Rima isn't Alan's sister. There's an unauthorised biography about Alan that has a picture of Rima in it saying that she's his sister. (Which is wrong) I'm saying I have the updated version with the correction in it.
We were talking about how Alan hates that biography because it is so full of lies. I was giving an example.

About Rima....wow.....I just....erm.....she's not exactly how I imagined her, somehow. I had an image of this really classy, Joan Collins-ish type person.....Rima actually looks more like the cook off a kids show over here called 'Balamory'.....I dunno......

Oh well, best of British to them both. Even though they're not married, they've been together for longer than most marriages last so major kudos to them, I guess.

And please, do not missjudge the lenght of a marriage after the daily standards. Marriages at Hollywood are something out of common, there are lots of reasons why people get together there and love can scarcely be found among them. This is sad, but true. Oh dear....erm....I'm not sure how old you are, but I'd be willing to bet that you're younger than my 27 years, and let me tell you that my admitedly rather cynical streak comes from many years of experience... Did you know than 1 in 3 marriages end in divorce? Anyway....that's drifting slightly off topic I guess and I really don't want to start ranting on my personal view of what a complete and utter waste of time and money that marriage is, so I guess I'll just slink away quietly now......

In my experience, people simply put up with each other because they're too scared to be on their own, which is, frankly, a little sad, but unfortunately the way it is. Personally, I'd rather be on my own and happy doing my own thing than compromise and have to put up with someone who irritates the pants off me just to be able to say that I'm in a relationship.......

Was watching Love Actually today, and realised that there is a lot unsaid. I watched with the commentry and found out a lot about how serious Alan is as an actor. He really did a teriffic job in that film.

Recommending slash fics, I love Lupin/Sirius ones, they seem really canon.

I have to recommend a couple of Snape/Hermione fics on Ashwinder (won't post the link, cause I'm not entirely sure of the rating) one is Dances with witches by Pearle, (imagine Severus in a codpiece ) and Phantom of Hogwarts by Good Witch.
The similarities between Severus and the Phantom are uncanny.

I completed the story a long time ago, but I had so much work to catch up on that I couldn't get on to talk about it.
