Ron/Hermione is my second favorite couple.....They're just so cute together. And it reminds me a little bit about Lilly/James relationship. How Lilly would always think James was immature, etc etc...

I really think they'll end up together. They argue so much, and it seems so obvious that theres a little fire burning between them. I mean, the handshake at the end of book 2 and movie 2, and then when she grabs to hold his hand in Movie 3..

Why would J.K Rowling allow that, if it didn't have something to do with the future of the two?

When it comes to being close to someone who you like, you usually chicken out. Especially if your Hermione and Ron.

That is true. Me and my boyfriends relationship proves it! We fight CONSTANTLY, I swear. Just like Hermione and Ron. We use to hate eachother when we first met, too. But then we kinda fell for eachother...

I think this is the most obvious future couple in the books.
We have had clues in the PoA that Ron and Hermione might light each other, and in many pages of the books.

i'm cheering for this relationship to soar! ron and hermione were meant to be together, but they need to be comfortable with each other first. there's no point to be in a relationship with someone if you end up feeling weird around them. oh dear, i sound like a teenage counselor.

BUT ANYWAY, if hermione ends up with harry, that'll be soooooo cliche. the hero gets the girl at the end? bleh, so overused it's disgusting. plus, this is rowling we're talking about! surely she'll be more creative than using the usual romance ending.

HOWEVER: i'm one of those people who think ron will die by the end of the series. as much as i hate to admit it, i really think ron will die. but right before rowling writes down how ron kicks the bucket he'll confess his love for hermione, or vice versa (or both at the same time! ^___^ that'll be soooooo cute) if you want to see why i think ron will die, go the the post i wrote about ron's death in the poll's section. i'm sure you'll find it most interesting...

This seems to be the only couple that Jk gave a definate yes to. When does she ever give a yes or no answer to a question? I read it on some Ron/Hermione fan site that I dont have the link too. But, I love this couple, even before the 5th book came out, they had reminded me of Molly and Arthur. Ron needs someone who can call on him when he's being a jerk, or doenst know when to be quite, or when to speak. In other words, a controling woman, and who is more controling than Hermione?

OMG, ive been waiting so long for this 'ship to sail, and, as so many of you have already pointed out, there is sufficient evidence that it eventually will! but what of viktor krum? somethings gotta happen there before hermy & ron can get together...hopefully that will be in book 6, but i kinda doubt it unless it is at the very end. i see the whole 'ship happening in the 7th book, personally, but i hope it is sooner!

However, I do favor this relationship above all others in the HP books. If Ron and Hermione don't end up together, I'll be SEVERELY dissapointed in Jo Rowling. Hopefully though, she won't put us through the torture of either of them liking anyone else.

I agree. She has dropped so many hints about them. They are so perfect for each other. And the reason JKR won't give us a straight answer about it is because she said she "loves to listen to the arguements." She even said that she figured it was completely obvious who Hermione is going to end up with.

Yup. And I think that Ron and Hermione would take a relationship fairly seriously. I know Hermione would. They just seem to me, to be much more than a little fling. Their love is forever! (I know I'm such a girl) But I really want them to together.
And Bella, I think JKR will probably make us wait until the 7th book for Hermione and Ron to get together. In the 6th book they're going to be too busy trying to help Harry get out of the deep depression he's gonna be going through, and all that other stuff too.

I dunno, I think maybe by the end of the 6th book something might happen between Hermione/Ron which will continue in the 7th book. Yeah of course they're gonna help Harry, but I'm sure Harry isnt going to want them around him 24/7. So i'm sure they'll find time for their own lives.

True that Harry won't want them around him 24/7. But even if they did stuff away from Harry. like date or whatever, unless they tell Harry about it, we won't know about it. Since they books take place from his point of view. So, yes, maybe at the end of the 6th book they'll tell Harry something about it, or maybe not. But I can't wait to see what happens.

on what bellatrix and lucius were saying (whats with the deatheater names guys?! haha, only kidding) i think if R/Hr get together (fingers crossed) it will happen in the 6th book. I mean, like you said, Harry will be in a deep depression. JKR LoOoOoves to throw rocks at her characters, so don't you think it would just be the icing on the cake for Harry if he finds out his two best friends are together?? Angst and hilarity ensue.

I think Ron and hermione won't be together in the 6th book, but WILL be together in the 7th book. For a simple reason: JK said that we will see Viktor Krum, but NOT soon. I think Viktor will appear in the 7th, not 6th book, and Ron... will be... JEALOUS!!!!!!

I don't know about that. But I know that Ron would be jealous of Krum seeing as he already was and is. You heard him when he found out who she was writing to in the 5th book. He's so cute when he's jealous.

Anyway, (we like our death eater names, they're cool:P) At any rate, if Harry finds out about those 2 in the 6th book he'll be depressed and probably just feel like a 3rd wheel, if he even cares enough to feel anything about it other than glad that they're together. Cause there have been times in the books where Harry thinks something that is so tells us that he thinks Ron and Hermione should just hook up already.

Anyway, I hope they get together soon, but I think they might be too busy in the 6th book, so I'm putting my money on the 7th book being the one where we find out about their relationship.

Well, since Harry seems to trust Ginny, I think she might be allowed into the trio's little circle. Now if Ron and Hermione get together, that awkwardness that will be between Harry and Ginny might lead to something more, I hope this is only what I want to happen, I think when Ron said that Ginny should end up with someone better and he looked at Harry, it might have been forshadowing a Harry and Ginny relationship.

I think Ron/Hermione are more "appealing" because they are not the typical couple, Its not the fairy tale ending, im tired of that, Harry Potter isn't a Disney book/movie. And yes i'm one of those 'crazy' people( as the H/Hr shippers would say ) That think there is majour tension between R/H. Im absoulty sure there is tension, even Chris Colombus said so. Now sexual tension on the other hand.. im not quite sure about but I do think that there is, And I do think that their constant argueing is just an exuse to talk to eachother. And when you like someone, you always have to be right with them. I.E them always bickering about whos wrong/right. They both want to be right so they can look good to the other person. And Hermione calls Ron by his first name lots of times 'Ronald' When you like someone, you do that more. Ex, is when I liked(and still do like) a guy named Dan, I always call him Daniel. And yes im 99% sure that Ron likes Hermione, but not so sure of Hermione repaying the feelings, that much atleast. But I doubt JK is going to break Ron's heart, and have Hermione & Harry end up together, and I dont think Harry even likes Hermione. And JK is not going to put Ron with some "side" character, the fans arn't going to fly well with that.

Yeah i like the idea of hermione and ron, they are so mix matched that they might actually work out! They're arguing could be sexual tension, I think they are both afraid to admit their own feelings. Ron has got to get a girlfriend soon though, seeing his little sister go out with Micheal horner must be an incentive, seen as she is younger than him! Harry and Ginny wouldn't work out though, it shud be ginny and Sheamus and Harry and cho, well i think so neway, bot sure what JK is going to do thought, she's always unpredictable!
