I'm thinking, will Scrimgour be assasinated in Book 7? I think that someone at the Ministry will be killed. And we wouldn't be too sad over Scrimgour's death, would we?

I don't see why it's not possible. He's probably the number two guy to kill after harry of course. Maybe they'll use a magic bullet. lol.

It is definitely a possibility that he will be killed. He is definitely a high end target for the dark side below harry of course.

i agree with you..he might get killed by the DE or Voldemort because he is the
Minister of Magic, they might want to get rid of him in the final book..

I see where this theory could come from, as Fudge is gone, now there is a new Minister of Magic. Voldemort will want to rid as many officials as possible to get to Harry. Getting rid of all of Harry protection would be the best way for Voldemort to get anywhere.

I guess, but Scrimgour, (minus his auror training) hasnt played a big role... he is still all abuot politics so idk... but then he may just be a pain and someone may kill him, just like i would want to do to George Bu... Oh nvm, this is harry potter after all

I do reckon he will be killed off. It's dark times now. So Voldemort will be looking for the top job i think he'd value having power as Minister of Magic. So i reckon Scrigemour will be killed. He isn't that exciting really. So of all people i'd want him to die more than the good guys. Because he could hardly be counted as a good guy really.

it is possible. like Seriouslysirius said, voldemort will probably try to become the minister and blackmail him like he did fudge by killing innocent peopole or by just killing scrimgeor. but i dont think their will really be time for that though. sooner or later voldemorts going to find out that people beside him knows about his horcrux's so he's going to have to do something about that plus he still porbably wants to learn the full contents of the prophecy so he might try to figurew out who made it and if snape tells him that trelawney did then he will be trying to capture her. and that brings us back to the debate of whether snape is good or evil.

Well, that's certainly a possibility. I think it is definitely possible that they will attempt to kill him. I don't know that they would succeed with all of his protection, but they can definitely try. If Voldemort wanted him dead bad enough, he could probably manage it. So, I definitely think it's a possibility. Scrimgour does not seem all that powerful (although he does seem better than Fudge, I think) but killing him off would definitely destabalize the magical world. He would be high on their list, unless Voldy wanted to blackmail him or use him for something. I think it would be likely that they would try to put him under the imperius curse because of all that would do. But, they could go for destabalizing instead of just controling Scrimgour.
