Carmen, I'm not sure about the similarity between Pansy and Narcissa though... I thought Narcissa should be very pretty and Pansy do not? Although in the movie, she's not that very bad looking... but aside from physical appearance, there's much to discover about them to draw up a conclusion. And JKR said herself, we'll know more about Narcissa in HBP... can't wait for that...

Pansy seems really vain, and I kind of believe that Narcissa would be. Considering that Narcissa would be derived from Narcissus, which is the Greek or Roman god (can't remember) which drowned from staring at his reflection in the mirror.

i know that sirius and the malfoy's are related so what would that male draco to sirius?

I think it would be like second or third cousins. Not sure. <Is very ashamed that does not have the books on hand at the moment>

sometimes iwish i could also go into the book and give pansy a piece of my mind. I agree with you swirlctw mad.gif

Oh, I dunno....

If you guys haven't noticed it yet, this thread is apparently for those who adore the Slytherins.... and I know that Pansy may irk other people with her behaviour, but I just thought it's not appropriate to do so in a club who might actually think otherwise.... and it's generally speaking of course, not only towards Pansy.

If you don't like her, fair enough... but don't announce it here and opening yourself to flaming by other people. Honestly, to me it sounds daft! Can't you just keep your peace and let us who actually *do* like these bad guys have our say to other like-minded fans?

What's the point of having a club anyway?

i wonder could there be anyway that sirius is related to harry? i know this sounds very stupid, but eventhough he is harry's godfather it just gives me this wierd feeling that they are related in some way. could this be possible
Rickmansmissus
Erm..off topic....Yes it is possible, all pure blood lines are related at some stage, according to Sirius, and James Potter was a pureblood.

On Topic wink.gif - With GOF, Do you think we will see the Amazing bouncing ferret? They put Severus in a dress.

Yes, but you do have to remember, zyra123, us Slytherin’s are ones to converse behind anyone’s back…even a fellow Slytherin like Pansy! But you are correct and we should worship them…hahaha.

Well its great that some one started writing in this topic again, it gave me something to read whilst I try to stay awake through my computer class.

Um…the pitcher of our good friend Voldemort…um... I am not to impressed; Ralph is defiantly cuter with hair! Gash and he was so hot in Maid in Manhattan!!

Dana, I wouldn’t associate that name with a lad, though only because of the X-files (which i am not such a fan of, even though that 'Molder' guy is hot)…ha that’s funny though!

Well British comedies are on so am off to watch them!
Toni
Wednesday_Adams
*coughhackcough* Thanks for the welcoming hugs guys. cool.gif

Alright, on the topic of slash, I also enjoy Hermione/Ginny (because the downright controversy of it all) and I once read a Percy/Oliver fanfiction which was pretty swell.

I saw those picture of Ralph! Wow, I thought I'd have to wait another decade to see him without hair... gosh I am just so ignorant with these things. rolleyes.gif

Alrighty, on the subject of Pansy Parkinson, well, I just (in a way) respect her. Although she is portayed in many fanfictions as a stereotypical girly in the 30's, I see her as a powerful woman. I mean, she doesn't just let Draco whip out those comments, but joins in herself, winning some light. Plus, she's gotta have some intelligence, Dumbledore wouldn't have let Snape pick her as Prefect just because he has to look good in front of the Death Eaters.

Oooh, caught some more Alan Rickman films and finally saw Bram Stoker's Dracula, featuring the man who plays our beloved Snapey's worst enemy. wink.gif

Alright, I'm listening to a lot of music right now (deciding on songs for Hogwarts the Musical).... oh, and have I told you guys I saw The Phantom of the Opera with my fellow cast, from the play I was just in, last month? I just bought the soundtrack because I am now officially obsessed! Yay! biggrin.gif
swirlctw
i have a question for you slytherine lovers why in the world does droco have to get on everyones neerves all of the time? in the fith book harry was banned because of him.
Louise
swirlctw....look, I'm trying to be patient here...**sigh** I think you're slightly misunderstanding the point of this thread. Ask a specific question and we can discuss it...what on earth do you expect people to say to a question like that?

Harry wasn't banned from anything because of him...not directly. Asking why Draco gets on people's nerves is like asking why Harry doesn't like Voldemort.
swirlctw
oh sorry dana scully i will not get off topic again. by the way slytherine fans how do you like the way that Draco did his hair in the third movie, it look pretty good doesn't it?
slytherinlvr
I think the way that Draco did his hair in the third movie is pretty awesome but idon't now how they made it look like that because if you have seen pics of Tom Felton he has very short hair.
whomeisi

Personally I think they made a mess of it. The hair goes with the personality, Draco Malfoy’s a slick, slimy, high-tied boy, when his hairs slapped back neatly it portrays that front when he’s made into Slytherin ‘stud muffin’ with a pop-star like hair-do it shows him to be in away laid back, not so arrogant or pompas or even mean.
The Hair sucks, I hope this new guy puts the gel back into his hair and makes Draco as arrogant as he can…he may not look as hot but I don’t think he’s that hot anyways so it doesn’t bother me…I’m more of a dark, tall, Snape gal! (hahahaha)

by the way, didnt some one already ask this question? in another thread? maybe i just read it some place before anyways... Snape's (Alan Rickman i mean) now 59 for you lovers of he... thats crazy.

Toni
zyra123
59..... hmm... meh, he's still looks sexy to me!!

Don't you think he's younger than he looked? Cause they picked him to play snape, someone who supposedly has the same age with remusss and sirius. And they picked forty-something actors to play those part.

Or.... Snape is the one who looked older than his age?? Meh... he's still sexy to me... crazy or not... tongue.gif
Wednesday_Adams
Yes, 59... I am still taken aback by his sexiness (as mentioned by zyra)...

Oooh, another slash ship... Draco/Remus, currently reading my first fanfiction for that ship.

On Malfoy's hair, I thought it was sexy... but certainly not canon, like whomeisi stated.

I believe that's all for today... sayonara.
Immoral Substance
Is this Mr Alan Rickman you are all talking about? I must say I am a raging fan of his and that sexy voice he possesses!
59, that’s quite amazing, he doesn’t look a day over 40, even younger at times, though saying that in Love Actually he did have that grandfather look about him, but I never would of guessed 59 looking at him as Snape!
Good for him, I hope I look that young when am 59, though it is a proven fact that women age faster then men of course not in all cases.
Nice talking to you I.S.
zyra123
That the point of using anti-ageing cream and botox injection, y'know... wink.gif

Anyway, yes, I.M., this is Alan Rickman we're talking about... his voice is what attract him the most, ain't it? Made me shivers inside... I was watching CoS last night, and I can't believe how I bloom whenever Snape made his apperance... (I actually clapped the way he loomed at Harry and said 'I, for one, don't recall seeing Potter at dinner...' at the writing on the wall scene **shivers**... ooh... I likey! tongue.gif)
Rickmansmissus
Oh that voice! <faints> it's just one of the things I love about Alan. I love the fact that he took time to reply to the letter I wrote, I love his eyes (just walk behind him and check them out! tongue.gif ) and I love his smile as well as his acting ability.
There's a guy at work who looks like a young Severus (Alan style) and I drool everytime I see him. I don't think he can ever walk past me without me knowing (hee hee) ah only in my fantasy world...
zyra123
A younger Snape??? Carmen, dear... I envy you now! I mean, once I had this gorgeous bloke from my class who's an older version of Harry Potter (dark hair, wearing glasses and all... 'xcept for the scar! lol! tongue.gif), but I've finished with all my classes, only dissertation left... and I don't even know his name!!! Sooo gutted.... don't be like me, mate!! Grab him while you can!! tongue.gif

Anyway, I found this excellent Snape fic while browsing for journals today... (wonder it came up in the result, eh?? tongue.gif) Check it out here. It's rated PG-13 leaning towards R for angst theme. I'm looking for Snarry actually, but this is not it, apparently... but it's really enjoyable to read nonetheless... Short. Simple. Straight to the point. (need I say more?)

And let me know what you think... wink.gif

Update!! - He knows my name biggrin.gif I am sooo happy, he's now had a hair cut and looks like a teenage to early 20's Snape and he now knows my name! I nearly died, and of course to avoid dissappointment, Andrew (Hot work guy) also has a voice to die for.

EDIT: After 6 months of answering surveys, I got enough credit $ for d-store (like e-bay) and I'm getting a DVD copy of AABA for free! I am so exicted. I just ordered it tonight and am going to check the letter box everyday biggrin.gif
Someone asked me on another site what Alan collection I have so I thought I'd share tongue.gif

Romeo & Juliet (1978) his first ever piece on film.....January Man.....Quigley Down Under.....Bob Roberts.....Judas Kiss.....Sense & Sensibility.....Help! I'm a fish.....Die Hard.....Die Hard with a vengance (uncredited).....Harry Potter & Philosopher's stone.....Harry Potter & Prisoner of Azkaban.....Truly Madly Deeply.....Love Actually.....Blow dry.....Galaxy Quest.....Michael Collins

and of course AABA is on the way. Also I've seen. The Winter Guest, Robin Hood and Dogma, just saving to get them.

zyra123
Wow, Carmen... if anyone is a die hard fan of Rickman, I'm certain you are one! That is one massive collection of him you have there! wink.gif

You know... my window is now very Snape-theme. On start, his voice will come out 'Harry Potter, Our. New. Celebrity....' and on exit, it is 'Clearly, fame isn't everything, is it Mr. Potter?' **faints** tongue.gif

Anyway, welcome to the club, Love.Angel.Music.Baby (or should I use Helaina? wink.gif)

Oooh! I love the sounds of your operating system. Currently I have a Jason Isaacs wallpaper featuring Lucius and his character from the Patriot. you can see a copy here/ I made it myself and won a fanart competition with it.
My Start up is Alan from Mesmer saying "I'm glad you are here"
My recycle bin is, "Cleaning the house!" again from Mesmer
My end is "Geez! Did you have to use the whole can?" from Dogma.
If you want to know what I look like you can see it here, I borrowed a friend's webcam. smile.gif

Congrats, I love Jason Isaacs and the Patriot is on tonight (or tomorrow) over here, I can’t wait to watch it for like the 18th time.
I so wish that we had more gossip to talk about…hum…does anyone know if Mr Rickman’s going to be in any theatre productions anytime soon? I’d so love to see him perform on stage.

Hi!
sorry I'm not really a big Alan Rickman fan, but recently I had the unfortunate experience of seeing the entire 'Blow-dry' film on TV (truly through no-one else’s fault than my own).
I have to say Alan Rickman was beyond doubt a shining star amongst an ultimately dull cast, in a horrifically bad film. The only reason I continued to watch the film was the undeniable charisma of Mr. Rickman.
I'm a huge fan of period dramas and needless to say Alan Rickman’s performance as Mr. Brandon In Sense and Sensibility was nothing less than astoundingly brilliant. He is truly a supreme genius In the field of acting! But why oh why did he choose to do the film Blow-dry?!
Sorry that’s enough hero-worshiping for one day. tongue.gif

Edit; sorry I posted this in a bit of a rush, so I've just edited it to make it a bit more readable. smile.gif
Louise
Well, seeing as how I'm more likely to torture you a little less violently than some of the other members of this thread, I suppose the job of disciplining you for speaking so of Alan amongst us lovers of him should fall to me, lest the others beat you senseless... wink.gif tongue.gif

(And I should be slapped equally as hard for the shocking grammatical structure of that sentence... blink.gif tongue.gif )

You're lucky I like you, Shane. wink.gif

Anyway, I actually quite liked Blowdry, you know. That terrible accent of Josh Harnett's notwithstanding, of course.... I thought it was a nice, light film with a quaint little moral message in there. Ten quid bonus to those of you who spotted another HP cast member in there, BTW.... wink.gif And no sneaking onto the IMDB to look, either!!

And that tattoo was very hot..... tongue.gif Ah well, I guess it's a gal thing...

Tell you what though, he positively smouldered in the Empire Awards the other night....OMG.....that voice of his is incredible. And I think he might actually have been with Rima too, which is a pretty rare event because I don't think he usually brings her to these public things, does he? He didn't half cringe though when Quentin Tarantino started with his usual string of creatively used f-words... tongue.gif A man with principles too....**sigh** He just keeps getting better and better...
whomeisi
Cough up Scully, ‘David Bradley’

You know, I liked Blow Dry. I mean the whole movie was as corny as hell but that’s what made it so fun to watch. Bill Knightly and Alan Rickman are such first-rate actors that you could put them in any film and they’ll make it a few bob.

Was Mr Rickman getting an award at the Empire awards? Or giving one out?
What did Tarantin pick an award up for?
They wearn't on over here...gosh i miss my english surroundings...
um...Rima was with him?...cool~

Louise
No, he was giving the 'Independant Spirit' award to....someone...I forget now... tongue.gif Tarantino won the most distinguished director of the decade, or something like that...something of the decade anyway!! LOL!! Sorry, I was so tired when I watched it! You should be able to get the summary of what happened with a HP slant on the main VTM site, but if you're interested in the awards, go to the Empire Magazine site and they should have a report on there.

Ooh, just noticed, there's an article in there about Jason Isaacs!!!!! **drools** Man, is he something...**phew** **fans self**

And it'll be a cold, cold day in...that place...before you get a penny out of me, missus... tongue.gif

“Going back on your word now are we…how Slytherin of you, I’ll remember this Scully, just you wait”

So I watched the Patriot last night, and Gladiator and I saw Jason in the first one but who ever told me he was in the Gladiator must have seen a different one or something. The old Dumbledore was in it but no Isaac, so I stayed up till 1 in the morning and got disappointed, it was dark though, I might of missed him.

I’ll cheek out those award things, thanks Scully, (coughTonibeingfakecough) you’re so kind to even add in the little link… (Hahaha) …What a great Mod you are…

Oooh, just thinking about Alan's voice gives me the chills.

I have been falling behind on my Alan Rickman movie mania, but I have next week off and I've been needing to celebrate (I can't believe someone as stupid as me got into an 'IB' program) so I shall be getting out the popcorn and listening to Relient K (one of their songs reminds me of him because I did a Hermione/Snape video with that hit single).

Oh boy, suddenly lacking in random thoughts. Bye!
Rickmansmissus
I had a wonderful movie fest over the four day Easter break. I started with Peter Pan and worked my way through all three Harry Potter films and then finished up with Michael Collins.
Anyone else catch any Alan or Jason films over the Easter break?
Louise
Ooh, yeah, I did actually!! Die Hard was on the night before last, which just gets better and better every time I see it...and Robin Hood's been on UK Gold too. I dug out Dark Harbor again the other night as well...I just couldn't believe how I missed all the clues pointing to the ending! I mean, they were so obvious when I look back at it, I can't believe I never saw it coming!

Did you see that yet? Cos you really have to get a copy of it if you haven't....Alan does a speech in there about love that gives me goosebumps every time I hear it. That man's voice is just so incredible...honestly, it's a crime how he doesn't get more airtime in HP. I hope they do him justice in GoF, with the whole thing with Karkaroff and all....

I was quite fancying Quigley again later on, actually....it's been a while since I've seen that......

I wish he was doing something in the West End soon, I'd give anything to see him in the flesh...so to speak... tongue.gif

He does seem a very genuine guy though, doesn't he? Apparently, he was really nice at the Empire Awards the other day - Emma walked straight in (which isn't normally like her) but Jason spent quite a bit of time with the fans...and I loved that camcorder thing he did for the special features on the Peter Pan DVD. I just read that Alan Rickman and Kim Cattral (spelling? unsure.gif ) are to appear in a film together. She is supposed to be a bit of a vamp, who meets a man grieving for his recently-deceased son.

I always admire actors who can play "unbeloved" guys in the film convincingly. Of course, not "unbeloved" by 100% population.
Those actors playing Slytherins are all cool, giving the aura of mystery. I heard that the actor for Voldemort is a great one as well.
Salazar Slytherin should be proud.
