Hey everyone! I was just wondering who here is planning to go to the Midnight Premiere of OOTP? If so, are you planning to dress up as a character?

Me? I'm definitely going! I went last year and it was crazy. I got there at 10pm thinking it would be okay but they had already let 400 people inside so finding two seats together was a real task. This time I'm going at 4pm and camping out. I'm bringing my laptop so we (my friends and I) can watch GoF while we wait. We're also dressing up: Piper is Madame Maxime (b/c Piper is like 6'4" lol), her friend (dunno her name) is going as Professor Sprout and I'm going as my own version of Hermione. I'm gonna get the black tank top with the cast of OOTP from Hot Topic (or maybe the new Ron one they have). I think I'll wear it with a plaid skirt (with red in it for Gryffindor), black leggings and my black/white skull Airwalk's. Oh and I shan't forget my trusty wand

Hey, I am definitely going to the midnight showing of OotP, and I believe they moved up 2 days to the 11th. Even if they do with OotP like they did with Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End and start it at 8 PM, I'm still attending the midnight because there would be less annoying kids there. It seriously looks like it is going to be the best movie yet!

I'm definately going to the midnight premier, but I'm going on the July 13th date, I did not realize they bumped the date up 2 days to the 11th till yesterday and since I'm working on the 11th I'm going on the 13th. But I am going to the Midnight Madness Party on July 20th for the Deathly Hallows book! Can't wait drink butterbeer all night and talk about HP till the early morning hours.

Unfortunately, I won't be going to the midnight release
I just found out that I will be out of town during that time, which really disappointed me. Me, my brother, my sister, and my brother's girlfriend were all going to go and dress up and everything, we had it all planned out. Then I found out...But I will most definitely be seeing it the minute I come back in town, whether I have to go by myself or drag someone else with me. And of course, there's still the Deathly Hallows release to look forward too.

I feel incredibly lucky! I am going to the 12:01 showing of OOTP and will get there EXTREMELY early, so as to get great seats. I will, of course, dress up in full HP gear (although I might bring a bag and change there, because I'm going out to dinner beforehand). I am the only of my friends going, and as they don't read the books, I will be able to hold my seeing it first over their heads! *Manaical laugh* I'm just kidding about the whole friend thing holding it over their heads.

I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'M SO EXITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm going to the Midnight showing at 1201 on the 11th. I get to see it on the IMAX. My local HP Meetup group are all going early to sit in line. We will our HP Trading cards and other fun stuff to keep ourselves busy. The news will probally be there. And of course i will be decked out in Hogwarts uniform!

I will also be attending the Midnight Premiere at the local movie theater. My friend and I, and her sister, are all dressing up for the occasion so expect to see some pictures posted thereafter in the "What do you look like" thread! I am very excited, naturally, and I have my tickets tucked away safely.. in my safe!

I wish I could go to the midnight premiere,but since my older sister has to wait one more year to drive my parents won't let me.I have a feeling that maybe for the sixth movie I'll go to the midnight premiere.I'm the only one out of my friends who reads the books,but my best friend goes and watches the movies with me.

Hey Albus nice chatting with you again! We're going about 7ish. Last year we went around 10 and got bad seats. well not bad seats theres no bad seating in stadium style seating( except for the very front) but in an IMAX theatre you need to be at the very top. I cant wait to get dressed up!!!!! i have robes, skirt, vest, tie, the hol kit and kabuttle! hey i posted a theory about Lupin over in MOOOP, that i would like your thoughts on by the way. Anyway less than a week!!!!!!!!

I am going to the OOTP midnight movie premiere, but not a really big one, i am going to an Imax theater. Its gonna be me and my friend, i am dressing up as Fleur Delacour (i know she has nothing to do with the 5th movie, but o well) and my friend is going as ginny weasley. We are gonna get there at 4 or 5 o' clock, and we are gonna be on veritaserum(hehe) until they let us in. Any other tips for going to a midnight premeire? should i get there earlier?

We're not going till about 7ish, but the time is something you need to judge for your area. At our theatre they have a huge party and giveaways and the local news channels and papers are always there. I posed for many a pictures when GoF came out. So the only advice is take a buddy, take a deck of cards, and have fun!!

I'm totally going - I've had my ticket for two weeks! Originally I was just going to dress up as a student but when I saw that picture of Tonks and how great she looked all duded up and that she had shoulder length hair I decided to be her. If you google "Tonks Harry Potter 5" under pictures you'll see. I'm dressing up fairly close to that. My friend is taking my student costume and she made a badge that said S.P.E.W. on it to be Hermione - she has really curly brown hair. It's going to be a blast! And thanks to whoever said they were going to bring a laptop and watch Goblet of Fire - we're taking a DVD player and doing the same.

I'm not going to the midnight showing although I did dress up for our employee showing last night as Cho Chang. I took pictures and all. once they're developed i'll let you guys see them, if you want. but anyways, i hope you guys have fun. my theater already sold 400+ tickets by the end of last night's business so yeah...that's going to be fun o.O!!! i'm sooooooo glad i don't work tonight lmao!

I'm not dressing up as anyone. I'm just gunna wear my Harry shirt and my pj bottoms. I have to get up early and go to work and I'm going to a Potter Party right after so it's like, I'll prolly only get two hours of sleep before I have to go to work. Plus it's raining. I don't want to freeze.

I'm so excited.

My mom pre ordered the tickets so we could get there. The were already sold out in the thearter in our town so we went to it in anouther town. We got there at like 5:00 am and shopped. It was boring though cause this mall was so small. So me and my friend were sitting in CVS reading magizines for a long time! After that we went out to eat and then came back to the thearter. I lost my glasses so we wanted to sit in the front. WE WERE FIRST IN LINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOOOOO HOOOOOOO! lol. It was just really cool, being the first ones there. We had to wait like 45 minutes before we could go in. Then we had to wait like an hour and a half before we actually saw the movie. I brought some magiznes (me and my friend ended up buying the ones in CVS), and two Harry Potter books, (the fifth and the sixth). I kinda dressed up. I went as Hermione. We only had one cape so I let my friend use it. I wore a pink sweater like the one in POA that she wore and capris. My hair was messy too. My friend went as Ron. He even had the rat, (with the missing toe!!!!!!!! I helped him rip it off!) My mom fell asleep, my aunt didn't though and that was the first full Harry Potter movie she's seen! THE END!!!!
