous teenager in the wizarding world?

There are two possible answers, but there are also to possible questions.
To the question 'who would you most likely date' I would have to answer Rabastan Lestrange.
To the question 'who would you like to date' I would answer Rodolphus Lestrange.

Of the Adults. I'll have to say Bellatrix Lestrange. Because Bad Girls are SO-Frackin-HOT!

Just b/c were on Opposing Sides of the War.She as one of the Top Deatheaters. And I as a Member of the OOTP(or D.A.)...Just Because- We would have to be Enemies on the Battlfield.Doesn`t mean that we would also have to be Enemies. In the Bedroom...
Of the Students...I Love-Hermione Jean Granger for So Many Reasons!...But I am also Quite Fond, of Luna Lovegood as well.Though my Attraction to Ms.Lovegood.Might actually, have more to do with Evanna Lynch`s potrayal of her in the Films.Than anything else.I think E.L. is an Incredibly Sexy Talented Beautiful-Young Woman! I look forward to seeing her in More Roles after Harry Potter. There are some really nice pictures of her.At www.oclumencia.com.I particulary like the Photocall na Dinamarca Pics of Evanna Lynch and Bonnie Wright.From2009...Oh,and there is also a Great Fanmade Vid.By RandHrShipper1.Of Harry/Luna to Justin Timberlake`s song. "Lovestoned".It`s on YouTube.I think that I probably fell for Luna after watching this Vid! It is just such a Sweet and Adorable Video. You should really check it out...
And- I might have asked Cho Chang out. Before Cedric's Death made her into a Human Hosepipe.I can see how coping with her boyfriends death was difficult for her.Losing a loved one. Would be trying for anyone! Hermione of course explained what Cho was going through, quite well. But I think that when she returned in Deathly Hallows. She clearly had matured somewhat...Good for her...

Oh! And I would definetly ask the Lovely Ms.Fluer Delacour out.

She is Cultured Sophisticated Highly Attractive. And she really came around in HBP.I think she would make a great Dance Partner as well.

And for some reason...I also think. That she would make a great mom, someday.
And plus...The actress who plays her.Has Beautiful Lips!

I would Snog her so-often.That Lavendar and Ron would look Tame by Constrast!
