i would have to say that a good dh tagline would either have to be... NEITHER CAN LIVE WHILE THE OTHER SURVIES or maybe THE LAST ENEMY THAT SHALL BE DEFEATED IS DEATH.

It's the one of the basis of the Harry Potter books and the quote has played a big part in the story since the Order of the Phoenix.

I actually like the quote at the very beginning of the Deathly Hallows book, taken from Aeschylus, The Libation Bearers;

"Bless the children, give them triumph now".

I LOVE IT! It's so impactful yet so mysterious for the non-readers.

Well they tend to have a few posters with the different organisations. Like in the OotP movie there was Voldemort and 'You will lose everything'. Then the DA and 'The Rebellion begins'. So im thinking that for the Voldemort/Death Eaters/Ministry poster tagline should be 'Magic is Might'.

Maybe for the main tagline could be 'The end isnt near......its HERE'

Or my favourite tagline of all time..........'Merlins Pants'

I really like the 1st one because it sort of says, that Dumbledore left Harry a message to go after what you desire a.k.a. The Horacrouxes or Hallows, but you face trouble no matter which one you go after.

I just read the best quote EVER from the book... I don't know the entire quote, but Hermione says it. It's like:

"WE'RE THE ONLY ONES THAT CAN END IT!"

Or something. I can imagine that being the ending in the trailer, don't you? Really exciting... It gets you hyped up for the finale reading it in the book, so imagine if it's in the trailer!

I think its suiting because together and everyone stands up together against Voldy and united they all fall when they lose loved ones.

If they are not allowed to use it, I think it should be "Neither Can Live While The Other Survives". Both are great taglines, and both could be used. I have thought of one myself, tell me what you think. " Only I can end it; It has to be me."

They will go for something that will mean something even to someone who has read no books or seen no films before. So I doubt they will use direct quotes. Just something to bear in mind

I don't know, it seems a bit odd to me not to use direct quotes Then what would you use? If the tagline has nothing to do with the story then why to choose that actually?... And I also doubt that there will be so many people who haven't seen any of the HP- films, but it's true that there could be some who haven't read the books. I know that a lot of people say that they watch the movies, but they aren't really interested in the story, and they think it would be only a waste of time to read them... Although I can't agree with them, we are not the same, so all in all it's sure that there would be a huge amount of spectators who haven't got a clue how the film will end. However it would be strange I think to see a film from a series which is the last one if I haven't seen the previous ones before...

I'm still thinking they will use that quote.

Ok, This is a really good question. I think DH does need a tagline. But i hope if they do go with one, that it has a truly good meaning. That it actually means something, not just saying something and making it look good. They need to have a good tagline that means something in the book.

I agree with the whole 'The Final Battle Begins' and all, it's really WB like. But something really likely also would be 'The Last Enemy To Be Destroyed Is Death', it just sounds cool. And 'It's Now Or Never', although it's not so... likely, again. And like you said they might again use something directly from the movie, invented. But I wouldn't be surprised either if they did invent it. I think it'd be better to use something from the books, like the ones above, something that has an effect, that sounds cool and powerful.

Oh, To go with the rest of the taglines:

The Final War has Begun.

Just imagine it, Harry standing with Ron and Hermione, with the rest of the Castle and a scattering of the OoTP and the DA and then in the background all huge like, Voldy and his death eaters fading in.

From the trio, obviously, two choices being Horcruxes or Hallows, and the battle being fairly obvious, I would've thought lol.

I can't remember if I'm right but I think in the book, it points out Harry's hair has grown to his shoulders, I hope they show it. It's quite weird I think that most of the older wizards have long hair whilst the younger wizards all have short hair...the Wizarding World has fashion trends too maybe?
