I miss Fred! May He rest in peace!

Yeah, it'll be devastating watching it happen, having the image of them laying there peacefully etched permanently into your brain.

Other scenes might be a lot more emotional too, because you can see how the actors are able to subtly react, and it'll feel more personal and heartbreaking.

oh no!!! i don't think i will be able to stand watching them all die!!
it was hard enough reading about it! but to see the characters that we love come to life and then get killed! ooo that's going to hurt!!!
but i think i'd prefer to be crying during the film because it'll prove that the film was "done" properly! i mean if they can't make an emotional book into an emotional film then the film just wouldn't be right!
but i'm not looking forward to watching all those characters die! it's going to be such a hard film to watch!! i'm going to have to take a whole box of tissues in with me!! it was bad enough just reading about it!!

this is so true !!!! it will be pretty hard its quite easy to make me cry and im sure this film will be no exception its because we have grown to love the characters and although theres not too many that die it will still be sad ill be crying for the deaths and the fact that will be the last new harry potter item out

oh i don't know, but it would definitely very emotional especially the look at me scene ahh. . . so sad, it would really be difficult for me to watch that scene. i hope they made this scene really good and try to stay as emotional as the book.
aside from the that, i think if they do the scene of dobby's death, wherein harry dug the graveyard, he was in a state of grief and lost, it would also really be emotional.
and maybe if they have a scene for those who have died in the battle of hogwarts, seeing those faces lying there would really be devastating.

I will SOB when snape, Fred, and Dobby die. That was SOOOOOOOOO sad for me! I hope they do the deaths justice. If I don't cry, then it wasn't done well.
Well, Lupin and Tonks, or Dora, or the Lupins, whatever you want to call 'em...where was I? Oh, yes, THEIR DEATHS KILLED ME! Seriously, DH is the first novel that has made me full out sob. It'll probably traumatise me if they show them on screen, but I have been saying I want to see their deaths happen so I know how, which'd kill me even more.
All the others I'm loable to get teary at, now. Argh, emotion!
(What's even worse, is that david Thewlis plays Lupin, and I love Thewlis, and everytime I've seen him die on screen it emotionally warps me...Kingdom of Heaven...head in pile...Omen...head lopped off...Gangster No.1...shot numerous times...survived, but still...I'm rambling...)
Basically, I'd sob my big orange eyes out! (Yes, orange, you read correctly).
I got teary during Sirius' death in the book, but the movie had me confused. Not emotional at all.

I will definitely cry.
Guaranteed.
I cried so hard in this book, it was the hardest I've ever cried in my life for a book or movie. I cried when Harry was walking back to the forest to meet Voldemort, when he was reflecting on his life and what he was going to miss. Then I cried when it was over, because it was the best book I ever read and it was...over. The fact that there were no more books coming out was too much for me...I cried for about an hour or two. And the movie better make me cry...or else they didn't do the deaths justice.
Uh oh, I am crying thinking about it now...

I'm not sure if I've got enough tears left to cry!
It'll be like reading the book all over again, except you'll actually see the actors crying. Like dying again. Wait a sec, it doesn't even hurt! Right you are Sirius!

I probably will not cry for the deaths. I did not when I read the book except for when I got a little teary-eyed for Dobby and Tonks

. However, seeing it on screen and knowing and seeing what actually happened, may or may not be even more sad. Hopefully it will be less sad, so nobody will cry.

If he makers of the movie find a way to capture the emotions that go with the deaths in the book I really think I will cry... it's just so sad. I think if Yates will make the 7th movie I will cry, he somehow found a way to capture the emotion in the 5th movie so that would be great. We'll see in 2010 I guess!!

errr...2010...so far away....
But I also really hope Yates captures the emotions when DD gets killed by Snape and at DD's funeral. I probably won't have any tears left after Deathly Hallows though...

Well... I'm not incredibly emotional so i don't know. I might have at the most have some tears in my eyes. As to the fact you've traveled with thesse characters for a long time. And to see it on film is obviously a tincy bit upsetting. I guess. I may have tears i think. But a few. Most likely when it comes to Dobby. As has been said i think. If they do it right they can mkae it emotional it's all edgeing on how they present the deaths.

I would cry when I see my fave-characters dying. I almost cried when i read Snape dying. The scene is so touching. Then, for Fred too. Dobby's death will also be tragic to watch.

My imediate thought was no. But now that I've been thinking it over...I'm not so sure. I may. I didn't cry while reading till the whole Baby!Harry thing and 'The Forest Again'. I MIGHT cry when Fred dies, but it's more likely that I will when Lupin and Tonks are dead....and not really cry, more of a tear up, same as before. Hope I see it in theaters before DVD..that way it's too dark for anyone to see!

It's more likely that I will cry in 'The Forest Again' scene.

Yeah, I will cry pretty hard when Dobby and Fred die, and probably Hedwig.
And probably the most when Harry does, even though, well you know.
But I agree with you x_men_lver_55 because the worst part of it will be that it is...simply...over!
It will be so hard to face; the fact that there is no more Harry Potter coming out.
It was horrible after the book, I was an emotional mess for a week.
But, maybe they will remake them after a few decades...actually I wouldn't be suprised if they did. That would be weird though...without Dan, Rup, and Emma.

I'm not being cruel or anything (The deaths in the book devastated me) but the deaths are my favorite parts of the movie because they are so dramatic and my favorite characters(death eaters, ya I know they're evil, they're interesting though!) are always involved. I really want to see Voldemort's death because it sounded so cool in the book. I think Fred, Snape, and Dobby's death scenes will affect me the most.

so sad they had to die.

Yeah, I'll cry. A lot. I cried for Harry in The Forest Again. Twice. Even though I knew he was okay, when I read it today, I was tearing up, and I was in the middle of American History! Everyone kept asking what was wrong... *sigh*.
Anyway, if they do it justice, I will cry.

I didn't cry in the book when my favorite characters died, but I think I might when I see it on screen. I hope I do, that would mean it was done really well. I think I will cry during the Forest Again, that was the part in the book when tears flooded my eyes. If they include it, I might cry when Dobby dies, that was so sad! And watching Ron and Percy's reactions when Fred dies will be heartbreaking...

Considering I sobbed for days when Fred died, I think I will be a complete mess actually seeing it happen on screen. I think that section will be really powerful. Also, I will cry when Dobby dies too. That book was soooo sad. I can't wait to see the movie, but it will all be over after that and I don't think I can handle that.

I might not cry at the precise moment Fred dies, but when George finds him I will bawl like a baby. I am actually both hoping they cut that scence and not cut it, I mean to not have his death in the movie will feel wrong but I don't know if I can handle it. I wonder if they will actually make it more dramatic.

I will totally cry when Fred dies- I mean, I'll have to bring a box of tissues to the movie with me- and chocolate! I'll also most likely cry when Tonks and Lupin die!
Going off topic slightly, I will most definitely be sobbing when Harry and Hermione visit the graves of Lily and James!
To sum me up, I'll be an emotional wreck by the time that movie is over.

As i have seen the 5th movie, i thought it was great. But once the scene came when Sirius Fell into the Veil i didnt cry at all. I just felt sad.[/i]

I didn't cry when Lupin or Tonks died although they're both my fave characters, because 1. I never really cry in books and 2. They don't have a deathscene!! It upset me, but doesn't make me cry! What made me get tears in my eyes was when Lupin showed photo of Teddy just before his death! And neither he or Dora gets a heroic deathscene! It's insane!!
I do hope they have a deathscene in the movie although that would probably make me force myself to choke my tears! At least they would get an ending they deserve!!!
And Lupin was one of Rowling's fave character? Are you kidding me??

Well I didn't cry whilst reading the book, and only a few movies have ever made me cry but I dunno. I reckon I probably will. I cry while watching the OC and Friends haha.

ok they cant not show dobby die. That made me cry my eyes out. Here lies Dobby, a free elf. <sob> They had better do justice to the deaths of Lupin and Tonks, like was not done in the books. They were the coolest, and they were killed off like expendable extras. Oh man theyre probably going to kill off little Nigel because of the apalling lack of Colin Creevey. That will be very sad. FRED! I will cry so much. As for Moody and Crabbe and Bellatrix and Voldemort - big deal, although i like bellatrix. I will cry for HEdwig. You should not kill animals, even in fiction:(

Oh, my goodness. I have instructions for the director. Like:
Cut out the scene with Fred dying and his brother's reactions. Selfish of me, but I just can't handle these things. During the final battle I'll have a sudden uncontrolable urge to leave and buy six or seven bags of popcorn, and dawdle around till the epilogue. Only show the good parts of the final battle, like Molly and Bellatrix's duel.
Shoot. There's no way to cut out Harry's "death". Just point the wand, flash the green, and go straight into the conversation with Dumbledore. I don't even want to see him hit the ground. As soon as the light flashes, the scene changes, got it? Don't go into detail with Hedwig. Just show a long thin object and a cage shaped thing tumble away.
Don't show Colin. His death was unnecessary enough in the book.
Just leave out every death in the battle until the end, and show clips of their faces later.
Bill Weezly
Jan 3 2008, 11:19 PM
I wouldn't go that far. You cannot cut out Fred's death, or Harry's "death" you can maybe cut out Colin's death, but significant deaths are part of what makes books and movies good. Seriously, in that situation, you could make a case for skipping Dumbledore's death, and nothing would make sense. It is sad, but it is best to leave significant death scenes from the book in the movie.

Everybody knows me as a strong girl...no tears...head up.I don`t really cry.But I'm sure I will cry at this movie.I read the book in 12 hours non-stop...and I cried a lot.I cried when Hegwid died cause he was innocent,he had nothing to do with their war,i cried when Moody died, when Dobby died (our little hero, may rest in peace),when Colin died. Not to mention FRED ,Lupin and Tonks. But the worst was in the end, when I realised that it's all OVER.I cried about two hours then I overslept and dreamed of all those things.
So i'm pretty sure that I will cry at the movie. If they can make it right.I don`t know how many of this scenes will be cut,but i hope they will manage to show all the emotions, that will make the film more intense.I hope it will be a good one, and in the end I'm sure i'll cry a lot, because it will be sad with all those deaths and because it will be the last Harry Potter thing.
I think it is normal that HP fans cry, we kind a grew up with this characters, and we love them..but we can keep them alive in our hearts by re-reading the books,re-watching the movies, remembering them.

I will probably be crying my eyes out. I mean, during the fifth movie, I had tears in my eyes when Sirius died and it wasn't even that sad! Deathly Hallows will make me sob hysterically. Fred, Tonks, and Lupin were some of my favorite characters (especially Fred). I can not bear to watch them die.... And Harry's "death" was soooooooooo sad. I wish that somehow they could leave all the deaths out, but I know it would never happen. And it would make the movie werid. On second thought, leave the deaths in... I guess... maybe... well, it depends. If they weren't in there, the movie wouldn't really be "Harry Potter" now, would it? Oh! I almost forgot! Dobby... I almost cried when Harry was doing his grave and he wrote "here lies Dobby, a free elf". So sad...

I've only been truly Sad for two of the deaths in the books, and they were Dumbledore's and Dobby's. Dumbledore's because it was so well written and you could see it so clearly in the mind, but I always saw his face as peaceful then, so it managed to bring a tear to my Eye everytime. Dobby was just the Protecter Harry loved and for him to die was just like a piece of his heart going. The way His grave was made is just so vivid. Those are the only ones I've cried at , and hopefully will be the best 2 in the films, because in the film, Sirius's was not done right.

Trust me, I'll be crying when Fred dies. By the time they show George's reaction I'll be bawling. When I read that part in the book I lost it. I'll probably get teary eyed when Lupin and Tonks die, but Fred..............who knows when the tears will cease.

I should cry when my favorite character dies. Actually I should cry when every character dies, well just the good guys I guess. But if I don't cry, then that means that either the acting was terrible and I was overwhelmed by bursts of giggles becuase of the chessiness and over acting, or the directing was horrible and it just wasn't dramatic enough. Either way, I think I will cry when Dobby dies. That is one of the saddest deaths in the books.
