Okay I thought it was time to have abit of fun on this one board, the title says it all. Of course mabye you won't really throw it out the window. I took this idea from another thread I used to go on a lot. the funneist one I read was "If Ron and Harry started "going at it" I'd put the book down and throw myself out the window."

... if J.K. Rowling turned the book into a stereotypical and cliche slash fanfiction.

I like slash, but not if it is unoriginal.

i'll make a list...

1) if harry and hermione get together... I WOULD CRY!
2) if harry, ron, and hermione split up because of a fight or a relationship
3) if harry died and voldermont lived (but i don't think that would happen)
4) if hermione died my favorite character

there's a lot more, but i can't think of any more

that was a funny one.. harry and ron getting together... hehe i don't think JKR wants her books to contain gay content though

..... if Kreacher the house elf were the Half-Blood Prince

He he, I can image someone just walking their dog, and the book hits them in the head and is knoched out. People getting hurt is funny:).

5: If Salavar is the HBP

I'm not sure if I would actually throw it.. maybe burn it.. I like the idea.. It's a bit like witch burning.. Pointless.. But funny.. It'll still be sitting outside in the weather.. gathering dust and housing spiders..

If....There is no explanation (and it better be darned good) as to why Severus has been treated the way he has

If....Kretcher ends up at Hogwarts

If....There is too much nice treatment to house elves

If....Dumbledore becomes the new Minister of Magic

If....Sirius Black isn't mentioned in future books

I wouldn't throw book out of window... but burn it!

IF... Harry and Luna Lovegood end up together (yucky!)

1) if any of the three main characters die. even though i have a feeling harry will die im still gonna throw it out the window

2) if a weasley dies. i love them all!

3) if harry and hermione got together

4) if voldemort doesn't get defeated

5) if hp turned cliche

6) if hp turned really romancy and stuff. even though i ship r/hr i can't stand if it would get all huggy and kissy and stuff. i dont see ron and hermione doing that....

7) sirius black doesn't come back

8) if the grawp plot line doesn't get more interesting

9) if she doesn't stop with the spew plot line!!!

sorry about the last two but the story lines i dont find that interesting.
mainly i will throw my book out the window if anyone i really liked died. i swear i threw the fifth book across the room when sirius died but now i think he's gonna come back. or at least i hope...

If...Hermione doesn't end up with either Ron or Harry. It would be way to werid and random to pair her with Draco or Snape
If...the books turn into a teen drama, triangel thingy between the trio, I would be so upset, I'd cry

If...Sirius comes back to life

If...JK writes that silver does affect werewolves and Peter kills Lupin with his hand. (Seems I have a one-track mind)

If...none of the main characters die, or get some really serious injuries

If...all the Weasleys survive

If...Dumbledore is still perfect and doesn't grieve for anyone at all

If...Snape does turn out to be a vampire...maybe if he's animagus.

If...the Slytherins don't come around a little at least

Draco is a villian, he's been surronded with ideas of power all his life. I would be so mad if she just turned it around and mad him "good".

I happen to think that he will live. When she said that a character would die in GoF and a ton of people sent in letters begging not to kill Ron. I remeber the quote it's one of my favorties "Don't kill Ron, don't kill Ron, no one gives a d*** if Hermione dies." And plus it just won't be a happy ending if he died. Even if Hermione and Harry get married, there will be this gapping hole in Harry and Hermione.

Mmm....the main problem with that though is if she did bend to fans' will (which I don't think for a second that she would - if Ron is doomed, he's doomed and no amount of begging is going to change it - JKR has a very wicked sense of humour, you know...it would probably give her a bit of a kick to read all those letters... ) and killed Hermione instead, if no one cared, then there would be no emotional impact, would there? If no one cares about a character, when they die, people will be like, 'Oh...yeah...well....there we go then...that's a shame...next chapter please....' as opposed to the violent outpourings of grief that followed the publication of OotP......not to mention the HUGE crowd that HBP is now going to pull of people desperate to find out if that truly is the end for such a beloved character.....

In the end, it's all a matter of sales hooks, you know... HBP's sales have already skyrocketed.....

I think I would definately throw the book out...

1. if there is yet another unregistered animagus. I mean, after Sirius, Peter and James and later on in GoF with Rita Skeeter... I thought being an unregistered animagus tend to sound really cliches already... because if there's 4 wizards who were able to keep it a secret from the Ministry and then more of them revealed in later books, you begin to wonder what the heck did those people in the Ministry been doing? Slipping over these kind of things... it can get really dangerous having many unregistered ones walking around the wizarding world... and how much more incompetent can they get? They should find a way (a spell, or whatever detector they can come up with... they're in the Ministry, anyway...) to detect any other unregistered animagus and register them...

2. If Tonks turn out to be the traitor... *gasp* NOOO!! I've to admit that I've grown fond with that metamorphmagus witch... so... please no... *shakes head in sirius denial*

if sirius DID come back (i believe this is very important)
if harry didnt kill voldemort
if voldemort's mother came back
if Hermione and Ron hooked up (i would literally rip up the book burn it and throw it out)

Dana I was just posting that quote cause I think it's funny. And Hermione is my favorite character, I would be very sad if she died. But I think people don't think that Hermione will die, she's the herion and a represetion of J.K Rowling. So people put there enrgys into hoping Ron won't die.

* Kreacher doesn't run in to more than just a few harmful accidents and dies a long painful death
* we don't learn anymore about the maruaders in their school days
* those Sirius turns into a dementor theories are true
* Harry has a run in with a dementor
* McGonagall or Tonks become traitors
* we never learn about Wormtail's absence in OotP or Lupin's absences in GoF
* the slash ships or Draco/Lupin or DD/Ron come true
* the dark side wins the war once and for all
* people actually stick up for Fudge when he gets run out of office
* we get the unregistered animagus storyline once again

I like reading the James/Sirius school day parts as much as the next HP fan but we're kinda missing a big part of the story. Supposedly Harry having his mothers eyes will be imporant in HBP.

My room is on the second floor though and out of my window would be an extended roof of the kitchen. Meaning, if I *did* throw the book out, it'll be quite a back-breaking to get it back!

That reminds me of a book I'm reading "A Golden Compass"! Funny, it's a lot like Harry Potter... it's mainly in Oxford in the beginning! The girl's father was who she thought was her uncle, and her mom was someone that kidnapped her...

Anyway, I might chuck the book at my neighbor's house *or into the woods* if Lord Voldemort rules the skies... (aka, he wins, and Harry dies)
