I was just wondering what you would eat if you could only eat one thing for 3 months......and you cant steal different food......it includes water though so you wont get dehydrated.....so i was just wondering. I would pick corn because it is my favorite food.

P.S: I already checked if this was a topic with a prefect and they told me there wasnt and it was okay to start this one on JGAFL......so just wanted to add that if a prefect thinks about shutting this down.....and the prefect that told me that was Capricorn just in case if you wanted to know who.
Cobra
Interesting. Corn is good. I would say tacos. they are my second favourite food, lobster is my favourite. but tacos has like grain, meat, vegatbles (toppings like lettuce tomato etc). Which is good for you. I htink I have taste and nutrition covered. Yay!!!!!!!
shy
wow um maybe something like spagetti but then again all of that pasta would make you feel a little bit sick.or oh i know cheese and bacon rolls.mmm lol theres just so much food to choose from:P
alkisti
I would go with spaggeti. Though i would cheat, i mean you can't eat just spaggeti without any cheese. So my food would include cheese and bacon and some tasty sauces hehe! laugh.gif
But it is so hard to choose. What about pizza?
There are so many choices like vegeterian, with chicken, four types of cheese...Ah my saliva is going mad! blink.gif
But anyways, why on earth would we ever have to do that??? huh.gif laugh.gif
snapesgirlforlife
nice question Al!!! but this is a hard one for me.....but if i had to chose....i would probablly choose........Maple and Brown Sugar Oatmeal.....don't ask Al, just don't ask.....lol....
beyond_the_veil
There's so many to choose from. I was going to say Creamy Chicken Curry and rice but is don't think i'd be able to eat that for 3 months! If i had to choose something it would be a deep-pan cheese and tomato pizza biggrin.gif yum!
razzberry2
unrealistically... psh... no contest; Garlic Prawns with a touch of fresh chilli - preferably fresh locally caught Mandurah prawns and those tiny red chillies that are dangerously hot. This particular indulgence is unbeatable.

Although to be completely honest, I don't think I could eat them every meal for three months straight. (I doubt my health would appreciate it tongue.gif ). In boring old reality I'd pick a meal that covered all of the food groups (yeah yeah rolleyes.gif ) with as much flavour as possible and the least of all the bad stuff we're not supposed to consume too regularly.

TBH - three months of the same food - day in, day out (no matter how decadent the dish) - is tantamount to some of the worst kind of deprivation imaginable for people like us who are actually lucky enough to have some pretty open choices about what we want to eat at any given time.
Killian
The potato! Think about it, you could have mashed potatoes, boiled potatoes, creamed potatoes, baked potatoes etc. etc. and the potato has a lot of good in it, a lot of what your body needs, if you're gonna only eat one food for 3 months, the potato is a good choice in my books.
Aethonon
Killian, you're my hero! I adore potatoes! smile.gif

I think I would choose my own beef stew. It has onions, potatoes wub.gif , carrots, celery, and beef. Veggies and protein! But I bet I would really crave sweets! This would keep me healthy though! Fun topic!
etphonehome
Three months...I'd die of boredom! mellow.gif

So I'd have to say my left over salad (since it's nearly summer). It contain jersey royal new potatoes...Killian will know about them! Low fat mayo, tuna or chicken, salad vegetables such as cucumber, tomatoes, onions, raddishes, anything salady basically! Yummeee!

But Darcy, you're right, I'd crave sweets within a fortnight!
AbiLove
oooo I would probably choose those chicken quesadillas from taco bell. I think i could live off them for 3 months....or maybe..sushi..i think i could live off that too...I dont know its hard to choose. biggrin.gif I dont know what i would do with out Dr pepper and gummeh worms for three months though... tongue.gif
Phoenix92
I normally hate food..I don't know why..so..if I was given the same food 3 months..?..I would choose Pasta..The only thing I love in foods is Pasta..but.for 3 months..?..I would die of the same taste..Sometimes,things we love can be loved only to a limit..the same thing we get continously...would kill me..anyway,so I choose Pasta..
Polandbaby16
hmmm well actually i have been eating this one thing for about 2 weeks already every day. So for three months i would eat :chicken, mushroom, and onions and i just mix all of that together and there you go. biggrin.gif

Hmmm...I have a few ideas so I'll post them all:

-Penne (pasta)
-Perrogies
-Jamón Serrano (made by my grandmama)
-Huevos
-Castañas con Leche y Picatostes
-Pretty much any spanish dish prepared by my grandmama! haha
LittleRed7771
Well, I'd have to say spagetti (sp?). I love Italian food. It's my favorite of anything. Years ago, when I was pretty broke, I lived on spagetti for about a year. Well, that and macaroni and cheese! biggrin.gif I never grew tired of it. I lost a lot of weight during that time period, too. Not that I needed to but I did. Hmmm. Now that I think about it, I might want to get back on the spagetti and mac-n-cheese diet!! tongue.gif
white_bumblebee
i love killian's idea on potatoes, you could get so much variation out of it! id prob pick that.... if not weetabix with warm milk and sugar would be a strong contender yum its so nice and mourish, i find it impossible to have just two, i always end up having four! biggrin.gif
dewet_pdw88
Heya

Well I would have to go with Chinese food it has meat, vegetables, grain and fats and there is a variation from ChoMien to noodles to springrolls et.

vballchik1413
Pizza, definitely! It is the most versatile food out there. Dairy, meat, bread, veggies.... and there are all different kinds so you wouldn't always have to eat the same kind. I actually had macaroni and cheese pizza the other day, and it was pretty good!
HRH_Hermione
Sushi! YUM!!! biggrin.gif

I LOVE sushi made w/salmon or eel or crab. I could definately survive 3 months on just sushi and sashimi. (as long as pickled ginger and wasabi were included!)
Accidentprone25
I think I would eat Pizza. Its got most of the food groups down, and its got many choices. Its perfect!
Sabrina_Rose_Snape
Well for me there is only one answer to this question...

Mushrooms!!!
biggrin.gif

I don't know why I love them so much but I do laugh.gif I love the taste, I love the smell, I love them. I could live off them laugh.gif Everytime I go out to eat I look at the menu for the word mushrooms and have whatever that dish is :lo:
HJP/HJG_TrueLove
um an italian spicy subway sandwich (which is with pepporoni and salami) on wheat bread with american chesse, then oil and vinegar, lettuce, a little bit of onion, a little bit of banana pepper, cucumber, and tons of olives as a meal. I love subway had it 3 times in the past week after being deprived of it for 3 weeks! TASTY!!!!!
workaholic_1231
Alright, well I want to say ice cream... but that would probably kill me. lol.

Soo.... I guess I'll go with pizza because if you think about it, most of the food groups are presented. If i wanted them all presented I could get a Hawaiin pizza which has pineapple. *mouth waters*
After the Burial
Just saying pizza is taking the easy way out. If you are going to say that, you need to specify a single type. Otherwise, I am going to say steak. That way I get hundreds of different ways of preparing it. It isn't one type of food.
HPnerd_0512
Vegemite and grilled cheese on toast. Best hangover cure IN THE WORLD and generally delicious at any time of day - breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
Albus Dumbledore
Rice-a-Roni biggrin.gif

For those who don't know what that is, its a cheap seasoned rice and vermicelli mix and my lord, I love it.

I already eat white rice as a snack often, adding my favorite seasonings..

But for three months of one kind of food, I am going to say "Rice-a-Roni with Adobo seasoning by Goya".. oh lordy.. now I want some. biggrin.gif

This thread is making me hungry as well. Guess where I’ll be in an hour… tongue.gif

A White Castle ‘slider’ is my manna. That place is open 24/7 without fail. Kicked out of house for Thanksgiving/Christmas/Easter again? No worries, the WC is open and full of people just like you looking to eat! It’s 2 am and you got a four-hour drive out of town? Hey coffee and a case of the Castle is your best friend, unlike that slug asleep next to you. Bad day at the races? A slider is cheap eats, coffee refills are free and the elderly table warmers will lend a sympathetic ear.

It’s inexpensive, tasty and has kept me cheery despite some brutal events.
Hilly
White Castle isn't exactly my cup of tea... I avoid it whenever possible, but my brothers are simply in love with it and go there quite a bit so I usually just get some fries instead. happy.gif

I'd say Pepperoni Pizza because I don't think I'd ever get tired of it, but I want to be original so I'll say... Cookies!! Or maybe that's just what I'm craving at the moment... No, I think I'm going to go with burritos from Chipotle. I adore that place. Although, I'd get way to fat if I ate there for three months straight, every burrito has like 3,000 calories.... blink.gif They are oh, so delicious though! Or buffalo wings... I like buffalo wings. laugh.gif
Albus Dumbledore
Ughhh White Castle? ph34r.gif I haven't been to a White Castle in years.. since I last lived in New Jersey...

All of their burgers taste like onions... even if you ask for 'no onions'. Perhaps its just the one I went to.. it was down the road from an IHOP, near the Meadowlands.. or was it Hackensack... or Pasaic.. Who knows! Its been a while!!

I used to live in Carlstadt.. PM me if you want to reminisce. lol
Lauren0891
Hmm... probably Italian food... I luuurrrve Italian food, especially pasta! I could live on it for a year never mind 3 months!

If we're talking about specific restaurant's food... probably McDonalds, although I'd get sick of that pretty quickly. Maybe Taco Bell... I miss Taco Bell from when I lived in America... You don't get Taco Bell here in England sad.gif

Sakuya
Man. I'd totally get fat.
I think I'd want to eat Italian food... but does that qualify as fast food? Because I'm talking about restaurant food...

Well. I guess there's in n' out and taco bell. Gah. And Popeyes.
taterchris
I would only eat potatoes with a side of ketchup. I got my nickname, Tater, from eating potatoes. And I'm a ketchup addict!
Lauren0891

I forgot about In n' Out burgers! Man I love those, another restuarant you don't get in England. sad.gif They should open a branch in England, they were like the best burgers ever!
rebel_megz
Now that's easy! One type of food? Edible, I would eat edible food my for my whole life and not just 3 months!!!! Lol, I would chose taco also, they are pretty good, I like the Arby's sandwitches too! Yummm... smile.gif
HPFan792
I guess it would be french fries because all I ever do is eat them.
That is hard though to pick one but, if I could pick another it would probably be some chinese food. I love chinese food.
Jsgirl
I would eat chicken. It's my favorite food. I eat it almost every day. I was going to say cheesecake but I would get tired of it real fast. So I'd have to say chicken. I don't know why it's just good.
keith
I would have to say apples. They're healthy and i cant get tired of them.Plus you could plant a tree if you were stranded somewhere, but besides that apples are the only food i like that i could eat for three months straight and not drop dead.
Ladie Lily Potter
I'm going to have to say any Spanish dish that my grandmama makes. I'm from Spain and lived the first ten years of my life there so ... I'm very much in love with my native foods. I could go without eating a single American greasy food for .... well, forever. Haha. I hate American foods. Not trying to bash anyone or America ... just the food.
Mad-Eye
Id have to say ITALIAN!!!! I love pasta. home made spaghetti is my favorite food. The meats are pretty good to.
#1_pottergrl
I would have to say the cereal Captian Crunch. I love cereal and that's my favorite so its an easy question. However, you can't have a bowl of cereal without milk, and so I would have to demand milk for my cereal. Oh, and it would be the original Captain Crunch, not the peanut butter (my second favorite cereal) or crunch berries kind.
hermione rox
hmmm..
pizza or ribs.
id get really fat.. so then i'd just starve myself then eat again
or just eat barbeque sauce.
man I LOVE barbeque sauce! I would marry it! wub.gif
Well actually I'll marry C.J. hehehee
LovelyLilyPotter
I would have to say pasta or chocolate.
I know that too much choclate is bad for you but oh well!:)
And my favorite pasta is ravioli, love it hehe!

malfoy's_little_weyotch
yep thanks for the replys and i changing mine to potatoes. YUMMALICOUS!!!
No George without Fred
No contest: Chinese crab puffs!!! They are, without a doubt, the best food in the world!!! I wish i could eat them every day but, sadly I can't sad.gif
Mundu
Ahhh... I'll go with the local Indian Takeaway's Butter Chicken (medium heat) with their complementary fluffy basmati rice, a side order of garlic naan bread and my mother's garden salad *goes off in a wistful state*. I'd get sick of it pretty quickly, as I would with everything, but the first few meals would be heaven on earth. They have the best takeaways ever. Never found any that matches them... Are we allowed full meals? If we aren't then I'll go with some form of taco too.
Me_Hermy:1 of the Same
I would have to say Thai food. I just love it and its just so yum! *drools*

Eating only thai food for a month would get expensive but its oh so worth it tongue.gif
Plus I think with thai you have quite a big variety of flavours and its reasonably healthy which is an added bonus.
MoonLight
Fries... My favourite food!
Although I am afraid that I'd never want to eat it again in my whole life.. tongue.gif
Ignatius
I would eat bowlful after bowlful of pasta...mmmmm*slobbers*. It's good because there is so much to have on the pasta (Wait, does that count? Does it have to be the same type of pasta everyday?) and I have never gotten sick of it yet. Fries have a cvertain appeal to them though... huh.gif
harry_potter_luvr_4life
I would have to say that I would want to eat pancakes. I love pancakes. Yum. smile.gif smile.gif
Nymphadora Lupin
Mine would be a big bowl of pasta shells with Stir-in Dolmio Sweet Pepper sauce - that is the nicest sauce in the world... mmmmmmm.

And can I take a drink with me? If so, that would be Appletiser becasue it is just so lusshhhhh.
