Hey I noticed some of you missed the Daniel Radcliffe interview when he was on Friday Night With Jonathan Ross the last time, so I’m just letting you know that JK Rowling will be on the show this Friday, in a rare television interview. Given the comedy and laid-back interview style of the show, it should be a must see, I don’t think I’ve seen a JK interview in that type of setting!

Check your tv guide, I think it’s on at like 11pm so watch it or set your Sky+ or recorder or whatever lol.

I managed to cacth this one, thanks Killian!

Did anyone else? Did you get any clues from what she said?

I found it interesting that she said, and I'm paraphrasing here,'I have finshed Harry's story off well' or something like that, then when she was asked about writing any more Harry Potter books she said something alomg the lines of ' Never say never, I may write another book about that world'. Note how she didn't say about Harry, but about that world.. How do you read into that? I thought straight away, she's telling us that she's killed HArry off especially when she said she cried buckets after finishing one of the last chapters. She said she cried so much she drank a mini bar bottle of champagne down in one!! lol!

Ofcourse, then she mentioned that Scar is no longer the last word in HPDH....what is it I wonder....13 days to go!! This tim in 2 weeks I will have probably finished the book!

I caught it!
My Dad said to me "who would be the best possible person to be on Jonathan Ross tonight?" and I said JKR straight away! biggrin.gif
I thought it was great! I love how calm she is and it's amazing how she thinks so carefully before she says anything just as etphonehome says!

I picked up on that too! My Dad said "that must mean he doesn't die, if she might write more books" but my mum and I thought, well, it could be some sort of 'following the life of ....' (any character).
Or more charity books which would be awsome!

I don't know about the bit where JKR cried. I've always had this incling that Harry will live, but I don't know why- just an incling. And I've always thought that Ron would die sad.gif Again, I don't know why.
But then again, it could be Hermione! JKR always says she was so similar to Hermione so maybe killing her off was difficult?

But i'm sure all JKR's words were so carefully chosen and there's probably not much to read into as she would have made sure so. Then again, it certainly gives us more to ponder about! smile.gif

I think Harry will die after hearing the interview.

She said: "I think Harry's story will come to a very conclusive end in this book" and "I may return to that world (apposed to Harry) in the future". I think that the Wizarding World will survive, and Voldemort will be defeated, but Harry will give up his life for it to happen.

Until I saw the interview I thought, 'No way would she kill Harry, he is too important.' But after I saw it, I thought she totally did him in. I really don't want to read the book if he dies.

I've got mixed feelings about it. I saw the interview too and was very shocked when she mentioned the 'clear end' and that she can write more about that 'world'. First I thought Harry will die after she mentioned that. It was clear to me after that. But then again I think Jo is not the kind of person to say things that makes us all conclude the same (Harry will die) by accident. So maybe she wants us all to think that. But maybe this thought just comes from me not wanting him to die. What do you think?

I was also shocked that more than two people will die.

I am very excited.

That's what I think. I think JKR has had too much experience at keeping her book secrets secret to give something away like that. I think she chose her words extremely carefully.

If she'd said "i might write more about Harry..." it would be almost certain he lived! By saying "about that world" she leaves it open. It could be the world with Harry in it OR not in it. It's the only way she could say what she meant without letting people know whether he lives or dies.

Let's face it. Whether Harry lives or dies is probably the most anticipated answer for Deathly Hallows. JKR would never blow it by being uncareful wth her words.
