With the comtemplation of whether Bill will be in the next two films, it makes you wonder if they will ask Clemence Poesy to return to play Fleur Delacour. Do you guys think she should come back?
Muggle_Born_Girl
I think she should! I think Clemence is great and really pretty and fits the part well! Also I think she should return because

and because she provides a lot of humour in the 6th book.

Fleur definetly needs to be in the last two movies, or at least the last movie because the wedding is an essential part of DH. Plus her character in HBP is hilarious, and in some parts of DH also. If they don't have her in the next two films, I'm sure a lot of the fans are going to be upset.
johnnie_walqker18
Fleur as to be in the two last films. I mean what's the point of be an harry potter film if they took everything that mades it so special. With the quidditch gone Hogwarts and the scar are the only things that makes harry potter so special. Otherwise that's just an adventure film mellow.gif
smartman299
I think she will, but she'll probably only appear in 1 or two scenes for HBP just to set up the story...Honestly, I think there going to make HBP into more of a comedy..and include quidditch and the relationships. Yates Said "This ones gonna be more Sex, Drugs, and Rock and Roll". Which basicually says there will be all of the relationships, and the humor with it...and is probably also infering to Quidditch
Lauren0891
I don't know really. I think that if they have Bill in the film then they will have to have Fleur in as well.

But I do hope they include her- the jokes of 'phelgum' between Hermine and Ginny are funny- and who else if looking forward to the

scene? I know I am!

Phoenix_1
I think she should appear at least at the end of HBP, or if she doesn't I'm sure they'll make one of the characters talk about the wedding.
Anyways

Fleur better come back, i love that whole sub-plot in Hbp..It's all down to whether or not Bill's cast...I don't know if you know, but a character was cast for Bill Weasley during the third movie for the egypt picture, and was in the script for the 4th movie but got cut,..they should bring him back..
LargeBlondeDeathEater
They better put Fleur in it, and make her SHINE AND GLOW like a Veela!

Just put Clemence Poesy in the scene, then add silvery smoke special effects emitting from her. And make her hair shine and bounce like a shampoo commercial! Make her look flirtier!
Ginevra_hena
She definitely must be shown! Fleur's not just a passing character now. She's important in both the HBP and the DH. You can't have DH without Fleur or else they can't have the 7 Potters (er, I don't know how to put that 'Click here to show Spoiler' thing).
Ladie Lily Potter
I don't know. She didn't really have that huge of a part in GoF but I still liked her anyways. I don't like it when they leave parts of the story out, even though I know they have to, and she is part of the story so I hope they keep her in if only for a little while in each movie.
annesches
i think fleur will definitely return in the final film but i doubt in the hbp.

Mrs Longbottom81
I would love for Fleur to be in the last two movies, she adds a lot of humor to the book. But I didn't really like her in the 4th film, she didn't have the glow the book described her as having. Maybe Yates will do a better job at that though. I love the parts when Ron is drooling over her, and it was pretty funny when Ginny called her Phlegm. It was great to have some humor during such a dark book.
lemonadenoi
Yeah..at least minor part .. !!
Especially the wedding in DH..its part of the book.. I want to see her wearing the pearls (is it important?),hehee

Well...since there is so much to fit into the movie I dont think they will have our dear Clemance back besides for Deathly Hallows. I think they will have to keep the wedding in the movie, so perhaps shell be back then. They will probably mention at one point that she is dating Bill in the 6th movie though...

They might have her in a little if

If they have Bill for HBP, then it'd be laughable to keep her out!

When they announce who's playing Bill in HBP, then I think all you Fluer Lovers could sit back and relax! biggrin.gif

Killian
I hope so, I'm a fan of Fleur Delacour as a character and I think Clémence Poésy has done a great job of portraying her on-screen.

Ginevra_hena
But Fleur's almost a majot character. Although, she didn't join the fight, did she? I can't remember. But they might show her, I mean, they can't do without the wedding. Because that would manipulate the story-line a lot.
Felix2090
Fleur definitely should return for 6 and 7, along with Bill. They play major parts in HBP, and provide humor as well. Hopefully they will keep Clemence Poesy too, or else it will never be the same.

PotterPlotter
I dont think she will because today, they announced that the actress haddent been cast yet to come back. I bet that means her character was cut from this one and most likley the seventh as well.
potterwatch07
Well, if they do have Fleur will they not have to have Bill? And, what about the end when the death eaters get into Hogwarts, and Bill is bitten by the werewolf and she takes care of him? Would they cut out all of the Burrow stuff? It will be interesting to see if they cut her out, because she is in a lot of the beginning of the book. Never know how they are going to write around characters in the movies.
E.Austen
So they've just announced that Fleur is not going to be in HBP. How in the world are they going to do Deathly Hallows justice unless Fleur is in HBP?

Please post your musings on this!
NymphieDora
I don't think it's the worse thing they cut, but of course its sad. It's like they want all focus on the three main character. Most is already focsed on them! Just forget the minor characters. I'll get so bored if it's just WonWon, Harry and Ginny and such! I want some of the other characters as well! Not just the kids! They seem to cut too much at the moment, but I don't want to say anything yet before seen the movie.

There's two things that CAN be cut, but if they do I'd be SO upset there wont be any ending to my anger dry.gif 1. The sectumsempra scene (One of my favorite parts of the books!!). 2. Lupin/Tonks (not asking much, they're not much in the book, but the fact that they're together! I want more then just Remus looking across the table like in OotP. Hmpf).

Ah yeah the part at the start with Ginny complaining about Fleur would be nice to have in the movie... But hey! Maybe they at least mention Bill going to marry Fleur? Or that would take some precious seconds from the student loving dry.gif
cristipotter
There will be Lupin/Tonks in HBP...Nat Tena said she'd wear black hair now cuz Tonk's depressed about it. And I love L/T, but there wasn't much of it in Ootp book, was there?

I always thought they would cut Bill/Fleur...I saw it coming a long time ago. I always figured that the ones getting married in DH could be Lupin and Tonks! It'd be cuter tongue.gif and there would still be a wedding...!
harry_potter_luvr_4life
They just can't cut Fleur. Fleur is part of the movie. Bill and Fleur are supposed to get married in DH. If neither of them are in HBP the engagement won't be announced and in DH it will be all messed up. mad2.gif
chhermione
It's not the worst thing they could cut, but it still is bad. And, like NymphieDora said, I hope they at least announce the engagement, so they can have the wedding in DH. And does that mean they're not going to mention Bill's werewolf bites at the end of HBP? unsure.gif Because Fleur was in that scene too.
Dumbledore's Widow
Well, since it is official that Fleur is being cut from the HBP movie, then Ginny won't be filmed as being so mean and nasty towards her. This will help the people in the audience - those that haven't read the books - see (Ginny) in a more favorable light, than they would have if they were to film the scene where Ginny mocked Fleur. (a scene which I personally feel portrayed Ginny as being obnoxious and immature)
Phoenix Lament
The problem isnt that they are cutting fleur, its the effects. Will they therefore cut Bill as well? And if they do, what about the wedding? Without the wedding, we know nothing of Scrimgeours death, and how H R and H had to escape, aaaand, we will know NOTHING about Xeno Lovegood, who incase they forget, is the one who introduces us to the DEATHLY HALLOWS, you know, the title of the final book!
Sometimes i wonder if the script writers have even read the books mad.gif
Nasuada
Oh I am so mad that they are cutting Fleur. That means they are going to cut Bill too. I was really looking forward to them being in the movie. I hope that they will at least mention their engagement if anything. They can't cut the wedding in DH. I hate when they cut big things like that. dry.gif
No George without Fred
Yeah-I read that and I was like "NOOOOOOO"!!!!!! Mostly because I really really really wanted Bill to be in the movie sad.gif. I know it's kinda sad but I was looking forward to the part in the hospital wing with Bill and Fleur and Mrs. Weasley. I really don't like David Yates because he cuts out lots of good charecturs like Dung, Fleur, Bill, and lots of other bits and pices. He also changest lots of things in the movie that don't need to be changed.
PottyHead
It isn't the worst thing they could have cut but it has completley ruined their set up for DH.

I mean their wedding is where Harry first sees DH symbol (Xenophilius) and where they find out that Scrimegeour's dead.

Its their house that they all escape to after Malfoy Manor.

They aren't that integral to HBP so i don't think it's ruined that film (though things that have also been announced to be cut have ruined it mad2.gif) but it's completley messed up DH already.

I actually hate David Yates as a HP director mad2.gif mad2.gif mad2.gif !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, I completely agree. If they are going to be doing a movie on Harry Potter, then you can't edit out all the important things.

I have yet to see Bill or Charlie in any of the Harry Potter movies, which disturbed enough as it is. But no Fleur?! Poposturous.

Also, for these reasons, is why I think HP 7 should infact be two movies.
mayfair
While it's confirmed that Fleur will not be associated with the move, I do not think that the makers will have trouble putting in scenes such as Harry's interaction with different people at the wedding or Ginny's naturally obnoxious behaviour. Makers have taken alternate routes in the past, we had no Winky but Crouch Jr escaped. No Dobby, yet Harry got the Gillyweed and found the room of requirement (coincidentally it was Neville both the times). No SPEW, yet that kiss between Ron and Hermione will happen. I don't think the makers are constrained too much by the books; the events are simply restructured and presented in a different manner so as to be in line with the adapted screenplay. No Fleur, perhaps no Dobby and Griphook in the final movie, but the raid on Gringotts and escape from Malfoy manor might still happen....somehow.
seamus-finn
With them cutting Fleur out of this movie they are ruinning a major plot in the 7th and final movie,,, Where will harry and the rest escape to if fleur and bill never get married.... THat is just a bad thing... When they cut it might be like dobby would never die or they would all die in the manor of the malfoys.... you just have to think about these things... I hate it mad.gif
Ginevra_hena
Clemence Poesy just announced a couple of weeks back that she's not been contacted for the sixth movie, which says it all: Fleur's not there. And I so agree with you, potterwatch, the scene at the end with Bill would most probably not be there.. dry.gif
jaiboi2
ok so there cutting fluer. a really bad move in my mind coz she,s part of the plot for the final film i,e her wedding. i think there also cutting the dursleys from hbp aswell. they cut them from goblet of fire and i was sooo upset. it simply isnt a harry potter film without the dursleys,. i agree with the statement made previousley. the script writers need to read the book more carefully. i also hate david yates as a hp director coz he managed to screw up order of the phonenix big time. but hey no one will listen they dont care they just want the money in the bank instead of givving potter fans what they want
Miss Minerva Mcgonagall
Eurgh. I was not happy when I heard that they'd cut Fleur and Bill. In all honesty I don't think we'll get to see them at all again in the movie series. Which is a shame because I wanted to see what Ron's other brothers looked like. The scenes would take about ten minutes from the film, being Fleur at the Burrow, and the hospital scene. So I don't see why they HAD to cut her and Bill.

I believe for the wedding they'll make it Remus and Tonks wedding, which is an easy thing to do because the two are married at the start of DH anyway. All they have to say is 'We're getting married' and the swap is easy enough. And it'll make the impact of their deaths at the end that much sadder. For film makers it looks like a good idea. From fans Pov not so much. But they haven't shot themselves in the foot, because it's easy to fix.

We'll just have to see what they do for DH.

Oh, and are they going to hurry up and cast Scrimgeour...or has he been cut also? dry.gif
baz
[If the cutting means the ever-so-slight possibility of more Lupin in the Deathly Hallows future, then CUT, Warner Brothers! CUT AWAY!]

*Ahem*

I do feel very sorry for the Fluer and Bill/Fluer fans, though. sad.gif That would really suck. And, yes, I also see major difficulties in the future. I mean, the wedding and the horcruxes for one. They can't have Hermione tell them everything again. DD's past for another, where are they going to get Muriel and Deadelus together if it's not at a Weasley wedding? Unless they have Bill marry someone else...they could just insert a random into Fluer's role. That would really blow for Fluer fans, though, but it would mean Fluer isn't just popping up for a marriage. Do you get what I mean?

Her comic releif will be lost in HBP, too. That's a shame. Everyone (almost) loves a character that annoys everyone else.
Miss Minerva Mcgonagall
Well, now we have this news for the split and the extra time. It's supposed to be over two hours per movie, so with say 4 and a half hours we are gaining ALOT of film time.

I think there would definately be major complaints if Bill and Fleur were left out of deathly hallows because now they have time to correct the fact they left the two out of Half Blood Prince and sort of make up for it in a way. So now my hope is restored we'll get to see Bill cast, and Fleur back on our screens.

The whole Half Blood Prince cut for Fleur seems alot better to think about now. Because they can easily correct the mistake with the extra film time!!

I agree. smile.gif

I think the directors and producers know what they're doing and although it seems like they're cutting out a major part of the storyline I think everything will work out fine; as long as the wedding and stuff is mentioned.

I agree with what Mayfair said a while back in this thread about Dobby; the producers find ways to work around what they cut out. Cutting things out of a movie because of run time or budget (as I believe was the real reason for not rendering Dobby or Winky in GoF), is a reasonable excuse. Especially when well-thought-out workarounds replace the missing parts.

I have faith that if the producers do decide to cut Fleur from HBP, it won't be so bad and an alternative will be placed instead.
babydoll
Well I've heard they cut Bill Weasley and without Bill they don't have a need/use for Fleur. To me this doesn't make much sense though (cutting both Bill and Fleur I mean)
(DO NOT READ AHEAD IF YOU HAVEN'T READ DEATHLY HALLOWS YET, it's actually not THAT much of a spoiler but I wouldn't want to ruin ANYTHING for anyone who hasn't finished the 7th book yet)

Mod deleted see note below

because OK, maybe it's not too important for Half Blood Prince but they are definitely important to Deathly Hallows, how can their part be cut from that movie??? It's going to be a little weird if in Deathly Hallows they just throw them in like oh surprise Bill married Fleur so they can get their important scenes in... I feel like with a lot of things like filmmakers only think about one movie at a time and don't really think ahead...

Mod Edit: The spoiler policy with regards to book seven was lifted after 3 months or so, so your use of ...was unnessasary and is seen more as using excessive characters which is against the rules, thanks.
PottyHead
Yeah if all of a sudden in DH they're at Bill and Fleurs wedding it's going to be a bit random and bit like 'okay where did that come from.'

Even if they left out the stuff at the burrow, they should atleast keep in the end bit, where they're fighting, they could announce it in the hospital wing after Bill's been bitten, short and simple, no need to take up more than a minute and that way everyone's happy. Cutting them both entirely is just a bit too much, they need to be more careful with what they cut - as OotP proves, it can ruin a film.

I agree cutting Fleur is going to make Bill and Fleur in DH very random and if they don't do the wedding then how to the trio get out of the Burrow, I wonder? Unless of course the actors in HBP mention that Bill is engaged to Fleur, that may tie up some lose ends but I would much prefer them to be in HBP. Though none the less you can't have everything. Though of course that would cancel out Bill being savaged by Greyback and Tonks and Remus's relationship being revealed. We will just have to wait and see.
flanman11
That is so ridiculous!

How are they going to describe the annoyance with her...
And what about the Wedding in the Deathly Hollows?

That was a stupid decision on their part.
Lily Luna Potter :-)
i think it would be quite rubbish if the cut fleur because the whole fleur & bill thing can't happen so the hospital wing scene at the end will not happen so you can't see the start of tonks & lupin! the other thing is if they don't have bill & fleur in this film then they can't do the wedding in harry potter and the deathly hallows or i guess they could but it would be confusing to people who haven't read the books because their relationship would have just came from nowhere! now that is just what i think! laugh.gif
annie62442
I think they definitely should put fleur in the final two films. The weddings an important part, where voldemort is finally able to take over the ministry, it would be really bad if they cut that out. As the final movie is in two parts, there really isnt any excuse to cut fleur out of it.

Of course they are going to have to introduce bill as well though, as he hasnt been in any of the movies so far
AryaForce
I heard that Fluer and Bill will not be in the Half-Blood Prince. They will be in Deathly Hallows though. So yes, it is pretty odd. I wonder who is going to be bitten in the film if it won't be Bill. Guess we will find out in July, won't we.
Ginevra_hena
It's official! Clemence is back to shoot for Deathly Hallows in August for ten days!

I'm UBER EXCITED for this, I mean, seriously, I was so, so worried about them doing away with Fleur!
britishemmafan
Yeah I think it's official. She said she was coming back. So I'm pretty sure that she is coming back. sorry I didn't right alot, but I don't have a lot of thought on this subject.
