Carmen, I'm not sure about the similarity between Pansy and Narcissa though... I thought Narcissa should be very pretty and Pansy do not? Although in the movie, she's not that very bad looking... but aside from physical appearance, there's much to discover about them to draw up a conclusion. And JKR said herself, we'll know more about Narcissa in HBP... can't wait for that...
|
Pansy seems really vain, and I kind of believe that Narcissa would be. Considering that Narcissa would be derived from Narcissus, which is the Greek or Roman god (can't remember) which drowned from staring at his reflection in the mirror.

Oh, I dunno....
If you guys haven't noticed it yet, this thread is apparently for those who adore the Slytherins.... and I know that Pansy may irk other people with her behaviour, but I just thought it's not appropriate to do so in a club who might actually think otherwise.... and it's generally speaking of course, not only towards Pansy.
If you don't like her, fair enough... but don't announce it here and opening yourself to flaming by other people. Honestly, to me it sounds daft! Can't you just keep your peace and let us who actually *do* like these bad guys have our say to other like-minded fans?
What's the point of having a club anyway?

i wonder could there be anyway that sirius is related to harry? i know this sounds very stupid, but eventhough he is harry's godfather it just gives me this wierd feeling that they are related in some way. could this be possible

Erm..off topic....Yes it is possible, all pure blood lines are related at some stage, according to Sirius, and James Potter was a pureblood.

Yes, but you do have to remember, zyra123, us Slytherin’s are ones to converse behind anyone’s back…even a fellow Slytherin like Pansy! But you are correct and we should worship them…hahaha.
Well its great that some one started writing in this topic again, it gave me something to read whilst I try to stay awake through my computer class.
Um…the pitcher of our good friend Voldemort…um... I am not to impressed; Ralph is defiantly cuter with hair! Gash and he was so hot in Maid in Manhattan!!
Dana, I wouldn’t associate that name with a lad, though only because of the X-files (which i am not such a fan of, even though that 'Molder' guy is hot)…ha that’s funny though!
Well British comedies are on so am off to watch them!

*coughhackcough* Thanks for the welcoming hugs guys.
Alright, on the topic of slash, I also enjoy Hermione/Ginny (because the downright controversy of it all) and I once read a Percy/Oliver fanfiction which was pretty swell.
I saw those picture of Ralph! Wow, I thought I'd have to wait another decade to see him without hair... gosh I am just so ignorant with these things.
Alrighty, on the subject of Pansy Parkinson, well, I just (in a way) respect her. Although she is portayed in many fanfictions as a stereotypical girly in the 30's, I see her as a powerful woman. I mean, she doesn't just let Draco whip out those comments, but joins in herself, winning some light. Plus, she's gotta have some intelligence, Dumbledore wouldn't have let Snape pick her as Prefect just because he has to look good in front of the Death Eaters.
Oooh, caught some more Alan Rickman films and finally saw Bram Stoker's Dracula, featuring the man who plays our beloved Snapey's worst enemy.
Alright, I'm listening to a lot of music right now (deciding on songs for Hogwarts the Musical).... oh, and have I told you guys I saw The Phantom of the Opera with my fellow cast, from the play I was just in, last month? I just bought the soundtrack because I am now officially obsessed! Yay!

swirlctw....look, I'm trying to be patient here...**sigh** I think you're slightly misunderstanding the point of this thread. Ask a specific question and we can discuss it...what on earth do you expect people to say to a question like that?
Harry wasn't banned from anything because of him...not directly. Asking why Draco gets on people's nerves is like asking why Harry doesn't like Voldemort.
swirlctw
Feb 21 2005, 06:30 PM
oh sorry dana scully i will not get off topic again. by the way slytherine fans how do you like the way that Draco did his hair in the third movie, it look pretty good doesn't it?
slytherinlvr
Feb 23 2005, 12:31 AM
I think the way that Draco did his hair in the third movie is pretty awesome but idon't now how they made it look like that because if you have seen pics of Tom Felton he has very short hair.
whomeisi
Feb 23 2005, 03:45 AM
Personally I think they made a mess of it. The hair goes with the personality, Draco Malfoy’s a slick, slimy, high-tied boy, when his hairs slapped back neatly it portrays that front when he’s made into Slytherin ‘stud muffin’ with a pop-star like hair-do it shows him to be in away laid back, not so arrogant or pompas or even mean.
The Hair sucks, I hope this new guy puts the gel back into his hair and makes Draco as arrogant as he can…he may not look as hot but I don’t think he’s that hot anyways so it doesn’t bother me…I’m more of a dark, tall, Snape gal! (hahahaha)
by the way, didnt some one already ask this question? in another thread? maybe i just read it some place before anyways... Snape's (Alan Rickman i mean) now 59 for you lovers of he... thats crazy.

Feb 23 2005, 12:12 PM
59..... hmm... meh, he's still looks sexy to me!!
Don't you think he's younger than he looked? Cause they picked him to play snape, someone who supposedly has the same age with remusss and sirius. And they picked forty-something actors to play those part.
Or....
Snape is the one who looked older than his age?? Meh... he's still sexy to me... crazy or not...
Wednesday_Adams
Feb 24 2005, 12:19 AM
Yes, 59... I am still taken aback by his sexiness (as mentioned by zyra)...
Oooh, another slash ship... Draco/Remus, currently reading my first fanfiction for that ship.
On Malfoy's hair, I thought it was sexy... but certainly not canon, like whomeisi stated.
I believe that's all for today... sayonara.

Is this Mr Alan Rickman you are all talking about? I must say I am a raging fan of his and that sexy voice he possesses!
59, that’s quite amazing, he doesn’t look a day over 40, even younger at times, though saying that in Love Actually he did have that grandfather look about him, but I never would of guessed 59 looking at him as Snape!
Good for him, I hope I look that young when am 59, though it is a proven fact that women age faster then men of course not in all cases.

Hi!
sorry I'm not really a big Alan Rickman fan, but recently I had the unfortunate experience of seeing the entire 'Blow-dry' film on TV (truly through no-one else’s fault than my own).
I have to say Alan Rickman was beyond doubt a shining star amongst an ultimately dull cast, in a horrifically bad film. The only reason I continued to watch the film was the undeniable charisma of Mr. Rickman.
I'm a huge fan of period dramas and needless to say Alan Rickman’s performance as Mr. Brandon In Sense and Sensibility was nothing less than astoundingly brilliant. He is truly a supreme genius In the field of acting! But why oh why did he choose to do the film Blow-dry?!
Sorry that’s enough hero-worshiping for one day.

Edit; sorry I posted this in a bit of a rush, so I've just edited it to make it a bit more readable.

You're lucky I like you, Shane.
Anyway, I actually quite liked Blowdry, you know. That terrible accent of Josh Harnett's notwithstanding, of course.... I thought it was a nice, light film with a quaint little moral message in there. Ten quid bonus to those of you who spotted another HP cast member in there, BTW....

And no sneaking onto the IMDB to look, either!!

I always admire actors who can play "unbeloved" guys in the film convincingly. Of course, not "unbeloved" by 100% population.
Those actors playing Slytherins are all cool, giving the aura of mystery. I heard that the actor for Voldemort is a great one as well.
Salazar Slytherin should be proud.
