Oh no!!! How did you survive for a whole week??!! See now, take a little tip from the master of deceit and breaking school rules...

What you have to do is sneak into the computer room on the pretense of really needing to do some vital research for your latest school project/essay/whatever and bring the DVD in with you....and a set of headphones, of course. Then, what you do is do a web search for the most intellectual site you can find...discussing fine art, literature or classical music, something like that....then keep it minimised in the background so that you can then slip your DVD in the computer and indulge in however much of Alan your body can stand before you start getting shivery (which, granted, won't take too long). And if you're interupted, then just toggle between the intellectual site and the film!! Hey presto, no one need ever know.....
Is that what I do, you ask?

**looks around** Moi? No!! **said in horrified voice** Never!!

Best thing ever invented, that photobucket site. Aside from our own very dear VTM, of course!! So does that mean we can look forward to lots more Alan/Ralph/Jason piccies??!! Ooh, actually....could we add David Tennant as Barty Crouch into that mix too? He's another Dark hottie, you know. Have you seen that website I posted the other day with David pictures? From that BBC drama, 'Blackpool'?
Thanks for that interview, Toni! He came across as rather aloof there though, didn't he? He's not really like that.....I got the impression that maybe the interviewer didn't like him very much. Can't think why...I guess it must be because he's a bloke and the old Alan charm just didn't work on him...

I mean, I don't blame the guy for wanting to protect his privacy. It's well known that Alan is an intensely private man and I think he deserves credit for that - for rising above the Hollywood sleaze. Kudos to him!!

I am indeed!! I bought it a couple of years ago and it was worth every penny!! Sadly, there aren't any interviews on it exactly, but there are some snippets of him here and there....the real bonus is the deleted scenes really....Alan has a wonderfully dry sense of humour and he is just soooo sexy when he smiles, particularly when he's being his evil best....

I really doubt that Alan would snob fans. I know that when he meets fans (from when he did PL in NY) he would spend ages before and afterwards signing autographs and doing the whole meet and greet thing. I know that for a couple of fans, he allowed them backstage at the Richard Rogers.
Alan really is wonderful. He was so busy with PL, he even sent me an autographed photo, which I must scan and post one day.
Also, for him not to sign autographs, he must have been on a tight schedule, and it also depends on what they wanted him to sign. As there is an unauthorised biograpy out there written by Maureen Paton that he refuses to sign (and fair enough) as there are inaccurate things in there and in one edition it has a picture of Rima and it claims that it is his sister.

Too true, Louise, Alan is a very private man. And who can blame him? As quoted in the interview, he thinks it's unfair for family having to be dragged in to the spotlight.
Another reason that he may despise journalists, is because I have heard that Alan is a very self critical person when it comes to his work. He takes a lot of what people say to heart about his work. I know from experience, it is all part of being an actor.

I fully understood what Alan was going on about in the interview. I really think that the reporter was peeved that Alan refused to talk about his private life. Which to me is fair enough. It's like going to work and not producing, you're just backpedalling.
Knowing about his work would move his career forward.

Thought Mr Rickman is so professional I doubt he’d ever fool around like that; I don’t know how many of you own the Love Actually Dvd, but the guy who plays Mr Bean…Rowan Atkinson (s.p) he commented or some one commented on how he messed around on set, in the part that Rickman and Rowan had together…in the mall area, and he said how he tried and tried to make him laugh but Alan just kept a straight face and stuck to his lines no matter how many times Rowan added his own bits…he must really take his work seriously, I guess that’s why he is so good.

Oh, I don't know...I kind of like the idea of Snape having a family - that's what I based my fanfic on actually. I think he's the sort of man who would be deeply committed and very protective of his family to the extent almost where no one in Hogwarts - other than the teachers, of course - would even know that they existed. And JKR did drop a very strange little hint about teacher's spouses in one of her webchats. I'll try and dig it out if anyone's interested but I'm still rather leaning to the possibility that Voldemort did something to Snape's family and that's why he returned to DD.
BTW, Alan must have the most stoical nature of anyone alive...how can anyone keep a straight face with Rowan Atkinson? The guy's a genius....remember Blackadder?

I got a Slytherin tee, but I don't know if tall black platform boots count as Slytherin or Snape like...
Oooh! Luck has given me my late Christmas present! I was browsing through the guide on my cable television, looking through the 'D's as usual (searching for Dogma, of course, a daily ritual of mine) and you should have seen my face when I discovered that the lovely Comedy Central was playing it that very night! Edited, of course.
I put large signs all over the house and my bedroom, saying, "TURN ON TV AT 10:00, CHANNEL 65!" I had rehearsal that night and would die if I missed it. So, that night as I'm watching it (and recording it in the living room), I go through another alphabetical search for any more Rickman movies, hoping maybe I'll still be lucky.
Then, what do you know, Truly, Madly, Deeply is playing the next morning at five. Well, it was already midnight when I learned this, and I knew I would not get much sleep that night (oh well), so I set up my alarm clock and put my television on reminder.
I got to sleep and wake up at 4:30 a.m., which probably means that my brain was paying attention to me again, and so I saw the movie and found it was brilliant and touching. I cried a bit at the end, either because the movie was so good, or because of the whole "monthly" thing, which may have been true.
Then, I found out they were playing Dogma again at seven that night.
Oh yes, I am making a comeback. I'm still waiting for Blow Dry to show up now.

Aw...yay for Wednesday!!! **tee hee** Some Christmas you had then!!! I'm sooo glad to know that I'm not the only one who gets obsessions soooo badly that I've been known to stick post-its all over the house to remind me when films are on too..
I bought BlowDry just before Christmas and I'm very glad I did...it's a lovely film and I just lurve his tattoo, although I really can't imagine anyone enduring the pain that it would take to have one put there....(yeah, I know it's fake...

)
Have you seen Michael Collins yet? Not only is it a seriously excellent film, but, cheesy accent notwithstanding, he's very good in that. I love the bit where he's locked in the cell and he can hear the people being executed outside and he knows that's what's waiting for him too and he gets this little shiver and far away look in his eyes....and then the bit where he cries because he realises how awful the thing is that he has to do.....wow.
Alan is such a modern legend. There's just no one else like him.
I really wish he would do an official biography though because I don't want to get the unofficial one. Not only does he refuse to have anything to do with it, it's had terrible reviews anyway so I won't but it on principle. I'd really like to know more about him though. Not in a creepy way...I'm not interested in his private life per se....that's his business....just a little bit about his life and his thoughts and opinions, that's all....

I wouldn't reccomend it to anyone. There is so much hearsay in there that you can't believe a word of it.
On to happier news, I have seen Michael Collins, and I adore it. Alan was so enigmatic in the role of DeValera.
If you're wondering where to see images of Snape smiling. Check out the extras on the POA dvd. In some of the behind the scenes stuff you actually see Alan in full Snape get up laughing.

AR's tatt in Blow DrySpeaking of Robin Hood, I watched my Mother in laws special edition today, and the second disk has an AR interview. And if you've ever heard rumours about Alan hating Kevin Costmer you might change your mind when you see
this! it is quite scary considering that both Alan and Kevin are still in costume.

Ooh, that was a nice piccy!! I taped Robin Hood when they showed it on the Sci-Fi channel here a couple of weeks ago, but if there's an AR interview on the special edition, looks like I'm heading on over to Amazon again right now!!
That biography...what are the pics like in it? Any good? Or are they just more or less what you'll find on the internet anyway? The thing is, I am kinda curious about it, but if Alan disapproves, then I don't really want to be supporting it, you know? I think that's my duty as a loyal AR fan, huh?
BTW, I love that siggie, Ruby!!! Another one you made yourself?
*sigh* I have to admit to being a little in love with Jason too after watching Peter Pan over Christmas...
I was very sorry to hear about Ralph's Dad though.....what an awful time of the year to lose someone. I couldn't believe some of the comments I read from people on the main site who were worried that it might hold up filming. I mean, how callous can you get? For God's sake, the guy has just lost his father....does it really matter if GoF is delayed a little? It's only a film, after all....this is real life. I can't believe people sometimes. Talk about screwed priorities.....

I really sympathize for Ralph and his brother, losing someone is hard.
I was on Jason Isaacs' website-thingy the other day and he had written a letter to someone and it was so amusing.
He's a witty guy.
Ooh, the tattoo is on the bottom of his foot?
I love it!
Okay, okay, I'm going to be egocentric again. If any of you want to see my Slytherin music video, just PM me. Muahaha.
I am random... darn it.

**oops, I'm begging again....not very Slytherin-like, was it?

**
I didn't know that Jason Isaacs had his own site either! Could you post the link for it?

It was quite a long time ago when I saw the fansite, but hopefully I saved it to my favorites. Ah, gah! How about a site where you can write to Severus and Lucius and ask them whatever you want? It is really quite funny.

Alright, and about the video, I had to delete that temporarily on the site I was keeping it on to make space for the S.P.E.L.L. video, but maybe I can make another account for it...Here's the link for the video, tell me if it works.

Yep, it's another sig I made myself

I'm addicted to Jason after seeing him in
three of my favourite films, (COS, Peter Pan and The Patriot) who can go past those gorgeous ice blue eyes and that smile (I'd better stop before I faint dead away) and he is a really funny guy. Have you seen the 'Through Captain Hook's eyes' video he made on the set of Peter Pan?
I love your sig Louise, where did you get it?
Wednesday, I can't see the video

You don't have Quicktime, R? Or did I mess up the link?
I have Peter Pan, I'm going to go watch it now. You know, I fell in love with Hook before I even knew it was Jason.
What's this 'Through Captain Hook's Eyes'? Is it on the DVD? So confused...

There was a problem with the link, Wednesday.
On the dvd, in the special features, in the pirate ship section, you can view Jason Isaacs filming behind the scenes stuff with his camcorder.
I don't know if it's on other dvd's but it's on the Australian one.

Here's let try the hard way.
Go here and enter SadisticSeverus as the username, and snivellus as the password. Then go to "Inbox", and click "Play" to see the video. Long, but not too hard.

Cool video, Wednesday. What programs did you use to make it? I use windows movie maker, it's not bad, but I like a huge range of options.
