Padfoot and Moony because they make such a good couple!

I liked Sirius' charcter in the books, he was like a teenager himself and he was friedly with practically everyone.
I liked Remus' character because he was so quiet, shy and a 'bookworm' - like me! The fact he befriended Harry and believed Sirius instantly... add the fact he's a werewolf

i got most upset about dumbledore dieing. with sirius it was a bit sad but i was just like ok he died, everyone does eventually. i guess its because he wasnt in all of the books and not one of the major characters. with dumbledore though he was such a powerful figure who, at least to me, could never die. he was always a strange, old man who always helped harry, just enough, to get through whatever it was that he (harry) needed to get through.
i was also very sad about dobby dieing.

Out of those choices I was most upset about Tonks dieing. She was always so loyal, and so nice to Harry that it was sad to see her go. But out of all the characters in the series, I think I was most upset about Dobby's death.

oops, i forgot to put in Dobby's death in as a choice. yeah thats a big death and a sad one.

I've chosen Dumbledore from the list, it could be everything differently if he remained alive. Cedric's death was so unexpected for me, I was really upset. And the other which I would say is Dobby, I think maybe his death was the most shocking, I've never thought that... So I'd choose more than one, I can't say just one.
If you can PotterPlotter, I think you should put Dobby also into the list.

I loved Lupin and Tonnks! They were so very great together. And right after they had little Teddy. And JK killed them off so undramatically. Lupin was the coolest character ever! And why did so many people vote for Sirius? Lupin was way cooler than Sirius and James combined. And Rowling wasn't even intending to kill off Lupin and Tonks in the first place! That's dumb. Oh well.

Fred Weasley! Ther rest of the deaths in the books are pretty predictable though i didnt want them to die either... But I was hoping that the Weasley twins stay united till death! I thought they were the best characters in the book and was really disappointed when i found out one of them died. Too bad i couldnt vote for two of them because my second choice would have been Snape. The whole time i knew he was on the good side and idk he was the most mysteriouis out of all of them. even though his memories cleared up some things i still wanted him and Harry to become closer to each other...

Sirius all the way, I still cry when I read that sad, sad part... And the reaction of Harry after that is also heartbreaking. I could appreciate how Harry felt, Sirius being a kind of father for him, and now yet again losing a loved one.
After Sirius Dubledore was the most sad death. I can understand why he'd have to die, but it's still shocking. Especially 'cause Snape was the one who did it. (Well, that isn't shocking now anymore, but at the time it certainly was. I really hated Snape.)
I also had to cry with Dobby's death, that was just so sad... he died saving Harry.
Wow, ther're a lot sad part in the Harry Potter books!

'Cause nearly all deaths were terrible. And I've just mentioned three.

severus snape!!! i still feel a pang whenever i remember that snape was already gone. although i already knew before deathly hallows that he will be gone before the end of the series, i was still sad. after all the things that he'd have done, he doesn't deserved it, but he undoubtedly will choose that path in ending his life, he was brave after all.

I'm split between Remus and Tonks, so I didn't vote. They were a pair, and they died together, laid by each other. I stared at their names written in ink in front of me on the paper for minutes. I didn't want to believe it. And they were the ones that JK didn't intend to die
but the reason she gave us is acceptable

Fred Weasley was my favourite, no question about it! He was always so cheerful and humorous. He was able to make jokes even of Voldemort, like then in Potterwatch or at the advertisement of his and his brother's shop. It was extremely brave of him to laugh at Voldemort in such dark times. It's not only the matter of the lack of fear of punishment for it. It's simply the matter of his ability to joke although the atmosphere of panic surrounded everyone.

Sirius was my favourite, the way he died was so sad
I cried for days!
Also Tonks and Lupin because they were so cute together and they almost reminded me of Harry's parents
Especially when they died and left Teddy Lupin without parents, it really reminded me of Harry's parents death.
When Tonks and Lupin died I cried so much, I couldn't stop!

Fred's death was like a grandslam at my face. i was shocked by his death, even more by the manner of it. just when he and percy were starting to get along, too...it was sad how jo pictured that fred's last action before death was to laugh... i mean, that's what he n george does best, eh? i was heartbroken by this scene. it's strange, but i think only in fred's death that i have ever properly went 'No....he's not dead. He just cant' ... this is bcoz i was spoiled in DD's death.
i am not pleased with the manner how Snape died, i mean he died as a real hero, the prince of the series. he had a terrible life; rejected by lily, then having to perform missions for DD with the cost of losing trust from the Order...he mustve had a really lonely life. i pity him.

All the death's shocked me, not only by the number but the people who left us. I think Tonks and Lupin's deaths were rather pointless, but the one I was most shocked with was Snape's.
He was such a brave yet mysterious and complicated character, and that, I think makes him one of the best characters in the book. I adore Snape and think he is such a hero and important person, he's so amazing. The sacrifices he made for Lily and Harry proved he truly loved her, and that, I think, makes all the difference.
I think a character like Severus Snape should of had a better death, because his was brutal and painful and he didn't deserve it. Conclusion, I love Snape, he is my hero.

Well, ever since I read the chapter about Snape's memories in Deathly Hallows he has been my favourite character in the series. I admit there were times that I hated him but after I knew what he went through he seemed like such a brave man risking his life for Harry that he just became my favourite character.
That being said there are two other characters that I really like who died and those are Fred and Sirius. The twins were brilliant in the books and some of the quotes and actions were so memorable whilst I always liked Sirius and his personality and how he would always stand up for Harry.

My favorite character who dies in the entire series is still Professor Dumbledore, I think because during the earlier portions of the story arc we witness all the stances and actions he takes that made me admire him. Now that we know he strove to live beyond his own mistakes and impart wisdom out of hindsight instead of pacing for 80-plus years with epiphanies grounds his characterization. Dumbledore dropped hints that he was in fact more human or guilty than we knew, particularly with his conversations with Harry.
After Dumbledore I'd say it's tie between Remus, Dobby and Snape.

OMG Dumbledore, Dumbledore, Dumbledore, Dumbledore, Dumbledore!

How can it even be anyone else! Yes, of course I miss the Marauders, thier ladies (Tonks+Lily) Fred (Why couldn't it have been Percy?) Dobby (R.I.P but let S.P.E.W. live on forever!) and all the rest killed mercilessley (sp?). But how could Dumbledore die? He rawked! (rhymes with Fawkes) I guess he kinda had to die, though...

One of my favorite characters that dies is Dobby. he has always tried to help harry even when he was breaking rules. Then in one of the most important parts of DH he helps harry, ron, hermione, olivander, luna, dean and griphook escape from the malfoy manor, i mean he saved a lot of people!!! Thenhe is injured protecting Harry and dies. How could you not love a characer that helped without looking for a reward?
I am not saying the rest of deaths aren't important or shocking, but in a sense they were somewhat expected. But Dobby dying came out of nowhere.
Lupin and Tonks were my other choices but even thoguh i like Lupin a lot his death was expected. but Tonks dying was also shocking and I liked her because she was really funny.

Tonks all the way! She was so cool in all the books she was in. I loved her hair, and the fact that she always had good intentions that were held up by her clutsyness. I wish we could have seen more of her. She was a funny and interesting characher.

I was soo sad when Fred died! the Weasly twins had always been a favorite of me and I creid for a good ten minutes before I could start reading again. I also was devataed when Lupin and Tonks died! i felt soo sorry for Teddy, but then again, he had Harry as a godfather... that must have been interseting

My favorite character that died is probably Bellatrix, she's such a cool character. I hate the things she's done and I think she's so evil and twisted, but I love her!!! I was kind of sad when she died, but I would've been devastated if another Weasley died, and I knew she was a goner in the last book anyways. I absolutely love Dobby too, he died such a heroic death. I really liked Fred, what will George do without his other half?

Hmmm well in chronological order I guess...Sirius Black hit me the hardest at first. He was the only family Harry had ever know. And Harry was in denial about it and angry and Dd so it was hard for me to read or see that death.
Then of course Dd himself. Ugh...I felt like he and Harry had gotten so close, and that knowing how much he loved Harry and believed & trusted him. It was really sad. It's like the world had ended.
And Finally in DH well there's Lupin which I feel more time or words or emphasis should have been put on his dying. He was a mentor to Harry, he was a maurader and his presence was important. On top of that he had a newborn son...
And Severus Snape...a true hero.. I was sad he died the way he did...it was unworthy of him and I wish Harry could have had the proper moment to acknowledge what Severus had done...after a lifetime of animosity. I always liked Snape though and I hoped that he'd redeem himself...man did he ever?!

Oh,too difficult! Sorry,I couldn't answer the poll

! I really cried when Cedric died because he was so young and nice but I am not saying he is my favourite character.Dumbledore was too old anyway so it's not a big harm.I liked him a lot though. So,I will have to go with either Sirius or Remus. They shouldn't have died.It was also bad (for me)that Tonks and Fred died.God,I almost forgot Snape. I knew he would die so it didn't hit me that hard but I was upset. But I guess he had to die. What about the others though?

That's really hard to decide. But I went with Fred. That was just so sad! I couldn't believe he died, I seriously screamed 'NO!' when I read that part. But then Sirius, Tonks Lupin Snape, Dumbledore, etc. those were all very sad as well. But Fred was the worst for me. I mean they're no longer the twins, which is sooooo sad!

I can't choose just one, it's between Sirius, Remus and Fred
Sirius was Harry's only family, and Harry's reaction to his death just made it even harder (I coped with his death badly enough as it is

)
Remus- I loved his character ever since I first read POA, and plus his death meant that all the Marauders had died
Fred- No more Fred and George! They were probably my favourite pairing of the series, I can't imagine 1 without the other

fred weasley was my choice obviously...I was a big fan of the twin ( er no I am )
and seeing the funniest, loveliest, greates character of all dying was more then i could bear..he was a great loss and noone can ever ever replace him..neither for george nor for us...there is a big gape where he has been...and I dont think that if the series went on that we would laugh half of the amount we laughed in the books he was in....

Can't quite remember if I've been here, but whatever:
Poor Lupin! Poor, poor Lupin! His character has the record of the only fictional character that ever made me full out sob. He and Tonks (who I'm also mortified about) were just...there! Lying on the bloody ground! A heroic death scene would have been nice, if they had to go, but...

After so many years of sadness, he find something--then he dies, along with what he found.
What a depressing moral to a story.

Oh! I choose Bellatrix, becouse she is cool. I like bad charakters and intresting and she was that. Of course I like: Sirius, Malfoys', James, Regulus, Voldemort, Dubby, Remus, Fred&George, Lestrange brothers and many other also (and mum of sirius:) ) but she is my favoutite.. no my favourite character is regulus, but she is 2nd.

Out of the choices definitely Sirius! He was such a good person and friend and he loved Harry so much and he was Harry's only family type of person that he had (the Dursley's don't count) and he died trying to save Harry
Also I think James would have been a fun character to read about and I wish we could've known more about him and Lily and there time at school!

I choose Dumbledore because I think he was one of the greatest characters. He was wise and powerful and just really good at everything basically, it was terrible when died. He was the first character in the series I cried about. I hated it in DH when it was making DD sound really bad, I was like ' Shut up Rita Skeeter!! Harry tell them what a great man he was!!' I was so annoyed at them insulting his memory like that! lol
But anyway, he is definatley my favourite character that has died in the series, closley followed Sirius/Lupin/Dobby. Lol I'm a like(ed) them all.

I chose Fred Weasley. It was to sad and very cruel for Fred to die. He had a twin brother and had only just reconnected with Percy. Oh, it was so so so sad.
If I had more choices, I would have chosen Lupin and Tonks. Poor little teddy!

Severus Snape!! I still get a heavy feeling in my chest thinking about it. While I didnt like the manner in which he died (was hoping for throwing himself in front of Harry to save him or the like because I did know he would die in Book 7) I have to admit the way in which JK wrote his death was very powerful. I loved Snape's character from Book 1 (love

the movie character even more!) and knew he was a good dude from the start.

I chose Fred! The way it was written was so sad and was a huge shock for me. I had to put down the book for a while because I was crying so hard... I also thought it was sad that george wasn't with fred when he died. The twins were my favorite characters and they should not be split up. When I think of george being with out his twin for the rest of his life it makes me cry all over again.

1.I am sad That Dobby died. He was one of my fave characters in the book.
2. I'm also sad for Fred Weasley. It was sheer cruelty to kill such a person.
3. I dont mind DD dying, I've never liked him much. But I was shocked.
4. Sirius's death was tragic too.
5.I'm also sorry about Lord Voldemort. I feel pity that he didnt have much love in him. Poor soul, it was bcoz of the way he was brought up. Still,he had to die.
6. I was so sad about Snape dying. At first before the revelation I was shocked by the cruelty shown by voldemort and after it I was speechless. I almost cried.
7. Hedwig's death was sad and unnecessary.

Mine was Fred Weasley because he was always so funny and adding comic relief to the series. And I think it was very symbolic that he died laughing because his character's always been known to that.
The twins were my favourite Weasleys, I felt so bad that George lost and ear and Fred died
I think Jo really ripped them apart because they always were so happy and cheerful and always planning bright futures on their joke shop but now one of them's all alone without his evil twin lol!
