I'm playing the Chamber of Secrets PC game for the first time, as you may have guessed. Hermione has just come up with the idea to make Polyjuice Potion and now I (Harry) am supposed to be stealing ingredients from Snape's private stores. I found some passageway through the Potions classroom that seems to be leading to the private stores, but it's taking quite a while to find anything. Does anybody who has played the game before know approximately how long it should take to get there? (Any Chamber of Secrets cheats would be welcome too! )

Would the PC game be the same as the game console kind (X-Box)? If it is.. I'd be glad to help because I flipped it!!

Hmm... I don't have X-Box so I'm not a hundred percent sure the PC game is the same, but I would guess that it is. Any tips you have would be helpful regardless, and congratulations on beating the game!

well i have this game too well when your finding the thing Hermione needs for the potion well you have to go to werid places just like when your in a class and they make you take a task to get that magic and you have to complete the task before the time runs out it just like that but with out the time i think so i totally forgot i haven't played this game since july. and please forgive me if you can't understand a thing i just said lol

Hey I have the pc game I am stuck at the big abbyss I cast the spell all over the dang tree still no go. Is this becuase this CD did not get that programed in it?

Where can I find a CoS PS2 game? I 've been searching forever and can't find one.

humm I just saw it in my local Wal Mart actually...but I live in Windsor Ontario...so I think that would not be feasable..I would suggest using ebay or an online store like that..you may be able to find something..if you dont want to do that maybe call like a local game store in your area and see if they can special order it for you..

I was bored and so started playing it again the other day.
Firstly, after I found Ginny at the burrow the game skipped to at Hogwarts - I didn't go to Diagon Alley, drive teh car or defeat the whomping willow. Did this happen to anyone else?
And now I'm at the point where you have to get to the DADA lesson before the time runs out. But I just can't do it - does anyone know anycheats?

the best place to go to for any cheat or faq for a game no matter what consule, is: http://wwww.ign.com this is the best site to go to!! first click on the faq button near the bottom of the scoll thingy on the left, then go to the right side, you will see some bluish boxes, go to the pc one, then go to <see all> this will talk you to the A-Z menu of the pc games, just select "h" then, you will see a bunch of game names, go to harry potter and the chamber of secrets. this will take you to a list of a few faq posters. click on the most updated one there is and it will take you to the faqs for your game. this is where you can decide where you are in the game and scroll to what part and read, that is all you have to do, happy gaming!!


this is odd, you should have gone through those parts, for one, there is alot of wizards cards in diagon alley and the whopping willow levels. check your game, make sure it isnt scatched then, if it isnt then run some warm water over the readable part of the disc. then wipe dry with some gauze, and buff with a soft felt cloth or some kind of terryclothed towell. then put the game in the system and try again. never clean any cd dvd, or game disc with a circular motion, this will scratch the readable part and then the game will be ruined and you would have to buy a whole new one!! wait are you playing SS for ps1, or CoS?

hi ive got cos on ps1 and just after they decide to make polyjuice potion it freezes and you cant get any further anyone else got a similar problem?? its really bugging me that i cant finish it because loads of people have finished the 4th. and i havent even finished the 2nd!

Just keep going where it takes you, is all that I can say. It leads you to very weird and confusing places but you just keep going the way that it tells you to go. The weirdest ingredent to get is the piece of Goyle. It's really hard and confusing to get that! It's really weird the way that it leads you. It makes you follow a trail of chicken. Well, good luck! (You might need it! )

ive completed the 2nd game on ps2 but i cant seem to find the potion jar that i am asked to find by a boy standing in flying courtyard anyone know where i can find ive been looking for it for ages and its really starting to annoy me thanx

Does anyone know how to defeat the Basilisk on the PC game? Whenever I swing the sword, it never chops the Basilisk or comes near it. Please help!

man i beat the CoS PC game the day i got it not bein rude to anyone who cant but that was like the easyest game eva, and yea that way does lead to the private stores so just keep going

o and chhermione u dont swish the sword at the basilisk to kill it they'res like a magicball that forms when u hold down the mouse then u gotta realease it at the basilisk.

Okay, this is sad, but on my PC game I'm at the part where Harry is at Aargon, the giant spider, and once I get him down from his web... thing... he kills me, really easily... I'm not sure if there really is any advice anyone can give me... just thought I'd put it out there...

The way i did it was keep walking around, and when aragog charges twords you, movew out of the way. Make sure to keep an eye on him for when he stands up so you can use Incendio.

I just beat the basilisk, and im trying to get more house points by helping people out on the grounds. This one guy wants me to find Mandrake Roots but i dont know where to find them. Anyone know where?

I have CoS on PS2, and I can't defeat the bookcase after getting Hogwarts: A History for Hermione. Anybody willing to help? :S

If the manual is for the PC then yes you would have to get another one each PC game has a unique code to it...

Does anyone know where to get the Chamber of Secrets game? I have a copy, but it won't install onto my computer & I'd like to play it again! If you know where I could get another copy, that'd be great!

Alicia I'd look on either Amazon for PC or if you have Play Station or another game console like that you can always try used games stores like EB Games or Game Stop. I've seen a ton of games at stores like that. You could probably Google it and maybe come up with something too.

Although if you have a new computer with Vista the game might not work. We just got Vista a couple months ago and we're having a lot of trouble putting games on. If that's the case you could always look at the website for whoever made the game and see if they have some sort of patch.

I REALLY need help!

I'm almost finished with the game on the PC. I've gotten every card without paying, done the Gryffindor Challenge Room, and found ALMOST all the secrets, except one.

I know in the second half of the Chamber of Secrets there's 4 secrets to find. I can only find 3/4. I've gone to many different guides to find out where the one I'm missing is, but to no avail.

Does ANYONE know where the 4th secret is so I can finish this game?!
