This isn't the right place to have the thread. Probably the mods. will move it over into the lounge part of the forum.
If you go over to the 'Lounge' section there is probably something similar to this there.
Apart from that Welcome to the forums!

Recently i came across this website, and i read this interesting topic. Long Story short - some people been saying that Emma is rude to her fan, do you guys agree? Should she treat all her fan with respect? Some people said they met her and she is rude to her fan but dont you think she would be irritated at this, she is only 14 and probably want a quiet day off, example just a walk at a park and then a fan come up to her and start taking pictures and going all crazy. Some people also been saying that she should respect her fan for being famous there is "certain" thing you have to do. Respect her fan etc etc. I think it is not that fair people are judging her and say stuff like that there are a day when people just get angry at things so they do things like being rude. Imagive you are famous and just want to go to shopping and then all this fan come near you and started taking pictures and everything for everyday of your life. What would you feel. She is a good actor but does she have to be respectful to her fans all the time eventhough she wants some quiet times by herself?
Go Emma! A True Fan Would Not Critise Their Idol

Mmm...tricky issue, this.
On the one hand, you've got this star who has chosen to go into the profession she has, fully aware of what she was getting herself into and that she could expect to be recognised in the streets and that people are bound to come up to her and ask her for her autograph and stuff. I mean, she's admitted to being a bit star-struck herself when there are extraordinary talents on set like Alan Rickman and Gary Oldman who were acting when she was just a glint in her daddy's eye, so she should know how it feels. She wouldn't be there without her fans, and if she does disrespect them (and I've never seen anything that says she does, I have to say....she's always been very pleasant and open as far as I know) then she's not going to stay a star for very long.
On the other hand, she is only 14/15 years old which is really far too young to be able to totally understand the hugeness of the thing she's gotten into. She's still a minor too, which means her parents are still in charge of her life and they are bound to be a little protective of her - as Dan's parents are of him. She does have a right to privacy - as does every other human being - and there does have to come a point when fans should acknowledge that and give her some space. It must be a nightmare to feel like a prisoner in your own home with paparazzi permanently parked on your doorstep. It would really do your head in after a while. It's bound to make anyone a little snappy.
People should know where to draw the line.

One more thing, sometimes those thing that you read may not be true afterall. The reporter/writer might exaggerate on the point a bit. (I mean, we read about Rita Skeeter in HP... so....

) They are human like us, bound to make mistake...
If you like a certain actor/actress, then have faith in them. Like you said so, Dman... a true fan would not critisize their idol... but, of course... you have to be rational too... if they really *are* a snob and do not appreciate their fans... you have to know it's time to back out...
Anyway, to keep me more on topic (

), I haven't seen any news saying bad things about Emma... (although, not living in UK might limit my exposure on these issue...) So, yeah... as far as I know, she's been quite a pleasant girl....

Aaaaahh.... so, it's not a news eh? I've read that post you mentioned... and, as much as I can say... you shouldn't believe everything you read... people tend to exaggerate when they pass a news from one person to another... adding a bit of spices to heat up the story, you know?

Maybe she was tired at that time, maybe the fans are a bit pushy or can be considered rude to her in the first place, maybe she wasn't Emma afterall!!! (

) or.... maybe this person was lying in attempt to give Emma a bad name... there's so many assumption you can make out of it... so, in the end, you shouldn't believe *everything* you read....
I saw a picture of Emma while she was filming GoF several months ago (the one where they had to walk up a hill to the portkey scene) and she seems rather nice towards her fans... waving at them when she's in the car on her way back and some even manage to get her autograph...
So, you make the decision in this one......

I don't think that Emma is sexy, she's a bit to young. But I always picture of Hermione in my mind, of being very beautiful and she has no idea just how beautiful she is. I think that's Emma, and she is so talented, it's amasing. I mean I can name quite a few 20 some actresses who only have half her talnet. With that said can I join?

yes emma should respect her fans but if they're going to go nuts and act like complete jerks why would you be nice to them i hate to see people acting like that they look sooooo bad and like idiots. when i met eminem at his concert i didnt act like that i just "hey im a huge fan of yours and i was hoping to get a pic of you and an autograph on your cd. i think you are great i want to be a singer and if i make i want you to be on my cd or your bor" then i got the pic and autograph and left.

Where did you heard that Dman?
Hmm, I dunno. Yes, you respect your fans, ok.. But sometimes fans are so... weird. I mean, if your admire someone... Then you should respect therm, give them space and privacy.. if you don't you should ask yourself if your a real fan. If i would be famous and there are some fans who are rude and don't respect me, i would be mad myself. Ok i don't know eactly what happened, but if the fan just went to her and asked her for a picture and an autograph, i don't think emma would be rude to him/her.
And what Dana said, that she has chosen for all this.. I think she has chosen for the film in the first place not for being recognised and bothered.. If you couldn't go out without being recognised all day, you would become irratable, wouldn't you? like you said Dana:
It must be a nightmare to feel like a prisoner in your own home with paparazzi permanently parked on your doorstep. It would really do your head in after a while. It's bound to make anyone a little snappyAnd then, until anyone here has spoken her personally, I don't think anyone really knows if she's a nice person or not...
I think a lot people are so rude about emma, (and yes i know its their opinion and they've all the right to that) I still think that if you have never met her, you don't reallt know where your talking about...
Oh, don't understand me wrong I don't wanna insult anyone around here, just giving my opinion.. well, merry xmas

How come you remembered so much detail but you couldn't remember the name of the book?

Never heard of a little thing called the Copyright Laws, have you? Got a good lawyer, mate?

You need to say where you're taking direct quotes from if you want to use them.

Well, I guess one could be a bit understanding towards the HP crew. The movies are seen by (mostly) young people and as we all know you people have a certain way to appreciate their idols. Like screaming and shouting and running towards them, maybe a bit extreme. And if I was one of them having a bunch of girls coming up to me every 15th minute I would get really mad and start thinking "can´t they leave me alone".
But, there´s always a but, then they have friends and family which supports them - I hope. And I guess they finds strengthg inside their familys and together with their friends as normal people does, and that strenght allows them to handle the pressure of the fans.
I think it is a bit unwise to say descending things about Emma. You have to remember she´s a girl in her young years and I remember when my sister was in that age, she was not nice at all.

If I were in a park with Emma on the other bench relaxing, I would like to run up to her and ask a million questions, but I would refrain myself. Maybe sit on the bench with her just to ge to know her, not as a fan, ya kno?
I can understand where they get that though, when I looked at some of the pictures on MuggleNet, she seems to not smile a lot, and when she does, it's sometimes a fake smile. I don't know if this is because she can't smile too much on set or what.
It's true that the fans need to CHILL! I'm in a different country (USA lol) and I wouldn't see her on a regular basis... but I mean really, Emma's a human too!
