Don't
do that to me! David Thewlis being Lupin is the reason I'm
watching HP movies! (Well, if he suddenly wasn't, I'd still watch 'em, but I would with narrowed eyes and sour expression).
I haven't been scared so much on VTM since the S.P.E.L.L Forum played an April Fool's joke and I thought Thewlis was leaving then, too.
I had the EXACT same reaction!

I was FREAKING out! He's not the reason I watch the movies, but I am QUITE happy with how he portrays him.
Haha, I don't remember that!

Probably blacked it out!

Thewlis brings a new life to Lupins character in the movies. It's a shame that he di not get a bigger billing in the fifth movie, they should definitely have included him in the scene when the order members collect Harry from his aunt and uncle's home. I have mentioned this in one of my posts before that a lot of fanfictions that came out subsequent to Prisoner of Azkaban movie did seem to have been inspired by Thewlis in the manner in which they portrayed Lupin in those stories. So he's had a big impact on how fans perceive Lupin. I can say for myself that in the subsequent books, Six and Seven I could imagine Thewlis speaking when it was Lupins dialogue. Thus, his return to the series would be good for Lupin fans (like me) and Thewlis fans (like me again). He may not have a very important role in the sixth book, but his role expands greatly in the final book and so far he has owned every scene he has been in

Oh my God, I love you! best thing that I've heard all day!
If they got rid of Thewlis then...thry might get the fans' original choice to play him: Jude Law. That would be bad. So very bad!
I agree that his role isn't very...big...in HBP, but those small parts are what makes all the important parts good in DH. Hopefully they put all (or at least, most) of this into Lupin's movie character.
Sorry for the miscellaneous post, it's been a long day!
YES! SAME HERE! FANTASTIC post, mayfair!
Jude Law? He actually tried out for the part? Lord, PLEASE no!

That would NOT work!
Yeah...his role really wasn't. But I did LOVE all his parts...and the last...*happy sigh* They really do help with DH! I doubt that they'll put every part of his...he'll probably just be in the backround like ovie 5. *sad sigh*
Same here!
