Well we finally know another cast member that is going to be in Half-Blood Prince now.
Natalia Tena who played Tonks in Order of the Phoenix said that she will be reprising her role Half-Blood Prince!
I personally thought she was a very good Tonks but had little screen time. Hopefully she'll get more in this movie!
What do you all think about Natalia Tena coming back for the sixth movie?

I guess I'm happy because I don't like when they change the actor/actresses that play characters throughout the series because it can get confusing. Well, not to the fans that read it, but those that don't.
But I she wasn't AT ALL how I imagined Tonks! I pictured her small faced and almost pixie looking. I dont know, maybe it said something about that in the book? Or I most likely misunderstood. But you know how when you get a character's picture in your head, it's hard to take out?
Anyways, back on topic, I'm glad she's coming. She, as Tonks, definately had little screen time. But in HBP, I don't really expect much more. They can easily cut her out, infact, I'm surprised, and happy, they aren't going to.

Tonks and Lupin happen to be my two favourite characters, which is funny because they get together in this one. I wonder if they're gonna include their relationship in the sixth movie. If not it might not matter but it would be stupid of them not to have it because they would soon get to the seventh movie and get stuck seeing as their relationship is present throughout the entire book. Not to mention the little bundle of joy which comes into it...SPOILER!

YES! I agree that she didn't get enough screen time in OoPT, maybe she will get more time in the movie, butI can't wait to see haow she will do

I can't WAIT to see her in HBP again! I thought she rules, though looked nothing like what my head said...I mean,
nothing. But that's what makes the movies so interesting.

I was sooo disappointed with her screen time--or, lack thereof--in OotP. (Love her tripping over part, though...that was hilarious)
I am an ardent Lupin fan, so I am REALLY looking forward to the...er...let's just say, interaction between these two characters!

That's great! I think it can also be confusing if they switch actors and actresses afyter they've already been in one move. She definetly wasn't exactly what I imagined her looking like. But, somewhat what I imagined. Hope she gets more screen time, though. I just can't wait for the 6th movie to come out!! Tonks is an amazing character, and I hope she gets portrayed better in the 6th movie.

They really downplayed her character a lot. I also wish she would have had more screen time. I imagined Tonks having shorter hair, but, what can you do? I am glad that they aren't switching actresses though, because it would definetly be confusing if they got another actress to play Tonks.

as many of the characters' screen time were very little, same goes for tonks, even though i like her part, especially when she is dead clumsy and kept knocking over many things hehe, am not getting my hopes up because tonks's part in the half-blood prince was also too little.

I think Natalie Tena did a great job with tonks in OotP even if it was a minor part. I am looking forward to hopefully seeing more of her in HBP. They might have been savin gher for the HBP (crazy idea but it's a possibility).

I thought she did a very good job as Tonks. I'm glad she's coming back for the sixth movie... I just really hope they don't cut out the relationship of her and Lupin... however I don't think they will, as the seventh book is already out.

Natalie Tena is great. She is a good actris, and she is perfect to the paper of Tonks.
Good choice.
I didn't thought of another actris doing Tonks. Who can play Tonks better than Natalie.

I thought she did a good job as Tonks in OOTP, but I do hope she gets some more screen time during HBP. She becomes a more important character in the 6th book, so hopefully they will show her and Lupin's relationship, it's a touching part at the end when she confesses her love for him.

Yes! I am SO happy that Nat Tena will be back. She is not quite what I imagined, but I still think that she is one of the best people for the part. I do still wish she had PINK hair though, not purple. I hope they give her more screen time though,

because, as she dies in book 7, it would be a good idea to continue to give her more screen time, like Dobby.

I love the way she changed her nose, funny!

I heard that the reason they let Tonks have violet hair through the movie (or like the 5 mins) was because there is already a character you will assosiate with pink - Prof. Umbridge. I like Tonks character, but her looks in the movie works fine for me. And since she can change whatever she wants... who cares lol. (And bloody h*ll does she looks like a friend of mine O_o Jeiks)

This is great news. Natalie Tena did a great job job as Tonks and Im so glad to see her back.I can't wait to see her interact with David Thewlis (as long as they keep that part). She looked gorgeous with the purple hair and i don't care what colour the put her in. Just as Nat plays the part

Well judging by the one line of speech she had in OotP, I still can't decide why they even bothered putting her in at all! I really do hope they include her more in HBP cos she does deserve a lot more lines than what she got in OotP.
I wonder whether they're going to bother having the RL/NT relationship at all. Anybody who hasn't read the books would only know that her first name is Nymphadora, and since we never saw her with Remus, I don't really see how the filmmakers are going to get around it! If we;re lucky, they might be holding hands at Dumbledore's funeral, but let's not get our hopes built up. I know there's a whole significance that they have a son and everything, but I think the filmmakers might already have too much on to concentrte on that - I hope they include it though

I'd love to see more of Tonks in HBP as she is one of my favourite characters!!

I'm really glad Natalie is playing TOnks again. Evem though she won't be the same Happy-Go-Lucky Tonks we all know and love from OOTP.
Remember, just as Harry did, she lost Sirius and is VERY depressed! This will be a different role than she first suspected I think.

Jan 19 2008, 01:40 AM
I hope they put her in and, like you all said, give her more lines of speech! I don't care either if they make her all depressed. I just love Natalia Tena for Tonks, she's perfect and, judging by the OOTP special features, she's the coolest and funniest person on earth!

I just hope they give her a bigger part
and at least to the least they can to include her relationship with Lupin. I have a feeling they'll cut it though...

Just one more thing:
QUOTE

I thought... I thought they
thought she was depressed because of Sirius but it was actually because of Lupin...?

Hm. Not sure.

Yeah I thought Tonks was depressed because of Lupin too... hmm
Well anyways, I'm so happy that Natalie Tena is playing Tonks again! I thought she was perfect for the part. Sure it wasn't very big in OotP but I'm really excited to see her come back in HBP.

Really hope they set her and Lupin up well in this movie. I would love for it to be Tonks and Lupins wedding in the last movie instead of B/F. Not that I wouldn't have rather Bill and Fleur be in it, but at this point it would be better to go with known movie characters. Anyways that's off topic.
I think Tena is the perfect Tonks. She wasn't how I pictured her, but shes how I should have pictured her.

i am glad she's doing it again, i wouldn't have liked it if they had got someone else, i hate it when they change the actors!!!
i hope she gets more time as well, she's a really important character in book 7, and if they dont put in the tonks and lupin relationship, they wont be able to do the harry and lupin fight at grimmauld place, which i bet would be fiery to watch lol

Nat Tena's ok. Not astounding, but good. I just think they should have made her hair
completely pink/purple, and made it shorter.
I think they should have put
way more of her in the fifth movie!!! I mean, come on!
And, (warning, this is off topic) I
hated how they did the Advance Guard in the fifth movie!!!!!! I mean, I though flying was supposed to be so they'd be camoflauged, but there they are, flying down a huge river (the Thames?) in the middle of London, and going straight past a steam boat, without even disillusionment charms? I mean, wtf?????
I think they won't have much of the Remus/Tonks ship in HBP, though. Which, I've got a couple of things to say about:
And, all you people who are firm believers that we'll see more of Tonks in the 6th, well, I don't think we will. I know, it's demented!!! But she had a way bigger role in the 5th, and if they put that little of her...well...don't think we can hope much. Sucks, doesn't it?
I loved that they put her nose changing habits in, though!!
And, this is off topic, but
David Yates
Isn't he stupid? I wonder if he's even read the books!!

I agree with
meesapizza on two points.
They could definitely have changed Tonks hair more often. From what I could tell they only briefly changed it to red (rather fake-looking, frankly) because she was angry, like her hair is a mood ring or something!

Other then that, it was the same color and length in every scene.
And yes, the Advance Guard was rather disappointing (no Lupin

) and they tried to make it too much like an action scene out of Mission Impossible. I'm not saying the movies have to stick to the books completely, but why waste the money in changing something if you aren't
improving upon what was actually written. Key characters are missing, the ones who are there aren't introduced properly and barely anything is explained. The whole sequence from when they bust down Harry's door to when they first reach Grimmauld Place was a little unimpressive.
But Hooray, Tonks is back!

I think she was good in her acting, but I agree her hair was too long and not pink enough. I think they should be more careful with the costumes, since some of them are not much like the decription in the books.

[color=#CC0000 Tonks is confirmed as being Tonks, she was great in order of the phoenix, I like her hair. Anyway, the only scene she is in is in the burrow attack. I can't remeber where I found it but if you type hpb movie on imbp movies she is on the cast list. ]

I am glad that the same actress is returning to play the part but I am extreamly disapointed to hear that Tonk's is only in one scene of the film. It just doesn't seem right to me seeing as she is such an important character. I think she ought to be in more of the movie myself.

I'm glad the same actress is returning to play Tonks, but I don't think we will see much of her. Like peter said, I've read she is in only one scene, and that one isn't even in the book. I think when she is in the film she won't be playing the "depressed Tonks" that is in the book, but I think she will be there just for the sake of being there. Since she is in the book, they had to fit her into the movie somewhere. Although I hope they show her and Lupin together!

As you can tell from my name, I'm a big Tonks & Lupin fan! I'm very afraid that I'll be sorely dissapointed in the upcoming movies. I just read the last two books this year, and fell in love with the Tonks/Lupin relationship. I love them more than Hermione and Ron! And if they're not in the movies I'm gonna be mad!
I really really really hope that we've all been mislead with the information about being in only one scene!!

The relationship was a big part of the book and I hope the directors and producers do the book justice in every way possible!
I'll be praying!!!

[color=#CC33CC]i sooo wish that tonks got more to say in the ootp because she is just such a good character because she is funny, clumsy, smart and is a metamorphagus (spelling?). hopefully she will get more screen time in hbp but i know, wishful thinking! i hope that they put lupin/tonks in but i read somewhere that they just arrive at the burrow (attack scene) a couple. so that probably means they won't put the bit from the hospital wing scene at the end. but who knows we won't see until the film comes out on november the 21st!

I was very upset at the lack of Tonks in OoTP. Hopefully she'll get the screen time she deserves in HBP.
I love Tonks; she's the character I relate to the most. I actually like the way she looked in the movie better than how she's described in the book. The two are different, there's no doubt about that, and I think the changes they made worked out quite well in the end.

I really hope they leave in the scene in which she cling's onto remus's robe's,that's a really sweet one

Will we get to see Tonk's patronus charm when she rescues Harry on the Hogwarts Express? I presume the scene is still going to be included because we she Malfoy casting a Body Binding Curse on the train the trailer for the movie. If this is included, I hope they put in the money and effort and let Tonks cast her patronus. I think they are awsome

. From what I've heard Tonks isn't going to get much screen time so I think there is a good chance it (and possibly she) will be cut from this scene

.
What does everyone else think? Can anyone provide solid evidence to whether or not this has or has not been included?

Sorry to have to disappoint you, but this scene has indeed been cut - Luna discovers Harry on the Hogwarts express, and they walk back to school together. If you watch the trailer closely, you'll see that Luna opens the carriage door whilst wearing her spectre specs, and we get to see a view of Harry on the floor slowly taking off his invisibility cloak through the spectre specs. I would summise that somehow the body bind curse fades of its own accord.
This does leave the question of how they're going to deal with DD using the body bind curse on Harry on top of the Astronomy tower, as those who haven't read the books will wonder why Harry was unable to break free of the curse himself...

I wish they would give some of these great characters there right in the movie! I am pleased with the movies all of them! I just wish you could get to know some of the order better. Like tonks because its the topic. She saves Harry in the book. I would have liked to see her come and get harry while in the hogwarts express. But im sure it will be a good movie anyway. So we will see
and siriouslyinlove mentioned Teddy. I do hope we get to see him sometime in any of the last movies! that would be nice to see.

Thanks for clearing that up for me
Magelirose.
I didn't realise that the footage of Luna with her glasses was related to Harry being on the Hogwarts express. Thanks for the tip

. Yet again we see an interesting plot line cut from the movie like so many that had gone before it. Although not of vital importance I still think it would have been nice if they hadn't cut it. Shame.
