I've seen that many members do not understand how to use the tags inside their post. It would ended up something like this :

I definately love David Thewlis!![font=times][size=2]

or

[font=arial][color=red]Gary Oldman is hot!!

(yeah... well, that's all I can think off at the mo... tongue.gif)

Well... if you are using Internet Explorer that it should be really easy for you, but if you use other browser than you have to do it manually...

Internet Explorer:
1. Click at the first letter you want to add tags in it and drag it until the last letter. e.g: For 'Gary Oldman is hot!!'... click on the letter 'G' and drag it until the last exclamation mark.
2. Click on any tags you want to add. If you want it to be bold, then click the 'B' button, or you want it in italics, click on the 'I' button... or... if you want to change the colors, then click on the COLOR list and click on the color you choose...
3. Done!! It's really simple...

If you want to make sure it'll work... it should look something like this

[*B][*I][*color=red]Gary Oldman is hot!![*/b][*/I][*/color]

EXCEPT the '*' symbol... I put it there so you can view the code...

While with Netscape or any other browser... well, it's also simple...
One thing you have to remember is to close the tag at the end of the sentences. Which means, whenever you use a [*B] tag (again, without the '*'), make sure you have a [/B] tag at the end of it or it won't work...

Every tag has to be closed with a slash '/' followed with the code you use...

In a nutshell:
1. Add a tag at the start of the sentence. E.g : [B] I definately love David Thewlis!!
2. End the tag with an open square bracket '[', a slash '/', the tag you use, which in this case the letter 'B' and a close square bracket ']'...
3. And you're done!!

It's really simple guys...

I really hope that helps!!

Since the Fanfic section had been splitted into two (Fanfic and Feedback forums), it is very important for the authors to include their feedback thread's link at the end of their post. So this is an addition to my previous post above to specifically outline how to add a 'http' links inside your post.

I'm adding it here instead of in the fanfic section because I think it's going to be useful to everyone and not just the authors.

It's very simple, when you get the hang of it, trust me... wink.gif

1. First, you need to find the link that you want to add. To do so, search for the thread itself and click on it. You'll find the link address at the top of your browser, usually something that starts with (http://www.veritaserum.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=****) (Note to fanfic authors: it's very handy to keep the link(s) with you together with your fanfic(s) in your disk drive for later use.)

2. Copy the address.

3. Now, go to the page where you're composing your new post. Inside the text box (where you type whatever you want to post), click on the 'http://' button just below the bold ('B'), italic ('I') and underline ('U') ones. It'll open up and pop-up of 'user prompt' where you can insert the address you've copied earlier.

4. Click 'OK' and insert the title for your link (Note to fanfic authors: You can put the title as 'Feedback Thread', for instance). Click 'OK'.

5. That's it!! You'll see a tagline inserted in your text box.

And you're done! smile.gif

See? Told you it is very simple... smartass.gif
