I looked through the forums, and if I repeated a topic, I'm sorry.

So, after Harry's 17th birthday, will Voldy pay the Dursley's a surprise visit? Dumbledore even said that after his 17th birthday, his mother's protection wouldn't work against Voldy anymore. If Voldy knows this, will he visit the Dursley's personally? Or will he attack Harry while Harry's horcrux hunting? I have a feeling, for the sake of book length, that Harry will have left by the time Voldy comes. Then Voldy will murder the Dursley's because they have no info about Harry's whereabouts. Or something like that blink.gif

Let me know what you think!

Hmm... Well, i remember that Dumbledore said that he put a charm on the Dursley's house so as long as the underage Harry can call that place home, he has some protection over him. That would mean that after Harry turns 17 the protection will be off. If Voldemort knows that, I doubt it that he's going to visit the Dursleys b/c they will be useless. I also don't think that Voldemort will go personally looking for Harry. He'll just tell one of the Death Eaters to deliver Harry to him, right? SO maybe - justr maybe - not Voldemort will visit the Dursleys, but one of the Death Eaters will? And yes it is possible that Voldemort (or the Death Eaters) will try to attack Harry while he's looking for horcuxes. Knowing JK Rowling, anything is possible smile.gif

Thanks for the reminder biggrin.gif I apreciate it! You're right, Voldemort will probably send a Death Eater to the Dursleys to get Harry to not risk exposure.

Thanks again ana123!

well as much as i also dont think that voldy himself will go looking for harry or go to the dursleys i think that it would be nice if he did. it would kind of give the dursleys a real taste of exactly what harry has to live with , whta he is going through and what he has to face. it would would be a good wake up call ( not that it would matter harry doeasnt need them to feal sorry for him) but its a good tought anyways!!

I don't know if the Dursley's would be seen as important enough to Harry for Voldy to try and use them to get to Harry.

If Voldy has been breaking into Harry's mind through legilimancy, then he surely could have seen that they are not people Harry would really care enough about. Not like Sirius or Ron or Hermione would be.

also harry is with them so little i doubt that LV even knows about the dursleys. also harrys stay will be really short because he is only going because of what DD said. and the durslys will have no idea of where harry is going so LV will just be wasting his time

I think that would be a brilliant part of the book if J.K. put it in Deathly Hallows. I don't think she will though, i think in the book Harry might have nightmares over this thought though huh.gif

I don't think Lord Voldemort would find any use of going to the Dursleys', even if he wanted to make Harry go somewhere - as he did in OotP- I hardly believe that Voldemort would use one of the Dursleys or that Harry would care...because we know he's going until his 17th birthday just because Dumbledore asked him to.

I think that LV won't harm the Dursleys, however, I believe that in order to protect Harry and the Dursleys, the Order will come and remove ALL of them before Harry's protection is over. Picture that, the Dursleys staying with a bunch of Wizards!! Maybe it is even possible that Dudley will thank Harry for saving him from the Dementors....

I think killing off the Dursleys would actually be a good but scary touch to the book. It would show now Voldemort is stronger than ever before and will stop at nothing to kill Harry. Well done on thinking this idea up, taterchris. I can generally see this happening well read it happening. But we have 3 days untill we find out.
