I used Search but I couldn't find anything like this. If I repeated something, please notify me and promptly close this topic. But be nice about it please!
I was surprised there wasn't a poll like this. But like the title says: What's your favourite sport? If your choice is in other, please post what your choice is. Also, if possible, I'd like to know
why you like the sport you picked.

PS: This is the first poll that I started, so could you suggest any improvements?

I like watching football (or soccer to you Americans) and playing it is fun.. but I wouldn't say it was my favourite.
I also like watching cricket and tennis.. and I also enjoy trampolining and gymnastics.
I'm not incredibly sporty though.

I am not at all a sports person.I don't like playing sports or maybe just tennis but I do it very rarely so it doesn't count. When watching,I prefer basketball because I find it the most interesting.I get bored with football-soccer but I find some funny moments, for example when they bump into each other.

I really like playing volleyball. I'm a setter, which means I set it and to another player on my team and she hits [spikes] it at the other team. Volleyball, as laughingirl_92, said, is a team sport, and on teams you make friends. It's great.
I love to watch Football, American and baseball. I like watching baseball being played by professionals and guys my age. And, even though the Chicago Cubs aren't all that great, THey're my favorite team. And my favorite football team is the Chicago Bears. Umm, let see. Oh, someone mentioned Cricket. When I was little, I played cricket in India but only with neighborhood kids. But now, I suck at cricket. Softball, i'm not too great at either. I actually am not very athletically talented but I get competitive so sometimes it balances out. Well, in volleyball it does. Oh, I also run track, but it's definately not a passion of mine.

When I was younger I did tons of sports including baseball, soccer, a little bit of basketball, swimming, karate and fencing. My brother and I still fence for fun, but we haven't 'officially' been taught to a higher degree. Same with Karate, we just learn from a family friend, he teaches us moves from time to time to supplement my basis in the Art from years ago.
Now I like to swim, hike and things of that nature. I don't do any organized sports, but that's just the way I am.
Perhaps I should do fencing again... I love it.

I'm actually not a sport kind of gal. I love to dance. I tried soccer/football, and promptly got clonked in the head with the ball. I tried again, but almost every practice ended with me dazed and a large bruise on my head.

I like football ( soccer) though I have to admit I'm not very good at playing it. I was playing it last night with some friends and was doing quite well until all these boys who are really good came and started playing and me and the other two girls who were playing got shoved in goals

. Totally sexist. I like watching it and cheering my favourite team on tv!
I also like dancing and have done it for
years but it's only recently I started to really get into it. And I like running, sometimes, er, ice-skating, skateboarding ( though I'm not very good at that and have only been on a skateboard about 5 times lol) and generally most sports apart from rugby, golf and hockey. I like to try out new sports if I can especially ones that involve goin fast ( like cycling, skating, etc.). But I'm not saying I'm good at any of these things, I just like trying!

Most people probably wouldn't think of this as a sport, but I am a cross country runner, and I really like it. At our meets we run a 5K/3.1 mi race. I'm not that great, actually, I'm really slow, but I do like the long distance, the challgenge, and the time to yourself. I enjoy competing with myself and getting better every time I run.

I don't enjoy playing sport. Well, I do, but I hate any expectation on me at all to perform 'well'. I just want to get in there, not worry about the score and to have some FUN. I don't mind playing netball but I got into a pretty high team this year (a total fluke, I'm not being modest; the top team needed players, and I needed a team) and it was awful. I felt so horribly inferior, I couldn't even catch the ball.
I've decided I quite like hitting things with a bat so I might give tennis/squash a try...
I like watching rugby (or football? I'm not sure what everyone else calls it). I'd never have the guts to play it though. I'd end up with concussion. Anyway, pity New Zealand didn't win the World Cup this year. You should have seen the news coverage! Slightly off topic, I know, but it's all everyone's talking about here at the moment.

I'm not usually a sport person, but I like playing racquetball by myself. Three-wall, not four. I serve kinda hard, so I'd be scared to try four-wall. I'd be screaming. Well, actually, I scream in three-wall anyway, sometimes, when there's other people playing with me. one time I served and the ball hit the front wall them came right at me! I screamed and ducked. My partner had to run and go get the ball

Well I was pretty mad because I had to choose between great sports

. I LOVE hockey to bits to I chose that. But I also LOVE baseball! Those are my two favorite sports to play. I was on a hockey team (til I hurt my ankle

) and I played baseball for a long time (til my ankle which I hurt playing hockey started interfering with baseball too).
I love watching Football! I hate soccer *gags*. Watching tennis is cool too oh and basketball. I'm afraid I was never too good at basketball because I'm not very tall but I did play and still do with my dad and my brothers. Oh and I love to watch basketball!
Sports totally rock my socks!

I do both Snowboarding and Skiing but ive been mainly Snowboarding latley.

Well, I like many sports. The ones I don't understand or never played are the sports I don't enjoy much. I guess that makes sense. Why would you like something you don't understand?
Well, I do understand baseball. That is by far my favorite sport. Although other sports are rather fun as well. Oh, and swimming is superb.

I don't really do many, like, main sports like baseball or football or soccer and whatnot because I do drama. However, my favorite sport of all time is SKIING! I love everything about it! The speed, the incredible views, the beautiful snowy trees, the fresh mountain air, the intense backcountry, the getaway from the city, the fun-ness of riding lifts and gondolas, the challenges of double-blacks... I'm a huge out-doorsy Coloradan! So I like things like mountain-biking and mountain-climbing and things that aren't really major sports like televised things and stuff.

Ok I am such a soccer freak! Football for all the European people! Ya, soccer is amazing to me. It has so much stuff that is fun. Like all positions. you really need all of them in order to play! I play midfeild most of the time but sometimes I play right defender! It's really cool! so ya! SOCCER ROCKS MY SOCKS OFF!

I love swimming! I love the backstroke! That is like my main stroke. I also like freestyle then butterfly but I don't really like breast stroke. Mainly because I can't race with that stroke I start swimming and it's all relaxing and I foget I'm in a race then I'm like 'Oh Shoot! so it doesn't work very well!
Then I also love gymnastics but I quit a few years ago because my coach was worthless. But I've been thinking about going out for the school team next year. Which will mean I will be very busy! Gymnastics and swimming. But I really want to!

I like soccer because I am a good player (I made the school soccer team, and was the youngest member on it!) and I have been playing since I was four!
My second choices, of course, are Quidditch, because I'm a HP fan, and hockey, well, because I'm a Canadian! I also like badminton too, again, youngest member on the team!

Well I play lot of squash, that's fun but not many people play it so I'm usully forced into playing it with my dad! badminton is ok, I do a lot of that at school, and netball too - I play either centre, wing attack or goal defence, all of which I'm pretty terrible at!! I used to do a lot of gymnastics but I got bored of that pretty easily - I sometimes do swimming, but I wouldn't count that as a sport I usully do!
I LOVE football (soccer to some)! I can't play it too well ... I just play whatever postition I want but usually it's up front or right wing. And I am a freak when it comes to watching it! I love watching any english/scottish/spanish matches, but obviously I love watching Newcastle United play the most! We are doing really rubbish at the minute (11th in the premier league) but I still love them

that's the sign of a true supporter! We just drew with Stoke City tonight, but hey, we'll get them back in the replay! I've also met Alan Shearer - a premier league legend!!

I LOVE sports!! All sports, sports of all kinds, but I would have to say that my favorite sport is baseball. I also play basketball, but my favorite sport is definitely baseball. I am also quite good at it, so I guess that is why I like it the most. I also really enjoying watching American Football, although I don't play it.
As you can probably tell, I am American, so I don't really watch much soccer, unlike most of you on here. However, I do really love the World Cup, it is just awesome to see fans that excited about something. I can't wait until 2010 when it starts again!!

My favorite sports are crew and bowling. Although I haven't yet done crew but I am planning on joining the school team....Anyway, bowling is one of my favorites because you can't really hurt yourself in it. Sure you could sprain your thumb or something but it isn't as grevious as American football now is it?

My favorite sport is definitely futbol or Soccer as they call it here in the U.S. I love every aspect of it. I played it myself for over a decade. It's all about teamwork, and if you really know how to play it is a beatiful spectator sport. The tricks that some players do with the ball are incredible. It's exhilarating to be in the stands rooting for your team to make that one shot that will win the game and then when they finally do, the rush is amazing. It's so fun to be there and be screaming at the top of your lungs. It's awesome.

Well, my all time favorite sport is dance. I'm not quite sure if it counts, though. I love all kinds of dance and I take irish step, ballet, pointe, and modern. I've taken jazz, arcobatics, hip hop, and a ballet.jazz combination in the past. They're just all so awesome!
I have recently discoverd the I quite enjoy volleyball. I can serve really well, but in everything else, I always manage to hit the ball backwards or hit a team-mate. Its very fun, though, and if I actually played volleyball as a sport outside of school I could get a lot better.
In the summer, I play tennis. I'm decent, not great. I like it anyways. Its quite fun and me and my brother are always practicing in out driveway. I normally loose, but whatever. I don't really care.

At the moment I do enjoy a good bike ride off-road, so mountain-biking is a good choice .. but my number 1 favourite is probably skateboarding, I'd skate more myself but the last time I did I broke my ankle and it sort of put me off trying again ... and these days I don't have the time to get anywhere near as decent as I was.

I like playing a bit of basketball too .. or just seeing how far away from the basket I can be and still get a shot in
