Who would you bring back?? Not who schocked you the most but who would you onesly bring back. I think i got all of them, i pretty much skimmed over the pages in the last couple of chapters i was so into it.
Nightshade
That's a hard one...almost everyone's death was so devastating. My garbage can is still full of tissues rolleyes.gif. But....I was really mad when Remus died. I honestly didn't think that was necessary, not that I think Tonk's death was necessary either, but if I could bring back either it would be Remus. Tonks was already so happy when they got married and it really took Remus the birth of Teddy to become happy and realize how good he had it....maybe he did die happy then, in a way, but it would still be really nice for him to have been able to see Teddy grow up. *sigh*
Potters Phoenix
Dobby, Dobby, Dobby. He has to be the one that I'd bring back. He saved loads of lives, and was great. He's funny too. Sweet thing really unsure.gif . I'd also bring back Fred because he is so funny, and I would have liked him to continue with his joke shop (WWW). Thats just from this book!!!

Dumbledore, and Harry's parents and Sirius would be the ones I'd bring back from the whole series though!!! biggrin.gif

I can believe that it's over.
Ladie Lily Potter
I'd bring a lot of them back so I'll name reasons why. Haha I can't choose just one.

Tonks, and Lupin. Because now their son is going to have to grow up without parents, just like Harry. And though I'm sure he'll recieve better care than Harry did at the Dursley's, he'll never get to meet his parents.

Lily and James - obviously. For Harry.

Dumbledore. Although, Harry did very well without him. But still, I want Dumbledore back. He is the all-knowing character and he's an amazing soul.

Sirius. Harry's friend and Godfather.

Fred. I cried when he died. It was symbolic to his character that he died laughing.

Dobby. He saved them.
FireNice1234
I'd bring back Fred. He was a great guy and i think it was sad that he died and george lived :[

I'd like to have Fred back. Its hard enough losing a brother, but a twin brother? I wonder if George would have felt the moment he (Fred) died, like how some twins can feel something happening to each other even though they may not be anywhere near each other. I guess JK Rowling wanted to show us the sacrifices everyone made in this war by killing off Fred.
Abraxas
Oh, that's a really hard question! I'd like to bring back Fred because it's tragic that George has to live without his twin/brother/best friend. But what about little Teddy? I'd love to bring back Lupin too, he was a wonderful man, and could have become best friends with Harry had he had the chance. And also ... in a way ... I think Snape deserves to live as well. The truth about Severus Snape emerged too late. He loved Lily with all his heart, and was faithful to Dumbledore right to the bitter end.
charman_89
I would bring Snape back above anyone else, simply because his whole life had been lived playing a 'double agent' role. Firsly with Lily and his other friends, then later with DD and LV. Now that his true allegience has been discovered and everyone knows he is basically good, it would have been nice to see him living and enjoying his life properly. Not only that but it would be very intereresting to see his and Harry's relationship now Harry knows the truth... Do you think Snape would ever have been able to be friendly towards Harry or would his attitude still be tainted by his dislike of James?
RIP_Sirius
Sirius, because he's my favourite character in the series, above all others, because i'd like him to have the time to "grow out" of his recklesness and be a real, free man, and godfather to Harry.and Severus, for the reasons Charman_89 posted above me, which i think are very good.
crawford_todd
I would bring back Snape if I had a choice. I would bring him back for just one reason, so that everyone who doubted him could walk up to him and apoligize for calling him a coward, particularly Harry.

It wouldn't have bothered me to see Teddy Lupin have at least one parent still alive either. There was way too many people killed off for me to take overall
soccerbabe221000
ID BRING BACK NO ONE THEY ALL DESERVED TO DIE!!!!!!!!!!!!
just kidding....
i'd bring back snape i wub.gif him!!!!!!!!!!
he is amazing

DOBBY,DOBBY,DOBBY,DOBBY. He was a very symbolic character, and by far did not deserve to die. He was a character used for comic relief, not a very war-involved character and that really proves that he should not have died. It was an unnecessary death that was quite sad, and quite shocking. Bellatrix Lestrange deserved death after what she did to Dobby. If she does write an 8th book she better bring back Dobby.
LilyPotter
Definitely Severus. I was so completely devastated when he died. Yes, I expected it. Yes, I wrote about it. Yes, I felt it was going to be necessary... that doesn't mean I cried any less when it happened.

I would absolutely, positively, bring Severus Snape back to life if I could. In fact, I may just do that in fan fiction... I need something to hold on to...
freddylove
Probably Fred. Because George had already lost a ear, he can't afford to lose his twins.

Would love to bring back Remus and Tonks as well, because Ted is still so young.
Seriouslysirius
Out of thosse who we lost in the Deathyl hallows i want Dobby back. I'm sorry it's selfish but he affected me the most and i think he deserves another chance. For he had a cruel death. It was unexpected to him and all round him. Though there is also Severus for he died where most people beleived him a traitor this was not fair. So i think he deserves another chance. To explain everything and let his feelings be known truely to everyone. So they can hear it from himself. With his words.

So i'm split between Severus and Dobby. I quess Seveus would be the most pratical choice but i couldn't decide. Both of them could i do that?
GinnyDoraGranger
I would bring back Remus and Tonks because I think they really deserved a little more time to share with their baby.
Then Fred, becuase it has always been Fred and George as they were as one. It's difficult to imagine the two of them parted one from the other.
Ginevra_hena
I first thought of Fred (since it was a single person). I don't know how George would cope up without his identical twin. It was so sad reading about George kneeling beside Fred's body.

After that, definitely Lupin and Tonks. It was just James and Lily all over again, wasn't it? Teddy got not even a year with his parents, unlike Harry. I really wish they'd had spent a longer time together.
harry#1fan4eva
Im split between Snape, Lupin and Tonks... But seeing as snape was my favourite character i shall say snape. He ended up caring for harry and being good. The part were he was like look at me to harry really got to me.. his sweet side was finally revealed smile.gif
GoblinWarrior
For me that's a no brainer, I was the most upset by Dolby's death. It was by far the most heart-wrenching and suprising death. I cried for about 20 minutes after reading the burial scene. Never in a millon years, did I expect it to happen. I guess I didn't realize how much I truly loved that character, until he was taken from me.
RIP Dolby...
hermiones twin
Awww..Fred definatly! He doesn't die! It's just not right!

His death is the kind of death that for me, is still not believable..
amarie.
Most definitely, Fred would be brought back if it were up to me. Fred belongs with George and to take him away is just cruel. Fred's reaction to George when he was hurt was to be terrified, but one of them dying is horrible.

Then I would bring Snape back. The whole time everyone hated him, and it turned out he was 'good' after all. Then again he might object, because he didn't want Dumbledore to tell anyone that he was 'good' either, so I'd ask first, and say that we all appreciate him much more now than we did. Of course this display of affection might disgust him to the point of refusing, to which I can only say, it's his choice. biggrin.gif
DoubleD
I'd bring back Fred for sure! What can George to without him? Who will help George at their store? Lee Jordan? Ron? That's not the same!
-Dumbledore is gone and had a long life and he achieved what he wanted (teaching Harry and fighting Voldemort).
-Snape does not have a reason to live now that there is no more Voldemort to fight, has he?
-James, Lily and Sirius are unnecessary, because Harry can live without them by now.
-Dobby died saving Harry, I think that he is happy about his death...
-Mad-Eye Moody? Unnecessary too, because there's no one, who really needs him...

I'll miss Fred the most... sad.gif
Albus Dumbledore
While I am no longer upset (to a degree) about Dumbledore's death, I would still like to see a return. His death seems less traumatic now that I know he did not die in vain, and was not murdered...he chose death and that is admirable.

However, recent deaths have been made more important and that is the death of Dobby the house elf. I would bring his character back, some how, because he did not deserve it. I admit it freely, that I cried for the house elf.. and I am distraught to read of his death. If there was one character I would bring back, it would be Dobby.

x_kc_x
i think i'd want to bring back tonks and lupin so that teddy wasn't alone like harry.
but i'd also want to bring back sirius even though he died in the 5th book.
and then i'd like fred back because i don't want george to be on his own.
but then i'd want snape back but then that would defeat the object of his death which helped harry to realise he was good.
(so overall i want basically everyone who died in the 7th book back) (well with a few exceptions, i don't think i need to name them!)
gryffindorgirlie
OK, The rest of the book was just wrong without Fred. George will never been the same. They're a double-act, and nothing without each other!

i was also dissapointed about Lupin AND Tonks......

Once again a tear-jerker!

to be honest i didn't really care about mad-eye!
hippogriffchick
Oh definitely Fred!! His twin is lost without him!!! I feel that Harry knows that Lily James Sirius and Lupin will always be with him. And Teddy seemed to grow up pretty happy, didn't he? Yes, I think he will be fine. I was also sad to see Dobby go. He was so faithful to Harry Potter.
slin2678
To all those that want to bring Snape back....WHY? He's finally at peace! After living years of rejection and losing his true love, you want to bring him back so he can continue to live an empty life?

Like most of you, the one character I would bring back is Fred. To me, knowing their bond, George is definitely not whole without Fred. He would have the single greatest impact on those who are still alive if he came back.
hermioneweasly
I would bring back Fred or Dobby, I was very shocked when they died and I wish they hadn't. I miss them both sad.gif

Mod Edit: Please remember your posts should be at the very least two full lines. Please elaborate in future. Thanks
Spencer Potter
Fred and Lupin. Lupin is finally happy in his life, then he dies.. What a way to go. He didnt even know his kid that well. Then Fred, Sigh, I have to read the books over and over so I can like him over, i cant stand it that hes dead.
Megan Potter
I really think that she should have kept Tonks and Lupin. Killing them off put Teddy in the same position that Harry was in. Unless she's planning on bringing out an entirely different series with Teddy as the main character (which I don't think she should do because his backround would be just like Harry's), then she should have kept them in to give them a chance to raise Teddy.
Nawrehsuan
I would definitely bring back Fred. I was most shocked by his death. It was something I never expected. Since the beginning I thought that the twins would make it through the books so their death has really shocked me. I wonder how George will survive because the twins did everything together - it is basically like losing a half of yourself.
Krazeeklutz101
i would bring back remus and tonks because they just had a baby and even though from what we can tell in the epilogue teddy was doing fine i still think he wished he had grown up with his parents. i also would bring back fred as that was a huge blow to the weasley family
XDumbledoreX
I would definitely bring back Lupin and Tonks first and foremost out of any of the ones who died. I think Rowling killed them to show a parallel between Harry and Teddy because now both of their parents died and Harry has the oppurtunity to be to Teddy what Sirius was to Harry, except better. If that's the case then i think it's BS because we all know now how much pain Harry went through having no parents, why would she do that to Teddy and Remus and Tonks? the only difference is that Teddy will never know the same pain as Harry because Harry and Ginny/ the potter family and Andromeda Tonks will shower him with love. That being said i see no reason that Lupin and Tonks should die, they should be able to live happy and free just like Harry does.

After that i would have ot bring back, Fred then Dobby, then Colin Creevey, but Lupin and Tonks first
MrWeasley
I have to say Fred or Mad Eye. Fred because he's just too funny and George will need him. Mad Eye because I think he genuinely cared about Harry.

Remus and Tonks the Mauraders had to all die. That was established long ago with James' death. Teddy will have Harry as a Godfather with Ginny as a Mom it couldn't be better for him.

As much as I hated to see Dobby die it was a necessary death. Because of the love Harry demonstrated for him the gobblin was willing to get them into Gringots. If not for that Harry would have never gotten the cup.
George
Snape.
He deserved to live for the first time with the world knowing his good side. The bravest and most heroic man of the series.
UnknownLocket
I think that Snape should remain dead, even though he is the most deserving he was suffering from Lily's death and marriage to James, so death for him I see as an escape. A way to finally be at peace. I really love his character though but I think I would bring back Fred. There was no need for him to die it seems. For the others, I can build a connection between them and Harry and other reasons why it was necessary for them to die, but for Fred, I'm at a lost. Out of all the Weasley's, his death was least expected and I would have rather it been someone else such as....you know, Ginny who had died. That would have had more of an effect.
belle_316
I'd bring back quite a few. Lupin and Tonks because they just got married and had a newborn son, which they will never know. Mad Eye because he is the best of the Aurors and one of the toughest characters in the whole series. Fred because he is just so funny. Dobby because he was loyal to Harry and wanted to help no matter what. Even if it meant nearly killing Harry in the process. Hedwig because she was a fantastic pet to Harry. Sirius, Dumbledore, James and Lily because each one meant so much to Harry and they all guided and protected him throughout his life. Snape because he was good all along but we just didn’t know it.
PurpleForge
I think I would bring back Lupin (and tonks if it was a buy one get one free deal) because that was just ridiculously sad with Teddy not getting to know his parents at all. he wasn't even a year old when they died.
Then it would be fred because that was the saddest thing ever! I cried oceans for him. It would make george hole again (get it?) even without his ear...
I wouldn't bring snape back because he died valiantly and he wouldn't want to be back. He would want to rest and maybe even was his hair the slimey BRAVE git.
Also Dobby because that was least expected by me... so sad...
Nawal
I would definitely bring back Dobby. It was really sad the way he died and touching at the same time that his last words were "Harry...Potter..." That was just really sad. And if I really did have a choice, I would totally bring Fred back. His death was a total shock to me and yeah, nice way to put it PurpleForge, I would love to read what George's reaction was when Fred died and the way he took his death. It does make a big hole in George. sad.gif
TheBurrow
I would bring back Fred. George is going to have a really hard time without his twin in the joke business and in life and the Weasley's have suffered way too much with Percy being a compleate "git" for 2 or 3 years and Bill becoming disfigured.

I love Lupin and Tonks but seeing as they both bought it then they will both have to live together in the afterlife - wouldn't want one to be here and suffer without the other.

Loved DD but he is real old.

Loved Snape but he is forever alone and lonely without Lilly.

Defonately bring back FRED!!!
GreenGred
If i were allowed shorts posts I would say: Fred.Lupin.Sirius.Dobby.
I think that the reasons for chosing those are pretty clear but only those because they (and dumbledore but i wouldnt bring him back) were the ones that were the hardest for me and the most pertinent. Especially Lupin and Fred because Lupin was like Harry's last connection to his parents after Sirius died and Fred because of poor George.
shanniffy
My top three would be Snape, Dobby and Fred. I thought it was so cruel that Dobby and Fred got killed and I also hated the fact the Snape was good all along and that the world never got to see that. I would have liked to have seen him in a world without Voldemort and I would have liked to have seen him with Harry in a worl without Voldemort because I think it would have been interesting to see. Poor George though. I would hate to have to live without my twin. And they were best friend that made it all the worse.
etphonehome
Snape...definately...after all that angst he and Harry put each other through, they definately should be given a shot at some bonding. Then I'd go for Sirius, another pointless death, and let's face it, Snape could teach Harry cleverness but Sirius could teach him a thing or two about the ladies laugh.gif

Then I'd bring back Tonks and Lupin, they were only together for 5 minutes, and they barely had time to get to know their little bambino so yeah, them.

Lastly, I bring back Fred, followed by, Dumbledore,Lily and James Potter and Dobby.

That's it! biggrin.gif
Padfoot_Snuffles361
I want Hedwig and Sirius back!! I love Hedwig so much! And Sirius... The movies don't do him justice, but I love Sirius! He was so amazing. Dobby was cool, too. I might bring him back, as well.
I couldn't believe how many characters died! It was an absolute bloodbath. A welcoming tear-fest for sure, but I guess if that's how JKR wanted to do it... I still love her, though. Even though she killed my favorite characters. Sirius, Hedwig, Dobby. I might feel sorry for Nagini, but I can't.
Mrs. Radcliffe
Snape and Fred, because Snape was finally free living without his lies, he could've had a new start with real friends and loved ones. And Fred because he was so young, he had a whole life ahead of him and his family have suffered enough.
samsmom
WOW, this is a hard one, especially if I could only bring one back... Fred, Sirius, Fred, Sirius...
OK... Fred. Harry has gotten used to the loss of Sirius. While I would love to bring back Sirius, DD, Lupin, Tonks, Madeye, Colin Creevy!!!!, Ted Tonks and poor sweet Dobby, I think that Fred is the most devastating, because the Weasley family is so close, and killing one twin is brutal. Who will finish George's sentences, help him devise crazy schemes and products and run the store with him... who will he be identical to???? It's too sad!
Weasley'snumero1fan
I would've hoenstly brought Fred back just because his death affected me the most in this book. I couldn't believe it! I cried for 15 minutes straight!

But then again, I would definitely bring Remus and Tonks back just because now history is repeating itself cuz now Teddy has no parents just like Harry didn't have his parents, all for the battle against Voldemort.. That was really sad because Remus was so happy and wanted to see his son grow up...
#1_pottergrl
I think it would be interesting to bring back Snape, because it would be interesting to see how he and Harry would interact after the whole Lily/Snape revelation. However, I would also want to bring back Fred, because its hard to imagine George without Fred. Ok, now I'm just getting greedy. So, my first choice would be to bring back Snape, and my second would be Fred.
Cobra
So many people to bring back, most of the Order. Albus, Mad-eye, Fred, Dora, Severus and Remus. Albus, the world could use some more of his wisdom even with his "skeletons". Mad-eye we could use great warriors like him. Fred I just think he was a great character. Dora she always lightened things up and was married to Lupin and was the mother of Teddy. Severus the bravest other than Harry I would say, maybe even more than Harry. Remus, I would have to bring him back. He was my favourite character. After he finally married and had a baby. gotta go my eyes are watering again eeek.gif ..stupid deaths... sad.gif
Kirsten_Ann
Fred.

Sirius was my favorite character, Fred's death hit me so very hard. I sobbed and sobbed and sobbed. Why did he have to be killed. Percy just comes back and he and Fred reconcile. And BAM...he's gone. He was so happy all the time. Why?

I miss you Fred.
