I love that Rowling gives us the basic idea of where they end up. But I am thinking about right after the last proper chapter - did Harry get his sandwich? Was someone else using his bed? (haha, these question are certainly keeping me up at night!) She says he becomes an Auror, which is great, but I wonder if everyone at Hogwarts does that year over anyway due to abysmal teaching circumstances. and then Harry and Ron and Hermione and Neville and everyone else on the run (Dean, Luna, plus Draco and those not accepted to Hogwarts that year etc) do their last year. Anyway, I think if they do so well in later life they must have had to finish their education to get off to a good start. Can you tell I'm a teacher! Anyway, I love that Ginny plays Quidditch professionally. I'd like to know why Ron got his drivers license - is it because Harry challenged him, or because they are living more in town and intergrating more with Muggles and not hidden away in a remote village (although I hope they're not in one of those cardboard subdivisions!) Point has just been made here by my daughter that Ron now has a bunch of kids and maybe has to drive them to stuff - soccor... quidditch! I don't know. Wouldn't they just use Floo powder - no, my resident expert says, that would be hard for little kids. And side by side apparating would be distressing too I guess, unless in an emergency. Anyway, I bet Ron's Dad would like to get his license too! And how would they pay for a car - does Gringotts do currency transfers? Anyway, do any of you have any ideas?

In the second book, Hermione parents changed the muggle money into wizard money, so i think they would probably do money transfer.
For the floo powder, i think it only works to move to certain places, which got a connected fireplace, so they would still need other form of transportation.
I belive though that since Hermione is muggleborn, Ron would also live in muggle residents, or atleast semi-wizard village, like Godric Hollow.

Ah, yeah, I agree, it's great that she left some things unanswered!

That way we can guess and have our own ideas about it!
Well, I think they probably live in a town where wizards and Muggles live. And it would always be useful to be able to drive. Harry & co were taken to King's Cross by car some times... some Ministry employes knew how to drive. Well, I guess it's useful, even for wizards.
I think the first time side-along Apparition was mentioned in the books was in that Ministry leaflet in HBP. So I guess it's usually only used in emergancy cases...
It's so great Ginny becomes a professional Quidditch player! yeah! And all the others' jobs! It's fantastic!!
I'd love to read more about the 19 years!

After the Trio leaves the headmaster's office...
Who did George marry, does anyome know? He calls his first son Fred, right?!
It's a pity Colin Creevey died!

I can pictured him in my head, writing a biography about Harry and his friends so Rita Skeeter would (finally) shut up! Uhm, would she... lol I'm not so sure...
Aww, it'd love to know how many kids Bill and Fleur got! Victoire as their eldest daughter.... with Ted! Ha!

i think the quiestions your asking are what you dont realy need to know you need to just asume what hapened jk cant tell you everything in the books coz thats boring explaining every little thing that happened in those 19 years.

I'm too interested in the details, but I think it wouldn't be good to reveal everything about that 19 yrs, it would be too much annoying. I mean maybe it would be better to know only some little details, but not every little moment. If every main events are being told, what remains to our imagination? JK should clear up a few thing about the life after LV, Hogwarts and generally how did their life go on, but I think that's all what we need to know.

I like the fact that there isn't to much detail! It makes it a lot easier to write, and read, fan fiction. I do hope that she will tell us more, but I dream of a book in the middle! That would be wonderful!

Hey how did you all find out that Ginny was playing Quidditch professionally? Did it say that in the epilogue? Because I can't remember.

Yes, I was curious about that too. Becaue it wasn't in the epilogue and I haven't read anything about what Ginny does after the book ends. Nor have I heard anything about it from anyone else so an aswer would be much appreciated, thanks.

Soon after the 7th book was released, Rowling said in an interview (where she often elaborates on such things!

) that Ginny had played professional quidditch, for a team called the *Harpies, for a couple of years before she married.
*definition:
harpy |ˈhärpē| noun ( pl. -pies) Greek and Roman Mythology a rapacious monster described as having a woman's head and body and a bird's wings and claws or depicted as a bird of prey with a woman's face. • a grasping, unscrupulous woman. ORIGIN late Middle English : from Latin harpyia, from Greek harpuiai ‘snatchers.’
I find it quite amusing that one of the definitions for a harpy is
a grasping, unscrupulous woman. I'd like to see it as Rowling having a
Freudian slip !

I believe that Rowling - in an interview - said that Hermione was an attorney in the wizarding (not muggle) world. She helps the less fortunate. Think SPEW.

Well JKR has already told us some things like,
*Ginny married Harry and joined the Holyhead Harpies.
*Harry married Ginny and became a Head Auror.
*Ron married Hermione and became a Head Auror.
*Hermione married Ron and became the Head of Magical Law Enforcement.
*Kingsley became Minister of Magic.
*Percy rejoined the Ministry under the rule of Kingsley.
*Neville married Hannah Abbott and became the Herbology professor at Hogwarts.
*Luna became a naturalist.
*Ginny and Harry had three kids, James, Lily, and Albus Severus.
*Hermione and Ron had two kids, Rose and Hugo.
But I also think that Luna got married, Draco Malfoy married Pansy Parkinson, Teddy went to live with Harry and Ginny, and George went on with the joke shop, assisted by the rest of the Weasley family.

*Draco didnt marry Pansy but someone we dont know and had a boy with her called Scorpio
*Luna married Rolf the grandson of the guy who wrote Wonderful Beasts and where you can find them (dont know the correct title)
*Teddy indeed lived with Andromeda. Thats what Rowling tells us in the Live Chat.
*Ron first assisted George with the shop and then George went on without him. He had at least one son called Fred after his late twin.

I read somewhere that Hermione was working for the Ministry's Department of Control and Regulation of Magical Creatures and then she moved into the Magical Law Enforcement Department.
On JKR's website we learn that Harry was made Head Auror until this year, so years before 2007 he was only an Auror.
Also, Ron moved into the Auror office after a while of helping George at Weasley's Wizard Wheezes, and as of today, he's an Auror.
Luna married Rolf Scamander, the grandson of tNewt Scamender, the man who wrote Fantastic Beasts and where to find them, and since she became a "naturalist" or it's equivalent in the magical world, she learned that not all the animals her father talked to her about where real.
Hannah Abott, the girl Neville married, is now the landlord of The Leaky Cauldron, and they both live above it.
After playing for the Holyhead Harpies, Ginny retired to pursue a family life, but is now the Sports/Quidditch correspondant for The Daily Prophet.
Also, Draco doesn't owe Harry anything (like one of those life debts or something).
And Harry struggled to get Snape's picture on the Headmaster's Office at Hogwarts, but he never went to talk to him.
I think I read it all in an interview JKR gave, that The Leaky Cauldron transcribed, but there's also some stuff in Wikipedia.

I really want to find out what happened to little Dennnis Creevey! I love Colin and Dennis, and I was so depressed when Colin died. I also really want to know what happened to Lee Jordan and Dean Thomas. Also: Charlie Weasley, Molly and Arthur, more about Teddy, Lucius and Narcissa, more about Draco, McGonogall, Flitwick, Sprout, and Sughorn. If anybody knows anything about them, would they tell me? I would love to know. Thanks!
I'm glad Ginny played pro Quidditch. I was hoping Harry would, too, but I guess Rowling had him slated as an Auror from the beginning.
It's great that Harry got Snape's portrait on the wall, but it's a shame he never spoke to him. I was hoping they'd make up, but I guess Harry has forgiven him since he named his kid after him!

Here's some stuff JKR said in an interview:
QUOTE
Quoted by Luna♥Lover
* James Potter II's middle name is Sirius
* Lily Potter II's middle name is Luna (YAY!!)
* Victoire has a sister named Dominique, and a brother named Louis
* George Weasley marries Angelina Johnson
* They have two kids: Fred and Roxanne
* Percy marries a girl named Audrey
* They have two kids: Molly and Lucy
* Draco Malfoy marries Astoria Greengrass, sister of Daphne Greengass, a Slytherin mentioned in book 1
* Luna marries Rolf Scamander whom works with her as naturalists, grandson of Newt Scamander, author of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them
* They have twin boys named Lorcan and Lysander
* Teddy Lupin is a metamorphamagus
* Neville marries Hannah Abbott
* Hagrid did not marry sad.gif
* Viktor Krum eventually found love in Bulgaria
* Cho Chang ended up marrying a muggle
* Victoire's birthdate is May 2nd, 1999, The one year anniversary of Voldemort's death- That's why her name's Victoire: It means Victory in French! This, however, is inaccurate to the series because she would already be out of school when Albus started, but Teddy Lupin came to see her off
* Harry becomes an Auror for the Ministry of Magic, and is later appointed head of the department. He keeps Sirius's motorcycle, which Arthur Weasley repaired for him, but he can no longer speak Parseltongue after Voldemort's soul fragment inside him was destroyed.
* Ginny Weasley plays for the Holyhead Harpies Quidditch team for a time, leaves to establish a family with Harry and later becomes the lead Quidditch correspondent for the Daily Prophet.
* Ron Weasley works at George's store for a time, Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes, then joins Harry as an Auror.
* Hermione finds her parents in Australia and removes the memory modification charm she had put on them for safety. She initially works for the Ministry of Magic in the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures, greatly improving life for house elves and their ilk. She later moves to the Department of Magical Law Enforcement and assists in eradicating oppressive, pro-pureblood laws.
* George Weasley continues his successful joke shop and names his first child Fred, in memory of his late twin brother.
* Firenze is welcomed back into his herd, who finally acknowledge the virtue of his pro-human leanings.
* Dolores Umbridge is arrested, interrogated, and imprisoned for crimes against Muggle-borns.
* Kingsley Shacklebolt is the permanent Minister for Magic, with Percy Weasley working under him as a high official. Among the reforms introduced by Shacklebolt, Azkaban no longer uses Dementors. Consequently, the world is now a "much sunnier place". Harry, Ron, and Hermione have also been instrumental in reforming the Ministry.
* At Hogwarts, Slytherin House has become more diluted and is no longer the pureblood bastion it once was, although its dark reputation lingers.
* Voldemort's jinx on the Defence Against the Dark Arts position is broken with his death. There is now a permanent Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher. Harry comes to the Defence Against the Dark Arts class to lecture a few times out of the year.
* A portrait of Snape, who briefly served as Hogwarts Headmaster, does not appear in the headmaster's office as he abandoned his post. Harry ensures the addition of Snape's portrait, and publicly reveals Snape's steadfastness.
* The Weasley children's ages have been clarified! Bill is the oldest, who is two years older than Charlie, who is three years older than Percy, who is two years older than the twins, who is two years older than the twins, who are two years older than Ron, who is one year older than Ginny
* That person in the epilogue who talks to loudly about broom regulations - That was Percy!
I hope this information is useful!

Thans Luna<3Lover! Almost all of that information was new to me and Im glad I read about it. I absolutely love the name Victoire snd the fact that she was named after the Victory over Lord Voldemort. It is kinda upsetting that Harry can't speak Parseltounge anymore but I think his life turned out pretty well, he did marry the girl of his dreams didn't he?
I would like to know when Harry and Ginny got back together and the details of there wedding and family. I would also like some clarification on whose kids were whose in the epilogue.

I'm not sure if I said it in my above post, but it has been announced that James is one year older than Albus. So, he's born in either late 2004 or early-mid 2005. Hope that helps!
