Not exactly, lol--I agree that it'd be a cute ship, but JK has already explicitly shot it down--the only other ship besides HG/DM to be outright dismissed by JK as never happening--so that would be 'why they can't.' So unless Neville ends up with Ginny, it looks like poor Neville will not be getting any lovin' in DH...which is sad, but JK decided to do it that way....

Neville and LUna would be perfect. Opposite, but go well. Neither fit in very well. Luna could help Neville be less shy and nervous because she never cares what people think of her. Neville could learn that.

Just think: Neville's complete scattiness and Luna's complete scatiness. They just make a great pairing! Plus, Neville's so sweet I can't see why anyone wouldn't want to go out with him! Aww... he could go way out cool and get a stud radish earing! How cool would that be. Eventually, when Luna's dad eventually dies (R.I.P), they could take over The Quibbler together!

Although it wouldn't be the most important hookup in the book, I do think they would make quite a pair. They seem so similar, so quirky. Perfect for one another if you ask me.

Luna's personality would match Neville's personality very well. I love Luna! Maybe the could become co-announcers for more games! This one could happen since at the end of HBP, we see these two together at DD's funneral.

Awww... I love this couple... My friend who has read all 7 books is still convinced Harry/Luna ought to have happened(not a spoiler). I love both Neville AND Luna. I would not have minded Rowling bringing these two together despite the fact that I preferred Luna with Ron (Harry with Hermione and Ginny can go jump off a very high cliff! ).

I'm sure that by now most everyone has heard about Rowling's book reading where she mentioned that Neville and Hannah Abbott married. No mention of children. Luna married some free spirit that we had never heard about.

Rowling really messed up the pairings in my opinion. But then, she's the author and I'm a nobody.

I'm also sure that those of you who are devoted N/L shippers will continue to ship them, as I will forever ship H/Hr. It's the pairs that we each prefer. It's the pairs that we each think were meant to be.

Neville and Hannah Abbot? I don't recall the books ever mentioning a conversation between the two, let alone a friendship or anything more (forgive if I am wrong and have overlooked anything). I was really surprised when I heard about that.

Personally, I prefer to ignore Rolf and Hannah in my own personal post-DH universe; Neville and Luna just get married and live happily ever after. I can tolerate JKR's post-DH universe, but I can dream.

Neville and Luna would have worked, but mostly because of circumstance becasue both of them are outsiders in their houses...they each take on a bit of a heroic personality after a certain point, but I don't think either of them knew how to handle a relationship while story was developing...

Neville barely would have known what to do with a girlfriend and had no idea how a relationship works...Luna would have isolated herself in whatever reality she seems to be in.

In the epilogue of the of the seventh book is where i believe something may have happened between the two as each of them has matured into adulthood.

Neville and Luna on the other hand...I think they would complement each other remarkably well. Both the dreamy out-there side and then the brave, smart side. Like Luna's smart and knows so many fantastical creatures and things, and then Neville's brilliant with plants...

That's exactly right how you put that. Neville and Luna are both awkward kind of people, and fit together because of it. I think if they had ever gotten together, it would've been after the war, or something would've happened in DH, because that's where they both grow and learn the true nature they're capable of. Neville becomes more confident and outspoken in leading the DA, and after, would have the confidence to start something with Luna. Before he was too shy and needed to, well, find himself.

Luna proved that she can handle preassure and even throughout all the war stuff and fighting, she still managed to stay as Luna-like and serene as she normally is. She proved that she was strong enough, and not crazy like everyone thought.

Sorry i've just rambled a bit. But i think Neville and Luna would've fitted together perfectly.

Omg! They're kids would definetly be unique. But I think since Ginny likes Harry now, since GoF and the Yule Ball, than Luna would be Neville! *EEK* I think that Neville has become more confident of himself each year and is able to stand up for himself. Luna would bring out that more in him.

I'm still curious to what exactly happen to Luna (JKR left us wondering about a lot), but I think that there might of been a little connection between them after DH.

But boy, wouldn't their kids have been adorable! I mean think about it, with Neville's love of Herbology and Luna "unique" inquisite. I would of loved to see their kids go to school with Albus and the rest of them.

I think Neville and Luna would be one of the most realistic matches in the book. They are both so kind and loyal. It's uncommon to find such purely good people. They also support each others shortcomings well. An example of this is Luna's book smarts and some areas where Neville is lacking. Not to say I think Neville is dumb, that would be impossible with his skill for botany. Also, I don't think Neville would mind Luna's dreaminess. I think he would be into how she's true to herself. One con, I don't think Neville's grandmother would be too fond of Luna initially. Once she saw the qualities they share with Neville's parents though that would probably change.

Yeah, of course. They would be perfect for each other. I was kinda disappointed when I read the epiloge and they WEREN'T together it was like, come Jo! We want them together! They are both wierd. (Or at least Luna is and Neville is sorta, he is almost a squib and loves wierd plants like Luna might like). I am also suprised that Luna wasn't teaching at Hogwarts and did it even say anything about her in there (the epilouge)? But yeah, yeah, yeah.

Oh, well I've only read that book once; I'm working on rereading again, so I don't really remember. I think we should of had more information about life as adults. We can assume some stuff, but some you never know. I still love Neville and Luna anyway.
