If/When you have children, would you ever name them after a character/s from Harry Potter, not necessarily because they look or act like them, but maybe just because you like the name?

I've always wanted to name my daughter 'Hermione', not because I love Hermione (which I do), but because I also love the name. And apparently, many people think the same thing, so I have a theory that there'll be a generation of Hermiones, you know, the daughters of the fans? But that will only happen if I live somewhere where they speak English or can pronounce the name correctly at least, if I live here in Ecuador when older, my daughter will probably end up being Belen, Julieta or Victoria.

I've already said on this thread that I want to name a daughter Hermione. Partly because of Harry Potter and partly because of Shakespeare. Because there's a "Hermione" in a Winter's Tale, and if I have another daughter, I'll name her Cordelia, which is a character from Shakespeare, as well as Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

I know, my dreams never make sense. I had a HG-ish related dream once. Harry, Ron and Hermione were trying to rob a museum because Voldemort was attacking it (riiiight), and they had a bag of wands, because they kept breaking. One of the dinosaur bone thing came to life, and then Ginny just turned up from no where. Harry disappeared off with her, leaving me, Ron and Hermione to save the day. We found Harry and Ginny later on getting married in Hawaii.

I think that Harry maybe able to make up with Dudley, most assuredly as scene in DH, and probably his aunt if she's ever able to come to terms with how she felt about her sister, but I don't see him ever making up with Mr. Dursely.
I think that Ginny would feel the same way towards them that Dumbledore and her parents do, that they are the people who made 10 years of Harry's life miserable. I think it would take a lot for Ginny to want to go and visit them.
DeSs, I like Lysander as well. I also have James as one of my names, but that's only because it's my favorite boy's name, and not because of Harry Potter. If I have a child who’s a boy, I'll name him James Robert. I like it a lot because you can tack on any last name and it has a nice ring to it. Just try it. William is my back up name. William Antony, like Marc Antony. I like that name a lot too.
And yay for you, writing H/G. I tried once, and I'm not sure how well I did, I just modeled them after Buffy and Angel.

Umm, I can picture him running into them someday. I can also picture them staring at Ginny like she doesn't belong there, and Ginny being all like 'err...' I guess because she's another one of those 'freaks'. OH! IDEA!! AHH! Okay. I think Petunia would go insane because she'd be reminded of Lily/James. Don't we all get confused by the fanart, because Harry looks just like James and Ginny, well, has red hair? I dunno. I can just see Petunia turning vernon-purple.

I think Ginny would understand because after all, Petunia and Dudley are Harry's family. Ginny knows about forgiving one's family (I mean Percy) so I think she would encourage Harry to keep in touch from time to time with them. It'd be awkward, and I'm sure they'd stare at Ginny and the kids as if they were freaks, but at least Harry would try to give them a chance, even though they were so horrible.

Ooh, I've had really weird dreams. Once I dreamed I was watching HBP, and it sucked; Ginny wasn't even in it! When the movie ended I was really, really shocked, since the only thing that had happened was the cave scene, that was it. Phew, so happy it was just a dream!

DeSs, the movie in my dream was too horrible. It consisted of two scenes: one, Harry talking to Ron and Hermione about the HBP book for about five minutes, and then the Cave scene with Dumbledore, which was missing a lot actually. And yeah, that was it. I'm always the positive one after a Harry Potter movie, while all my friends whine about how some things were left out (and some of them aren't even important sometimes sorry, nitpickers annoy me a little) But when I got out of this movie, I hesitantly said "It was...good..." but after a second I couldn't hold it anymore and started saying how horribly it sucked until I thankfully woke up and realized it was a dream

I believe my names for Harry's children were very embaressing flower names (I believe Daphnne was one) and they had a son called Andy i believe. I quickly dismissed them, though. (It's funny, i nicknamed Ron and Hermione's daughter "Rosie", short for "Rosemary". I wasn't far off, was i?).

Cristi, I've had dreams/nightmares like that too! Where you think that they're real for about a whole 30 seconds after you wake up. Like you dream you're late for work, or your dog died, or a family member had their credit card stolen. Where they're not the biggest tradigies in the world, but it would s*ck if it did happen, and it's not a getting attacked by aliens, so the dream could be real. But don't worry honey, you're dream isn't real .
And I hate nick-pickers too. I can't stand people who seem to just complain about the movies. It's like "if you don't like them, and know you won't, then why did you even watch it in the first place?" I think they actually like complaining about them. The movies aren't the books, get over it.
DeSs, "Spuffy" comes from Buffy the Vampire Slayer fandom. It's the names Spike and Buffy smushed together, I think I might also think the name is extra stupid because I used to be a big anti-Spike/Buffy fan, but now their relationship doesn't bother me as much. But I'll still be a Buffy/Angel shipper till I'm old, gray, and can't find the glasses that are on my head.
I really think that Ginny will be all against the Dursleys, and not even bothering to tell Harry to make amends with them, but I think that Mrs. Weasley will talk to her about it, then Ginny will encourage Harry. I can't see Ginny on her own telling Harry to make up with them. Not until she grows up a bit more, anyway.

They introduced me into the Harry Potter world! And when people always post on comment boards "OMG they changed that!! This movie is going to suck!" I think "did she actually think the movie would be just like the book this time?" and the one that kills me is "Harry's eyes are not GREEN yet!" ... Why can't Lily's eyes be blue so we can all get over it?

I really like the movies, even though they chnage them. The only way i'd get reeeally mad, is if they chnaged something drastic, like having no battle in the Astornomy tower, and having Malfoy kill Dumbledore, not Snape or something. Or if they chnaged Harry and Ginny's relationship, so that they were together straight away and broke up in some complete weep-fest worthy of a soap-opera.

I certainly hope there will be Dean/Ginny in HBP. It's Harry seeing Ginny going out with someone first hand that makes him recognise his feelings, after all. I wonder if that scene will be in the movie? It'd be so great to see Rupert and Bonnie screaming at each other, with Dan in the background going "... uhhhhh ... Ginny ... Dean ... must kill ..."

I know what you mean, but if a HP film is longer then i would ever so willingly sit and watch it right till the very end! It is just one of them things with me if love the film i will sit and watch it for how ever long i have to.

Oh did anyone see the olympic closing ceremony? i thought it was excellent i watched it all and my favourite bit was, as i am a devoted Brit/londoner, the 8 minutes dedicated to london 2012. It was amazing and Becks and Leona Lewis were brilliant.

Yeah, I would sit through it too, but I would still think it's annoying that its so long, not matter how much I love it.
I don't care about the Olympics, for the most part. I'm just not big about sports and stuff. Though for men's swim racing there was this Japanese guy who was cool to watch cause he was like a machine, how he bobed up and down, it was like you could set your watch to him.
Moon, I don't think that they'll change the movie that much. And it will be awesome to watch Bonnie and Rupert yell at each other.

I have a friend who loves Paramore..she kind of shoves Paramore down my throat all day long, but they're cool, so it doesn't bother me... much.

Well and the movie makers have to think about the normal people who go see the movies too. By normal people I mean, people that are not fans but enjoy HP even so, for example, most of my friends, my sister.

I was the one who felt dissapointed of Harry having blue eyes, but now I'm not that dumb as to say "Will he change them or not?!" That'd be ridiculous, at this time! And I do get dissapointed when I first watch the movies, about certain things, but then I think "What the heck, it's amazing!" GoF kind of dissapointed me, but the Yule Ball made my life, and the tasks weren't that bad (I just wanted to see magical creatures, but )

I always get into weird webpages and find the weirdest stuff out there...but this script looked pretty official because that same person posted the script of the Burrow attack before WB confirmed there was actually going to be a scene like that. The person even has pictures of the script, and it is very official looking...he posted some scripts from Ootp too, even though that was after Ootp was out, it included some scenes that had been written out from the movie. DeSs, just about all my professors from my old school simpsonized themselves. My history professor really looked like his Simpsons character. My political science professor, Professor Foy, he was awesome, had his picture put on a mug. But he really loves the Simpsons, he wrote a book about how politics are satirized in the series. Which is something I've noted of late, I thought the movie was especially political. The dead have risen, and they're voting Republican!
And I never believe the tabloids, I can't see how people can half the time. Who's this, a tabloid? One of those really strong mints?

I also love when Homer was working at the Quicky Mart and Apu told Homer go change the expiration dates on the dairy products. I don't know, my quoting of the Simpsons is really situational. Like when my cousin and I went to a Japanese restaurant I quoted the episode when they went to go have sushi. I love Marge and the waiter, when she said what would you suggest for a family who's not sure they should be here. And he answers, the sample platter, it has a little bit of everything. It is very non-threatening. And you know that episode where we see Homer's face is a logo for that Japanese cleaning product, Mr. Sparkle. It will banish dirt to the land of wind and ghosts.

We were so right about the room of requirement being the Almost-kiss, well it is in fact the kiss! I think it is quite clever how she hides the book for him, then just kisses him, but Harry is supposed to be the one to make the move, not Ginny, i'm still delighted about it. I read that review too, and I'm delighted by it. It sounds like they tried for reals to make the book like the movie, verse an interpretation of the book, like with PoA. For this I'm wicked glad because HBP is my favorite book, so it'll be awesome!

Now i have found a picture of Bonnie at the Kid's Choice Awards, and i thought i would share it with you so here it is.

Now i have one thing to say aobut it, doesn't she look pretty, i am loving the dress on her, and i think her hair is definitely a yes on her, i love it.
Also here is one of the lovely Evanna, who also in my opinion looks wonderful. Emma didn't show up this time, she is normally there but by the sounds of it not this year.

Now i know this question has probably come up already but i can't stand anyone not posting here for ages, so:

I know it's hard to decide, as we haven't really had pictures of the two of them together but from what you can work out what do you think?

I really try to stay away form HBP spoilers, so i didn't read the report, but from the sounds of what you're saying, Ginny kisses Harry? Hmmm ... i'm not really sure what to make of that. I don't see how they could change the Victory kiss in front of everyone like it's supposed to be. Is it The Kiss, or just a kiss? I think i'll stop there, or my head'll strat to hurt.

Rachel in answer to your question, in pictures drawn of Harry and Ginny, they look really ... well, not exactly hot, but they're not just "cute" or something. Does anyone get what i mean? Like the HG pictures drawn by Marta down on ArtDungeon: By the Lake , Sunlit Days , On a Sofa. (I love all those pictures, if i do say so myself).

Oh, yes, Evanna and Bonnie look wonderful! I've recently thought in Evanna as I read just this morning "White lies and barefaced truths" and there's a girl called Ophelia Luna who is pictured just like her.

Yes, 50 pictures is pretty intense! Unfortunately they don't have them all in great quality. The Luna pictures made my life, though, that's for sure. Great sense of style! But anyway.

You know, the way they do the kiss doesn't bother me that much. It's more the fact that they have one! We knew they do, though, so I'm pretty happy as it is.

I have a spoiler for the sixth movie, since Moon tries to stay away from them, I'm putting it in a box.

Wow, I haven't used one of those in a while. Okay, so the cute couple question.
I think that both Dan and Bonnie are attractive people, so from the outward appearance of them being together, yeah, they're a cute couple. But if they want to be a "hot" couple like Moon suggested, then that will come from how well the pair of them play off each other. That will really come from the chemistry.

Oh, about my lovely threads get into the move again, I was getting bored and sad. Well, Ellen, I wish I could draw like Marta, like Lauren (I love her styles, think I've posted some) or like ... Nathalie!

I'd like them to be 'hot', for a way to call it, in the way of being intense and 'open', as I've said to show the difference between Ron and Hermione and also because after all Harry went through, I suppose the pain made him more demonstrative.

Dan and Bonnie? Personnally I don't give too much on these fictional-couples-gone-real thingies, but I suppose they would be a nice couple.

They had better do the HG break up as emotional as i felt it was in the book, especially when she goes, "i never really gave up on you..." and then continued but i can't remember exactly what. But that made me cry, because i was like, OMG they are finally together and now they aren't if you get what i mean. HG pairing wasn't really something i expected, i never got a hint in the books, i suppose in OotP i thought, yeh they'd go well together, but GoF i thought Hermione and in the fils i had always felt Hermione but that's only because of Dan and Emma really.

Anyway, HG FOREVER, and i would just like to say that i'm pleased people are beginning to talk on here again, i started getting lonely and bored,

I agree with you, Rachel. The Break-Up scene i'm sure they'll be fine with. Of course everything can't be the same, but these things have to be done right, or they get a lot of angry fans (lol). I just hope Ginny doesn't cry during this scene, as it's one of the things Harry likes about her. She's not weepy, so if they make her cry, i'll probably cry myself, lol.

Oh, I think Dan and Bonnie look cute together, I'm really really starting to like those two together, on screen of course. I was surprised too when I read '50 new HBP pictures', I had to blink and read again because I just couldn't believe it. It was nice trying to look at some of them, since they were so small, but I loved them! And Luna's were fantastic

About HG being 'hot' in the movie, I read something someone that went to the HBP screening wrote, and she said that you're all "KISS HER ALREADY!!" throughout the whole movie I don't know if that's 'hot' (probably not) but I think it's cute, that unrequited longing for each other

I'm not going to worry about the lack of battle-sceen till I see the movie, I mean we have been hearing such great things about this one. I think I read that JK saw the first 20 minutes and said it was the best one so far. So I don't know.
