That was absolutely amazing! You have me on the edge of my seat craving to read more and you are only in the second chapter. I love your expertise in the use of detail while describing things that could be construed as mundane. Chestnut hair instead of brown or the common chocolate...Wonderful.
What has me hooked is the complexity of Tom Riddle. He has already begun to disdain Albus Dumbledore, and he seems quite interested in Miss Odette. *wink wink* What I can't figure out is why? Does he have his own agenda concerning her? Is it genuine? Is he falling for her? This is a fabulous story...I wonder how he will act now that she has been sorted into Gryffindor?

So it seems that Tom really does like her? How unusual. It might take me some getting used to that Tom can actually feel. I wonder why Odette eats alone? I mean the girls in her dorm seemed friendly enough? In any case I am glad that she seems to have two new friends, Seb and Bobby. And what's the deal with Professor Farina and the intense dislike she seems to show? That can't be just from Odette being late.
I wonder why Tom wants to meet her tonight when he is meeting her in Hogsmeade next week. I wonder what is so important?
