Full Version: How Often Do You Check Your E-mail?
I always forget to check my home email. I just never think about it. Like you said DeSs, if you get a PM, you see it on VTM which I also check first. Now my work email account, I have to check many times throughout the day. I'm always receiving something important. Especially if its something from a parent. hehe...
I usually check it like once a day or once every other day. I'm horribly inconsistent in practically all aspects of my life, so sometimes there's a bigger gap than other times. When I get super bored, though, I'll check my e-mail like six or seven times in two hours, just to see if there's someone on to talk to.
Actually for me it's sort of hard in away to check it out everyday becuase I have 3 emails. I have one that is used so my mom and grandma can keep in touch with family in Cuba. Then there's the one that I have for stuff I sign up on the internet then there's another that I use for pictures. Now I came to realize that when I went to pre order Breaking Dawn the other day I was asked for my email, I wasn't sure which to give. So I gave the one that keeps in touch with family. So now I have to make a fourth email which I am able to give out to people. *sigh* technology.
I have to check my e-mail almost everyday. Along with having a college e-mail address, I have a personal address and well, those darn personal addresses get so much spam. And I hate having stuff I don't need so I'm constantly cleaning it out and I never know if something important is going to college address so I'm supposed to check that often. I used to never check my e-mail though.

I hardly ever really check my mail, usually I just look at the subject title and that tells me what I need to know. So right now I have a thousand so emails most of them are notifications for Myspace, Facebook, and YouTube comments.
Haha, me too! I hardley ever check my e-mail but when I do I have like 256 notifications from Facebook and Youtube (I don't have a myspace). None of my friends e-mail me so I don't have to check as often as I have before. If we want to talk to each other it's either over the phone or on Facebook. The only person who e-mails me is my dad, and that's once every blue moon.
I check my e-mails everyday, even though I hardly get mail. I get a lot of notifications from VTm for stuff, and my friends will e-mail me every so often. It's kind of just a habit for me to check my e-mails because I go on my computer everyday, so I have time. It's never anything important though.

Oh good god, I check my e-mail maybe six ... billion times a day. I'm a huge livejournal addict, so I check it maybe ten times for comments and updates from my flist. I have a few long distance friends, so I check for that. I check for alerts that I have feedback on my fic here "Dear Snape", I keep in touch with my English teacher all summer, I get Harry Potter updates from Mugglnet.com, Evanescence updates, and Red Sox reports .. Whew. But yes, basically my e-mail is my support, and without it I most likely wouldn't know what's going on in the world

Ahhhh, the old e-mail checking thread. Every forum has to have one 
I check mine on average about 50 times a day. Obsessive much? lol. I love gettng e-mail. Makes me feel very important. I used to check them ALOT more than I do now, but lately I've had to dial it down because school work and work keeps getting in the way.

Hmmm... probably like 2 or 3 times a week... unless i'm waiting for something! Then i'll check it like one or twice every hourr
I actually just checked my email... the current count of unread emails is 5, 926. Most of them are notifications from facebook. Some of them are for colleges, some for youtube, and if you go back about a 1000 messages in you'll find ones from myspace before I deleted it. All I ever do is check the subject title... I usually get on facebook first thing so it's kinda useless to pay attention to the facebook notifications because I usually had seen them several times before I checked my email. If anything I look at the subject title of the email and that's all.
I check my email every day! I usually have about 100 from friends... I use my other email for the notifications from facebook and stuff like that. I really need to email my friends back... but there is just so many emails!
I check my e-mail every day. I need to do it for notifications from fb and bebo and stuff like that. I hate leaving it without checking because afterwards you have about 70-ish emails you have to check...Just waiting there.
Yea, I normally don't like checking my e-mail because I don't write to anyone and no one writes to me. It's all about these social networking sites now like Facebook and Twitter. The only time though that I do check my e-mail are when I signed up for things and I need to login my account OR the main reason of course is COLLEGE! I'm constantly recieving messages from universities, scholarships and since I do put myself on their mailing list, I recieve updates from them. Overall, though I don't use it anymore for keeping in touch, it still holds information that I can't get anywhere else.

I check mine at least once a day. If I don't my e-mail box will be overloaded with junk mail and it takes forever to clean it out! If I'm waiting for something important then I'll check my e-mail constantly until I get what I'm waiting for.

I used to NEVER check it. But now I'm constantly checking it. There's actually another reason I'm asking. My friend and I e-mailed a long lost friend the other day. My friend e-mailed this long lost friend and signed it from the both of us. She wrote back saying she'd love to hear from the both of us anytime. She took 5 days to respond to his e-mail. Two days after that *I* e-mailed her from my own e-mail address. But a little more than a week has gone by and she hasn't answered. I guess maybe she was just being polite and she only wanted to hear from him and not me
oh well...maybe she hasn't checked it yet? I doubt it though it's been more than a week. Everyone checks their e-mail more than just once a week right?Hahaha I don't even use my email for some reason!
Because I just don't like the status of being "online" & others reading it...it kinda creeps me out...I don't know. I have weird problems with emails and all that as of late. 
I have to check my email every day; I never get Spam and its not connected to Facebook or Twitter, but I have correspondences from Lecturers/Parliamentarians/Liberal party members every day. Can't afford to miss a day or I would be severely disadvantaged. It's just part of my morning routine these days. So... yeah...
I check mine a least once a day. I only read the ones from friends, whereas for the rest (subscriptions/newsletters), I just read the title to see what it's about.... but the downside is that TONS of newsletters/subscriptions are left unread. (the current amount is 315).

I check my e-mail everytime I receive one mail, but that doesn't happen too often. I use instant messenger to talk with people on-line. My e-mails usually consist in newsletters and I receive them everyday (I have accounts on many sites and forums).
