I have always been awed by all the potions we see through out our favorite series. I want to know what your favorite potions are. And if you really have an awesome idea for a potion and want it known tell me. Personally i liked The Luck Potion in HPHBP.

Yes the Luck potion is a very good one however i think that the Polyjuice potion (CoS, GoF & HBP) is the best. I would use it all the time on the teachers at school. I also like the veritaserum (truth potion) i could get the meanest teacher to embarrass himself

I guess when you think about it those are all great. Also they dont have any known side effects unlike the Luck Potion.

Its my favourite because i know people that would like give there right arm to have a day of pure luck. Well i would anyway. You could have the most perfect day ever. Although i know it has the side effects if taken to much like arrogance or whatever they were lol, but i think that this potion is a winner!

I like veritaserum because it is sneaky, tell the truth and you cant tell what it is because its clear and odurless etc. You could embarrass mean teachers as well. or bullies.

I would have to agree with both of the potions everyones discussed, the felix felices, and veritaserum. Although I really have a strong preference to veritaserum because there's so many unuseable circumstances with the felix felices that I would barely need it. Plus with veritaserum, I would have to agree that it could come in handy when you've got a bully.
I also think that amortentia is amazing as well. But theres already a thread for that so i wont go into detail

Like everyone else, my favourite potion would undoubtedly be the luck potion; very useful and very lucky.

One of my favorites is Felix Felicis. I love it's physical features and effects.

Another one that interests me is Amortentia. It is a unique potion and it's intriguing to get to know what it smells like for each individual.

Love potion. Come on, you gotta admit it would be usefull! I would use it on Matthew blinking Watkinson so he would fall in love with me!

I would like Veritaserum because I admit I'm a bit of a busy-body! It would be ace!

Potions in general are superb. My favorite is of course felix felicis. A guaranteed perfect day? Why wouldn't you want that? But there are so many other great potions.

I like the Draught of Living Death. It requires responsibility, because it could all too easily be turned into a weapon. I occassionally have troubles sleeping, so sleep potions in general sound pretty nice to me.

The cheering potion Harry made when everyone else was taking their apparition tests was also nice. I wouldn't mind a potion that put me in a good mood when I have had a bad day. It would save me from being a jerk to other people who don't deserve my ire.

Mine would have to be Polyjuice Potion. I would love to be able to step into the life of someone else for a day just to see what it was like. You know, like someone rich and famous or something. Of course I wouldn't want it to be permanent. I love my life. It would just be neat to see how someone else lives.

For three years now I have had a friend who has continously lied to my in the past and I certainly feel that she is doing it again, needless to say I can not trust her anymore and I really need to know if she is lying to me again so the potion that I desire and really want is the Veritaserum potion. If I find out she is lying to me again then I know not to trust her again and she's not worth my freindship anymore. So Veritaserum is my favorite potion because I what it so much to find out the truth. Another favorite potion of mine is the luck potion mainly because I feel I need some more luck

my favorite potion would be the Baruffio's Brain Elixir. it increases brain power. Eddie Carmichael tried to sell a pint of this to ron and harry for 12 galleons when they were revising for their OWLs, claiming that it was entirely responsible for him getting 9 “outstanding” grades the previous year. hermione confiscated the bottle and poured it down the toilet.
this would be my favorite because you could get perfect scores on all tests and go to a good college, get a good job, make lots of money, have a good life.

Um, other than Felix Felicis and all of other famous ones that've been brought up, I think a good one is the Babbling Beverage. Well, it's probably more funny than good. I imagine it's the type of thing Fred and George would sneak into someone's drink...have someone talk nonsense for a couple of hours.

Also, the Euphoria Elixir. That's kind of funny, having someone walk around tweaking people's noises and singing all the time! You know, since those are the side effects.

i like...the lucky one (felix felicis) and also the truth telling one (veritaserum) because they both come in very useful and helpful

I would say that my fave potions are Veritaserum (that would come in real handy with those that are not quite truthful) and I also like polyjuice, I think it would be funny to take a bit of someone that you don't like and use polyjuice, then get into alot of troulbe and blame that person, that would be too funny *teehee*.

Everybody likes the Felix Felicis, but who wouldn't like it? It's literally liquid luck! And the way they describe it in the book is so interesting.

Felix Felicis would prove to be very handy in various situations also Veritaserum is a good one, even if it is an invation of privacy to a certain extent. My favourite would have to be Wolfs Bain because it was benificial for Lupin ( poor soul ) and Snape so kindly brewed it for him during his time at Hogwarts.

My fave potion would definitely be Felix Felicis!! That would be so cool to be totally lucky for one entire day. Everything going your way. Hip Hip Hooray! (Sorry i was on a rhyming streak ) Although, Polyjuice Potion would be very useful. They used it so many times in DH!

all the potions mentioned in the books are cool. i'd love 2 have the love potion so i could use it on crush... robbie. the truth potion 2 find out people's deepest darkest secrets. the polyjuice potion wood b cool... u could use it 2 find out what it's like 2 b some1 else. i wood definitely luv 2 have a little liquid luck at times 2!

I would love to have to try the felix felicis. But then, my favourite would be wolfsbane potion, because it helps maintain sanity to those transforming into werewolves. It would mean a lot of help to those like Lupin.

That's a good point... but my favourite would probably be the Polyjuice potion, as I've always wondered what it would be like to be in somebody else's body, or how people would treat you if they thought you were somebody else.

Veritaserum would also be nice, but given the fact that sodium penthotal is pretty much alike, it's not that magic at all! (It does exist! And it was even in a movie! -Meet the Parents-)

I like potions a lot, but my real favourites are Felix Felicis, Veritaserum and Polijuice Potion. These potions can be very helpful in a lot of situations. I would very much want to try them...

I think Felix Felicus is my favourite potion. I know it can only be used sparingly. But it's such a cool idea have luck. I mean lots of us have stressful days and need a little luck. I'd love to take it and have a great day. Cause obviously great days don't happen often as much as i'd like. But to have a fab day. I just love the idea of that. It was very clever on J.K's part. Oh and obviously Veritaserum.

My favorite potion is amortentia. I would love to carry a vial of it around with me all the time. And no, I would not want to use it on anybody. I simply want the smell.

Imagine you are having a crappy day. What can you do to make it better? Whip out your vial of amortentia and enjoy your three favorite smells in the world. Fall back into blissful memories associated with those smells. And there you have. Instant contentment and a better day.

Anyways, I think I would have to say that my two favorite potions would have to be Wolfsbane and the one Harry and Hermione drank in Sorcerers Stone; you know the one that sent one back and one foward.

I like these because Snape was brilliant enough to concoct and brew them But also how fabulous would it be to be able to be around Remus Lupin without fearing that he would bite you.

The Potions are awesome.

My favorites would probably be, Felix Felicis (obviously), Amortentia, The Poly Juice Potion, and Veritaserum. BUt there's plenty others that fascinate me, like the potion Voldemort made (well really Wormtail) to come back into human form. (GoF) Or the potion Dumbledore had to drink while at the cave searching for the locket Horcrux. (HBP) The Wolfsbane Potion is cool to, when it helps to protect good people like Professor Lupin. There's probably a million more that I'm not thinking of, but you guys will probably mention them.

Obviously Felix Felicis But then another would be Sleekeazy's Hair Potion - which Hermione uses on her hair for the Yule ball - it would be brilliant, as I have naturally wavy hair :D

The Luck potion, Felix Felitics or something, It sounds like a really valuble thing to posses when Harry used it everything went right , how cool would that be!
The love potion- Not that i would ever use it but it is definatley a favorite of mine
Truth serum- Amasing ! im not particularly knowledgable about the various potions and the only real reasons i like them is because they are pretty colours or sound fun to use and im aware thats pretty silly reasons but there you go

MY favorite potion would be a polyjuice potion...
I think it is cool to become someone else and experience how to be like them for a short time.. Veritaserum potion is also cool.. It has the power to reveal the truth.

I really like Veritaserum, and Felix Felicis. The best part about them is that they appear harmless, even inviting; yet they fool you with their looks. They're a pretty cool piece of magical potion and difficult to make...so what's not to like about them.

I like Veritaserum, i think i would use that a lot, because i hate thinking that pepole lied to me and i hate it when people lie to me, and the pollyjuice potion because i think it would be fun to be another person for a while. I also like the concept of the felix felicis potion because it would be very cool to be totally lucky for a day...

I'm not really a lucky person so I would say Felix Felicis. I think every wizard would want to try it at least once in their life. There are many other potions out there and I'll do some reading about them and maybe come here to post again

Well, as most of you lot, I really like veritaserum and Felix Feletics (spelling?) Truth and luck is two of the greatest gifts, so I would definitely put my wote for those. But I also thinks that the Drink of the Living Dead is kind of cool (it is the one that Harry is asked a question about in his very first Potion class)
