This topic is for discussing all the Weasleys, and the role they played in the book and the series.

A few points for discussion:
How did you feel about Fred dying?
How did you feel about Percy's redemption?
What did think of Mrs. Weasley's fierce and triumphant duel with Bellatrix?
Was Ginny significant - too little or too much?

I, for one, thought beforehand that killing one of the twins would be about the most evil thing JK Rowling could do. And she did. I was so shocked and sad! I really thought that after she had George maimed, she'd at least let the twins see it through!

Percy redeemed himself absolutely and as a true Weasley, by admitting his mistakes wholeheartedly and without making excuses. I was very glad about that!

What did you all think?
freddylove
Ditto about Percy. At least he finally realised that his family is still the best.

I still can't overcome Fred's death yet..

About Mrs Weasley's duel with Bellatrix, it's probably the most cool and humourous things in the book. And the way she screamed at Bellatrix, like *wow*, I was shocked but thought that it's funny though..

And Ginny's role in this book seemed abit too little. Probably because of Harry's journey to find the Horcrux..

Dito about the twins - it's crucial one of them has to live without the other one. J.K.Rowling could have mentioned at least how George is doing now - whether he runs the WWW job alone now or does something completely different.

I would have imagined a greater role for Ginny. Maybe that Voldemort takes her as a hostage to get Harry or something dramatical like that. Though, of course, she's done a lot for D.A., so she definitly did a very good job.

It's been very unprobable for me that the whole Weasley family would come through (unfortunately; I love the whole family so much) but I didn't think about one of the twins to die - rather Mr. Weasley or Percy.
Could have imagined that Percy dies heroically (though I don't like people sacrificing themselves) after having reconciliated with his family.

And, no doubt, Mrs. Weasley was gorgeous!!

I have to say that the Weasleys and their roles disapointed me a little.

I have to say that Ron was ok, and I enjoyed reading his argument with Harry and then his return. Showed true loyalty, even if it was lacking in guts a little.

I really wanted to see Ginny dead. But then most people know my reasons for that one.

I never expected one of the twins to die. After George lost the ear, I honestly thought that they would be reprieved. I never expected Fred to fall and for them to be split up.

I actually expected that Bill might have been the one to die. Mostly because of the recently married part. I was suprised when it was Tonks and Lupin as opposed to Bill and Fleur.

I expected Percy to return a lot earlier than he did. But I knew that it had to happen eventually. A little corny, but it was expected. I don't think it could have been anything BUT corny really when it comes to it.

I expected to learn a lot more about Charlie. Considering he's the only one who hasn't really had his 'moment', I thought that we might see a lot more of him than we did and to be honest I was disapointed with this, because from the tiny glimpses and insight that we've been given to him, he seems like a good guy and an interesting character.

I HATED that Mrs Weasley was the one to take down Bellatrix. Partly because if she hadn't, then Ginny probably would have died and partly because I didn't like the reasons for it. Not in the sense of her defending her daughter, but more that there wasn't a lot of lead up to it. I would have rather have seen Neville knock a wall down or something and crush her, or possibly Lupin or Luna do a sheild charm on someone else which rebounded onto Bella. Just some REASON- backstory or something as to why it was THAT PERSON that managed to take her down.

How did you feel about Fred dying?
I'm sorry to say i had a feeling it was coming i thought one of them would die at least if not both of them. It was sad the way she descibed his last laugh on his face. He did not die in vain though he was a true hero fighting for Harry and wizarding kind.

How did you feel about Percy's redemption?
Well i am happy Percy finally came through i wasn't expecting it. Buit i liked Percy i nthe end. He joked something i didn't seem coming also. But the way he weeped over Freds body it was just so sad.

What did think of Mrs. Weasley's fierce and triumphant duel with Bellatrix?
Yes Molly deserved some action and was a heroine beyone compare. She had to kill her when she tried to kill Ginny. It was a mothers revenge on Fred. Bellatrix's taunt would have drove anyone on. And i'm glad she got her. Well deserved Victory.

Was Ginny significant - too little or too much?
I wanted Ginny to be in it more. She was in it a fait bit in the end and that and the tales Harry and the others heard showed she was being exteremly brave. But i wanted see more of Ginny. I'm glad she ended up with Harry though. There right for each other.
Triad
I hated that Fred died. I thought that if anything happened to either of the twins it would be to George and since he lost an ear I thought they were safe! Not happy about that. JKR owes me an explanation. mad.gif

Percy showing up surprised me. I wanted him dead in the previous books. And I think he should have died instead of Fred.

Or if none of the others died then perhaps Charlie could have. He's not really part of the story is he? He's just the brother that works with dragons. Big deal.

Bill - I want to know if he had any wolfish characteristics besides liking his meat rare.

Ron's walking out on Harry and Hermione didn't surprise me. He was never my fav character. I only tolerate him because Rupert Grint does a wonderful job with him.

I also hated that Molly took out Bella. That was Nevilles job! Stupid Molly.

Arthur...what did he do? Was he even in the battles?

Ginny I wanted dead. She's a non-character, there only to hurt Harry and get in the way.
Albus Dumbledore
How did you feel about Fred dying?

Eh, it was sad. I am not overly disturbed by it, but it really was unexpected. They were always a great bunch in the series, and they will be sorely missed. I know this may sound horrible, but I am glad it was Fred and not someone like Ron or Molly.. that would have killed me.

How did you feel about Percy's redemption?

Of course I loved it! I love reconciliation, it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy! He was really straightforward and all, and honest about his mistakes... I'm glad he abandoned the Ministry to do what was right.. It was great that Arthur and Percy took out Thickness, in the end.

What did think of Mrs. Weasley's fierce and triumphant duel with Bellatrix?

I know Neville was preferred to overtake Bellatrix, but he was off doing other things, and wasn't bothering to look for her... Hermione, Luna and Ginny were duelling her for a while so he would have had time to join in. Also, it was truly great to see Molly duel. I love Molly Weasley's nature and we never saw her fight before.. her fierce nature of a mother was awesome!

Was Ginny significant - too little or too much?

Ginny was fine. She was a little more mature, a little more tolerable, and she didnt hang on Harry's coat tail, thank god. She was given an appropriate amount of book space.

How did you feel about Fred dying?

I love the Weasley twins and I do mean LOVE wink.gif But I honestly expected both of them to die and the idea in my family was it would be at Bill and Fleur's wedding. But when George lost his ear I figured he was safe. It was still heartbreaking to have him die. He was really brave and to hear his excitement about Percy cracking a joke.. and dying with his last laugh still on his face.. very touching.

How did you feel about Percy's redemption?

Honestly I think it was perfect.. it really wouldn't have been the same. To me it seems like when the cards are all dealt and on the table you remember what really matters. He knew the "big war" was going to happen and he was seeing all these people captured and tortured and killed.. he couldn't leave thing unsaid with his family. I also loved that they got some last teasing to "Percy the Prefect" great!! It was heartbreaking seeing how he was over Fred's body.. imagine how he must of felt over all that wasted time but also how he must have been happy.. that in the end he had fought beside them and Fred knew his brother loved him.

What did think of Mrs. Weasley's fierce and triumphant duel with Bellatrix?

Oh my god...... LOVED it one of my favorite lines in the whole book..

[Mod Edit: Cursing is still not permitted on this site]

that was absolutely great.. and in the midst of all the chaos I couldn't help but laugh.. it was like wow go Molly.. It also seemed fitting because Bellatrix was dueling with Ginny. Mrs Weasley's biggest fear was losing her family. Also too when the locket horcrux opened it said Mrs. Weasley wanted a daughter.. honestly I think there's some truth to that. There hadn't been a Weasley girl in many generations. And while mother's say they don't have favorites.. being the only girl and the youngest Molly was extra protetive of Ginny.
Also too we got to see that mother bear.. she was not just a mother she was a powerful witch as well.

Was Ginny significant - too little or too much?

Honestly Ginny was perfect. She loved Harry still but she understood he had something important to do. She did what she could and that was fighting the battle at Howarts. She showed her maturity and also the fact that she was a strong witch in her own right. I loved how Harry thought about her often and how she was one of the last things he thought about be for he "died". When Harry was at "his end" he too was thinking about love.

How did you feel about Fred dying?

It came as a complete shock to me. I never saw that coming and I was rather annoyed at it.
Of all the characters in the books, Fred and George are my favorites and to see them separated like that was like having a limb torn off.
I hope George managed to find an ear to attach to him.

How did you feel about Percy's redemption?

I thought it was brilliant! I knew all along Percy would come round in the end. I thought it was obvious that it was going to happen right at the end, the whole "war" thing and the possibility of never seeing his parents and family again would be enough to make anyone go back to their family no matter what they had done, unless you were pure evil that is.

What did think of Mrs. Weasley's fierce and triumphant duel with Bellatrix?
In all honesty, like most people here, I wanted Neville to do it but he got to kill Nagini which surprised me but I couldnt help but smile and punch the air when he did.
Mrs Weasley did phenomenally well I thought, and calling her a [Mod Edited Out] was funny biggrin.gif
Im glad someone did it because if no one else was gonna do it, then I would have.

Was Ginny significant - too little or too much?

Um, I'm not entirely sure on this.
She didnt have alot of dialogue and book time but she was constantly there throughout the book, in Harry's thoughts and I think that made up for it if you know what I mean?
I kinda knew they would end up together when Harry had the image of Ginny marrying a faceless person, thats what made me think that they were destined for each other and that Harry really did love her.

Ron/Hermione

Thats a whole other book in itself I think.
I loved how Ron was taking tips from a book and thought Harry could do with it too biggrin.gif
Oh the naivety of Ron.
What did you think of their kiss?
The whole way through the book I was shouting at them in my head to just hurry up and get on with it!
I told my sister last week, before the book came out, that when they do get together, it will be very dramatic and then one of them will die heroically.
I got one part right lol

Fred's death was a real shock. After George lost his ear, I presumed that would be it for the Weasley family. I would have liked to have seen a little bit more of the aftermath of the Battle of Hogwarts - to see how George reacted to what happened. Also, don't you think that Ron was just a tad relaxed at the end of the book? I would have thought that he would have been devestated at the loss of one of his brothers.

Percy's return was fantastic. I'd always liked Percy in a funny sort of way, so to see him back in the family was wonderful.

Mrs. Weasley's line to Bellatrix was priceless. Although I would have prefered it if Neville was the one to take down Bellatrix, it was still cool to see Mrs.Weasley really explode like that. I guess we now know where Ginny gets her power from!

I would have liked to have seen a bit more from Ginny, and it would have been nice to have seen Harry and Ginny kiss at the end. But, in all her scenes, her love for Harry (and vice versa) was evident - and their marraige was fitting.

How did you feel about Fred dying?
I can't believe that Fred was killed, it was so unexpected and I was hoping that when LV died all those people that died in battle would have been brought back...unrealistic I know, but just for the sake of reuniting the Weasley twins. By far they were my favourite characters so it would have been better even to see the effects of Fred's death on the rest of the family, particularly later on. I felt that there wasnt as much time spent on it than could have been, but then again I loved how he died after cracking his final joke, so sweet...

How did you feel about Percy's redemption?
Well it was bound to happen, I was just shocked it was so late in the book! Although I've never really liked the character of Percy. I felt that out of any of the Weasleys he should have been the one to die, perhaps protecting Ginny. That would be his final declaration that he loved his family, his moment of redemption.

What did think of Mrs. Weasley's fierce and triumphant duel with Bellatrix?
I really didnt see that happening! Obviously I had my heart on Neville taking out the woman who had destroyed his family but it was quite an interesting twist for Molly to be the one to finish her. I loved the way it was to protect Luna Hermione and Ginny- and that line of hers better not be cut from the movie! I loved the way she killed Bellatrix and it mimicked the death of Sirius, it was how i wanted her to go.

Was Ginny significant - too little or too much?
I really didnt like her role that much in this book, it just seemed like she was there for something for Harry to want but never have. But I knew they would end up together, and it was sweet that he was thinking of his love for her whenever he 'died'. I guess she showed her bravery when she insisted on remaining for the final battle, I just think there could have been more to her.

How did you feel about Fred dying?

That was the sadest part in the whole book for me. I loved Fred's character so much. I didn't mind that George lost his ear, I thought it created a greater dynamic, but I wish they both survived.

How did you feel about Percy's redemption?

I had a feeling it was coming. I couldn't see the book ending without Percy saying he was sorry.

What did think of Mrs. Weasley's fierce and triumphant duel with Bellatrix?

Brilliant! Rampaging mother on the go. It really showed the love she had for her children

Was Ginny significant - too little or too much?

I think Ginny's role was just about right to be honest. Her role wasn't huge, but it was important.

How did you feel about Fred dying?

I didn't like that too much. By now I am pretty tired of seeing all these people close to our hero getting murdered. It wasn't a very magnificent death either, just right out of nowhere. It would have been nice if he coudl have at least sacrificed himself or something.

How did you feel about Percy's redemption?

About time it happened. I wanted it to happen alot sooner so at least Ron would have some time to talk to him, and see all the family members interact individiually.

What did think of Mrs. Weasley's fierce and triumphant duel with Bellatrix?

That was excellent, I hated Bellatrix and am glad that she died trying to gloat. Shows what a mother will do to protect her children. She must have been losing it after all the crab her kids have had to endure.

Was Ginny significant - too little or too much?

I think Ginny really got the shaft. She is supposed to be an amazing witch and we get nothing on this.

I HATED that Mrs Weasley was the one to take down Bellatrix. Partly because if she hadn't, then Ginny probably would have died and partly because I didn't like the reasons for it. Not in the sense of her defending her daughter, but more that there wasn't a lot of lead up to it. I had truly hoped that Neville would end up fighting with Bellatrix, but I'm not disappointed that it was Molly Weasley. I thought the unexpected vulgarity unneccessary (really, can anyone hear Molly Weasley say the b word???) but I thought it poetic.

Maybe because Bellatrix killed Sirius, who Molly often thought was a bit confused about Harry and that Sirius wasn't able to be a proper parent to the boy she considered her eighth child, and Molly got revenge. There's a lot you have to put into it to see it as poetic, but I did...

As for Fred's death, I had previously thought that one or both of them would die, and was leaning to both of them. I suppose that leaving one maimed and one dead was an attempt to show them as more than "the twins", but it didn't really work. We didn't really see them that way, Fred is just one more member of the body count. Maybe if we'd seen the battle it would have worked, but we didn't and it doesn't.

Percy's return fit well. He didn't come until the last minute, but when he knew that evil was threatening his family, his school, he was there. And I love that he had a bit of a sense of humor, too.

How did you feel about Fred dying?

Honestly, I was so surprised and a little disappointed. I don't know, it just seemed to happen really fast. I thought for sure Mr. or Mrs. Weasley would die. George's line about him being "Holey", was absolutely hilarious. After George got hurt, I too thought that they would both live. I wish we could have seen a little bit more in the epilogue about how George was doing.

How did you feel about Percy's redemption?

I knew it would be coming, but it still took me by surprise. Just because I had totally forgotten about him with all of the action. It was a good reunion, I like how he admitted to being a git.

What did think of Mrs. Weasley's fierce and triumphant duel with Bellatrix?

All I could say was wow! I wish it was Neville that had killed her, though. She was really brave and you can see where Ginny gets her power! Speaking of Ginny...

Was Ginny significant - too little or too much?

Ginny is my favorite character, so I would have liked to have seen a little more of her and Harry. But I thought the amount was perfect! I think you could tell that Harry loved her in this book. Him taking out the Marauder's Map to watch her, thinking if he stared hard enough that she would know he was watching. Then right before Harry "died" how his last thought was of Ginny, that absolutely made up for her absence in the book for me. I'm so happy that they got married, I think that they are perfect for each other.

All in all this book was amazing! I loved it!

I was gutted that Fred died. I agree that it was one of the most cruel things JK could have done to the Weasleys and George as the twins had a very strong bond!

I loved the twist of Percy coming back i couldnt beleive it i was so shocked that he admitted he was wrong about everything.

'I was a fool!' Percy roared,so loudly that Lupin nearly dropped his photograph. 'I was an idiot, i was a pompous prat, i was a - a-'
'Ministry-loving, family-disowning, power-hungry moron' said Fred
Percy swallowed.
'Yes i was!'
'Well you cant say fairer than that,' said Fred holding out his hand to Percy.

Absolutely brilliant way to bring him back into it! comedy and heartbreaking to imagine the overwhelming feeling the rest of the Weasleys had!

As for Mrs Weasleys triumph over Bellatrix FABULOUS! Bellatrix had it coming in the end she was a nasty piece of work and to finally see Mrs Weasley use her magic skills to do something other than cook and heal wounds! although she is good! However i was expecting Neville to finish off Bellatrix because of what she did to his parents.

Ginny i think was very significant, she still cared for Harry and him for her and that obviously spurred him on to survive with the fact that he could hapily have Ginny without anyone using her as bait or against him

Also another thing to do with the Weasleys we finally got to meet this Auntie Muriel that gets mentioned and i thought she was fabulous! the coments she made made me laugh!

How did you feel about Fred dying?

I was completely and absolutely horrified!!!! And right in the middle of becoming buddying up with Percy! And such a happy momet too!! Percy had just come back into the family and...and THAT happens!!!!! After what happened to Georgie (LOVE mrs weasley's nick hehe tongue.gif ) i thought the twins were okay...i thought seeing how nothing happened to them while the Golden Trio were cut off from the Wizarding World they were alright!! eeek.gif Seeing them come through the passageway into Hogwarts I was so happy to see that they were ok!! Then...then fred....eeek.gif I was crying when he died...but when the scene described George kneeling with his forehead pressed to Fred's (thats how i saw the scene when i read the words) and mrs weasley on his chest i started crying so hard......i just wish we knew what happened to Lee Jordan and George....the shop.....

How did you feel about Percy's redemption?

I was VERY shocked to see percy come through that passageway. (was frickin even more shocked when the old Gryff team showed up and Cho chang! o.o!!!!) I was so happy he was back....but then to see what happened to fred just coming back must of torn him apart...really. His attitude as he SORT of explains is kind of like ron if you ask me. He was stubborn. his attitude reminded me of ron for some odd reason..you know after an argument, especially an argument after with hermione. just my thoughts....but i'm glad he was back! and in the end he stayed with the ministry lol

What did think of Mrs. Weasley's fierce and triumphant duel with Bellatrix? Okay I about dropped my book when one certain word left Mrs Weasley's mouth! shocking.gif Come on guys you read the book, you know what it was. That shocked me beyond all belief, but I must say...i wish it had been Neville, really I wish it had been. I know the reason why she was able to. A mother's revenge almost as powerful as a woman's scorn. (i think that's how its said) anyways, her revenge for Fred and then her protectiveness over Ginny, not to mention Hermione too, but more for Ginny made her stronger. Again, love right there! in the end it should have been neville darnit! *pouts*

Was Ginny significant - too little or too much? TOO LITTLE! I wanted her part of the fighting just like Neville, Luna and Dean. I mean even Lavendar, the Patil twins and Seamus got some action in there!!! I know yes she was only 16 not an adult, but Luna was fighting! *sighs* I just wish Ginny could have kicked some butt. The only real fight we saw her in (or envisioned) her in was with Bella against Luna and Hermione! (long off i know but that will probably be cut from the DH movie) all in all i liked the ending just wished we saw more of her!

How did you feel about Fred Dying?

I was shocked personally. Everyone thought that a Weasley would die in the book because there were too many of them, but i don't think anyone would have thought it would be Fred let aone a twin. The twins did take things seriously despite their humorsous demeanor all the time and Fred knew the risks when he died. At least he died happy seeing his stuck up brother cracking a joke. Fred's death was devastating and I think a little unfair. I would have rather had George fighting by his side when it happened or either Percy be the one who died. I know thats horrible but its how I feel. Fred didn't deserve to die but he knew the risks and it was really sad.

How did you feel about Percy's redemption?

Didn't like it. I'm glad that Percy came to his sense and apologized and everything but honestly i was hoping the IF a Weasley died it would be him. He came out of nowhere. All of a sudden Percy was there and he was beggin for forgiveness. It was like Rowling just thought all of a sudden oh yeah what about Percy? I have to remember to put him. So she just tossed him in there and made it happen the way people would probably have wanted to see it.

What did think of Mrs. Weasley's fierce and triumphant duel with Bellatrix?

I thought it was great. Everyone seems so surprised that it was Mrs. Weasley that killed Bellatrix but i think it makes perfect sense. Here you have Bellatrix, evil twisted tortuous madwoman. She is closest to Voldemort and would kill anyone as soon as look at them. She is bloodthristy and evil to the core. Her opposite is Molly Weasley. In OotP she sees all of her family dead with the boggart, her clock always says in mortal peril, she says "it will be a miracle if we all make it out of this alive". She is a loving caring woman who is full of concern for life and especially the life of her family. Molly loves life and Bellatrix doesn't care about it so you have the two polar opposites duelling it out here at the end of the book. You also never see Molly duel of do any fighting previous to this and im glad it shows that she is capable and can handle herself and that she is more than just a housewife who constantly worries. I liked that Molly defefated Bellatrix. I liked that she got ****ed off initially because she almost killed Ginny because i like Ginny and when Bellatrix laughed and Harry knew she was about to die i thought it was perfect. The only thing i don't quite know how i feel about is that Molly killed Bellatrix with the killing curse. She didn't drop a chandelier on her or make her fall against a spike or something, she actually killed her. Little dark but ok

Was Ginny significant - too little or too much?

Ginny was significant but i wanted her to be in the book more. She should have had more lines/ more facetime/ a bigger role i the book but she was significant. She wasn't all that significant to the plot but she was definitely significant to Harry. Her role in the book was perfect meaning that she wasn't in the mix of things with the trio, that hers and Harry's love for eachother was the truth, that she worked at Hogwarts, and that Harry still cared the most about her but i really think she shoud have been in the book more. Harry kinda stopped talking to her ya know? When he saw her at the table with Mrs Weasley and decided he would talk to her later he should have talked to her. Same as when they were crying over Fred. He should have told her flat out that he loved her and a lot of mushy sutff like that but her role in the book was good just not the amount of lines she had or everything that developed with Harry
Sirius4ever

I feel that the Weasleys were, for the most part, wonderful. I think there could have been more stuff to do with or about Ginny and that Charlie has been a little too downplayed in the story.

I was so scared when George was brought in and was bleeding so much. It was cool though that he could still joke albeit a stupid joke. Fred, in my opinion, shouldn't have died. I just can't see George without his twin. It's weird.

My favorite Weasley moment though was when Mrs. Weasley attacked Bellatrix. I laughed. I mean, really, you just can't see her swearing. I thought it was good that she got to have her moment in the spotlight. She'd suffered a lot and lost so much, she needed to do something to help.

I'm glad that Bill didn't die. I don't know whether Fleur and Mrs. Weasley could have handled it.

Now, Percy. Percy, Percy, Percy. Everyone, or at least mostly everyone, has hated him since book 4. At last, he saw what an enormous idiot he was and fought along-side his family. This made Fred's death all the more painful. I mean, Percy had just reconciled with his family and then he loses one of his brothers. How painful would that be?

To answer the points for discussion:

How did you feel about Fred dying? Depressed the heck out of me. I explained it in a different post, having a twin die would be like losing a part of yourself. Devastating.

How did you feel about Percy's redemption? I should have seen it coming. I'm glad he finally came around.

What did think of Mrs. Weasley's fierce and triumphant duel with Bellatrix? Awesome. Best fight of the entire book!

Was Ginny significant - too little or too much? GINNY WAS IN THIS BOOK! j/k. Yeah definitely too little. But I guess this book and the entire series was more about Harry, mostly, and Ron and Hermione.
Mrs Figgy
I love the Weazleys. I always loved going to The Burrow. I knew we had to lose one of them and I was afraid it would be Mr. Weasley; how awful that would have been for Molly. But, naturally, how awful to lose Fred (or any of her kids). Just a heart breaker. I cry and cry over it. The twins were just the best, and I am very sorry to say it, but I could have taken losing Ron better than I am taking losing Fred.

I'm not that moved one way or the other about Percy. I figured he's come around eventually, but given everything else that happened, that is a non-event for me.

I just loved Molly fighting and defeating Bellatrix. Everything about it was perfect. I know that we all expected it to be Neville taking her on, but JK needed to surprise us, and she did. Besides, think the the courage it took for Neville to get that close to V to kill the snake, which, lets face it, was scary to get close to as well.

I have noticed many here at VTM have not been pleased with Harry's choice of Ginny as his gal. I think Ginny has been great. How many girls/women would have been that patient and understanding for so long on so little encouragement. Plus, she has really developed her skills over time. She's better at Quidditch than Ron by a bunch. She's good at her DADA skills. In my opinion, she is a worthy match for Harry. (Darn it, I did want to know what they ended up doing for careers; like, I wanted them to start out on a professional Quidditch squad and then moving on to something more serious.)
IhateSeverusSnape
Ah, the Weasleys. So much to discuss, isn't there? I knew that one of them had to go, but I thought it would be Harry's "Wheezy" or perhaps Mr Weasley. (Uh-oh, shouldn't have quoted Dobby, now I'm upset again!) But for Fred to go, it wasn't fair!!!!!!!! Not. At. All. I can't imagine, Fred without George, or George without Fred. It's not natural. After George's ear, I just thought, LEAVE THE TWINS ALONE, JOANNE, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!
What will happen to Weasley's Wizard Wheezes? George will probably sell it. Or give it to Lee. As for Mrs Weasley's duel with Bella, that was just amazing! I can tell you I was shocked when Molly let that one little word slip, but I was terrified when they started firing spells at each other! I was so sure that Molly would die! Very glad that she didn't though. That would have been too much. Percy's redemption... now that was nice. ("I was a fool! roared Percy, so loudly that Lupin almost dropped his photograph. "I was an idiot, I was a pompous prat, I was a - a- " "A Ministry-loving, family-disowning, power-hungry moron," said Fred. "Yes - yes I was!" "Well, you can't say fairer than that," said Fred, holding out his hand to Percy.) Brilliant. As for Ginny, she was hardly featured at all! Not. Good. I love Ginny, she shoulda been out there kickin' some Death Eater butt! (Bat Bogey Hex. Heh heh heh.)

i was totally devastated when J.K killed Fred! i thought from the beginning that she couldn't kill one without killing the other (like tonks n lupin) but obviously i was totally wrong! i didn't think J.K. would let one of the twins die without the other! and personally i thought that percy would have been the weasley that died.but once again i was wrong.

i did how ever like percy's redemption, and there was still one laugh left from fred and george when he came back. that cheered me up smile.gif but i knew that would have to happen in the end. he couldn't carry on believing the ministry was right.

i thought mrs weasley's fight was a rather good twist. i didn't expect that to happen and it also saved the children like ginny from killing someone face to face, even though bellatrix was a down right evil character that everyone must admit they wanted dead, not just locked away. i did laugh at that point when she ran towards bellatrix, but it made me wonder with the words used whether it was for a childrens book... but hey, who cares? it was still good.

i did think however, that Ginny's part was a bit too small. i thought she would sneak away and join ron, hermione and harry with the hunt. OK she wouldn't have known what they were doing in the first place, but as she proved in the 5th book, when shes grown up with Fred and George she generally has her own ways of doing things. so she would have found out and they wouldn't have been able to restrain her from going, so i thought that could have happened.
but i still loved the book! i have to say it was absolutely brilliant! and i love all the weasleys roles! they've each had there own part to play because although they are all similar, they are completely different with the things that they have done in the books.
DoubleD
To Fred: The death that shocked me the most and nearly made my cry. I wonder what will happen to Weasleys Wizard Wheezes, too. Maybe George will continue it with Lee? But it will definitely not be the same.
To Percy: Good that he returned, though it was a bit late. But it fits that his family does not hate him any more but forgives him.

To Ginny: I think she was a bit lost in the book. I would have hoped for a bit more action between her and harry and hated Ron for disturbing them. It was cool that she continued to fight in Hogwarts with neville and Luna and the others, but I felt sad for her when everyone said 'You're too young, you're not going to fight against the Death Eaters.' I wonder if she had any chance to decide the names of their children, it sounds like Harry made all the decisions. Why not call one of them Fred?

To Molly: I doubt that anyone expected that from Molly. I was so happy when I read her killing Bellatrix. All my respect for Molly "Killer" Weasley!!! smile.gif

How did you feel about Fred dying?
I was surprised, very surprised actually. I thought George's brush with death earlier, where I thought he was going to die, would be all the suffering the twins saw.

How did you feel about Percy's redemption?
Better late than never I guess. It's good to see that despite his drive to succeed, which he thought his family kept him from, that he came back to his senses. It's good to see that Percy could only be pushed so far for his own personal gain.

What did think of Mrs. Weasley's fierce and triumphant duel with Bellatrix?
Shocking, but very illuminating for two reasons. First, nobody, NOBODY had thought of Molly Weasley as a skilled witch or duelist. Secondly, Bellatrix had just been holding off Ginny, Luna, and Hermione. I think this reminds us that while these kids may be powerful, they're still just kids and have a lot more to learn. Molly Weasley did more than Ginny, Hermione, and Luna could combined.

Was Ginny significant - too little or too much?
I feel like she should've had a bigger part, though I was sure she was going to meet her end in this book.
Felix2090
Bill got married, Fred died, George lost an ear, Mr. Weasley received a reprieve from JKR, Percy rejoined his family, Mrs. Weasley killed Bellatrix, Ron aided Harry in finding and destroying Horcruxes, and Ginny married Harry in the end. Clearly, the Weasleys played a big part in this book.

I have a question. Where was Charlie? He was a highly insignificant part in this book by rarely being mentioned.

Thats really all I have to say about the Weasleys.

How did you feel about Fred dying?
It was so sad! I think that he death was also unneccessary. He didn't need to die in my opinion. How will George cope without him? Poor guy.

How did you feel about Percy's redemption?
It was great! I never expected it - but I suppose it was needed for closure. Or else we'd be left wondering what happened to him after Voldemort's death and it would be just another unanswered question. But it was really good - I hated Percy after OotP but this really made me like him. He even managed to make a joke - haha biggrin.gif

What did think of Mrs. Weasley's fierce and triumphant duel with Bellatrix?
I personally wanted Neville or Harry to kill Bellatrix - in revenge for their losses. I was disappointed that it was Mrs. Weasley, but on the other hand the duel was still good. One of my favourite lines: 'NOT MY DAUGHTER YOU .....' Haha classic.

Was Ginny significant - too little or too much?
Well Ginny wasn't too significant in the story, which suits me fine because she is not one of my favourite characters. Don't get me wrong, I like her but I think her role was just enough. Maybe she could have had a bigger role in the Battle part in the fighting.

I have a question. Where was Charlie?

He was best man at Bill and Fleur's wedding, but apart from that I don't really know what happened to him, unless I missed something out whilst reading.

Warning. This is going to be a very immature letter to the fictional character Percy Weasley.

>>>>>>>>>>

Percy-
I hate you. I hate you more than anyone could ever realize. You betray your family and come back as soon as you realize you were wrong. "Oh hey well I guess if Vldy is back I'll just scamper on home Minister! Seeya"
Youre a jerk. If you hadn't come back or if you had never been a jerk in the first place, Fred would still be alive. His life was worth way more than yours and I hate that he died because you distracted him. Its a pitty you hadn't died instead.
Love,
Kirsten.

PS. Now I'm remembering though something Gandalf from Lord of the Rings once said. "Many who live deserve death. Many you die deserve life, but can you give it to them?"

Well I can't give Fred his life back. Nothing could bring him back. So who am I to decide you should die?

>>>>>>>>>>

I'm sorry. I really had to get that out of my system.

I miss you Fred.
JJJJalynnnn

When Fred died I cried, and cried and cried. The twins were my favorite characters and I loved them. I cannot believe that he died. I'll be thinking back on it and every time i remember him dying I will cry. I know it.

I was very proud of Percy. He acted just like a Weasley. They all admit when they are wrong and ask for forgiveness. Yes, Percy did wait a long time, but he was doing a job that he loved, that's what we expected from him. He was always the brightest student. The one most likely to succeed. So he did, only he chose the wrong side, but its ok, cause he realized he chose wrong and came back to the people who really matter.

I loved the duel between Mrs. Weasley and Bellatrix!! She is one of the strongest women I have ever heard of. She was not going to let anything else happen to her family. Actually to anymore kids. She was always the mother(well duhhh) but she was the mother of everyone, whether or not you were really her kid. Bravo Mrs. Weasley!

Yes, I think Ginny was significant. It was important for her and Harry to kiss the Ron to get mad, because that's what brothers do, even if Harry is his best friend. Ginny is his only sister so it was only time until he got mad at Harry for breaking up with her. That's one of the main reason (I think) he left Harry and Hermonie. He was still angry with Harry and the fact that Harry didn't seem to be worried about her (even though he was) made him even more mad. She was a main character even though we hardly saw her.

How did you feel about Fred dying?

I never expected one of the twins to die... I couldn't imagine them being seperated so I was aboslutely devastated when Fred died. I couldn't believe it. I had thought that one of the family was going to die, but not one of the twins...

How did you feel about Percy's redemption?

To be honest, I had forgotten all about Percy until he fell out of the hole... But I was extremely pleased I can see that scene transaltely beautifully onto the big screen too!

What did think of Mrs. Weasley's fierce and triumphant duel with Bellatrix?

I had thought that Neville would get Bellatrix but really I'm quite happy that Molly did it... Plus that line was fabulous and will go down in HP history!

Was Ginny significant - too little or too much?

I liked Ginny's role in this book. She was present thoughout the book but not in an in your face way... Plus all her moments with harry reminded us in a sweet way how they're meant to be together... I also like that she was quite mature in the book whereas in HBP she was still more a teenager with a rather explosive temper.

How do you feel about Fred dying?
It kind of shocked me because he and George are the sort of characters that you think would never die and will always live with their jokes. The way she described his face when he was dead was horrible! sad.gif

How do you feel about Percy's redemption?
I feel that he was a bit late in returning but I always knew that he would return.

What did you think of Mrs Weasley's fierce and triumphant duel with Bellatrix?
I agree with Lauren0891, it should of been Neville or Harry because of the people she killed.

Was Ginny significant - too little or too much?
Ginny did have a good role in this book but I feel that when Harry was at The Burrow, I think that they should have talked and maybe kissed abit more when they were alone. I was glad that her and Harry ended up together they deserve each other. wub.gif
mrsgeorgeweasley
I hated that Fred died. He was by far my favorite charcter. I thought that the way she wrote the death was good though. The only way it could have been better was if a death eater killed him and Percy took out the death eater. I mean a wall exploded and he died, not good enough for my beloved Fred. But the fact that he was laughing, and laughing at a joke made by PERCY of all people, was so fitting. And it was sad how Percy wept over Fred, because Percy's relationship with the twins had always been strained. I thought Percy's redemption would come by means of him sacrificing himself to save one of the twins, not just coming back and saying that he'd been a prat and joining the battle.

I loved Molly taking down Bellatrix, I never expected it from her. And after that taunt about Fred, I wanted to jump into the book and blow Bellatrix up myself.

How do you feel about Fred dying?
Sheer shock!Fred and Geogre go together like Day and Night you can't have one without the other. When he died I just broke down. I've always felt like another distant member of the Weasley family and so many of them have been injured...I guess Fred was one Weasley he couldn't save. How will George cope? I know I can't eeek.gif

How do you feel about Percy's redemption?
I thought that as soon as Fudge was replaced that Percy would swallow his pride with a big glass of butterbear and come back home but he didn't until this book. To be honest I had forgotten about him until his dramatic return haha. Good he came back though.

What did you think of Mrs Weasley's fierce and triumphant duel with Bellatrix?
I thought it was a neither one can live while the other servives moment when they were fighting.I was just glad that Bella was the one to meet her end. It would have been so good if Neville could have done it or if Harry said "accio veil" and pushed Bella into it. biggrin.gif

Was Ginny significant - too little or too much?

Hmm I think there was just enough Ginny in the book but she seemed to just bee there as Harry's love interest mostly which I suppose. I was never really a strong fan of the Ginny/Harry ship but if they are happy then so am I. happy.gif

Honestly though in real life not everyone gets married to someone from their secondry school. They must be as solid as a rock.

How do you feel about Fred dying?

I was like most everyone totally shocked. I guess now George is even more saintly due to being double holey. The hole where his ear was and the hole in his heart from losing Fred.

How do you feel about Percy's redemption?

I loved it. Especially when he resigned. I think Percy takes over Fred's spot in running WWW. He's had enough of the Ministry and wants to make things up to his family.

What did you think of Mrs Weasley's fierce and triumphant duel with Bellatrix?

It was great! The only thing that would have made it better would have been if she had said "daughters" instead of "daughter." Hermione was there and it would have shown that she accepted Hermione as her daughter as well.

Was Ginny significant - too little or too much?

I was actually a bit disappointed that Ginny didn't put up more of a fight to be included with the trio on the quest for the horcruxes.

I wasn't expecting Percy to come back... but to be honest I didn't really think much about that. I was glad though.
I couldn't believe it when Fred died... I mean, I never expected a Weasley to die!!! But then again, it was a war and many good people die in a war.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't '****' the first really foul word in the whole series? I can remember Rowling implying that somebody is swearing, but I don't think she ever wrote that kind of word in the HP books before. If I am right, I'm really pleased that it was Molly who said it. She was always the real mummy type, who would tell her children not to swear and stuff, ad for her to be using that word... I just thought it was funny

In reference to Unforgivable Curses, Bellatrix, herself, said, "You need to mean them, Potter!" In Molly's case she really meant them--both the word and the curse. blink.gif And justifiably so.

Yeah Molly used a foul world when she was shouting at Bellatrix for attacking Ginny. I don't blame her she had just lost one child, been reunited with another and I don't think she is prepared to loose another. I certainly would have been distraut if Ginny died especially at the hand of the dreaded Bellatrix. mad.gif
iluvviktorkrum
i agree killing one of the twins was soo evil. i cant believe she would do that. we all know that george was really upset because of losing his twin brother. what mrs. weasleys did i thought was the most awesome thing she's ever done. then when she called bella a curse word. haha.
Laurel
I was really saddened by Fred's death! I cried at that part. It was just so sad for one of the twins to die, because they are so consistent with their comic relief in serious situations, that having one of them gone is just plain depressing... I didn't think that she would kill off one of the funniest characters, especially after George's ear incident, like you guys said. I thought that she would scare us a little where the twins were concerned, and after that they would be fine!

I would like to know what Georges long term reaction to Freds death. Did he continue Weasley Wizarding Wheezes? (Yeah probably) I'm guessing the answer will be in the encyclopedia.
Moon(I luv you Luna)
Mrs Wrasley's battle with bellatrix was awsome. You go and protect your cubs, mama bear! I always knew there was a wild side in her somewhere.

I'm glad Bill got married fine. He deserved that. Even if the wedding was gatecrashed. sleep.gif

I never saw the signifigence in Charlie. he never seemed important. i always thought his Dragon's would come into play.

Percy coming back was ... not unexpected for me, actualy. I always thought Percy would come back at a crucial time, and he did.

I always thought that if one twin went down, the other was going down with him. No way could i ever imagine just Fred. Or just george. Fred and George is what it has and always will be. When Fred died, i thought George would duel the guy who killed him, taking him and himself down. But i guess not. dry.gif

This was the most shocking thing for me. blink.gif

I felt so proud of Ron-he was so brave and even though he walked out on them, he had the courage to face them after he came back.

Ginny ... i thought she'd really show her power. But i didn't see much power-more of a soft side actualy. Comforting that girl during the battle, stuff like that. Though i guess she was a reble (sp?). Lol.

And in the end, we get more Weasley's. It really is OBHWF, isn't it? happy.gif

The Weaseley's are so terrific, I've loved them from book one where Ron pulls out his squashy sandwich and says,"I'm all set" and then Harry realizes he has a friend to share things with (even if its only Chocoate Frogs at first.) And I like what one writer said here that Molly was everyone's mother, especially for Harry, but for everyone, Tonk's (as that other mother we all need to talk to besides our own mother) and even for Sirius even when she ws upset at him. Because he didn't really have a functional sane mother. She was just there for whoever needed her, and I love that.

Fred's death - devastating - still absorbing, in the sense that I forget, and then it takes me by surprise to imagine how George will carry on without his Telepathic other half. And they were both so brave and kind when needed!, not just funny.

There are lots of great comments written here I particiuularly enjoyed ArwenLeFay's, XDumbledoreX's and Mrs. Figgy's.

Percy - it was great he come back, and logically he could have come sooner (once he got over his pride being bruised over not being right) if he hadn't wanted to have been killed or jailed, so I don't see how that could have been different unless he had left at the end of book 4. Being the kind of person who is used to being always right and everyone agreeing (a prefect, young ministry appointment, bossy older brother) it took him alot longer to admit he was wrong, unlike Ron who only need about two-three weeks. (hard to know excatly that length of time.) It was wonderful that he was so glad to see everyone and be honest with himself and to joke with Fred. that was wonderful - shows another example of the good effects of true remorse - see other thread.

Mrs. Weasley killing Bellatrix - one writer has already mentioned how Molly and Bellatrix are polar ooposites, so I felt this was extrememly fitting, also Bellatrix was battling three girls, Ginny, Molly's only daughter (and the first girl Wesly in generations, and also how close they would be in that house full of boys, just to commisserate on the state of the toilet seat up or down alone, not to be too silly, but you get the drift of all the things that have drawn them closer just because they're female things), and Hermione, who become another daughter as far as Molly looking out for her,and also she must have liked her alot and seen how good she was for Ron because why else would Hermione be invited to the Burrow so often and for such long stretches when she has her own perfectly good family. And Luna, who has no mother now, and of course Molly is mother to all) - so this may be reading alot into it, but Molly was the person to do this job, to prevent any more orphans being created by Bellatrix, to stop the terrible damage done to her family and everyone else's. Plus we don't know what kind of battling histry they may have from the past.

I only wished Molly hadn't used the word she did - she is too classy fo rthat dumb word - besides that its crude and doesn't suit her, I would think it would have been far more imaginative for there to be a really nasty wizard word to describe Bellatrix - something along the lines of the creation of "Mudblood" - that would have been far more effetive and interesting. That word is so over used now it has lost its meaning, unless your into showing dogs. Andway, it was also great to see Molly as a fierce warrior who had been part of the origianl Phoenix group.

Ginny - was just perfect. She was in the book just right. In many ways this book is about the characters maturing, and we have a close walk with Ron and Harry regarding this, but we also get glimpses of Dumbeldore's maturing process through the back information, and we see Neveill and Ginny maturing in the background. Ginny accepted that she had to be in the background - and I always wondered why in the 6th book why Harry wsn't more worried about Ginny, because even he broke things off with her for both their own good, Snape would already know they were dating and important to each other and could tell LV.. It ws still wise for them not to be together, and Bellatrix wod have made great use of that information. Now that we know how Snape is, I don't think he told LD about Harry and Ginny. Not so much because he valued anyones' true love beyond his own but because it would keep Harry safer, which he had promised Dumbledore.

Anyway, I love how Rowling gives us glimpses of Ginny plugging away keeping things hopping at Hogwarts, being true to the D.A. and showing she is really growing up and gets this fight against LV. She really gets it that Harry needs to not have to worry any extra about her because there are already too many hard things he has to do. She is obviously practising her spell craft and getting seriously good, and the kiss she gives him for his birthday shows her insecurity about what may come in the future but that she wants to take a step there while she can to make sure he knows how true she is. Stealing the Griffindor sword from the office is brilliant, and she justs continues to do what she needs to do and not be a clinging vine - could you imagine any of our heros marrying or wanting to marry a Pansy or a Lavendar.

Ginny at the end sitting with her mother - someone wrote here that after the battle Harry didn't choose to go off with Ginny, but Ron and Hermione so he loves them better, but I think Harry knew he and R and H had to wrap up things and he hoped to find Dumbledore (portrait) to do that, and the three of them were given the task of destroying the Horcruxes. (Also I don't thinkyou can have a choice like that between really, reallyclose friends you love them all). Also I think he also could see that it was important for Molly to have Ginny there at that particular time, and as Harry thought, he and Ginny had days, weeks and possibly years to be togeter, so he could wait for that. Heck, we can all wait for that once we understand it will happen. so I think that was fitting. And shows great maturity that they both were where they needed to be rather than where they wanted to be.

And we see that they are so great together in the epilogue, about which much has been written elsewhere, but the breif glimpse we get is that Harry and Ginny are a good team, tuned into one another, also a good parenting team, and together with a happy family, and as much as I have often made jokes about Happy Family Times, that is all Harry ever really wanted and now he is content with a non-spectacular life, not "a few weeks stolen out of someone's elses's life", but his own real life with real caring people, Isn't that great. But I am looking forward to the encyclopdia to see what she pulls from her sleeve!

How did you feel about Fred dying?
I, ofcourse, was sad. I never thought one of the twins would die, but I think it showed how everyone in the war was vunerable.

How did you feel about Percy's redemption?
I thought it was great that Percy went back with his family. I also loved that before Fred died that he and Percy had made up. It made Fred's death a bit more comforting.

What did think of Mrs. Weasley's fierce and triumphant duel with Bellatrix?
Loved it. One of my favorite parts of the book. I loved how she killed Bellatrix in order to save her children. It just shows how motherly Mrs. Wealsey is.

Was Ginny significant - too little or too much?
Ginny is one of my favorite charachters, so I was glad that we saw her as much as we did. I didn't think we would see her very often, because I thought Harry would push her away more. I was glad to see she was in the battle and I loved how her, Neville, and Luna were the leaders of DA.
bookworm101
Grrrr... Percy. The biggest coward there is. He only came back because LV took over the MoM and he was terrified! His precious Scrimigeor (or however you pronounce that) died, so the only other option was to come running back to his mommy! What a loser.

I am STILL in shock that Fred died. Fred and George are my FAVORITE characters and it is SO sad to see one of the famous Weasley twins dying. So sad. So, so, so....*sob*

For the whole "killing Bellatrix" thing, all I can say is, GO MRS. WEASLEY! it is so nice to see her...come into the light and actually DO something for a change. I mean, I kind of thought Molly being in the Order was pointless, but killing ole Lestrange made it all worth it.

Ginny! Oh where to begin! I thought she was in the book WAY too little. I wanted her to be at Harry's side when he fought off the Horcruxes and LV. I wanted her to be with him every little moment. She only saw him like, three times! No wonder they had three kids, they had A LOT of catching up to do!

How do you feel about Fred dying?
I hated it! but I knew that some Weasley's just had to die in this last book, but it disappoints me that it had to be him. I was thinking rather Ron or Ginny, or both. Maybe even Arthur, after all JKR was considering him until he got that reprieve. But yeah, Fred's death shocked me and almost brought me to tears. I didn't cry though because it just wasn't very dramatic to me.

How do you feel about Percy's redemption?
It was weird, but I'm glad that he got some sense knocked back into him and returned to his family. When he showed up though I was like "WTH". It was just a little to late, his apology was rushed, and his family was very forgiving. He got off too easy is what I think. It was funny when he resigned though and surprising that Percy actually had a sense of humor!

What did you think of Mrs Weasley's fierce and triumphant duel with Bellatrix?
That was the most funniest thing ever, having Molly scream that curse word! Haha laugh.gif . She also proved me wrong showing that she could fight in a duel and win especially against Bellatrix who I beleieve is one of the most talented witches in the series. But I guess when it comes to her children, you don't wanna mess with Molly Weasley.

Was Ginny significant - too little or too much?
She was just right in this book, although I do think that JKR was pushing it when she wrote how Ginny threw herself at Harry on his birthday. dry.gif I was actually starting to tolerate their relationship until that happened. I do like it though that JKR didn't shove her character too much to the fore front but stuck strictly to just highlighting the trio. The less of Ginny, the better!
xxkrakenslayerxx
How do you feel about Fred dying?
I absolutely HATED it. Fred and George were two of my favourite characters in the series, and George's eargetting blasted off was bad enough! I was crying and laughing during Fred's final moments because of how sad it was, yet funny to see Fred still had a sense of humor even as he's dying.

How did you feel about Percy's redemption?
I thought that it was good that Percy got some sense knocked back into him. I despised him through books 5 and 6 and most of 7. It made me happy to see that he battled with his parents in the Final Battle, and it made me cry when he was crying over Fred's dead body.

What did you think of Mrs Weasley's fierce and triumphant duel with Bellatrix?
I'm half-in-half with this. As much as I loved the scene with Molly and Bella, I still had wished that Neville had gotten to her instead. I understand why Molly did it, because Ginny had almost got killed, but to me - especially since Neville is one of my favourite character - I thought that he should have gotten revenge on Bella.

Was Ginny significant - too little or too much?
Really, I could care less about Ginny. Her character - to me - was just 'there'. Of course, I always had thought that Harry and Ginny would get together and get married after I read book 6, but I never really liked her.

I HATED that Mrs. Weasley was the one to take down Bellatrix.

I share this sentiment. While I understand that Mrs. Weasley was reeling from Fred's death and was, in no way, about to allow Bellatrix to kill her daughter, I really felt that Neville should have been the cause of Bellatrix's demise. The series has gradually built-up that scenario -- we learn that Bellatrix was the villain who is responsible for the insanity of the Longbottom's; in OotP, we finally catch a glimpse of the Longbottom's and see firsthand what has become of them; later, in OotP, we see Neville take on Bellatrix in a bid for vengeance... then, nothing. I felt as though the joy of seeing Ms. Lestrange meet her bitter end was somewhat lessened by the fact that the most unlikely character was the cause of it. Bellatrix should have received her just desserts at the hands of Neville.

Also, while I predicted a Weasley death (and waited, with bated breath, praying that Ron wouldn't be the casualty), I did not forsee it being Fred. I was of the opinion that Percy would make amends with his family, only to die in the midst of the battle. In all honesty, as I was not a big fan of Percy, I would have rather it had been him. I do, however, find it fitting that Fred died with a grin on his face -- I can't imagine him going out any other way.

CarGate
Wouldn't it have been nice to find out if the weasly shop survived? The hardest part about the end of the tale is not knowing what really happened to those we love! We can discuss and theorize as much as we like, but unless jo tells us, we will never know! And there is no more harry potter to come. Terribly sad.

How do you feel about Fred dying?
I needed a 2 hours break of reading coz I had a nervous breakdown and I started to sob into my pillow and still I am not over it...I am such a Fred fan..duh I was a big fan of the twins from the very beginng but especially fred....it just hit me very hard...I was like "kill everyone but not the twins, lupin or tonks." what did she do? kill all of em...that was sooooo mean aaaa...i could really frak out now...

love ya fred R.I.P

How do you feel about Percy's redemption?
I really hoped that this would happen and I was really really glad that it actually did...just the fact that fred died afterwards didnt really let me enjoy this....poor perce comes back and witnesses his bros death sad.gif

What did you think of Mrs Weasley's fierce and triumphant duel with Bellatrix?
I absolutely HATE that man..what was this?? I mean at least Tonks should have get rid of her!!! The best would be neville of course but what the heck has this to so with Molly? I mean she did well and stuff but being the "mother" of the whole potter plot it didnt really fit to her to kill...ok if she had killed rookwood but bellatrix...what the heck???

Was Ginny significant - too little or too much?
I wished ginny would have died instead of fred...sb I couldnt care less bout....I seriously dislike her...idk why but I always did and always will...
too much for me coz I wished she would just shut up and go away *lol*
