So, what was your favorite chapter? And why did you like it: was it sad or funny, did it reveal something significant, was there character development or for some other reason entirely ?

My favorites are The forest again and King's Cross.
I love The forest again because even though Harry knew almost two years that either Voldemort or he would ''need'' to die, it's not until this chapter that we see Harry actually having to face it. It's amazing to read how Harry grows in the first two pages. And the rest is in my oppinion the most saaddest part of the series as I really belived that Harry was going to die. I think it was amazingly wrote from Rowling as it makes you really feel the same sorrow and feelings as Harry do, but it's not too emmotional so that it would start annoy you. And I think that's something that is hard to do.

King's Cross isn't as good as The forest again but it's deffinetly the second best.Dumbledore's my favorite character aside Harry and I think it's brilijant that he and Harry got another chance to talk to each other face to face. And there's always been chapter like that in other Potters so I would've propably been little disapointed if there hadn't been now.

My personal favourite was "The Prince's Tale". It was definetely the best chapter of the entire series! It easily beat the previous best "The White Tomb" of the 6th book.

It is in "The Prince's Tale", the truth came like an avalanche to me. Harry HAD to DIE. It did not matter whether he would like it or not. It was actually a RESPONSIBLITY left to him by Dumbledore, that he had to willingly walk out to his own death. Also it contained one of the most powerful relationships of all, that of Lily and Snape. Snape's undying love for Lily, made him fool even the most powerful Occlumens (Voldemort) from discovering his original side.

"The Forest Again" also beats "The White Tomb" and will come at a close second place.

Unfortuntely, the 7th book also contained the WORST chapter of the entire series. Its obvious isn't it?

"Nineteen Years Later"

It was such a shame. Why the hell didn't Rowling edit the chapter. She wanted to leave it as it is when she wrote it in 1990, and hence it did not fit properly with the remaining story. And why didn't Rowling mention the funerals of Remus, Tonks, Fred and all others. They definetely needed a proper send off put in paper.

My favorite chapter was King's Cross. One of the biggest themes, if not the biggest theme of the series has been death. The chapter just made an excellent explanation of it and how it shouldn't be feared. And then of course, Dumbledore is seen after Harry knows his whole past. The conversation between them was amazing, and I really think it helped Harry be essentially fearless in the upcoming battle against Voldemort. The flaw in the plan is possibly my second favorite, for everyone's reaction and loyalty to Harry, and how he truly defeats Voldemort.
etphonehome
Now that I have reread a couple of times. I have to say that my favourite is A Flaw in the Plan. I particularly like the part where Harry and Voldemort are having the face off and Harry dares to call him Tom Riddle. His courage really came shining through.

Second and very close it was too, is The Princes' Tale. This was very moving and I had to catch my breath everytime the memory changed....what was going to be revealed next.

Sadly, I am inclined to agree. It was amatuerish fan fiction of the worst kind. I know that for a lot of people it tied up loose ends and they wre happy to find out what happened to certain characters, but for me, nah! But this thread isn't about that so ignore it and focus on the goods chapters biggrin.gif

The Prince's Tale was definitely one of the best chapters in the entire series, as vineet said above. It wrapped up so many plot lines and exposed the truth quite eloquently. JKR has a talent for informative chapters, but this one truly outshone the rest. And that's not even mentioning the emotional aspects. Snape's character came through beautifully, and the story of his youth was incredibly moving.

I also happened to really enjoy the chapter Godric's Hollow. It was an emotional chapter, what with the visit to the cemetery and the statue in the town sqaure. I have a soft spot for the Mauraders in general, so I was very excited to see the place where Lily and James died, especially set to snow and Christmas. (And even though it wasn't technically in that chapter, I loved the part where Harry sees the wreck of the house where he lived when he was small. The messages left by his supporters were amazingly sweet.)

And I might be the only person on here to think this, but I quite liked the epilogue. It gave the series closure and a happy ending, which made me smile.
utvolsfan15
last few, that was amazing
belle_316
I have got a few favourite chapters. Kreacher's Tale really moved me because Regulus's story was so sad and brave because he died trying to bring down Voldemort. The Silver Doe because Ron finally came back, rescued Harry and destroyed a Horcrux within maybe half an hour or an hour. The Princes' Tale because we finally find out where Snape's loyalties lie. The Flaw In The Plan because of the duel between Molly and Bellatrix, and obviously because Voldemort dies.
OHyea
I have to say that i really loved "The Forest Again" and "The Flaw in the Plan"
I think they were brilliantly written and definitley moved me. "The Forest Again" was so painful and felt so real. Amazing. The conversation between Harry and Voldemort was very captivating...it was a spectacular way to end the series.
Three cheers for JK!

Hm, that's difficult to decide!
Well, I think my favourites are 'The Forest again' and 'A Flaw in the Plan' biggrin.gif
Harry walks into the forest to face his death -that must have been pretty hard to write, but it's brialliant! And then he sees his parents and Lupin and Sirius, ... he watches the Death Eaters... all his emotions, and when he stepped forwards and was ready to sacrifice himself! Glosh! I love it!
And I loved Harry and Voldemort's duel/conversation in the Great Hall! Everyone watched and Harry was so fantastic! wink.gif

Well, I especially loved the end of the book. When they met the DA and when everyone was fighting. That community spirit and ... can't describe it!

And I liked the epilogue, like champagnewaves said

All the questions that are left -I don't care. I still loved 19 years later!
felix_felicis_05
my favourite chapter was the prince's tale, it really surprised me, i thought snape was being loyal to voldemort, it also explained many things and made me feel sorry for snape sad.gif
MissRandom
'The Forest Again'- closely fallowed by 'The Prince's Tale'- was certainly my favorite!

I hated how Remus died....no big scene or nothing. But I felt so much better about it once that chapter game up! He's at peace now....happy and able to be with Tonks. Not having to fear the moon anymore....and he's with his true friends! Sirius- so very happy she included him- is still all laid back like I imagined him before Askaban and stuff started. Harry seeing his parents....always with them. This chapter was just so lovely. Perfectly written. I cried for a good 30 seconds- I couldn't help it- because it was written so VERY beautifully!

Thanks for all the replies! biggrin.gif
Situvation so far: The Prince's Tale is leading with 6 votes, closely followed by The Forest again with 5 votes. I quessed those would be the top two, but it's nice to see that five other chapters are mentioned too. It tells something from the book that you can't just point one out.

But keep on posting! Especially if you favorite hasn't mentioned yet, I'm interested to know different oppinions.

Well since I can't pick just one chapter, I'll do a Top 5

5. King's Cross
- I loved how Harry really got to talk to Dumbledore. It let Dumbledore explain himself and let Harry understand that DD really did cared about him.

4. Malfoy Manor
- This chapter was so dramatic and I loved it. As a huge R/Hr shipper, it was really heartbreaking how Ron was crying out Hermione's name. It showed how much Ron loves Hermione and that he was willing to die for her.

3. The Prince's Tale
- I love how Snape had a chapter all to himself. My favorite part was when he showed his patronus to DD and when he's crying when he read the letter at Grimmauld Place. That broke my heart.

2. The Flaw in the Plan
- Loved how Harry called Voldemort, Tom Riddle in the end. It really showed how Harry didn't fear him anymore. Also loved all the action with the house elfs, centaurs, and Molly Weasley(enough said). Plus Voldemort dying was pretty cool too =)

1. The Forest Again
- I think this is my favorite because this is the only chapter that almost made me cry. (literally had to stop reading..lol) It was beautifully written, espically the first couple of pages. The real tearjerker was when Lilly, James, Sirius and Lupin came into the forest. Harry asking Sirius if dying hurt was so innocent and Lupin never being able to know his son was terrible sad.
darth_sidious
My favourite chapter in the book is undeniably the Flaw in the Plan. The realization that harry is the true owner of the Elder Wand hit me out of the blue and was masterfully done to say the least. At the Second place is the Prince's tale. I also liked "The Elder Wand" which is the chapter in which Snape was killed. "The Elder Wand" and "the Forest again" tie for my thrid favourite chapter

i disagree with the seemingly common consensus that 19 years later was terrible. I'm not saying it was great, but it wasn't all that bad either
twiggysun
The chapters I loved best where: The Seven Potters, The Silver Doe, The Battle of Hogwarts, The Prince's Tale, The Forest Again, The Flaw in the Plan and 19 years later...

The Seven Potters for me was a chapter I didn't expect. I really didn't expect to have action and death so early in the book, but just because it took me off guard I loved it.
I loved the Silver Doe because that's the chapter Ron comes back and they finally get rid of the first Horcrux.
The Battle of Hogwarts is first off al one of my favorites because Ron and Hermione finally kiss!! Besides that it was an exciting chapter, with all the battle preparations but a really cruel ending...
The Prince's Tale explains a lot of Snape and Dumbledore, plus you get really emotionally involved because of the fact that Harry is to die.
The Forest Again is just beautiful... Harry is willing to die for the sake of the Wizarding World and I didn't want him to die, but somehow you get to accept that he has to.
The Flaw in the Plan... Voldemort finally dies.... I don't think that needs further explanation
19 years later, well I'm a sucker for romance and a happy ending... plus a major Harry/Ginny and Ron/Hermione fan!!
Axoria
I liked the most "The Prince's Tale", because it was so surprising for me, I couldn't imagine that Snape did everything just because of Harry's protection. But on the other hand it was a review as well of all the main events from the childhood of Lily and James. Nothing else could be so persuasive for Harry like Snape's pensieve, otherwise he couldn't believe that Snape was not a murder who killed his headmaster, and who loved his mother.

And of course "King's Cross", with its mistery about life and death, and that veil which was so odd. I liked it because I couldn't decide certainly neither at the beginning nor at the end what I saw exactly. Was it only a dream, or a strange state between life and death or anything else? I had to reread it to realize that Harry was really alive.

I think this kind of JK's storytelling fascinates everyone of us, when something is so odd and authentic at the same time that you can't even understand it exactly at that moment, but after that everything becomes clear and you can comprehend the unity and the structure of the whole story.
Noepie
The Forest Again! I couldn't stop crying during that chapter, it's SO good written and SO sad.. I couldn't believe Harry had to die and that Dumbledore had known this all along. When Rowling describes how he suddenly is so fully aware of his body, and that he realises he will see, and feel, everything for the last time... Heartbreaking. And then his parents, Sirius and Lupin, and when he says 'I'm about to die' to the Snitch, o man eeek.gif
snape is pure evil
Prince's Tale all the way

Forest again comes second

The Ghoul in Pajamas comes third as the power of friendship between the trio is realized one of the very touching moments was when hermione tells about modifying her parent's memory.
annesches
my favorite definitely is the prince's tale, because i got to look into my favorite character's life of this series - severus snape, the one that i am most anxious and excited to read in deathly hallows. it revealed so much about him that i can't stop to crave for more. it also showed the relationships he have with, lily, dumbledore, and the marauders. a sad, poignant life he had lived.

i also like the dark lord ascending, because i got to see the death eaters and lord voldemort. i really like to know their ways of meeting and how they interact within their circle haha they were always scared of their master.

the battle of hogwarts, where the school, order of the phoenix, dumbledore's army, harry's friends united to fight the most evil wizard of their time. a great fighting scene.

malfoy manor, because ron really showed how he cared so much about hermione. draco being what he is, a prat but he never directly pinpoint about the identity of the trio, and dobby's appearance a great help and yet another blow to harry. so much things had happened in this chapter, there were friendship, love, and loyalty from the protagonists, while fear, greed, and brutality from the death eaters.

Ladie Lily Potter
I can't pick just one! I never can so I'll give my list. I like all of the chapters but here are the ones at the top of my list:

Godric's Hollow
The Silver Doe
The Forest Again
The Prince's Tale

But as I said ... I like all of them.
Mrs Longbottom81

My favorite chapters would have to be "The Silver Doe," "The Battle of Hogwarts," "The Prince's Tale," and "The Forest Again. I really liked "The Silver Doe" because it showed how strong Harry and Ron's friendship is and how important Ron is to the trio. "The Battle of Hogwarts" was the best fighting scene in the whole series, it was so impressive how the teachers, students, and members of the Order all came together to defend the castle against Voldemort. "The Prince's Tale" was a great chapter, it was so sad to see how much Snape loved Lily. "The Forest Again" had one of the best parts in the whole series, where Harry opens the snitch and talks to his lost loved ones. I guess I really like the inspirational parts in the series, I picked all of these chapters because they have one in it!
Felix2090
I'm not sure if anyone else feels like this, but if so please speak up. I didn't really care for The Prince's Tale. I mean sure I was happy to find out that Snape was innocent, but I just don't think it was the best in the series. As far as my favorite goes, I guess it would have to be a tie between The White Tomb in book 6, the epilogue of book 7, or The flaw in the Plan in book 7.

Top 5

1. Malfoy Manor. It was heartbreaking when Ron was hearing Hermione's screams and was crying out for her. It was my all time favorite chapter.

2. The Battle of Hogwarts. That was fantastic. With everyone fighting for their lives and LV's voice in the backround. Also Ron and Hermione's kiss!

3. Nineteen Years Later. I am one of those few people who loved the epilogue. I thought it tied up everything nicely. I wish it was longer though.

4. The Silver Doe. Ron came back and destroyed a horcrux. Not before it tortured him though. That was awful. So sad!

5. The Forest Again. When Harry realized what "I open at the close" meant and he said "I am about to die" I had to close the book for a second and dry my eyes.
HP number one Fan
Wow I liked a lot of chapters in the book. If I had to choose two they would be:

The Silver Doe: We had no clue as to who the doe belonged to, I would never have made the connection to Severus, also it's when Ron returns to help the others and from then on it's obvious that he and Hermione really do love each other. It also shows that he has strength to destroy the horcrux, it would be boring if only Harry destoryed them all.

The Princes Tale: Well like everyone else who is a Snape fan it shows him at his vulnrablest moment. It backed up my idea of him being in love with Lily and Dumbeldore asking him to finish him off. We really get to see a side to Snape which has long been denied from us. It's such a contrast to the rest of the book and Harry finally learns the truth about the potions master he had always hated. sleep.gif

My favorte chapters were The Prince's Tale and The Flaw in the Plan.

Prince's Tale was my #1 favorite of the two because it maded all the previous information regarding Snape and, to an extent, Lily make sense. It also confirmed my ongoing belief that Dumbledore's inherent and unwavering trust in Snape had to be due to a very good reason. It also made me see a soft, sentimental side of Snape that made him an even more complex character. Reading Books 1-6, I got the feeling that there was more to Snape than JKR was letting on - yeah, he's mean, bitter, and sarcastic, but it seemed there was something else, something perhaps good, underneath it all. This chapter was both heartbreaking and refreshing at the same time. The extent of Snape's devotion to the love of his life was incredible.

The Flaw in the Plan also gets my vote for favorite chapter because of Harry's 'arguement' with Voldemort. It reminded me of how a great lawyer would go about pleading their case! tongue.gif He took everything he'd learned about Voldemort, taking special care to point out his weak points and areas of ignorance, to defeat him. He weakened Voldemort through reasoned argument - to the point where Voldemort became so emotionally worked up that he cast the AK spell that killed him instead. Before I got to the part where Voldemort dies, I thought that Harry was going to make him somehow feel remorse and that that, in and of itself, would kill him (I'm remembering, perhaps incorrectly?, something Dumbledore had told Harry about remorse being too much for Voldemort to handle). The way he died was awesome, though, especially in that Harry never had to use the Unforgivable AK on Voldemort, but simply used a defensive spell. Harry never outrightly attacked in the end.

baz
Oooh, I love going completely against the tide!

The Bribe, where Harry and Lupin have their...er...altercation. I thought it was just odd, but in a good way. It showed that nothing is going to be the same, yet again. (I mean Harry has a lot of fights with a lot of people, but Lupin?!)

(Ok, I might be biased. tongue.gif )
iluvviktorkrum
Hmmmm.... this is a really hard question. I would have to say the battle at hogwarts. it was such an insense chapter. Also in this chapter you had a feeling that someone was going to die soo you would have to read the whole chapter just to figure it out.
crazy4u
My favourite chapter is probably the 'Prince's Tale'. One of the reasons I was trying to read really quickly the book was because I was looking forward to reaching a part where it would be proved that Snape is innocent. And that chapter was very satisfying. It was amazing;I love it!So many feelings for Snape...
Dumbledore's Widow
GODRIC'S HOLLOW is absolutely one of my favorite chapters. I like that it's just Harry and Hermione. Eerie yet poignant.
mjane95
So many chapters.
I loved Nineteen Years Later, The Silver Doe, The Seven Potters, The Missing Mirror and The Princes Tale.

NINETEEN YEARS LATER: I loved this chapter. It ended it nicely enough. I'm a lot younger than most of you so I really enjoyed it. The Teddy/Victoire thing was funny and the Harry/Albus talk was inspiring(sort of)

THE SILVER DOE: This chapter is one of my faves because of the whole Ron comes back, Ron destroy the Horcrux(tormenting him) and Hermione absolutley HATING Ron's re-apperance.

THE SEVEN POTTERS:
I loved hoe Fred and George said ''Wow, were identical!'' I can't wait to see this part in the movie

THE MISSING MIRROR:I loved all of the explanation behind Dumbledore's family past.

THE PRINCE'S TALE:For the reasons everybody else has put

My absoultley fave page is 502

Prince's Tale too tongue.gif , I was reading it with my mouth wide open like this ohmy.gif and then after wards I was like this thumbsup.gif to JKR and then I forgot that there was actually a war on!! and then the silver doe chapter reread after you know its snape woot.gif . and all of it! except when they are hanging around in the tent. that got very boring. lac.gif

I liked Kings cross, particularly the last thing that Albus Dumbledore ever said to him, Godric's Hollow was creepy, but well written, and Snapes Tale was good. I liked the epilogue, I have no idea why people are hammering it?! It's really good, it drives me crazy how people are just really negative.
Amy--
One of the chapters I loved the most was The Silver Doe, just becasue it was really mysterious, with the patronus and the horcrux and Godric's sword - then Ron came back, and I loved when he destroyed the horcrux, becasue this was one of the first times we've actually heard Ron practically confess that he loves Hermione. Then she hits him. Nice. Haha, I still love the chapter.

The Prince's Tale was great as well, becasue that was almost the entire series summed up in one chapter, and I thought it was great how it was managed like that, and it was even better when it was from Snape's memories, becasue it really fitted in with him showing his true colours.

The Forest Again was good too because I really loved how Harry was brave enough to face up to death like that, and obviously I loved that his parents, Remus and Sirius were there with him.

And like most others, my favourite part of the book just happened to reside on page 502 ...
hp lover<3
Well first I have to say that my favorite section of the book was about page 548 and on. I couldn't put the book down after reaching this point. Everything just starts to come together...it is just amazing.

Okay, now for my favorite chapters:

The Sacking of Severus Snape--In this chapter I like the fact that McGonagall talked about Harry being in her house with pride. Also, this chapter's on of my faves because it shows all the teachers working together to protect Hogwarts.Percy returns in this chppie, and even though he's not one of my favorite characters it's nice to have the whole Weasley family back together.

The Battle of Hogwarts-- Everyone joined together to protect Harry, and they're all ready to fight the Darkest Wizard of all time. Ron and Hermione FIANLLY kiss. Harry figures out with the Diadem is, and destroys it.

The Prince's Tale--We learn how Snape how always been faithful to Dumbledore, and that he loved Lily.

The Forest Again--This chapter made me cry so much. Harry acted so bravely, but at the same time JKR made sure the readers knew how difficult that was for him. It was really sad when he had to walk past Ginny on his way to the forest. He finally realized what 'I open at the close' means, and his family came for him. Everything in this chapter was really well written.

Basically this book is just excellent. It is definitely my favorite of the seires.
Miss_Mimz
Wow...well like most here I have to say DH is my absolute favorite of all the books...so really from beginning to end was amazing! I could NOT put it down, I had to force myself to go to bed or eat or anything!

That being said my favorite chapter is by far : The Forest Again. I cried sooo much and I was absolutely glued to the book. Harry was so brave and introspective wub.gif

Notable chapters are : The Battle of Hogwarts, Kings Cross, The Prince's Tale, The Missing Mirror, Godric's Hollow and of course Nineteen Years Later

[color=#333399]My favorite chapter was "The Prince's Tale" in HBP and "The Forest Again" in DH. "The Prince's Tale" made Snape seem like a good guy for a while. "The Forest Again" I liked because I never thought Narcissa Malfoy would do that. I also liked the chapter when Voldemort killed Snape. I thought t was sad and couldn't figure out why I was crying for Snape. blink.gif Then I read the chapter where Harry sees Snape's memory and it all made since. The Patronus. Snape trying to unjinx Harry's broom. I can't forgive myself for saying such mean things about Snape. I said he was a greasy haired freak. And now thanks to that greasy haired freak Harry is alive. smile.gif I also liked the chapter where Fred, Tonks, and Lupin were killed. I cried for quite a while for them . Especially Lupin and Tonks because they just had Teddy. I cried when Lupin told Harry that he was Teddy's godfather. ohmy.gif I'm gonna stop here because I liked all the chapters. The seventh book was my absolate favorite book though.

It's such a really good book., as everyone has said, how do you pick a chapter? I reread the thing 5 times, after I finished reading earlier than I had expected the first day it came out - what else do you do when it's 6:00 in the evening and you thought you'd be reading til bedtime?. Anyway, it got better and better. So, favorite chapterS - impossible to pick just one!

Kreacher's Tale is in Top five - made me really like Kreacher, and great writing trick to give him the secret - I thought the RAb mystery would take most of the book maybe.

When Ron comes back, and has to face his fears and then they stop bothering him - that whole Silver Doe chapter is really good. And I made a list of who destroys all the Horcruxes and it's great, as everyone one is an important character - she did well with taking turns!! ( The only thing about Ron being in the pool and getting back out again - I mean, Harry had dry clothes to put on - is that he would have frozen to death as his clothes would have got extremely cold - read that in a **** Francis book! ha ha.) But counter-logically, Ron would not have waited to take off clothing to rescue his friend in trouble, so it's a toss up! MAybe he used his wand to dry off like Dumbledore helped Harry in the sixth book.

Malfoy Manor/The Wandmaker - two of the best chapters ever written - Dobby showing up is brilliant, and Ron's agony is heart wrenching. And I love how Draco is reluctant to identify anyone. I don't think it shows he's so much of a hero as a coward, but he was helpful, in a sort of passive un-aggressive way! And the Pettigrew issue is resolved. The way Harry thinks everything through while digging is beautifully done, and Luna's tribute to Dobby is heartwrenching. The choice he makes in the split second as he decides to speak with Olivander first is almost chilling - she captures that moment so well, I have know just a few moments like that - where you know that what you do in the very next second will change your life, and then you act. These are two very best chapters JKR has ever written.

The whole last 180 pages I treat as a chapter, so that is a winner - I warned my slower-reading friends to have the time to read that part without stops - too hard to put it down. Harry in the forest, with his mother and father, Dumbledore and that wretched creature at Kindg's Cross, Snape's memories - they are so painful that I always cringe when I come up to re-reading that chapter, and then I love it again. It makes me cry. The whole part with Aberforth in Hogsmeade, and then the reunion with Neville and the welcome they all give them, so good - it was needed, and she did it just right. And Ginny trying to go and fight, and Percy showing up. Hagrid crying as he is carrying Harry out of the forest. And yelling at the centaurs, its almost funny because it's a surprise.

I also loved Dudley saying goodbye/not a waste of space to Harry - it made me cry - not what I thought would be my first tears of the book.

The Epilogue - I love it. JKR has to take care of her characters, it's the only responsible thing to do! Anyway, lots has been said on why it is just right, so I don't apologize for being on that side of the debate!

The other thing I loved is how JKR has some very fun references to the first book in this seventh book - Hermione yelling at Ron - Are you a wizard? Dedalus Diggle coming to take the Dursleys away, the blue fire that kept them warm was something Hermione discovered in the first book. There are others I can't remember right now. Very clever. I loved in Snape's memories where Dumbledore mentions, without looking up from his book,"Keep an eye on Professor Quirrel won't you..."

Sorry one more - Lost Diadem - when Amycus spat in McGonagall's face, I was so shocked I just stopped breathing for a second, and I thought, no one can do that, and then Harry immediately stepped up and stunned Amycus on behalf of me, McGonagall and the whole free world as we know it, and it couldn't have been more perfect. And her response is priceless.

Okay, this is way too long - how do you pick a favorite anything - (I refuse to pick favorite colors or songs anymore, too ridiculous.) Great book!
E.Austen
Lessee... well, my favorite scene in DH was the scene with the dragon. A dragon is my animagus, you know.
Moon(I luv you Luna)
My favourite chapter ... er, there's so many. I'd have to say the saddest chapter was "The Forest Again". There's ntohing sadder than seeing Harry walk to his death, and dieing in the end. sleep.gif

I also loved "The Battle of Hogwarts" and "The Flaw in the Plan". Because they just have oodles of Final Battle goodness and RHr of course.

I also loved "Malfoy Manor" not because it was awesome, but because i was so scared Hermione was going to actually die. dry.gif

"The Silver Doe" was awesome. Ron comes back, kills the horcrux (Oh yeah) Harry/Ron moments and Hermione punches him. Pure genious.

Oh and i suppose "Nineteen Year's Later" was ok. happy.gif

Although Deathly Hallows wasn't my favourite book in the series, It certainly contained some of the finest chapters.

For me - The Seven Potters, The Silver Doe, The Wandmaker, Gringotts, and King's Cross.

The Seven Potters - Begins the book with a real bang - one of the most exciting action scenes in the whole series. The arrival of a flying Vodemort was just so thrilling.

The Silver Doe - There was a real lull in the story during the camping scenes, the hunt for the horcruxes had lost all momentum - and so had the story. But this chapter got things going again. Ron's return was brilliant. The locket was finally destroyed, and the silver doe patronus was a real mystery. All set in an atmospheric snow-filled wood - wonderful.

The Wandmaker - Dobby's death was the most emotional of the book, and the digging of his grave was so touching. 'Here lies Dobby. A free elf'

Gringotts - They broke out of Gringotts on a great big dragon! Enough said.

King's Cross - This was a special chapter and probably my favourite. It was just so far removed from anything else we had seen in the rest of the series. It offered answers, the return of Dumbledore, and was the calm before the storm of the climatic battle. After all the revelations about the Headmaster, it was wonderful to see the change in their relationship. Oh and the final words of the chapter were simply brilliant!

I could easily add the Battle of Hogwarts and The Prince's Tale to the list. There really were so many good moments! Writing this makes me want to read the book all over again!

I really loved The Prince's Tale. It was just so amazing. I loved finding all of that stuff out about Snape because he was a character that we didn't know much about before this book. It was also great to see a different side to Snape as we only ever see him from Harry's point of view. The whole thing about Snape loving Lily was really sweet and overall the chapter was just great.

I also liked The Battle of Hogwarts. It was super sad (*cries for Fred*) but Harry figured out where the diadem was, Ron and Hermione finally kissed woot.gif and it was just plain cool.

The Forest Again has to be the saddest chapter, but one of the best. Seriously, Harry's walking into the forest thinking that he has to die and the he sort off does "die" at the end of the chapter. eeek.gif The whole thing was just really well-y written and I had tears in my eyes throughout the whole chapter.
