Ted shouldn't have died. Neither was his daughter and yeah.. I think Andromeda would be really sad.. Its just too much to deal with having your family taken away.

Tonks shouldn't have died, what about her child. It seemed that JK was trying to maybe preserve the life that Harry had in another, both his parents died. I think it was sad that Mrs. Tonks had to raise the baby without her son-in-law, daughter or her husband.

i agree with you electricwaveplay, about what jkr tried to preserve.
i think maybe she tried to repeat 'harry story'.
lupin and tonks died.
teddy's godfather is harry.

electricwaveplay, I totally agree with you too that she tried to preserve Harry's life within Teddy. But both Lupin and Tonks shouldn't have died. And before them Ted too?! Wow Andromeda must have felt really lonely and depressed now that her whole family has died. But maybe since Bellatrix died, Narcissa, her sister would help her possibly help raise Teddy.
I cried like a baby when both Lupin and Tonks died. Especially when they died in a passing manner. They should have died with a blase of glory. =/

It was so sad when Lupin and Tonks died...I feel sorry for Teddy and Andromeda. She has to raise the baby on her own and Teddy has no parents. But at least he's better off than Harry was, because he knows he is a wizard and has a guardian who cares for him.

the saddest part of growing up is not to have parents to guide us all the way.
teddy at least have his grandmother and godfather to support him though it is still difficult to grow up without his parents. just look at LV, harry and snape though different situations but just the same they don't have any parents to guide them. we will never know how a child can handle their feeling of being left behind and how they will react to their situations

Hey!
Andromeda is even more alone than that. Even if she was disowned, she also lost her sister in this book. Bellatrix Lestrange was Andromeda's sister, killed by distant relative Molly Weasly.
That whole pureblood interconnected thing is wierd, because it ends up with family killing family, even if it is distant. I'm glad we're not like that.

Poor Andromeda, losing both Ted and Dora so close to one another, it must be terrible for her, at least she has Teddy now though.
I hope that her and Narcissa are freinds now, that would be nice !

I can understand Lupin and Tonks dying, sort of replaying the Harry/Tom scenario, but Ted Tonks, why? He didn't do a thing, and he just died all of a sudden. Especially because we saw him at the forest is what shocked me the most. :[

The Tonks family was an unnecessary death. I still can't figure out why JKR killed Ted off. He was a death that was extremely unnecessary. Nymphadora was my 2nd favorite character (next to Luna

) You can imagine how upset I was when I heard she died. Its so sad that Tonks died, especially knowing how scared Andromeda was at the beginning that something had happened to Tonks. It does help to know that she was only a replacement death though!!!

I feel like Ted's death was unnecessary, he just popped into the series at the beginning of DH, and he was only in it for like five minutes, so his death didn't really make me terribly sad. Maybe it was just to show that no one was safe? Poor Andromeda lost everyone in her family except little Teddy Remus Lupin!

I love the Tonks family AND Lupin! Hated that they died, but I saw it comming. Well at least Remus. But it really is ONE thing giving them a death scene and a totally another thing to just mention them being dead as if they're some random people. I mean she wrote it as if we should care as much or little about them like wuth Colin Creevy, which I honestly don't give much damn about since he's not much in the books. I was so angry! I was so dissapointed with DH - majory because of that, but also other reasons that would be off topic here.
I feel so sorry for Andromeda. Made me think of Theoden's line in LOTR "No parents should have to bury their child".

you know what I dont get?
Rowling said that she didnt kill Arthur Weasley off but she killed Lupin because a father had to die...
but with Teds death two fathers of the same family died...how well thought was that hm? not at all!...I am still really annoyed
she kills too unneccessarily in my opinion...
I mean look at Andromedas destiny...her own daughter killed by her own sister...
