i would bring back none
coz the book is all about us left to be able to cope on life after our loved ones leaved us and how are we going to face death as we must go on this is life folks
this is the cycle of life that we all are going to face whether you like it or not
or whether we are prepared or not
death will struck unexpectedly and sometimes brutally

for the characters that died in the battle
i think it is what they would like the reason to die for coz there are things worth dying for

Would have to agree with all of you who indicated Remus. He was my second favourite character, maybe because I'd like to be a teacher one day! He was sooo sad and depressed, and even hunted by the mainstream wizarding world but he found the strength to Love.
Just when I thought all of his issues were resolved. Bang and we never saw him die. I could handle Tonks (I never really bought Tonks and he as a couple) but Lupin should have survived to guide Teddy. It just left me cold that we never got a chance to farewell his spirit and personality.

I would definetly bring back Lupin and Tonks because they had just had their baby Ted. I would 100% bring back Fred because George on his own just doesnt work well (IMO). Also I would bring back Dobby coz he is one of my favourite characters besides H/H/R/G. I wouldnt mind Mad-Eye back but i dont really care otherwise.

Obivously I didn't want to see anyone go so I would bring back all of them.
Probably Tonks, Lupin, and Fred.
That was really depressing when both of them died. Poor little Teddy has already lost his Grandfather and now loses his parents. It was like another Harry which I think she was trying to make.
And when Fred died...with Percy just coming back and he was fighting side by side with Percy and Percy even made a joke and Fred died when laughing!! That was really depressing!?!
Even Snape died....I didnt like how he died but I don't know if I would bring him back...I loved Snape's character and acting wit Dumbledore but still....
I didn't like to see anyone died but those hit me the hardest.

I first thought Remus or Tonks. But then I remembered that Remus would meet two of his best friends and Tonks would meet her father

But what about Fred? He wouldn't meet anyone he missed, but George sure would have wanted him back! So I would have chosen Fred.
I think that i would bring back Lupin. Even though he would see his friends, he could see them later on and i think t hat he might want to see his only son grow up. But then i would probably also bring back Fred because that way the whole Weasley clan would be one big happy family again (even though they almost are again, 19 years later)

This is really a hard question, but I was totally devastated that both Lupin and Tonks had to die. I really wanted at least one of them to remain alive to raise Teddy. So I would bring Remus and Tonks back.
I was also devestated that Snape died too. I always loved his character because he would always stir up the plot and cause Harry some trouble that he had to get himself out of. I absolutely hated the way he died, it was really brutal. Then we found out that he loved Lily and he was the good guy after all. (Deep down I really knew he was, even though I was kind of mad for killing Dumbledore)
So if I had the choice I would bring back Lupin, Tonks and Snape. =]

I would bring back Fred, Dobby, Tonks, and Sirius. I loved all their characters so much! Although I expected Lupin to die, I'd also bring him back. I wouldn't bring Snape back, though. I think he's happier where he is now.

fred weasly!! i would love to bring back fred. that was the worst. i never thought all the weaslys would make it through but i never even dreamed about it being one of the twins. i just died! it kills me to think about george having to live the rest of his life without his partner in crime! and rowling never said anything about george after he was "kneeling" at fred's head. it was just unbearable for me!

I would absolutely bring back Sirius. (I was convinced he wasn't dead, but unfortunately, was proved wrong.) Harry and he needed each other and I was sad to see him go.
It would also be nice if Lupin and Tonks could have lived, so that Teddy could have really known how brave his parents were.
Tonks
Aug 4 2007, 03:47 AM
As much as it wouldn't fit with the storyline, I cant bring myself to accept Snape's death. He was just too brave and loyal... not the kind of person you would want dead. I wish he would have at least had the chance to stand up to voldemort. I'll miss Sirius dearly as well. Tonks's death was of course horrible. I was sincerely hoping she'd live to take care of Teddy... I didn't want him to have to be like Neville or Harry. It just felt unnecessary for my heroin to die

. But overall, I found all of the deaths to be given the respect they deserved.

definitely FRED WEASLEY!!!! ahhhh.....it was soooo sad when he died. i still cant believe it happened!! now it's no more "the weasley twins" but just "george weasley"... and no more little tricks and stuff they did together!! but then i'd also bring back sirius cause he died right when harry had some hope of having another "adult" in his life!!

Oh Fred Weasley all the way! I cried my eyes out when he died and i'm not afraid to admit it. I dont see what the point of having fred die was. I mean that would just depress George so much it just doesn't make sense

. and it would mean no more weasley twins just george, all alone and depressed. if she wanted to kill of a weasley why couldn't it be charlie or percy.but oh well whats done is done but i'd definiatly bring back fred if i had the choice

Fred Weasley... What would the books be without him? Fred and Geroge are the life of the book! without Fred the calssical Weasley 'Wicked' wouldn't sound as good

I really want to bring back EVERYONE, but if I had to choose one I'd choose Fred.

I would bring back all of them but i have got it down to two.
Fred I was soo sad when this happened i cried for along time. George would be lost with out his twin it seemed liked they did everything together.
I would also bring back Tonks or Lupin Or both. poor teddy has to grow up without knowing his parents the same way harry did and that is very sad

I would definitely bring back Lupin. He's helped Harry loads of times, with the Patronus Charm, and the Marauder's Map. Lupin was a great character.

I would love more than anything to bring back Remus Lupin and Tonks! Why? Well Remus Lupin is my all time favorite character since I met him back in the 3rd book. Tonks is Remus's wife now and has made Remus happy for once in his life. They have a child that they need to raise, and for once Remus deserves to be happy, live his life normally, and truly get what he wants. When I read that they had died I was very bitter and wanted to toss the book. They had no one crying over their body's, they laid there alone. They needed to live it would have made me much more happy. Now don't get me wrong the 7th book was bloodly brilliant! I loved every minute of it, but the death of those two crushed me the most.
**I would love to bring all the dead back, but those two are the ones I want back the most**

Oh gosh, where do I begin?
Bellatrix-She was my absolute favorite character, I know she killed Sirius but she was so crazy is was funny, she died way too easily! Id love to see here back!
Dobby-Do I really need to say? Cute, Love able, adorable, loyal till the end.
Fred- George will be lonely, Fred was a character who most people love, she shouldnt have killed him.
Severus Snape- He was never really evil, he was just misunderstood, he didnt deserve to die. He was loyal to Dumbledore till the end.
Colin Creevy- Too young to die.
Tonks&Lupin- DUDE! They have a kid. JKR didnt need to kill them, they were so sweet and love able!

I would bring back tonks, lupin, snape, fred, colin and mad-eye. Maybe hedwig if I'm allow non human. Mad-eye deserves some peace and Tonks and Lupin have a kid.The rest are too young to die or hadn't experience enough happiness like snape.

Dobby- He's dobby for crying out loud you have to love him
Bellatrix-The best charecter in the whole siries even if she did kill sirius
Fred-He's FUNNY
Lupin-He had to die if she was going to kill off all the mararuders but come on!!!
Tonks-She's cool
Mad-Eye-He's not allowed to die
Sirius-I absolutely LOVE him
Dumbledore-He just should be brought back
Hedwig-she's harry's owl, that was her crime that got her killed, she needs another chance!
I probabley forgot someone but i'll remember soon

Hmm...That's a tough one...for me, it's between Snape and Tonks.
Tonks because she was my favourite character, me and her are so much alike and I would do anything for her ability to change appearances. I also happen to have pink hair and I'm EXTREMELY clumsy. I don't like how she was killed off though...it seemed so abrupt and I wish she played a bigger role at some point or did something dramatic.
Snape because ever since I found out he was a good guy, his death made me cry the most! Jeez, I practically get teary thinking about it!

. It was so sad. So I would want to bring him back too.

That's a really difficult question because every death was sad...

I'd bring everybody back ...most of my favorite characters are dead.
Fred because i've always seen him and george more like a single character. I don't think George will ever be able to get over his brother's death, and i don't know if he will ever be the same without him.
Lupin and Tonks...

it's a pity they died after they had a son...i was really shocked when harry saw their dead bodies, i couldn't believe it!
Snape...
Dobby
Mad-Eye
Hedwig
Dumbledore
Sirius
James and Lily...and all the other innocent people who died because of Voldemort's crazy ideas

yeah I agree fred&georgegirl!! If I could just bring back Fred I'd be happy. I think he was my favorite character in the books, o no I know for sure he was

Dobby's death was pretty sad so I think he's my second choice

I would totally bring back Lupin and Tonks. Right after Lupin realizes how great it is to have a son, he's gone.

And I'm worried about Teddy. He's gonna be like Harry and Tom all over again: an orphan.
Sirius too because he was Harry's closest thing to a father. It's a shame he had to die so quickly, I really wanted to get to know him better.
Fred so that George can see his brother again and they would be awesomely hilarious all over again
and
Hedwig. Her death was so... unnecessary.

It was just like...whoa. And she was such a good owl too.

U no how everyone says to bring Snape back...
Well I think it would be better for him to die because he could be reunited with Lily againwhich is all he ever wanted
And he was so unhappy when he was alive
But im not saying his death wsn't sad but the only person he ever loved was Lily
Also i think it wouldn't be fair to bring Tonks back without Lupin coz I don't think Tonks would survive without him

If it was better for him to die to be reunited with Lilly then why don't people who loose someone they love just let themselves die to be reunited with loved ones. Because people value life!!
I would bring Severus back. I think he had such a sad life and spent years working for DD with everyone thinking him bad when he was good.
I would have liked Severus to get a chance to come back with everyone knowing he was good afterall.

I'd want to bring back Hedwig and Dobby, because both are cute and adorable and both became really close to Harry over the course of the books. Also, I'd bring back Fred Weasley to restore the twins as a pairing so they can joke about together, and then I'd bring back Lupin and Tonks so Teddy doesn't have to grow up without knowledge of his parents.

Ohhhhhh, this is a hard question

I would have to bring back Snape, Hedwig, Dobby, and Fred.
I'd bring back Snape because now that Harry knows what Snape has been doing all of these years, I'd think that I'd be nice to have Snape come back to life and have Harry say "Thanks" to him
Hedwig shouldn't have died in the first place. She's been with Harry since the beginning. Hedwig was the only thing linking Harry to the wizarding world. that siad, Hedwig should be brought back to life!
I'd bring back Dobby because after all that Dobby's done for for Harry, and to have him die such a horrid death

I think it'd be pretty cool if Dobby came back to life when everyone was in the Great hall.
Fred shouldn't have died as well. Fred and George are almost like one character. And when Fred died, it felt like half of that character was missing...

This would be between 3 people for me. Lupin or Tonks, for obvious reasons, their son is going to grow up without a mother or father, although he would have people around him who loved him unlike Harry never had.
The third person I would want to bring back would be Fred Weasley because I really saw no need for him to die, the Weasleys had been through enough already.

id bring back all of them. death became to relevent in harry's story especially near the end. it was as though all of the deaths were just as important as a new bike and after a while you can just walk by, not really noticing. too many died i think. the only one i wouldnt is wormtail and the death eaters but they were evil so it doesnt matter( oh and voldy). dumbledor is in his place though, its like he belongs in heaven really, it suits him. lupin, tonks, mad-eye, snape and fred's deaths were terrible and unexpected in this book. id also bring back sirius and harry's parents. what about bathilda bagshot eh? kinda sad but i didnt cry for her. anyways id bring back all of the good guys.

I would probably bring back Fred, it was so heart wrenching to read when the Weasley family was surrounding his body. He brought so much humor to the series, and poor George lost his second half basically. I would want to bring back Dobby too, he was such a loyal character to Harry, he didn't deserve to die at the hands of Bellatrix.

I would have preferred that Mad Eye Moody, Remus, Tonks, Colin Creevy and Fred not have died. Their deaths were pointless and added no drama. But, if Ginny, Percy and Ron died .... well,
there would have been plenty of drama with
these deaths! A larger
dent in the Weasley family would have been more exciting.

i would like to bing back snape, because now he could live without lies and maybe he would have some "real" friends.
but i also would like to bring fred, lupin and tonks back, cause they were one of my favourite characters (sirius is also one of my favourits, but i got used to the fact that he's dead)

Oh god, i'd wanna bring all of them back...... each and every death was so sad and unique ... brilliantly written.....
But if i had to choose, it would be Dumbledore. He was just one of my most favourite characters and i'd have loved it if he could stay alive...
Even though it was so nice that in the end it turned out that he was in control of the way he died and chose how to meet his end. It gave him a way to keep his dignity. I was just so devastated after the end of HBP when we witnessed that sad sad scene .... but anywho....
I'd bring Dumbledore back... brilliant man.

From DH I would bring Lupin back! He was the last maruader and he just had a son that he would never get to see raised..
And as for bringing ANYONE any book...Sirius. He was so great! He loved Harry so much like a father/brother type figure and he was so funny and rebellious and was just one of my favorite characters! I was saddest when he died

I would love to have Lupin back, but hes with his best friends again, it had to happen I think.
When I read about Fred...I lost it. I could not believe it. I never thought Fred would go...
If I had to choose one character to bring back, it would be Fred.

I would bring back Snape. After all his years of misfortune, it'd be great for him to live a deceit-free life and grow as a person. I'd also bring him back to rub it in LV's face - Snape really didn't deserve to die after all that he did. If it wasn't for him, the battle would most likely be lost or so many more people would have died that didn't deserve to.

fred of course...george is just nothing without him nor are the weasleys...it was so typically the twins making both jokes all the time...doing silly stuff and entertaining us... a world needs the twins united so that we have fun and he absolutely didnt need to die... it just was senseless and cruel (yes everyone else's death was too but his had just no further effect than him being dead you know
