I am hoping that there is not another club like this (I did a search)...

Well, being a Snape/Alan fan myself, I thought that it would be entertaining (not just for me) to have a little unofficial fan club for him. Conversing and exchanging theories about Snape, and just talking about our wishes that concern Alan Rickman. wink.gif

If there is already a post for Alan Rickman (as a fan club, type of thing), feel free to delete this, Dana.

Umm... I really don't have much more to say. I'll edit my post when I devise more cunning schemes *cough*... I mean, when I think of what else can be included in this club.

Gah. I don't like my posts.

MOD EDIT : Editing title of thread - changing thread to purely Snape/Alan discussions.
zyra123
Ooooh....Alan Rickman...hmm...sexy, sexy man especially his voice!! wink.gif

If you like him, you just *have* to buy 'Sense and Sensibility'. I know! I've said it numerous time but he's definitely gorgeous in it!! Enigmatic, stable and with smile-to-die-for!! tongue.gif Like I said in the other thread that Dana had opened (the one with Texas video), I really like the part when he carries Kate Winslet in from the rain... *sigh dreamily* Why can't there be man like that anymore??

And have you watch 'Rasputin'? Well, he's not really gorgeous in it, but that's simply because he had to, for the role, see... but he's really good in it. I can simply drowned in his voice! And he play the role perfectly...

Man, I just love that guy... tongue.gif

Later!!
Louise
Aw, you guys know already how much I love the delightful Mr Rickman.... wink.gif

'Truly, Madly, Deeply' arrived today...I'm planning on watching that tonight so I'll let y'all know what he's like in it....not overly keen on the moustache he's sporting, but I'm sure I'll overlook that..... tongue.gif
Wednesday_Adams
Ah, I keep pushing my parents to take me to the video store so I can buy Sense and Sensibility, yet they are just not giving in.

I suppose my more cunning idea shall work the next time I try.

Alan!!

Eek. Many apologies for my overly obsessive behavior...

Ah!!!! Alan Rickman…just ‘love’ him. Snape’s his best I think. I do like him in Robin Hood as well and die-hard (all the things he’s in that he plays a bad guy…I do love bad men) in ‘blow dry’ (good movie) he has a tattoo of a pair of cutting scissors on his foot…kinda cool…have u all seen that one? I got truly madly deeply last summer…he sings in it which is cool…but he doesn’t look at all hot…for xmass my sister sending me over “We know where you live! Live!” I never got to see it as am in America so I cant wait…lol
I am defiantly going to his next theatre show…I wasn’t a big fan of him when he did his last one in New York so I didn’t go…but next time…I’ll be there. lol

doesnt he had really big hands too?

Toni!

My favourite character is Sirius... But, belive me or not, I like Snape a lot !! xD Of course, Alan performing as Severus help the character!! He's such a great actor... and that voice... rolleyes.gif Can I be part of the club???
Louise
OMG...you guys have just got to see 'Truly, Madly, Deeply'.....I really don't cry that easily (contrary to what Zyra and Ash might say... tongue.gif ) .....but I really did tear up at the end of that film. It's one of the most touching, sweet, sincere and tender films I've seen in a long time. It was wonderful to see Alan in a role like that, even if he did have the foulest moustache in the history of foul moustaches.

And then, in an Alan-filled night of ecstasy, I watched 'Judas Kiss' which was....er....interesting, I guess would be the best way of describing it. Alan was slightly cute in it, but I really thought that he and Emma Thompson were there solely for comic relief which did his remarkable talent no favours at all. It's like having Anthony Hopkins in a soap opera....a very sad use of an incredible, theatre-quality actor, but there we go....

That's what I like about Alan. He's obviously a very intelligent, considerably talented and highly sexy man who is capable of doing pretty much anything he puts his mind to, but on top of all that, hes still got a sense of humour and doesn't take himself too seriously. That's pretty rare - humility and talent don't usually go together.... wink.gif

I've got Dogma coming any day now....I'll give you my verdict on that when I see it......

EDIT : I'e just been reviewing these posts to change the tags on the image and I've just noticed that I didn't say hi to Ginny up there!! ^^ Sorry, mate!! I'm sure you're more than welcome here in the Slytherin dungeon, right Wednesday? wink.gif
Wednesday_Adams
I'll break up the discussions (because I am so evil) and show off another image of Alan, because we obviously all love him and his silky voice:

Dogma

Wow, he certainly looks different with wings... wink.gif

Oh I just love Dogma... (Robin hoods still my favourite)

I know I asked before but have any of you seen blow dry?...for real watch it...

He’s in a new movie...a Russian one, or is it German? One of them...doubt I’ll get to see it and I wouldn’t understand it anyways.

Have u all seen Quigley down under? He’s funny in that one, and he gets shot…
and he's hot in it!

Toni!
Wednesday_Adams
sad.gif

I have only seen him in Love Actually and the Harry Potter movies. I only got to see LA because they were playing it on HBO and I could watch it secretly in my room. wink.gif

I'm either too young to see the others, they won't come on television, or because my parents just won't take me to the video rental store. Besides, my mind is already set on seeing The Rocky Horror Picture Show at the moment. biggrin.gif

'Tis hard being 13.
whomeisi
Ah that sucks...and am sorry that your 13…but really its cool coz you have your whole life to watch movies…lol

Well when you do get to watch them...when ever that is, you'll like them (lol)

‘Dana Scully’ have u watched Dogma yet...I swear its on the this one channel over here like every weekend...and Galaxy quest was on the week before...I made my mum watch it with me...she wasn’t impressed...lol.

You know the TV program ‘Red Dwarf’ he was suppose to be in that…like when it first started…I don’t remember who told me that but some one did, that would have been cool…maybe…

Anyways there is that new movie “Manchester something” I don’t know the full name and it says he’s in it…its not out till whenever though, and also there’s that Russian Movie that’s he’s gonna be in…am thinking they might be the same…not sure though.

Oh Red Dwarf by the way to the (Americans) is a TV show…kind of sick humour at times but funny none the less.

Oh wow! Please sign me up. I love Alan in absolutely everything (and nothing wink.gif )
I own quite a few of his flicks, I even have a copy of the 1978 BBC production of Romeo and Juliet (his first known piece on film)
I also own Love actually, Quigley down under, Sense and sensibility, The January man, Help! I'm a fish, Galaxy quest, Truly madly deeply, Judas kiss, Die hard and Die hard with a vengence, Robin Hood: Prince of thieves. Harry 1, 2 and 3.
I've also seen Dogma, An awfully big adventure and The winter guest.
For those of you who have seen The Winter Guest, did you pick Alan out in the film? I did first time. and did you know that Sean Biggerstaff who plays Oliver Wood in the Potter films was one of the kids in the winter guest?
Louise
You lucky thing you, having a copy of the Romeo and Juliet production! I've seen some photos and things, but getting the stage productions on video is so hard. Of course I have the obligatory Die Hard too, I mean, no self-respecting Alan Rickman fan should be without that one...and I've only recently added Truly, Madly, Deeply and Judas Kiss to my collection....

I haven't seen The Winter Guest yet unfortunately...I know he directed it and I gather he has a small cameo role in it too though...is the film worth getting, do you think? I know it had pretty good reviews, but then again, so did films like Titanic and Mars Attacks and they really sucked... wink.gif

As for loving Alan in absolutely everything (and nothing)...well, what can I say? Sounds like you and me think alike, mate.. wink.gif Have you seen that photo of him in a kilt? And, of course, the famous shot in Dogma....OMG, I'm so in love with that man.....**drools**

Doesn't his voice just give you shivers? wink.gif
zyra123
Oh wow... you guys are so dedicated... buying loads of DVD's he's in... keeping track of what he's doing... it makes me almost impossible to catch up... I've only seen him in a couple of movies besides HP... and that's it... humph, some fan I am eh? sleep.gif

But anyway, you're right there mate... his voice *does* makes me shivers.......
Rickmansmissus
Of course I've seen him in a kilt! I've also seen him posing naked (top half) with a Romanesque statue. I've also seen pics of him nekkid in Dark Harbor (drool)
The Winter Guest is definately a collector's item. The film was rather complex in it's storylines. There is certianly more than meets the eye.

Alas, I am still trying to get my parents to take me to the video rental store.

Alas, I am watching Sense and Sensibility now. Beautiful movie. biggrin.gif
Louise
Oh, Wednesday!! I feel so sorry for you!! If I could travel to the States and take you to a video rental store myself, I would do!!! tongue.gif I guess you could always content yourself for the time being with screenshots....they're better than nothing and help stave off the pangs until one of the cable channels decide to show the films.

Rickmansmissus.....Alan's naked in Dark Harbour??!!!! OMG!!!! I have to get that!!!! I'm just gonna take a little detour to Amazon a second....I'll be right back..... tongue.gif

Ooh, before I go, tell me....is there any film where he actually finds a bit of happiness and actually does get the girl at the end? Coz the thing is that when I watched Robin Hood at the cinema when it first came out, I remember me and my mates (we were all about 15 at the time....I had impeccable taste, even back then... wink.gif ) all said that we couldn't understand how come Marion chose Robin Hood over the Sheriff?! I mean, come on!!! Who in their right mind would choose Kevin 'I couldn't-speak-with-a-decent-British-accent-if-you-prodded-me-up-the-backside-with-an-arrow' Costner over Alan Rickman??!!! That girl seriously needed her head examined.... tongue.gif Plus the ending of Truly, Madly, Deeply was so incredibly sad.....I can't believe Juliet Stevenson went off with that other bloke either.... tongue.gif

EDIT : Another BTW....you guys got any good recommendations for some Snape/Slytherin fanfic/fanart sites?

Well, Dana, doesn't he end up marrying Marianne at the end of Sense and Sensibility (oooh, I was surprised because I thought Eleanor and Edward were the ones getting married, boy, did I receive a surprise)? Oh, how I wish I had more movies for reference. wink.gif

EDIT : Another BTW....you guys got any good recommendations for some Snape/Slytherin fanfic/fanart sites?

And, I usually visit fanfiction.net, of course, to read about Severus, but they don't always have the best stories. There is Slytherin Rising Part One: Sleeping Death (the beginning of a series), which is an alternative and parallel universe story, in the minds of the Slytherins. In this one, Snape has a daughter, develops a relationship with a beautiful 'Original Character' (who you'll grow to love as the story progresses and before the relationship even starts), and the author tends to play favorites and base most of the story in Snape's point-of-view. It really is a fantastic story.

Then, there is The Power of the Quill, which is a WIKTT marriage law story (Severus/Hermione, I know, bad), but the way it is written is magnificent, the amount of emotion put in is fantastic. The story is extremely hilarious and explaining, especially the scene where Severus meets Hermione's parents, first he insults her and then end up trying to tackle Mr. Granger with Mrs. Granger wacking him on the back of the head with her purse.

Then, finally, my own, which shall progress to something decent, heh... Serpents and MuggleBorns Part 1: Dolosus Certamen

Wensday_Adams, I am glad you got to watch Sense and Sensibility, it really is an engaging movie, am so pleased you relished it. I know quite a few ‘Alan Rickman fans’ who aren’t especially keen on this movie, there again they tend to only like his work when he is in the ‘spot light’ which doesn’t really make sense to me, subjectively I enjoy all work he’s in, even ‘The Winter Guest’ which he was in it for what 5 mins at the most…
I would vow to say that you should rent out “Robin Hood, Prince of Thieves” next, if you are sanctioned that is. It really does show the immense power of his skill, along with Die Hard and Quigley Down Under…though Blow Dry is rather funny along with Dogma (that’s a point in ‘blow Dry’ Dana_Scully,

Ok he doesn’t get the girl…but he already lost her so it doesn’t count but it does work out real good for him as in a way he gets his wife back and her ‘girl friend’ (hope I didn’t spoil it for you if you aint seen it yet)…brill movie, watch it)
Anyways Robin Hood is funny, exciting, everything all in one so I’d say rent it out…oh and I bet your parents would like it too…he really is funny in it, well to me he was but I do have an ‘o-so-sick’ sense of humour…
Well catch ya’z later’z

Ooh, Wednesday, I loooove that sig!!! I think I might be using that meself, if that's okay of course, after Christmas....(Don't want to get shot or ripped apart by the werewolves in SPELL, you know... wink.gif )

And I know that Alan got the girl in 'Sense and Sensibility', but the trouble is that I thought Marianne was kind of settling for second best there so I didn't feel that little pang of satisfaction you get when two people who are totally suited finally get it together, you know?

I think I'll give Blow Dry a go next then...along with Dark Harbour, which, I gather, has some nuddy Alan in it? tongue.gif Yummy, yummy, yummy.....

I'm in the process of working through those fanfics you recommended too, Wednesday...I'll let you know what I think when I've finished them I did come across a very sweet one last night though that I thought I'd mention....Open Letter Another Snape/Hermione one, I'm afraid, but very tastefully done, I assure you)

On a slightly more serious note though, girls...those signatures of yours....as wonderful as you know I think Alan is, let's not take advantage of my soft spot, huh? wink.gif Let's cut 'em down a little please.... wink.gif
Rickmansmissus
I haven't seen Dark Harbor, but do have screen caps (that's how I know about the nudity <drool>)
I know a couple of great Snape fanart artists, Aquilla Severa is one at deviant art. I especially love the one titled, Mine, (it's HG/SS)
Also Melanie aka usagistu also at Deviant Art both I discovered at Potterotica.

Thinking of films where Alan gets the girl, would be Sense & Sensibilty, (technically) in Love Actually. & Blow dry.

If you want a real show of Alan's acting skill, I suggest Michael Collins. I re watched that film yesterday and it is incredible. But I must admit the film (out of the ones I have seen) that I was most disappointed in was Bob Roberts. Sadly Alan hardly gets a look in.
Louise
I can't thank you enough for pointing those sites out to me! Not only was there some seriously brilliant fanart there (which, as a mod, I should point out does contain material that is NC-17 rated, so is NOT suitable for the younger members of this forum) but it directed me onto a serious of really excellent fanfic archives called Ashwinder where there's loads of very tasteful and really well written Snape/Hermione fics as well as some brilliant angsty ones....

Ooh, the dark side really is delicious, isn't it!! I should have become a Slytherin ages ago.... tongue.gif I just can't believe the following that dear old Snape/Alan has out there....there are some really excellent Slytherin-ish sites out there.

Talking about Michael Collins, I downloaded a clip the other day of a video made by a fan which was basically clips from that film set to 'Erin Shore'...really moving. Very good indeed....only problem is that I have no clue where I got it from. tongue.gif If I find it, I'll let you know but I just really loved that music and it worked so well with the clips...particularly where Alan was crying....OMG.... tongue.gif

I'm trying to dig it out...I'll edit later if I find it...

EDIT : Ooh, I found it!! Not only that, but a whole site filled to bursting with Alan Rickman downloads, music videos, clips, piccies...absolute heaven!! Here's the Erin shore video and from that link, you'll be able to find all the other stuff.

Enjoy, guys!! tongue.gif

Oh, I have already told myself that that is the next movie I shall rent along with "The Addams Family Values" (heh, seeing camp counselors trying to corrupt the Addams' children would be amusing).

What is 'Blow Dry' rated? Because I believe that I have heard of it before...

I am searching for a book in which Alan Rickman does the narration. I had heard the name a few years back, but can not remember. Is anyone able to help me?

Not sure...he's done so much....much more than is listed on the IMDB. You could try here...that's a pretty good site, you should find what you're looking for there. If you wanted a copy of the recording, once you identify the title, you could try a search on Amazon or Ebay...someone's bound to have a copy. That's how I managed to track down a copy of Rasputin. Can you believe that some idiot actually deleted that title?!! I dunno...some people just don't know talent when they see it.

I'm revelling right now in the joy of finding a copy of 'Closetland' on video... tongue.gif It's very rare and exceptionally powerful material - certainly not for the faint-hearted, but from the clip I downloaded from that website I recommended the other day, Alan's performance was just absolutely outstanding. He really should have won an Oscar for it.

And I just loooove that image....OMG, I'm gonna be soooo spolied for choice after Christmas!!! tongue.gif Maybe I'll alternate....between that one (if you don't mind, of course!!) and Wednesday's...
Rickmansmissus
Thanks for the site smile.gif And sure you can use any of my sigs that I post. I make so many, (great subject matter) it's a shame to see them not used.

I found the name of the talking book, for anyone interested, it is called Return of the Native.

Thanks to the site Dana Posted with all the AR vids, I found the comic relief video with Jeremy Irons playing Severus. If you get a chance, watch it, it's a great laugh.

Snape's so cool, and i like them vids...it was hard to see them tho as my computer is stupid!
whats the book you're all going on about?

oh i saw a sexy pitcher of Mr Rickman...i'll try get it posted later on tonight!...lol

oh i carnt even get those vids up on my screen (which sux)...maybe santa will get me a new computer for xmas???

Louise
The book that we were talking about is called 'Return of the Native', as Rickmansmissus said in her post ( rolleyes.gif ). Alan did the voices on the talking (ie audio) version of the book, I think for the BBC but I could be wrong about that.

I feel so bad for you guys having trouble downloading those videos. Some of them are pretty big files, so if you haven't got broadband, then you're gonna be there an awful long time. Most of them play on Windows Media Player, which came pretty much as standard with most version of Windows since the Millenium edition.

People, if you ain't got Windows Media, then you are seriously in need of some new computers!! How can you even surf the internet??!!! It must drive you crazy, I honestly don't know how you manage. You better do some serious begging to your parents - you've still got a couple of days before Christmas!! tongue.gif Either that, or its an incentive to go out and get yourselves a part-time job and save up... wink.gif

Anywho, sexy pic of Alan??!! Ooh, bring it on!! Quick!!! tongue.gif
Wednesday_Adams
I have broadband, but I don't have Windows Media, mostly (and probably) because the computer I own is an iMac.

Dogma is hilarious! I have not seen the actual movie (I found the script on the writer's website-thingy), but I bet Alan must be fantastic in it. The Metatron!
Rickmansmissus
Wednesday, quick...run fast and jump on Santa...If you love Alan you will die laughing watching Dogma, not long til Christmas, so be a good girl and beg the man in the red suit for some comic relief.

And sexy Alan pic....Bring it on! I swear I've been good.

Hey, i posted 3 pitchers on the others post thingy, the one by Dana Scully..."you just got to see this" or something...yeah I saw "Snape" and just assumed it was this unofficial Alan Rickman thing...my bad... i will add this pitcher though:

And tell me does anyone know how to cut down pitchers? i mean u can do it in paint but then it never lets me use the site details as i changed the size? That’s why the other ones are so big...sorry about that.

i have windows media thingy and mine wouldn’t show up....for the vids...i think its coz my computer hates me, personally...and my lap top is an idiot too...its all English so i cant connect it up to my American stuff...ah the ire i feel towards computers!

so i visited Wensdays site...it looks cool, just thought i'd tell you, i didnt sign up tho, i should of....oh well

No worries, mate....I did the same thing myself just now.... tongue.gif Just goes to show, even the best of us have our off days, huh? Least I've got an excuse though....got pretty hammered last night..... tongue.gif

Anywho.....

(Delicious pic, BTW, mate....thanks for that.... wink.gif )

This shrinking images down....isn't there an option in most photoshop-type software to scale images down? There is in the free software that came with my computer....I'm not sure about paint, but if you do reduce it, as long as you save it as a file that's compatable with the forums (.jpg etc..) then I don't see why you should be having a problem. There is an option on Photobucket to reduce the size of your images too though so you don't have to fiddle around with it on your computer then. I guess that's all a little oss topic though, but if you're still having problems you could always PM me and we can try to figure it out through there. Worst comes to worst, you could always let me have the link if you find a really good pic and I can upload it to my Photobucket account.

As for Dogma, I'm still waiting for that to arrive (Grrrrr mad.gif tongue.gif ) but I have seen it before and from what I remember of it, it was pretty good. I'll let you know when I get it....I'm quite contented with Quigley and Michael Collins for the moment though.

BTW...do you guys have the same compulsion to see the end of the movie first to make sure Alan is okay before you watch the rest of it?! I'm terrible....I couldn't resist watching the end of Quigley first....**sob** OMG.....**sniff**.....Laura San whatsername actually prefered Tom Selleck to Alan?! I dunno..... tongue.gif

I just love’d Quigley down under…I was actually watching it was a part of a history class last year, oh man was I happy *,.;’sarcastic understatement.;’* he’s so mean in it…and then yeah he’s all thinking that, that other bloke cant shoot with a gun and "BANG" he’s dead…lol. I thought it was funny when he gives that one lad his coat and hat…so the good guy would shoot him insted...lol
Ok I’m going to try and shrink this pitcher I have….

ok it wouldnt work....which sux, so i'll just post it

Ooh, yeah!! I'm all for that, I reckon. It's about time that Snape had a chance at last, isn't it? Snape for DADA teacher!!! Reckon I'm gonna add that in my siggy..... wink.gif

And thanks for that picture....I've not seen that one before....he's rather dishy there, isn't he? **drools**

And that ending....OMG....wasn't it awful the way the poor guy just lay there, gasping his last while that sarcastic, smug **thing** Quigley just stood there?! tongue.gif Seriously though, I agree.....that film was pretty awesome. It's nice to see a film with a moral, and I've always been a fan of westerns anyway, so that one fitted in nicely with me really.

As for the image, it really has to have a http:// in front of it, so you'll have to upload an image to a website first. Doomed and I did quite an extensive explanation of that here that'll tell you how to go about uploading your images.

Good luck with it!! If you run into any problems, if you post in that support thread and either me or one of the other mods will help you out.

EDIT : After a quick discussion with Wednesday, it was decided that this thread shall henceforth be known as the Severely Obsessed Slytherin Society. Of course, it remains dedicated to our much beloved and highly misunderstood Professor Severus Snape, but now it'll be okay to talk about virtually anything Slytherin related too. Fanfic recommendations, fanart, websites that might be of interest, raving about the hotness of Alan, Jason, Tom (within reason.. wink.gif )....and I think we should make a little aside to dedicate a moment to the Dark Lord himself; the delectable, the delicious, the highly evil and outrageously handsome dreamboat, Ralph Fiennes, who is not getting anywhere near the attention he should do..... tongue.gif To whet your appetites just a little, get a load of these......(there's a little bonus Alan one in there.... wink.gif )

Thanks for changing the name, Dana. Hmm, I've been wanting to add my picture to Alan's picture in some way, shape, or form. That should help my obsession.

Oh, I just wrote a really touching moment between Snape and one of my leading characters in Serpents and Muggle-Borns. I love it!
Louise
Ooh, is that you in that image, Wednesday?

And no problems, mate... wink.gif Gotta do what we can for poor old maligned Snape, huh?

ohmy.gif Maybe... wink.gif

Snape is very important to me, I even tend to squeal when I see either his name or Lupin's name in the books... being a stereotypical adolescent... Yesh. I cannot wait till I get to the third book in my fanfiction, Snape might be receiving some teenage angst from one of my characters.
Louise
heh heh heh.... tongue.gif Well, if it is you, it's very nice to have a face to go with the posts!!! biggrin.gif If not, well....she's pretty whoever she is!!! tongue.gif

Anyway, yeah, Snape is rather growing in my little heart too. I've been thinking a lot about his character actually the last couple of days. I've been re-reading OotP again for a while now and whenever I see any bits with Snape in them, I've been trying to view them in a slightly different light to how I viewed them the first time I read it. Back then, I just saw him as a bit of a mean old thing, you know? But now....whether it's because I've been corrupted by fanfic, fanart or the delicious Alan himself, I don't know, but I'm really seeing multi-facets of Snape now....

I mean, take his reaction to Umbridge's inspection, for example. Umbridge was having a go at him just as much as she was with the other teachers, but she picked on him personally by alluding to his ex-Death Eater status which clearly touched a nerve with him, didn't it? The way he looked at Harry and then took out his anger on him....

Plus there's his Worst Memory, of course....poor guy. I've never been able to see the justification behind what the Marauders did to him. And they never did offer a particularly good explanation for it, did they? And then there's all those memories of him at home...his loneliness is pretty evident, isn't it? I think that, after long enough, that kind of isolation would drive anyone inwards in the end. It's no wonder he is the way he is.

As I said, I'm sure he just needs a hug, you know. wink.gif
TheMalfoyCousins
I think Snape's just a git....
Oh shut up Malfoy Cousin #1! I think he needs a little bit more than a hug if you know what I mean.....
No Malfoy Cousin #2, he's just gay.... in a sense...
He's not gay
Whatever, he's still a freak.... Odd little man... I bet he had a crush on James and Lily got there first
You're sick #1. and that doesn't explain why the Mauraders didn't like him
cause he was a weird freak with a crush on their friend! He didn't have a life!
Well, you don't have a life and I want to be part of your Alan Rickman club. And could you make sure that Malfoy Cousin #1 isn't allowed in it.
I don't want to be in it.
Don't lie

Merry Christmas to you all too. smile.gif (And join me up to the Snape for DADA club)

Wednesday, quick...run fast and jump on Santa...If you love Alan you will die laughing watching Dogma, not long til Christmas, so be a good girl and beg the man in the red suit for some comic relief.

I don't think Santa trusts me anymore since that whole Jason Isaacs incident last Christmas. wink.gif

The Marauders have certainly disappointed me, but at least James matured enough to save Severus from the wild beast named Moony wink.gif, although he was just probably saving Remus from a gazillion years in Azkaban...

Welcome and I'll set up Crabbe and Goyle in case #1 decides to sneak in...

By the way, Rickmansmissus, I love those pictures! biggrin.gif

Aw, come on now, girl!! You can't leave us hanging like that!! Do tell!! What Jason Isaacs incident?? It's gotta be better than my Alan Rickman incident that resulted in a broken DVD player... dry.gif

Oh, let's not be under any illusions here....James only saved Severus to save Lupin...he didn't do it because it was the right thing to do or because he cared about dear Severus being ripped into millions of tiny little pieces. I dunno...I'm still waiting to hear the justification for their treatment of him. Unless JKR comes up with something pretty good, then I may seriously go off the Marauders altogether. I mean, fancy criticising Pettigrew for being weak and cowardly when Lupin did the exact same thing? He could have stopped what was happening to Severus, but he didn't, he just sat there. I know he was afraid of losing his friends, but his morals still got a little screwed there, didn't they? Just goes to show that not everyone does the right thing all the time. So I reckon I'm going to forgive Severus his little indulgence in threatning to give Lupin and Sirius to the Dementors. He deserved a little revenge.

**tee hee** Yeah, welcome MalfoyCousin#2.... tongue.gif Come join us in our dark little common room....So Crabbe and Goyle are going to be our resident bouncers/doormen, are they? Nicey-nice.... tongue.gif Although we do always have the Basilisk at our disposal as well, you know... wink.gif That guy is quite obedient actually if you know how to control him..... tongue.gif So yeah, if that other guy shows up around here, he'll most likely be set upon by Crabbe, Goyle and the Basilisk....who has rather sharp fangs, you know..... wink.gif

And thanks for those piccies, Ruby!! I particularly liked the top one....a very natural, human look for dear Alan there. The bottom one was rather sweet too.....Mmm..... tongue.gif

(BTW, hope you don't mind, but I've converted those to links rather than the actual pictures themselves.....I'm a little worried about bandwidth at the moment....seeing as how we're upgrading to a new server soon and stuff...you know.... wink.gif )

So what about our Dark Lord then? Good avatars and siggies with Ralph in are pretty thin on the ground, aren't they? I'm surprised really, I thought that fans would be hitting Photoshop as soon as the announcement was made!! Anyone found any good sites?

Hmm thanks for the reminder about Ralph...must get on to that...hmm...

EDIT: Check this out! .... New Alan Movie!

Get excited Ladies!
Louise
heh heh heh.... tongue.gif Well, the thing is that I was getting ready for uni the other day which normally takes me about an hour or so (I know, I'm very vain....it's the Slytherin in me, I'm afraid... tongue.gif ) so I thought I'd indulge in a little Alan....in the classic Die Hard of course...(I mean, what else??!!)

So, I ejected my Love Actually DVD and left the tray open while I went to get the Die Hard one. I'm the proud owner of the four-disk special edition of Die Hard I and II complete with the motherload of DVD extras, you see, and I was so entranced with reading the back of the cover to see which part contained the most raw Alan footage with interviews and gallery images, that kind of thing, that I forgot I'd left the tray open and kind of walked straight into it and...er....crash, bang, wallop..... tongue.gif Broken DVD player..... dry.gif

I was rather distraught as you can imagine - not at the fact that I'd just broken a £300 machine that I had specially chipped to play region 1 RCE encoded DVD's - but at the fact that I couldn't see Alan before I went to uni..... tongue.gif Talk about screwed priorities..... rolleyes.gif

But the good news is that I've managed to fix it. The tray judders around a little as I eject DVD's now, but at least I still get to see Alan......**tee hee** I was thinking about writing to Alan, actually, to claim off him for the cost of the repairs - seeing as how it was his fault it got broken really - for being just so **bleepin** sexy, but sadly my mum didn't think I'd get away with it.....happy.gif He's such a nice guy though that I'm sure he would have pulled that chequebook of his out straight away.....

Now then...**does Joey-like dance** New Alan film!!! Whooppeee!!!! Pity we've got to wait so long for it though... dry.gif Still, I guess we have GoF and all the other films to keep us going in the meantime....he doesn't have any plans to do any theatre work in London this year by any chance, does he? Now that will definitely keep me going!!

And yep, we really must get on to some appreciation for our Dark Lord sometime too...he's languishing out there all alone right now...poor little Ralph.... tongue.gif

Well, we don't want things to grow too gruesome with the Basilisk, but I can let him trail you around, in case no one follows the rules.

Meh. It was simple. I went to the mall, sat on Santa's lap, and wished for Jason Isaacs for Christmas. The man claimed that I was too young and then, next thing I know, I'm strangling the man in the big red suit. (Warning: this is not a true story!)

Oh my gosh! That reminds me! One time I got my little portable DVD player taken away at school (because I was being an idiot and I wanted to see Alan Rickman so much) and so I had to live an entire week until I could see PoA again. sad.gif

Hello my fellow ‘severely Obsessive Slytherin mates’…how’s it going… I am happy to inform you all that I finally logged onto that “photo bucket thingy” and now I can cut, twist, move and so on with my pitchers…yey! So no-more extremely large photos of the man well all love…no not Santa… Alan Rickman!
Now that this is a club for all Slytherin’s I can rant and rave about how sexy Jason Isaac is…oh boy this’ll be fun. I just about love all his movies. The Patriot (sp)…wow excellent move…one of his best; of course him in Peter pan last year was another fab one… oh I don’t half love my bad guys…am not to keen on Mr Draco though… not my type…at all. lol, saying that I have dated a lot of blonde guys… but…no, not my type. He’s cute though.

Oh I nearly forgot, I found this about a month ago, its old and you may of read it already but what the heck, I’ll post it… its an interview with Mr Rickman…its funny.

DIFFICULT, WHAT ME?

So Dana, you are the “proud owner of the four-disk special edition of Die Hard I and II complete with the motherload of DVD extras” are you? Is there an interview with the Rickmaster on it? If so you’re a lucky duck!

Ahhhhh!!!!! It’s nearly Christmas! I can’t wait…
