Which season are you referring though? I especially like Season 3. They've done a quite-many-time of rerun on that...must be because of the high demand to see those gorgeous twins...

Hmm. . .could you guys tell me what this reality show is about? I've heard of it, and the newest season started in Chicago (in the States). That's about all I know.

It's a treasure hunt-like competition. The game starts with 12 teams of two people in it. And everyone will be given a clue of where to go next to find the next clue (or they use the word 'route marker' in the show).

But the hardest part is, the area included in the route marker hunting is the whole wide world!! Hence the name, amazing race. The interesting part would be the race to get the earliest and shortest flight out. Usually each trip can only fit in 5-6 teams. It'll be really frustrating if they missed it cause usually the next flight can be hours later...and they have to wait for it doing nothing and be left hours behind....

They are other catch as well, like the task they have to accomplished in order to get a route marker. And the 'detour' thingy they have to choose... and the once-in-a-the-whole-game 'fast-forward' thingy they can use to skip all task. In the end, the team who arrive last will be eliminated...

Try and watch it, Joe! And then, tell me if you're hooked!

tallmel, it's pretty popular in the U.S. if that's where you're from. The media plays a huge role and reality shows are a huge phenomenon. I don't know about other countries though.

Four hours a week?? That's all? Lol. Yeah, I remember when I was in school, I get to spend around that amount of time in front of the TV. I even spend less time on TV nowadays... two or three hours a day (excluding news of course!) I'm following 'Alias' and 'Smallville' and that's about it...'Amazing Race' Season 6 has not started yet...

Anyway, on Amazing Race...

It's here in Malaysia all right (and they've been in Malaysia once during Season 3, how I wish I was somewhere around there when they arrived! ). And this channel (AXN, not sure if you've heard of it before though...) is doing many time of re-runs every week, so I get to choose which time suits me best...

season six has started here. the third episode is coming up next tuesday. they went to iceland and are now in...oh shoot, i don't remember, i think it might be Denmark.
in my opinion, i didn't like the people that have been eliminated so far, so i'm glad they're gone. but i'd like to see "blue hair" and his wife go, and lori+bolo, the wrestlers

The Amazing Race is definatly my favorite reality show out there.

zyra your still on the last season? That was a good one, I hated Colin and Christy though, he was just horrible, and I hated that the cousins (mirna and charla?) got eliminated in Eygpt...

I'm not too sure who I like this season (I guess its too early though, isn't it) I thought it was too bad that the 2 guys from Brooklyn got eliminated, they seemed pretty good (thats what they get for choosing the longer activity though!) The other girls from Queens that got out, they just seemed to annoy me though, always trusting people and crying over the stick shift... The wrestlers seems like they'll make it interesting but I don't really want them to win, just stay in for a while. The father and his daughter (Gus and Hera) seem alright and same with the older couple. I hate that yellow-shirt guy though, he yells and complains and screams way too much! And the mormen sisters were just really lucky that that guy showed them around Denmark.

What about that new rule about roadblocks or whatever were each of them can only do 6? I like that one, it stops them from having one person do everything *cough*ColinandChristy*cough*

Ah yes!! I've been meaning to ask about that new rules!! I missed the first two series of Season 5 (the one you're having is Season 6, right?) and when I managed to catch it, I felt really lost!! New rules? And when you don't understand, you lost interest, and when you lost interest, you don't watch it anymore...so, emm... let say I skipped Season 5.

Can anyone explain to me about the new rules though? Cause I really need to understand it in order to enjoy Season 6.

i think the new rule is great. it makes it fair. i mean, you can't have one person doing ALL twelve roadblocks.

there are 12 roadblocks in total. the rule is that each team mate is only allowed to do 6 of the twelve, in order to spilt the tasks fairly.

What about the one from last season where if they are last in a non-elimination round they lose all of their money?
I'm not too sure if I really like it, but it is a nice twist.

yea i don't think that rule was very fair...but it adds a big twist and makes the teams get creative in how they get money after it's been taken away

I'm talking about season 6. But my favourite season was this past one. I was SOOOOOOOOOO Happy when Chip & Kim won!

It does make it a little more exciting to watch (Of course everyone who lost the money then got lucky, the moms were in a tourist place, the twins got by with looks, and the people at the resort who gave Colin and Chirsty money didn't know what a pain they were). But I guess it probably isn't exactly fair.

It is the best show ever!!! I was kinda mad, though that the two sisters didn't make it last night. I wanted that jonathon and victoria to get kicked off. Have you seen Colin and Kristie from last year? Yeah, I thought he was bad! Ohmygod! Colin is nothing compared to Jonathon! Right now, I like Hayden and Aaron.

I hated them also, Colin is really the one at fault though, they were in an abusive relationship (in my opinion)
Johnathon is a jerk. Nothing less, but I have a feeling that they won't last really long. I'm surprised that the onlder couple had made it so far already. Kris (I think that's her name...) is a geography major so that will probably help them, I have a feeling that they will pretty much be a team like Brandon and Nicole were, they aren't extremly nice or horrible, they just play the game and are alright at it.

I was so dissappointed when the sisters didn't make it. I liked them as a team to begin with but over 8 hours and over 100 bails of hay and it was a stupid non-elimination round! That was so annoying!

At the moment I think I like Gus and Hera.

i can tell you this right now...I don't think Jonathan and Victoria's relationship last until the end of the show. He is so short tempered...and he has to stop yelling at Victoria for the smallest things.
On a more bright side, I am also rooting for Hayden and Aaron, and a little for Rebecca and Adam (is that his name, or am i going crazy?!).
But i felt bad for the sisters last night. They were out there for 8 hours! i don't think i could manage 8 hours of hay unrolling.

Nope, Johnathon is not going to last very far at all, he has way too much anger and it just takes to much time to be yelling at your partnew over the small stuff.

Hiya guys!! You know what really suck? The new season had already started and I only realise it tonight... The episode that I watched just now was a re-run from last week. It's the one with the two sisters been eliminated... and I totally agreed with you guys!! I felt really sorry for them! When i saw that the 'Grandparents' (Don and Mary Jean, right?) got the final route marker I was like 'Oh, man!!' and a couple of swearing words I can't put here...

Anyway, I was wondering if any of you guys could tell me what in the world is this 'Yield' thingy... and they don't have any more fast-forward, do they?

Well, tomorrow would be the next episode of the season and I'm not going to miss it!!

A yield is when a team stops another team at a game thing for a set amount of time, even if other pass them. One team can only use it once in the game.

And they do still have the fast forward, it just hasn't been up in the game yet...

Tonight is the next episode (for me) and they are suppose to be in Africa this time...

A Yeild is when you make another team wait for a certain amount of time. They still have Fast forwards. They havent put one in yet.

Alright now... I'm not sure if y'all glad or not when this week happens to be the non-elimination week instead of last week... but truthfully, it's not that I don't like the Grandparents but I prefer the sisters more. You know what I mean, right? Of course, I'm glad that the Grandparents stays but I was a bit gutted that it didn't happen on last week instead... seeing one of them keep trying and not giving up until dark.... man, they would make a really competitive team to the others if they stay, you know!! Pity...pity...

And I thought it was really funny the way Adam struggle to catch up with not one but two women during the roadblock segment. I mean, if he lost it to Lori, well, that's pretty understandable seeing she's a wrestler and has two muscled arms twice of Adams' but to lost it to Kendra?? (it's her, right? Correct me if I'm wrong. It's been two nights since I watched it but I'm pretty sure it was another girl...)

But in the end I really like this show because whenever a team arrived last and eliminated, usually both of them wouldn't blame each other, instead it made them realise how proud they are which each partner. Even if they lost, to me they still win, you know.... to develop such kind of understanding... touching....

Anyway, enough of my babbling... What do you guys think? Which part do you like? Who do you think would win? Who do you mostly like to see out? At this moment... I couldn't stand Jonathan. I haven't seen much of Victoria to say anything... but oh, god! Not Jonathan....

Anyways, I agree with zyra. I mean I am happy that the Grandparents can stay in the race for the time being, but I would preferred if they let the sisters stay in and the Grandparents go. It just doesn't seem fair that she was out past dark unrolling hay and was eliminated and then this week the grandparents just fall behiond withthe fishing but they get to stay in.

I was funny seeeing Adam struggle, I felt sorry for him and all but it was really intertaining. I mean if I were him I wouldn't mind losing to Lori the pro-wreastler but to Kendra the model (she is a model isn't she) I think I would feel pretty bad.

I'm not really sure who I really want to win right now. I really hate Jonathon, I don't know about Victoria since she hasn't had much screen time but Jonathon is just a jerk. He is constantly yelling and has to be in control and do everything, he doesn't trust Victoria enough to even let her ask for directions without going crazy. They just aren't a very good team. Did anyone else notice that when they were in Africa and Jonathon was handing out candy to the kids that he said that he would love to be a father? No offense to him but I'm pretty sure that I wouldn't want him to be my dad...

I think that I like Gus Hera the best at the moment, but I am not quite sure. I think that Kris and Jon will get pretty far because they don't seem to keep stopping and fighting instead they just go straight through. Plus, Kris is a geography major so that must come in handy at some point. I hope the wreastlers stay in for a while because they are just entertaining to watch.

Has anyone seen the newest episode? It was very sweet but I got so mad at the end (and not nessercially because of who got eliminated)

They didn't continue last weeks-- I guess they wanted to wait for the people who'd miss it because of the Holidays. I'm not to sure if its safe to say that Lori and Bolo will be eliminated because my guess is that after the internet cafe thing they will either
*1* go to an airport--and have the same bunched up flight deal or
*2* go to a task that they can't do until morning

Anywho, the unaired footage thing was kinda nice. It made me like Kris and Jon more and Jonathon less. Anything that makes Jonathon look bad is fine with me.

Last night's episode was very interesting, I really want to see what y'all thought and I have a couple of things to complain about but I really don't want to spoil it for anyone, so has everyone seen it??

Also-- I didn't realize this until I was bored and went on one of my random search quests-- after the 'Jonathon Shove' episode Jonathon put an apology on his website (which I don't really want to put a link to because the git shouldn't get any extra attention, but I can post it if someone want to look at it) and about a day-week later Victoria posted assuring everyone that she was fine.

Jonathon blamed his abusive act on a disease, the stress of the game, and the prescription he was taking (for his disease). After seeing some research that someone did on the disease Jonathon claimed to have (with the medicine) it as actually suppose to make him more sensitive and calm--not angry and ready to go at someone.

Interesting, eh?

I missed the episode when it first aired on TV because my aunt have something else to watch at other channel, then I missed the first re-run which was aired at midnight the same day cause there was a black out in my house (it started exactly when the show was on and came back again when the show was over... you have no idea how gutted I was!!), I missed the second re-run because I was out. But finally, I catched it. Just now, early in the morning... had to wake up... from my comfy bed... *yawn* and walked groggily to the living room and stumble on the couch in front of the TV... heh...

Anywho, you guys just won't believe how much I wanted to get into this thread when I see taks posted here. I would have thought taks would revealed the team that was eliminated, but I was wrong... thanks for not spoiling it, taks!!

Anyway, I've seen the previous episode.... that's the first time they're using a fast forward in the episode, aren't they? Wow... and Lori and Bolo get whoop up to the No. 1 spot! I guess it was really lucky for them because I've seen from other episode from other season, a team who manage to complete the fast forward but still ended up last.... well, looks like we're gonna see more of those wrestlers eh...

I'm sure everyone have watched this week episode (since I'm usually missed it and have to wait for the re-run... ), and I'm sure you would agree when I say I was a bit disappointed to see Gus and Hera out. They kind of slowing down at the end of it, didn't they? Like they wouldn't care if they'll continue with the race or not, but seeing Hera cried I'm sure she was disappointed too... that's the hardest part, I think... accepting the fact that you lost... although if you look at it the other way, like developing a deeper affection between you and your father, I would see they have win nonetheless... get what I mean?
