Thanks, I use iMovie on my iMac, heh.

Well, I found myself watching the family's VHS copy of Peter Pan and gushing over Jason Isaacs, before switching over to Galazy Quest and obsessing over Alan Rickman. biggrin.gif And now, my list is almost finished. Well, not really, but Rocky Horror Picture Show isn't at the top anymore because my bestest best friend got me the DVD for Christmas! Now, I shall only worry about seeing either Michael Collins (right title?) or Dark Harbor. Huzzah.
eowynmaiar
I am Severely Obsessed with Alan Rickman. blink.gif smile.gif cool.gif

Have you seen Truly Madly Deeply huh.gif
Wednesday_Adams
Oh, yes, I managed to catch that last week and I absolutely fell in love with it. The end made me cry, it was so sweet, and I just adore Alan in that movie.
Rickmansmissus
Seen Truly Madly Deeply? I sure have, only around a few hundred times. I have quite an extensive Alan Rickman video collection. smile.gif I just brought the special edition Die Hard today, I found it on sale! (yay me!)

One of my favourite parts in TMD, is when Jame (Alan) tips water on Claire's (Juliette's) head, singing

"The weather man,
says it's fine today,
there's not a cloud,
to come my way,
but it's raining,
raining in my heart."

I always crack up laughing at that part.
Louise
Ooh, another member!! Welcome eowynmaiar!! biggrin.gif Another Slytherin to corrupt.....**tee hee** tongue.gif

QUOTE
I love your sig Louise, where did you get it?

biggrin.gif **blushes** I'm very pleased to say that I actually made it myself!! I was sooo chuffed with the way it came out!! It's far from perfect, but it had everything in there and it came out more or less as I imagined...and I'm starting a bit of a campaign for Emily Watson as Bella so I thought I'd stick her in as well!! wink.gif

And now, after reading the last couple of posts, looks like I gotta go get me the Peter Pan DVD too....I taped it off the telly, but if there's Jason Isaacs-containing special features on it, then I'm just gonna have to get it, aren't I? tongue.gif I dunno...I'll never have money....

Wednesday.... biggrin.gif Most excellent video there!! I particularly liked the Snape and Lucius bits!! And I really liked the ending....I'm glad you eventually managed to get it to work! And if you have to choose between Dark Harbor and Michael Collins....it's a tough one, but I'd go for Dark Harbor....you'll see why when you watch it... wink.gif I'm dying to talk about it with you guys, so you just have to get it soon!! It's a PG so your parents shouldn't be too bad about getting it for you...I imported mine from Canada and I think I only gave something like $7 for it. It's probably cheaper for you in the States.

I've also come across what has to be THE best and most well written fanfic about Snape I've ever read, but it's a H/SS slash - a very tastefully done one though, and there is an absolutely brilliant storyline to it. I'm not sure whether I should be recommending an NC-17 story here though, so if anyone is interested in reading it, please PM me and I'll send you the link.

Plus, one final thing.....I actually dreampt about Snape last night.... biggrin.gif ....not Alan, I've had quite a few of those...but Snape...in full sneering, Slytherin glory....I won't say anything else cos it was kind of NC-17 rated in itself...but suffice to say that I have one HUGE grin on my face this morning.... biggrin.gif

Rickmansmissus
Ah, yes, the good ol' Snape dream. Is there any better way to wake up?

Event Horizon is on telly at the moment with the most delectable Jason Isaacs. And I most definately reccomend the Peter Pan dvd, lots of Jason Isaacs goodness there!

The name Emily Watson doesn't ring a bell to me. I checked her filmography at the internet movie database (love that site) and noticed a few familiar movies, none of which I have seen.
I must check them out.
She does seem to have the look for Bellatrix, well it's the look I imagined. And the fact that she is from the UK only helps the cause.

I must find somewhere to purchase dvd's like Dark Harbor from. We don't have many of Alan's films available to buy here in Australia, I did find one site, but they didn't deliver to Australia sad.gif
I was lucky to pick up Romeo and Juliet, a video store was selling it off as an ex rental and I picked it up for $2.00 Australian. That's how I've managed to get a few of his movies.

One actor who I'd like to see in the HP movies as a Slytherin is Gerard Butler, he did a fantastic job as the phantom in Phantom of the Opera.
None_Elf_Ear
All right.

First of all, I came to join you for the fondness I have for Prof.Snape. Do not ask my why, yet. I still try to clear the many reasons in my mind. I feel for him, for the way he was treated as a youngster, for the way he is judged as an adult. I consider him a very lonely and not-understanded person. And I am sorry for that.

I also think Alan is a wonderful person to act as him. I have seen him before in RH : Prince of Thieves, S&S, Rasputin and some other movies and I have always admired his acting talent.

So, what else do I need in order to be accepted in the club ?
Louise
Aw, that was lovely!! **sniff** Poor Snape....I feel so sorry for him when you put it like that....mostly because I remember people in school who were treated like he was and it always makes me sad that normally such decent people are capable of such cruelty towards others......**sigh**

I was very disappointed in Sirius and Lupin when I read that part though.....

Anywho, Wednesday's the head-honcho around here, but I'm sure she won't mind me making the presumption of saying that you're very welcome here! biggrin.gif

Alan is lovely though, isn't he? **sighs dreamily** I've liked him for years, but I didn't actually fall rather obsessively and somewhat creepily ( tongue.gif ) in love with him until I saw that 'In Demand' video that Texas made.....OMG......

And then there's the nakedness in 'Dark Harbor', of course... tongue.gif

Ooh, by the way, Ruby....there's another shot in that film I meant to tell you about....while he does have shorts on, unfortunately ( tongue.gif ), there is a close up of him being scrubbed down after getting poison ivy which was rather nice.... wink.gif He's not got a bad body at all going on beneath those robes, ya know... tongue.gif

EDIT : Ooh, guys, have I got a treat for you!! tongue.gif Looky here!!!

Actually, you know....the whole site has some brilliant images!! Click here, quick!!

Alan fest!!!! Yippee!!! biggrin.gif
Rickmansmissus
Whoa! That's all I can say and grrr! wink.gif

Thanks for that Louise, you've made a great start to the day for me.

Have any of you seen Event Horizon? Tell ya what, Jason is smokin' in that film, and I mean literally (he smokes cigarettes, ha ha)
You also get a nice view of his body, he has shorts on though, still can't complain when it comes to the flesh wink.gif
The only down thing is he does a classic Alan Rickman thing, he dies in the film (boo hoo sad.gif )
eowynmaiar
Mmmmmm, nice photo from Dark Harbour, thanks Dana.
None_Elf_Ear
I am currently admiring the pictures from the site you named above, Dana, as I am reading the information too. Any new thing to learn about him is pleasant and good to know, after all wink.gif

Thank you for the welcome, and for allowing me to join you. I hope I shall not disappoint by any reasons the members of this club.

I am glad you agree with what I have written about the way Severus was treated when he was young. This was not fair to be done, and I hope Dumbledore tried to make this easier for him, I hope he noticed what he was being through. Severus comes from a not-so-nice-and-cushy family (I remember the little boy, watching silently and terrified his parents' quarell, that Harry saw in the Pensive), and then came the treating which James& co. applied to him, not fair and human at all. I had the same opinion as you after reading that specific part.
Dracoluver
Hmm...I just saw "Sense and Sensibility", and you can guess why I'm here... tongue.gif Could I join your club too? I didn't read all the 8 pages of this thread before though, cause now I can only come on the internet for about half an hour, lol.

I was so glad with the ending in "Sense and Sensibility"! My mum was a bit disappointed, but I couldn't have been happier tongue.gif . It's a great movie too!

And I haven't seen any other Alan movie except the HP ones and "Sense and Sensibility", so I was wondering if I could ask you a favour, lol. Could you tell me which are the best Alan movies? I'll search every library to rent the DVD's wink.gif
Louise
Hey there, Sophie!! I was wondering when you'd find us over here, being the Draco fan you are... tongue.gif Welcome!! biggrin.gif

So glad y'all enjoyed those pics....I really did too....although to see the movie was just....oh....you just gotta see it... tongue.gif

As for the best Alan movies though...mmm...that's a tough one because they're all good in their own way. I guess it would depend how old you are...what's not to risque, you know? wink.gif

I guess it's got to be Die Hard really, although that does carry an 18 rating, I don't think there's anything in it that's really that bad...nothing you haven't seen before probably. There's quite a lot of blood and 'f' words, but other than that....

Then there's Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, of course....the unforgettable Sheriff completely stole the film from the naff-accented Kevin Costner.

Closetland is undoubtedly his defining, shining moment when the true range and incredible screen presence of this unbelievably talented man is really felt....but it's not easy viewing by any means, and I think that unless you have a really strong stomach, that one probably should wait until you're at least 18...I'm not sure what the rating is but there's abuse depicted in it which your parents might have real problems with if they caught you watching it... wink.gif

Maybe Galaxy Quest would be one of the best to recommend....he was brilliant in that....and Michael Collins is at least educational...as is Rasputin.... wink.gif

Dark Harbor is good is you fancy seeing Alan as you've never seen him before ( tongue.gif ) but it's not one of his best really....it was a cheaply made film, but I thought it had a pretty good twist ending.....

All in all, I think Sense, Galaxy Quest and Robin Hood are the ones I'd really recommend for you. I wouldn't want to get angry letters from anyone's parents for recommending the others.... tongue.gif Not until you're at least 18 anyway.... wink.gif
Wednesday_Adams
All shall bow down to me! As Dana beautifully quoted 'The Head Honcho'! Alright, ego has slowly deflated itself. biggrin.gif

And alas! Two new members, 'tis my lucky day all, along with the fact that J.L. Matthews has updated her wonderful story and I have watched my new Rocky Horror Picture Show DVD for the fifth time. smile.gif

Eep! That picture of Alan from Dark Harbor made me squeal in delight, while on the phone with a friend (who has recently criticized me for my obsession over an older man dry.gif ) and I could practically hear him give that stereotypical scoff of his.

I would love to see Closetland. I once saw a fanmade music video dedicated to it and I nearly fainted with joy.
Rickmansmissus
Wednesday, don't worry about the flack you're getting from your friends. I'm an older fan and I cop it severely all the time. I simply ignore it and picture Alan wink.gif

Alan movies for people under 18, well I can definately reccomend, Help! I'm a fish. You don't see Alan as it is animated, but you hear him sing. He is quite humorous in it too.

Truly Madly Deeply, is another one you could get away with, also Bob Roberts (I think)
Dracoluver
Thanks for welcoming me! biggrin.gif I wrote all the films down, so hopefully I'll find them next time I go to the library smile.gif Thanks for the help, Louise and Rickmansmissus! smile.gif

Don't worry, my parents really aren't that strict. I think me and my mum watched almost all the DVD's in our library, and some weren't really for 14 year olds, but my mum was cool with it tongue.gif

Ah, like Rickmansmissus said, don't worry about that . Lol, it reminds me of one of my friends who said I was in love with my favourite teacher because I like him. I just laughed when she said it, but for some time I got a bit paranoid that I really was in love with him rolleyes.gif I don't want to know what she'll say when I tell her that I'm an Alan fan now laugh.gif

Rickmansmissus
All the more fun for you Sophie, being an Alan fan wink.gif

Just out of curiosity how old are people here, I'm 26 *cough* *cough*
Louise
Ha!! I'm older than you!! tongue.gif That means I'm closer to Alan's age so I get him first!!! **tee hee** I'm...er....27.... tongue.gif

Well, it's a year closer, isn't it? biggrin.gif

I'm into older guys anyway.....they have the maturity and experience...anyway, they reckon guys mature more slowly than women....like fine wine and good cheese.... wink.gif So, mentally, Alan should be about thirty really, so I guess the age gap isn't that bad.... biggrin.gif

Lol! laugh.gif Hm, I'm 14...but as I'll never ever be able to meet him, I don't think that matters that much lol
Louise
Hey, never say never!!!!

As I told my mum last week during a rather...er....giggly conversation about Alan following yet another screening of Dark Harbor, when she said the same thing to me....how does she know? I mean...stranger things have happened...if I ever realise my ambition of becoming a writer I might meet him at some posh function in London......tell him how much I lurve his work....and how dumb I think the reporters are who've interviewed him so far for failing to understand and respect him and....then...ya know.....

Yeah, okay....I know....wacko.gif tongue.gif But a girl's got to have her fantasies now, hasn't she? tongue.gif

Give me a few months and the clock will have turned. Any way who says you get him first. There's no way I'm going down with out a fight. tongue.gif

I was looking at my extensive Alan collection, and was seeing what the ratings were to reccomend films. Sadly majority of Alan's films are 15 years and older.

I can reccomend Romeo and Juliet though (made in 1978!) It has Alan as Meccutio wearing white tights and a codpiece blink.gif

Wow we must all be on a meet Alan wavelength as I told my partner the other day in a matter-of-fact fashion, that if I ever got wind of Alan being in Australia, I'd be on the next plane there and if I could get there faster by car I would.
(makes you wish apparation was really possible wink.gif)

EDIT: Gifts for my fellow Rickman-iacs

Alan as a RADA Graduate

EDIT 2: Rumor - Alan is to appear in 'The Hitch hiker's guide to the Galaxy' movie. As the voice of Marvin the paranoid android.
Dracoluver
Whoa! Thanks for the pic! tongue.gif When I saw it I just sat there, stunned wink.gif

i agree 100%... its a shame he's so old though, its kinda like having the hots for your older, male, history teacher who you can tell was a real hottie back in the day, or your grandad...(Rickmans in his 50's right? 58?)...lol

has anyone seen "we know where you live, live!"...Rickmans in that!

Rickmansmissus
We know where you live? Isn't that aka Blow dry? If so, then yes, I've seen it and own a copy. smile.gif

um...no,

"we know where you live, live!" is a kinda stand up thing he did with a group of other "english" actors...if your not from england i guess you wont of seen it....unless you bought it off the net!
Wednesday_Adams
Well, that would be absolutely wicked if I was the youngest one here (well, in a way). I am currently 13, just entering my adolescent years (in a way).

Heh, I'm reminded of what that one reporter said at the PoA premiere, the fact that Alan has a lot of teenage fans who are young enough to be his grandchildren. biggrin.gif

Anyway, I'm not worried about what my friend says, he's been obsessing over the kid I used to have a crush on anyway, so I have a standard comeback. wink.gif

Eep! In need of seeing another Alan flick!
Rickmansmissus
Announcement : Today, according to JKR is Severus Snape's birthday!

What would you get the rare potions master?

Personally I'd get him a star and name it for him.
Wednesday_Adams
I'd buy him a tank of poisons, so he can use it on whatever student he wants... and maybe an electric chair too. biggrin.gif

Yes, I have created a second board for Severely Slytherin, the link is on my profile page and I used the wonderful banner you made on the original, Ruby (that's your name correct?), I hope you don't mind.
Rickmansmissus
Of course you can use it Wednesday smile.gif

Ruby is my pen name, my actual name is Carmel.

According to appropriate timelines, Snape is 45 today.
Wednesday_Adams
Oooh. Still not too old for my taste. wink.gif

I am horrible with names, just had to get that off my chest, and I have spent my entire life in front of my DVD player watching season one of Mad TV. Zanyness. I should really finish up my homework. sad.gif

What I like about the new site is I can see what those darn visitors (who never sign up) are doing. biggrin.gif

I know!!! I was soooo disappointed I couldn't get here yesterday to post!! sad.gif I feel sooo bad!! Letting my poor Severus down on his birthday, of all days!!!

Well....I guess, being the way he is, he probably wouldn't have celebrated all that much anyway....I can see him just sitting down beside his fire with a glass of 21 year old Scotch and forgetting that he is..*ahem* 45!!!! *gulp*

I have no clue what to get him though....he'd probably sneer at everything anyway..... wink.gif Erm....Well.....Carmel (don't mind me calling you that, do you? wink.gif ) that was a really lovely suggestion! I had a start named after my mum a couple of years ago and she spent ten whole minutes sobbing when I gave her the certificate!! tongue.gif Preserving our dear one in the sky for all eternity....**sigh** Yep, lovely idea.....

Although I really like Wednesday's too!! Yep, I reckon he'd love that.....

Maybe I'd get him a book of real-life grizzly Muggle murders or something like that....I reckon he'd get a kick out of that as he downs his Scotch.... wink.gif

Ah well, let's raise a belated glass to our dear Severus and hope that he does actually make it to that age in the books!!

Cheers!!!
Wednesday_Adams
Well, I managed to catch the last five minutes of a rare showing of 'Blow Dry' on television today, but because I had left school early due to illness. *feeble grin*

I know I constantly advertise, but is anyone interested in reading a fanfiction that attempts to explain Severus' life? It mostly takes place in the Marauder era. smile.gif
whomeisi
Hey Ya'll...(ha ha ha English gurl trying to do a Texan drawl really is funny!!)

anywho...i wore my cool Slytherin green-tee today! oh boy, the complements i got...lol nah i really did wear it though, and a black top kinda cardigan/zip huddy top thingy!

anyway it got me thinking...i wish that my school had like the whole school uniform... wait for it..."with cloaks"...oh yeah! i mean how cool would that be? lol
at my old school back in england we had these gray uniforms with ties and crap but like no cloaks...cloaks are cool!! i'd have to have a cool long swaying Snape one just to match his!! and on the back i'd have "Snape's Clang"...or "i hate Gryffindors"...somthing ridiculous like that...oh i'd have "Snape for DADA!" that would be cool

anywho...what i'd get Snape for his B-Day!

Socks...and you know why? so he could shove it in Dumbledors face as he told Harry that thats what he wannted...!!

"hahahahahaha"...you see how a Slytherin mind works!!

catch ya later Toni!

ps...i do like Gryffindors...for my lunch!....hahahaha, jk
Rickmansmissus
Sure you can call me Carmel smile.gif

I missed seeing Severus' name on JKR's website. I am so disappointed. I wanted to see how she pictures him.
Dracoluver
Cheers! tongue.gif

Hmmm...I don't really know what I'd get him for a B-day pressie...Perhaps a new device for torturing Harry and the rest of the Gryffindors? Or a shampoo? He does have greasy hair, ya know... wink.gif

Wednesday_Adams
I'm not entirely sure, but at that conference-thingy, a fan had said that they loved Snape and she had been taken aback, then she had admitted that she did enjoy writing him or his complex character, I don't know... which is interesting.
Louise
Yeah, I remember seeing those comments....she was surprised that Snape was so loved as a character and I'm pretty sure that she said something along the lines of 'Snape?....Or Alan Rickman?'... wink.gif I dunno...doesn't look good, does it? Does that mean that Snape isn't trustworthy after all? But then Dumbledore would be wrong....and then the whole world would collapse...and time would start going backwards....and the universe would implode and life as we know it just would never be the same again...**giggles** tongue.gif

Nah, seriously...I think he's a an evil little *bleep* through and through and he does what he does for Dumbledore under duress.

As Snape said in one of the best fanfics I have ever read, 'I have never knelt to kiss the hem of Dumbledore's robes.' That was all that needed to be said in reply to Malfoy's inquiry as to why Snape left the Dark side. Snape was still thoroughly nasty...he still hated Muggles, Mudbloods and kids....he was still bitter and angry at the world, there was no real redeeming inherent 'goodness' in him...just a streak of arrogance and dignity that made him detest having to be a servant to someone else. I thought that was a really refreshing take on it....

I tell you what though....after reading that fanfic.....not only did the author present some quite brilliant theories as to how the connection between Harry and Voldemort works, but she also suggested - and did that brilliantly too - that Snape is gay. Now, I know that everyone is going to start screaming here that JKR would never do that and I totally and utterly agree, but in the context of the story, I had a hard time believing that Snape could ever have been anything else.

It suggested that there was something between James and Snape whilst they were at school, but James soon realised that he wasn't gay himself and then proceeded to spread nasty, vicious lies about Snape being weird and creepy and all that which really hurt him because his feelings for James were genuine. That's where the bitterness and the animosity between them originated from....it made so much sense it was incredible....right down to the weird kind of isolation in which Snape was portrayed in the 'Worst Memory' bit of OotP.

I dunno....I don't think I'll ever see Snape in quite the same way after reading that.....but I still love him..... tongue.gif

Long live Snape!! wink.gif

EDIT : OMG!!!!! Guys, you've just got to read THIS!!!! Not only does our beloved Alan utter more than two words... tongue.gif ...but he also hints that he knows more about Snape than JKR has revealed in the books AND that he once had a fling with Emma Thompson!!! Wow!! I never knew that!!! Wonder if Rima did? tongue.gif
Darren
That's a really pleasant interview.

With reguards to Snape looking the other way, the most queer role I think Mr Rickman's played is in Die Hard. Dogma's weird, but still not quite believable. Still Snape isn't gay, he just needs to get out of Hogwarts more
Dracoluver

About the fanfic...I would like to read it. Could give me the link? Or is it not suitable for 14 year olds? tongue.gif

I'm going to go to the library soon to get some Alan DVD's biggrin.gif Can't wait to see them! smile.gif
Louise
**giggles** Yeah, we do trust Dumbledore a lot, and I really don't think we should all the time.....he's made mistakes before. No one's perfect, after all....

I've replied by PM about the fic...if that's okay.... wink.gif I'd love to know what you think of it....
Rickmansmissus
Interesting article, thanks for posting that Louise smile.gif

Although I could only find this about Emma and Alan

QUOTE
Was it like bumping into an ex, seeing Emma Thompson on the set of Love Actually?
Well it felt like going back to old ground in a way. We've made four films together now - Sense And Sensibility, I directed her in The Winter Guest and we did Judas's Kiss (where we were romantically involved). But Emma and I have developed too much of a sense of humour to take it all too seriously - laughing too much on set is often a problem. Everybody had such a short time in the movie to say who their characters are and if you're going to say, 'Here is a couple who have been married for a while and they've got two kids,' you've got to do that in swift, short strokes. So, on the whole, the fact that we're close friends helps. Maybe that's why Richard [Curtis, director/writer of Love Actually] wanted us to play these parts.

So those of you who thought he had an affair with Emma are wrong. He's been with Rima since the 70's.
Louise
Oh, I knew that he was with Rima....that's why I made that little quip on the end of my last post....but I read that
QUOTE
where we were romantically involved
bit to mean that he had a bit of a fling with her on the set because they weren't romantically involved in the film itself - they flirted a bit, but it was all the type of suggestive playfulness that often goes on between people who work together - as in the cops, not the actors....you know.... tongue.gif

I just figured that maybe Alan and Rima were on a break or were having some troubles then or something....

I mean, you have to admit, that statement could be read either way really, couldn't it?
Rickmansmissus
I guess so (about Alan and Emma) I do know about the whole working together/flirting thing, been there done that smile.gif
Louise
Oh, guys, after the Peter Pan DVD was mentioned the other day, I ordered it and it came this morning.....oh wow, am I totally knocked sideways by Jason. What a genuinely funny, generous, nice bloke he is!!! Not only is he seriously cute, and he has the most gorgeous blue eyes I think I've seen, but he really seemed sincere in his interaction with the other members of the crew and he was great with the kids.

It's rare to find an actor who seems so down to earth like that. I love Alan to pieces, I really do, but he can come across as a little aloof sometimes and Jason just doesn't seem to be like that at all. Although, that being said, the Robin Hood special edition came today as well, and Alan seems quite relaxed with the interviewer in there....I dunno, I guess it's had to judge really. Everyone has good and bad days after all, don't they?
Rickmansmissus
Oooh! Yay for you smile.gif I have to get my own copy of Peter Pan (Probably this week) I just love Jason, and seeing him in the behind the scenes stuff just makes your heart melt!
I do have to agree with you with the difference between Alan and Jason, except that I think with Alan he's got a bit of a tough exterior, but on the inside he's soft and sweet (like a chocolate caramel)
Anyone know of any sites that have Alan films like Mesmer and Rasputin that deliver to Australia (and are cheap)?
whomeisi
Hey Lady's, i came across this site today...there is some storys of some people who have met Alan Rickman, i didnt read them all i kinda just looked down the page and one caught my eye, it was this woman who'd asked him to sign her biography of him and theres this funny pitcher of him looking quite anoyed...lol, i guess he really doesnt like the book he said somthing along the lines of "its full of lies and i will not sign it"...or sumit,

well just though some of you may like it, Toni
Rickmansmissus
I've seen that site before, it has some great pics of Alan. He's really an expressive person.

Aw, now I feel so guilty for saying that up there^^!! sad.gif Reading how patient he was with the kids....and especially that first one where he actually went over to this little kid who was standing there outside the crowd with his (or was it a her, can't remember.. tongue.gif ) mother, holding a copy of PS...he actually made the effort to make a fuss of them and I was so touched by that I had a little tear in my eye....I know, I'm a soppy old thing really.... tongue.gif There's not many people would make that sort of effort, particularly when the poor guy must be sick to death of signing stuff.... I really think a lot of him for that.

Yep....he's definitely a chocolate caramel... tongue.gif

I don't know about that stage door thing though....I mean, they do post signs asking people not to wait there in this country, but people still do. I went to see the Rocky Horror Picture show a couple of years ago when Jason Donovan was in it and although I didn't particularly want to meet him, my mate did so we went round back and waited....it was worth it though. He was really nice and ever so patient when my flippin' camera wouldn't work (ain't it just the way? rolleyes.gif ), although, like everyone you meet off the TV, the first thing I thought was how much shorter he was than I expected! tongue.gif He was only a little taller than me, although my mate and I did manage to get a grin out of him because we were all dressed up in the full Frank-N-Furter thing.... tongue.gif

Anywho...that's all a bit beside the point.....the thing is that they could post all the signs they want...if Alan was in a play over here, it would take half the Metropolitan police force to pull me away from that stage door...... wink.gif

Hello to you all, my fellow-posters biggrin.gif

About the comments I have read above, I agree that Alan had nothing to do with Emma, as they are both serious and very much engaged in their relationship. The quote was talking about the relationship they had to have with each others in that specific movie.

About trusting Snape, this is one of my favorite subjects indeed, and I have my own theories about this. I remember very well the moment from the Goblet when he comes quickly and shows Fudge his arm, tatoeed with the very Dark Sign itself, as a proof that Voldemort is back.

*sigh*

That was wonderful and at the same time very courageous.

I read the article... and, unfortunately, I just woke up so I cannot think of any comments to place on it besides how much I adore Alan...

Ooh! I saw Die Hard last night, managed to catch it, while watching 10 Thing I Hate About You, on the cable guide-thingy. Oh, I squealed when he first appeared and wanted to kiss him when he faked that American accent. biggrin.gif

So, that's another movie checked off my list.

Sadly, I only have Peter Pan on VHS (because my mom got it from work quite a long time ago) and so I do not get more Jason Isaacs than given in the movie. sad.gif

None_Elf_Ear, I love that observation, I believe I felt the same way when he stuck up for Dumbledore's sanity (and maybe Harry's?). Sorry, I'm a Severus and Harry slash shipper on the side... only fanfictions though.

BTW, I love it when chocolate has a caramel center. biggrin.gif
