With the new year coming up, there are often a lot of new releases to the cinema around boxing day and new years. I was wondering what films people are looking forward to seeing in the new year.

Yeah, they ran a promo for 'Meet the Fockers' (PLEASE be careful with the typos on that one, won't you, guys? The 'u' and 'o' ain't that far apart on the keyboard.... ) today and I really fancied that one. Barbara Streisand is a modern legend, you know...'What's Up Doc' is one of my favourite movies...and 'Hello Dolly'. She's got a real natural talent for comedy, as does Robert de Niro and Dustin Hoffman, of course, so that one looks a real winner.

I quite fancied National Treasure too...kind of a modern-day Indiana Jones with Nicholas Cage to boot!! Lovely jubbly.....

Can't say I much fancy Lemony Snicket though...I tried reading the books a while ago and they had way too much of a creepy Roald Dahl edge to them for my liking.

Good movies seem to be pretty thin on the ground at the moment.

I'm not a big movie fan but i can't wait until the final Star Wars movie comes out! i know the last two movies had nothing on the first three but it's going to be really intresting to see how Anikan's (excuse the spelling) transition into Darth Vader. However it won't be a very happy ending Lia and Luke will get seperated, all the Jedi will probabily be killed with the exception of Yoda and obi-Wan Kenobi and theres a good chance Queen Amidala (sorry about the spelling again) will die as well. But on the up side it will probably be the last time we will see Jar Jar Binks.

Does anyone know if mr. Lucas will make three films set after the return of the Jedi?
that would be brilliant even if they didn't come out for another 20 years.

I'm surprised that no one mentioned FF7 Advent Children. Judging by how many people love the FF series and that FF7 was, in my opinion, the best of them all, I'd think someone would have mentioned it. Oh, if you see the new trailer, make sure you watch until after the "coming 2005". Bit of a shocker to me considering how much I know of this plot already. PM me if you want major spoilers on it.

have you seen the preveiws for 'madagascar'? it's a moive that's coming out in may, about some animals in the centeralpark zoo that are trying to preak out. i've seen them, and it's just HILARIOUS!!! i was seriously cracking up when i saw the trailer!! the penguins were really funny! two favorite quotes from it were "the penguins are sicotic!" and *as the penguins are scooting along the deck of a ship or something, the leader says:*"cute and cuddly, boys". LOLOLOLOLOL!!! but my favorite part was at the end of the trailer where the lion is running up form the subway saying "i'm free! i'm free!" and all the people are running an screaming, then that grandma starts beating the dung out of him kung-fu style, and he says "oh! ah! ow! lady, what is WRONG with you!?" that was just HILARIOUS!!!!

So X-men 3 came on on DVD (well comes out tomorrow in the UK, but we had it delivered early)So I watched last night all the way through, as I had to leave the cinema with my nine year old first time round.

I saw X-men 3!! I haven't seen the first two, but I definately enjoyed this one anyways. It was pretty cool, well made.

I can't wait for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix comes out!!! I would also like to see Happy Feet, The Holiday and James Bond : Casino Royale.

Im loooking foward to seeing the Pursuit of Happiness. Anyone else interested in seeing it? It is with Will Smith, I am not sure of the story like totally but it is sort of "rags to riches"

I have never heard of Pursuit of Happiness though if it has Will Smith in it, it might be worth watching . I would also quite like to see Deja Vu because my big sister has seen it and she says it is really good so now i really want to see it!!!!!

I'm looking forward to Eragon which is out know in Britian.

My chinese teacher whose from China went and saw Casino Royale and it was soo funny he came back swearing a TON and he had no idea what any of it meant! It was great I haven't seen it and I already love because class was actually fun that day!

I am so waiting for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, I can't wait to see that! I also want to see Touristas and Black Christmas, which comes out Christmas Day. Being a big Horror Movie buff thats why I want to see the latter.

I saw a preview for Pan's Labyrinth today and it looks so amazing. I need to look it up and make sure I know when exactly it's coming out! Has anyone else seen previews for it?

Pathfinder looks absolutely brilliant. Karl Urban is in it, and gorgeous as always . It's very dark and beautiful.

The film I'm most looking forward to is Sweeney Todd. What's better than Johnny Depp and Alan Rickman...singing....together!!! And it's directed by Tim Burton! That's just an added bonus right there!

POTC3 is of course on my 'must see' list

I now know what Pursuit of Happiness is because i'm watching the T4 presenters interview Will Smith about it and it showed a clip of it and i think the little boy is so cute!!!! And Will looks pretty funny !!

Hmm, I've never heard of a movie releasing on a sunday. Maybe I'm mistaken though. Around here they usually start in the middle of the week or possibly on a friday.

Has anyone else seen the previews for Happily N'ever After? I know it's an animated movie and call... but it's from the people who made Shrek, so I want to see it. It comes out tomorrow!!
Definately psyched for POTC3 as well... Johnny Depp is gorgeous. And, clearly, the movie is just amazing too.
