so yeah, I was on the site today, reading what precautions they are taking to help preserve the ending of the series for us, and I thought, they (the moderators) have worked really hard on helping us be able to be here, sharing our thoughts and ideas on how it will all end. giving us a place to chat and theorize about what we all think will happen. So I just thought that it would be nice for them to know how much we all appreciate them and all that they have helped provide us with over the years. so to everyone that works at Veritaserum.com, thanks for everything. its been quite a ride. if you feel this way to, let em know.

The moderators and any and all who have worked on this site are truly in my debt; this web site has been a tremendous part of the whole Harry Potter experience, and I appreciate the professionalism and dedication of all who worked tirelessly for our benefit. This has been part of a remarkable social event which will be looked at in history as we look now at authors like Mark Twain and Charles Dickens and their devoted readers. Thank you so much.

I thank VTM for this, because it would be the most disappointing thing for me if I was to find out the ending before reading DH. It also means a lot to me that not only the Mods, but also the members are considerate enough to not spoil the final Harry Potter novel for all us fans.

I have to say that I completely agree with all of you.
The moderators have done a really outstanding job running the site, and also keeping it spoiler free -which is a very hard thing to do- for us to continue theorizing, sharing our views about what will come next, and how the series will end.
I have nothing else left to say but to thank everybody who runs the site, and thank you Infamous_Hat also for your great idea!!!

Sorry I've had to disable the siggies and avatars, but they were the biggest spoilers last year and the hardest to control, and seeing as how the site is beginning to get a little slow, I think we can do without them for the moment. I'll turn them back on in a couple of weeks.

We're going to continue to try our best to keep VTM completely spoiler free over the next day or so, but please don't forget that we will be closing at 9AM GMT on Friday morning so that we can all enjoy the book and we won't be open again until Monday at about the same time.

In the meantime, etphonehome's just pointed out that JKR has updated her website telling everyone to be cautious about the "misinformation" on the internet and in the media. You can read it for yourselves here.

Well, I'd like to jump on the band wagon as well and say "Thanks" to all of the Admins, Mods, and Head Aurors that make this site possible. I've really enjoyed my time here theorizing back and forth with my fellow HP fans. I've checked other sites before and I think VTM is by far the best! You guys have done a terrific job at making that possible. Keep up the great work!

yeah i totally agree, honestly they must have worked hard and put it alot of money and effort just for us fans, and all for free, honestly you guys well done, you should feel immensly proud and happy

I'd like to offer my thanks as well. It's nice to see so much dedication in preventing spoilers for everyone on this site. The hours the admin, and staff work each day to insure us members can theorize and chat in a safe spoiler free inviroment. The turing off of signitures, avatars, chat room, and forums is an excellent idea, and whilas others may be dissapointed I think (and hope others agree) it's all for the best. And while I'm on this topic... I'd like to encourage everyone to turn off their cellphone, plug out the tv, and tell someone to hide your keyboard and mouse for a day to decrease any chance of spoilers.
